hillary2.gifI wonder if you saw that Hillary Clinton is very concerned about a new Islamic terror attack on the US between now and the next election? Why is this, you may wonder? Is she worried about the tragic loss of life this would inevitably bring about? Is she concerned about the damage to the US economy at such a critical time? Speaking to the New York Post she declared that she is worried that a terrorist attack…MIGHT HELP THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!

Talk about narrow self-obsessed politicians! Newsbuster makes two great points here..

Firstly, how low has political campaigning sunk that any candidate for the Presidency would even consider saying something like this as part of a campaign? Whether a terror attack would or would not help a single political party should be irrelevant- all Americans should be working together to prevent a terror attack and to defeat our enemies. We should be working together regardless of who occupies the White House.

Secondly, how can any media outlet, especially one from a city that has first-hand experience of being attacked by Islamic terror, treat this statement as being a normal, straightforward campaign sound bite?

I found this to be an interesting take on the hopes of the Democrat Party. In essence, it argues that all the hopes of the Democrats rest on bad things happening to the United States. The Democrats rely on African Americans feeling discriminated against to ensure that they can capture that large vote. They rely on women staying single and not having babies since married women with kids vote for the Republicans. Marriage is bad news for the Dems. Immigrant assimilation is equally unwelcome as is a booming economy and any sense of real progress in Iraq. For the Democrats to win, America has to lose. Then, we all lose but the Left are back in power so that makes it all OK. Yes?

Did you know that the American troops at Guantanamo Bay eat babies for breakfast? Yes, and they also worship the devil for kicks whilst being permanently high on drugs. This is a FACT.

Well, it’s as factual as the "revelations" by the Libyan that Gordon Brown is so kee to import from Gitmo. Guess what? Yes, his captors repeatedly tortured him, subjecting him to beatings, sexual abuse and threats of execution. Omar Deghayes, 37, is one of five British "residents" (Non citizens) who the United Kingdom government last week asked the US to release from Guantanámo Bay, after years of refusing to help them because they were not UK citizens. Yesterday the family of Mr Deghayes decided to release a detailed dossier of alleged torture which the former law student dictated to a lawyer who visited him in the Cuban internment camp.

You see, poor Mr Deghabyes was captured by US troops in Pakistan. He had gone there from Huddersfield to..ahem…to start a fruit exporting business. Yes, quite. You can read his lurid allegations which the media repeat with relish. Deghabyes should be sent back to Libya forthwith but the drooling anti-American media will turn him into a hero, a poor innocent man whose only crime was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Apparently most of those held in Gitmo fall into this category – or so Al Queda and the MSM want you to believe. Don’t swallow their lies!

twin%20towers.jpgSo, do you agree with columnist Stu Bykoksy when he asks of the American nation….

"What would sew us back together? Another 9/11 attack.

The Golden Gate Bridge. Mount Rushmore. Chicago’s Wrigley Field. The Philadelphia subway system. The U.S. is a target-rich environment for al Qaeda. Is there any doubt they are planning to hit us again? If it is to be, then let it be. It will take another attack on the homeland to quell the chattering of chipmunks and to restore America’s righteous rage and singular purpose to prevail.

I disagree. We do not need ANY more successful Al Queda attacks on US soil and the consequential loss of innocent life. If the US political elite and media cannot learn the lessons of 9/11, they never will. I fear that it is not the frequency of terrorist attacks nor the emotional tremor that would follow thousands of more deaths. It is about the will to win a war. It is impossible to wipe Al Queda off the map entirely primarily because it is located in so many countries and contrary to what the columnist says, if the US people cannot accept a long war then they will endure a long defeat. All out attack is the best option here but handicapped by a hostile media and an opportunistic Democrat opposition, the GOP appears to have run out of inspiration and steam. It’s high time the current Bush team was changed for a new more aggressive team, and that will require the 2008 election. Until then, let’s pray there is NO repeat of 9/11.

Wonder what you make of the news that white people are now the minority in nearly one in 10 counties in the United States?

Black and Hispanic people are outnumbering the white population in once white-dominated areas and increasing numbers of residents are complaining, according to reports. Experts warn that the spread of immigrant communities from cities to the suburbs and beyond is fuelling resentment. "There’s some culture shock," said Mark Mather, of the Population Reference Bureau, a Washington-based research agency. "But I think there is a momentum building and it is going to continue."

So, what are the likely consequences of this? Are WASP’s becoming extinct? The massive inflow of immigrants from Mexico is having a profound impact on US demographics. How do Americans view this and what, if anything, needs to be done. I suppose those counties in which Whites are a minority will now legislate to allow positive discrimination to ensure Whites get a boost? Yes?

Nigger. Bitch. Ho.

Three words that New York City Council wants to see banned.

The N-word is already banned.

The B-word is up for a ban though apparently though even council members are saying that they use it to their wives.

The H-word doesn’t seem to attract much comment for some reason but I can imagine that many New York rappers may struggle with their "art" if they can’t have access it.

Not sure that banning words is a good idea at all. All three words are nasty and crude but banning them seems misconceived. What do you think?

Is Newt Gingrich right when he says that the past six years has largely been a “phony” war on terror?

“Attempts of degrade the Al Queda terrorist group had left the organization constrained but still potent, having “protected or regenerated” the capability to attack the United States in ways that have left the country “in a heightened threat environment.””We have to take this seriously,” said Gingrich.”We used to be a serious country. When we got attacked at Pearl Harbor, we took on Imperial Japan, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany,” he said, referring to World War II. “We beat all three in less than four years. We’re about to enter the seventh year of this phony war against … [terrorist groups], and we’re losing.”

Gingrich said he would lay out in a Sept. 10 speech what a successful U.S. approach to this threat would have looked like over the past six years.”First of all, we have to have a national energy strategy, which basically says to the Saudis, ‘We’re not going to rely on you,’ ” he said. The United States imports about 14 million barrels of oil a day, making up two-thirds of its total consumption

Some interesting comments. I do agree that the US (AND the rest of the West) needs to get away from our over-reliance on the likes of Saudi oil. I also agree that the war on terror has lost all momentum and that nations like Iran and Syria should be attacked, they are just as much part of the axis of evil as Iraq was. Like Gingrich, I have lots of confidence in our warrior caste in the military but little in the politicians that direct them.

jesus%20toy.jpgThe latest best-seller in Wal-Mart’s wide shelves is one of a series of religious figurines, such as Daniel (of in the lion’s den fame), Samson, Delilah; the best seller is Jesus, looking remarkably un-Semitic, naturally, as this is America. Now as to the rights and moralities of selling thousands of religion-based toys, I would refrain from commenting, as I believe that everyone should (but usually doesn’t) think before indulging their kids in ephemera which reinforces a pattern of belief. Along with many others, I remain forever slightly cynical about faiths whose preachers routinely fail the very tests set by their own religions, those usually American fire-breathing fundamentalists who strangely end up either extremely wealthy, or in jail on theft or perversion charges; or for that matter, those who routinely denigrate believers in all other faiths but their own!

My point is that hopefully, they won’t expand the range of toy-sized deities to Greek mythology, as in Medusa, whose stare was definitely one to be avoided; to Scientology, wherein figures of Tom Cruise-styled figures would of course have to be made larger so as to drown out the fact that he is quite small; or to the Amish, mainly because all the younger kids would want to buy the "building the barn" scene from Witness, thus providing world-wide shortages of wood and very thin rope; and all the older male kids would jump for the Kelly McGillis figurine, (and what a figurine that would be!) Not forgetting that if the Wal-Mart suppliers got really unlucky, they would source a large shipment of figurines of Muhammed, and we all know what happens when the Islamics get wind of any sort of graven image, don’t we?

I note that Police said they recovered firearms linked to the slaying of an Oakland journalist during a series of early morning raids Friday targeting members of a Black Muslim splinter group that operates a chain of bakeries.Colleagues said Oakland Post editor Chauncey Bailey had been working on a story about Your Black Muslim Bakery before he was ambushed and slain Thursday morning near the Alameda County courthouse in downtown Oakland. Before dawn, officers raided the Muslim group’s headquarters at the original bakery on San Pablo Avenue, as well as three houses in Oakland. They arrested seven people on charges including homicide, robbery and assault, including the son of the group’s founder. If it turns out that this BLACK MUSLIM group were responsible for the brutal murder of Mr Bailey, I trust they will be given the most severe punishment applicable.

bonovertigoPA.jpgI note that the Republican National Committee (RNC) took the first step yesterday endorsing a proposal by Irish rock star Bono to spend an estimated $30 billion in U.S. taxes to eliminate global poverty — a move some unhappy conservative RNC members labelled a step toward socialism. Don’t blame them for a second.

I think this is a very wrong thing to do – why should €30 billion of US taxpayers money go on one of Bono’s bone-head ideas? Is this socialism-through-the-back door designed to appeal to the Republican base? Are there Republican voters out there who  actually support this sort of stupidity? The BEST way to "reduce" global poverty – you can’t eliminate it – is to stop funding the many tyrannies that this €30 billion will inevitably bolster, and then Bono will come back looking more of YOUR money!
