THE 19TH CENTURY PLAGUE

By ATWadmin On September 24th, 2010 at 9:25 am

Not ALL politicians are mealy mouthed apologists when it comes to facing the issue of immigrants.

Billions of pounds of European taxpayers’ money should be spent fighting the “19th century-like plague” of gypsies, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said yesterday.

He claimed child beggars, prostitutes and burglars in shanty towns on the edge of major cities recalled the European squalor of Dickensian times and needed an urgent solution.

Speaking to politicians in Nice, he criticised as “hasty” those who condemned his crackdown on Roma people.

Liberals will squeal in outrage at Fillon’s comments but they remain mute on who PAYS for the gypsies that set up camp at our expense.

TAKE BACK THE 20….

By ATWadmin On September 24th, 2010 at 9:17 am

Sarah Palin goes on the offence with a new website..

TakeBackthe20.com provides information about the candidates in these 20 districts who are committed to repealing and replacing Obamacare. It has links to their personal websites and their donation pages. It allows you to read up on them, and then support them in their race to defeat those who gave us this terrible bill.

We have to send Washington a message that it’s not acceptable to disregard the will of the people. We have to tell them enough is enough. No more defying the Constitution. No more driving us off a financial cliff. We must repeal and replace Obamacare with patient-centered, results-driven, free market reform that provides solutions to people of all income levels without bankrupting our country.

It’s time to make a stand! Let’s take back the 20!

More and more she looks like the real engine at the heart of new politics and a certain Presidential candidate in 2012.

CUOMO MISREMEMBERS…

By ATWadmin On September 23rd, 2010 at 9:24 pm

So, who will WIN the race to be the next New York Governor? Well, there has been a dramatic development in the race for New York governor.

A new poll has Republican Carl Paladino within striking distance of Democrat Andrew Cuomo as voters say they want to elect someone who will stop the circus in Albany. Wednesday was supposed to be Cuomo’s day as he picked up the endorsement of New York City’s notoriously independent mayor, Michael Bloomberg, in the race for governor. But a new poll changed that because it turned Cuomo’s once comfortable front-runner status on its head.

Only six points separate Cuomo and Paladino in the Quinnipiac University poll. Cuomo now leads 49-43, with a plus or minus error of 3.6.

But for all his actions as the state’s chief law enforcement officer, Cuomo did have a little problem with telling the truth about his election box support for Mayor Bloomberg.

“Have I voted for the mayor? Yes,” Cuomo said.

Actually, he didn’t. The Cuomo campaign had to issue a clarification, saying he was only registered to vote in New York City in 2005 when he endorsed Democrat Fernando Ferrer.

So, could Cuomo lose it?

HITLER’S GHOST IN MANHATTAN….

By ATWadmin On September 23rd, 2010 at 9:16 pm

Hitler’s ghost arrived at the UN today and promptly blamed the US for 9/11.

“The US and other Western delegations at the 65th UN General Assembly have walked out in protest at the speech of the Iranian president. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said some saw the 11 September attacks on the US as part of a US conspiracy to protect Israel.

He was speaking on the first day of the week-long UN diplomatic marathon at its New York headquarters. The United States swiftly denounced Mr Ahmadinejad’s references to the 2001 attacks as “abhorrent and delusional”. The US delegation was joined in its walk-out by representatives from some 32 other nations – including all the EU countries, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Costa Rica. But Mr Ahmadinejad appeared undaunted by the protest, continuing his attack on Zionism and Israel.

Earlier, at the UN, Obama had once again suggested more nuanced diplomacy.

Not working out too well, eh? There is no debate with those grotesque tyranny and the longer the West indulges the fantasy that it can persuade Iran to change course the greater the danger. Iran cares NOTHING for the EU, for Obama and other free democracies. He has a zeal to destroy Israel and to finish what Hitler started. He simply MUST be stopped.

THE FUTURE OF THE EU…

By ATWadmin On September 23rd, 2010 at 8:14 pm

Have to say that I endorse the words of Lord Leach on the future direction of Europe…

Asked about the euro, Lord Leach replied, “I’m not against European cooperation…A complete free trade area would be perfect, that brings about prosperity. But a monetary union is also a political union and there it goes wrong. The European system of supranationality comes at the cost of democracy.”

He added, “More and more Europeans are starting to express their dissatisfaction with their lack of influence on European decision making. One of the most important examples is Germany. A considerable part of the population didn’t think it a good idea that Germany rescued Greece.”

When asked about the future of monetary union, Lord Leach said, “Politicians must understand that this isn’t a temporary crisis, but a permanent problem. It is no banking or debt crisis, but a problem of competitiveness. The South of Europe is too far behind on the North and will never be able, within one monetary union, to close the gap…I can not think of any satisfactory solution which does not lead to a breaking up of the eurozone as it is now. That could however be either controlled or uncontrolled. Controlled means that vulnerable countries would be led to the exit…An uncontrolled exit means that financial markets force a break-up.”

Irish politicians should listen up. They either save the Republic of Ireland and junk the Euro or their country will end up as junk and the Euro is saved.

SAINT BONO AND THE 1.2%

By ATWadmin On September 23rd, 2010 at 8:07 pm

The problem with Bono is Bono.

Bono’s anti-poverty foundation ONE is under pressure to explain its lavish salaries after it was revealed that only a small percentage of money it raises reaches the needy.

The non-profit organisation set up by the U2 frontman received almost £9.6m in donations in 2008 but handed out only £118,000 to good causes (1.2 per cent).

The figures published by the New York Post also show that £5.1m went towards paying salaries.

The bloated ego has eclipsed any virtue and Bono is indeed a One.

Police Release 6 Street Sweepers in Pope Plot News -6 Chimney Sweeps Still Held in Custody

By ATWadmin On September 19th, 2010 at 11:46 am

Scotland Yard released six street sweepers who had been detained in an alleged plot against the Pope that now has been determined to be no credible threat.  Apparently a tasteless joke in the sweepers’ cafeteria (a tasteless venue no doubt) when combined with the gentlemens’ ethnic background triggered the overreaction (both by the police and on internet blogs).

In related news Scotland Yard has not released  6 Chimney Sweeps found dancing and singing Chim Chim Cher-ee on London Rooftops.  According to their leader, a man named Bert, they were not followers of Osama Bin Laden but rather an unidentified nanny code-named Mary Poppins, who herself managed to escape the metropolitan police by flying away in a strong wind.  Security forces are concerned as the men may be in a terrorist cell with contacts with ex-military including Admiral Boom who has been known to fire a cannon from his home to mark the changing of the hour.

The Head of Scotland Yard, bristling with anger insisted that none of the sweeping plots would be swept under the rug.   The Vatican has remained silent on the plots, a reminder of their prior reaction to the child abuse scandal.

TOLERANCE…

By ATWadmin On September 19th, 2010 at 11:13 am

Did you read that The Seattle cartoonist whose artwork sparked the controversial “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day!” has gone into hiding at the advice of the FBI after being targeted by a radical Muslim cleric, according to the newspaper that published her comics?

Molly Norris has moved and changed her name, the Seattle Weekly said Wednesday, after U.S.-born Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki placed her on an execution hit list. Awlaki — who has been linked to the botched Times Square bombing and cited as inspiration for the Fort Hood massacre and a plot by two New Jersey men to kill U.S. soldiers — reportedly called Norris a “prime target” for assassination and that her “proper abode is hellfire.”

“You may have noticed that Molly Norris’ comic is not in the paper this week,” Seattle Weekly Editor in Chief Mark Fefer wrote Wednesday. “That’s because there is no more Molly.”

This is the threat we face. If one DARES attack Islam then the death threats follow and silence ensues. Those liberals who come here and drone on about how “we” heap vitriol on Islam might want to have a long look at the line “That’s because there is no more Molly”. Islam does not tolerate offence, instead  it stamps it out secure that gutless western liberals will cheer-lead as our freedom of expression is extinguished.

BIFFO SOBER AS A JUDGE….

By ATWadmin On September 19th, 2010 at 11:02 am

Some allege that Irish PM Brian Cowen is overly fond of booze.

It’s a habit he has long attempted to obscure – but one that many colleagues fear will now cost him his leadership of both party and country.

And now the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal the truly alarming extent – and duration – of Taoiseach Brian Cowen’s drinking.

Cowen loyalists have always reacted furiously to suggestions that the Offaly man is overly fond of the bottle and have managed to keep quiet a number of incidents over the years.

But a review of Mr Cowen’s public behaviour and his own admissions, coupled with extensive interviews of people who have witnessed the Taoiseach’s excessive consumption, reveals a habit of drinking that has been well known in Leinster House for more than a decade.

But where could they get that idea from?

To be honest, I don’t see why this is a problem and I think it a bit unfair that the media is going after Cowen in this regard. It’s his policies that matter most – although they have been enough to drive plenty to drink! Hic…
