Somethings you just have to love

What a week.  I thought after the bombshell developments about Senator Johnson about Hunter Biden’s overt corruption in the Ukraine would have been the headline of the week, but this I think even beats what’s happening.  The Clinton Foundation’s investigation has now morphed into a criminal probe by John Durham.  And why is this very important – because there have obviously been growing frustration with Huber’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation and his inability to get to the bottom of what exactly was going on.

It’s the same case with Horowitz’s investigation into the FBI.  There were many questions that still remained after Horowitz.  And the reason they remain, just like they remained after Huber’s, and why this is so important this has morphed into Durham’s investigation is because Durham’s investigation is a criminal probe.

That means that Durham can force testimony.  He can issue subpoenas.  He can issue grand juries, to get to the bottom of exactly what these allegations about pay-to-play are all about and whether the ex-Secretary of State was involved or not.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents tasked by fired former Director James Comey to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election were so concerned about the agency’s potentially illegal behavior that they purchased liability insurance to protect themselves less than two weeks before Trump was inaugurated president, previously hidden FBI text messages show. The explosive new communications and internal FBI notes were disclosed in federal court filings today from Sidney Powell, the attorney who heads Michael Flynn’s legal defense team.

“[W]e all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” one agent texted on Jan. 10, 2017, the same day CNN leaked details that then-President-elect Trump had been briefed by Comey about the bogus Christopher Steele dossier. That briefing of Trump was used as a pretext to legitimize the debunked dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign and compiled by a foreign intelligence officer who was working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch.

“Holy crap,” an agent responded. “All the analysts too?”

“Yep,” the first agent said. “All the folks at the Agency as well.”

“[C]an I ask who are the most likely litigators?” an agent responded. “[A]s far as potentially suing y’all[?]”

“[H]aha, who knows….I think [t]he concern when we got it was that there was a big leak at DOJ and the NYT among others was going to do a piece,” the first agent said.

Former CIA Director John Brennan personally edited a crucial section of the intelligence report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and assigned a political ally to take a lead role in writing it after career analysts disputed Brennan’s take that Russian leader Vladimir Putin intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump clinch the White House, according to two senior U.S. intelligence officials who have seen classified materials detailing Brennan’s role in drafting the document.

The explosive conclusion Brennan inserted into the report was used to help justify continuing the Trump-Russia “collusion” investigation, which had been launched by the FBI in 2016. It was picked up after the election by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who in the end found no proof that Trump or his campaign conspired with Moscow.

The Obama administration publicly released a declassified version of the report — known as the “Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent Elections (ICA)” — just two weeks before Trump took office, casting a cloud of suspicion over his presidency. Democrats and national media have cited the report to suggest Russia influenced the 2016 outcome and warn that Putin is likely meddling again to reelect Trump.

The ICA is a key focus of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s ongoing investigation into the origins of the “collusion” probe. He wants to know if the intelligence findings were juiced for political purposes.

The following are 2 breakdowns of the events that night. One by Tucker, one put together by his defense team.

I put this up so that all those debating this case have ALL the information, and ALL the film of the incident.

Personally I think the kid is a fool. If you leave your house armed with a Rifle to attend a riot you are either going to wind up shooting someone or getting shot yourself. If you are not a rioter or a cop you don’t belong on the street. Stay IN YOUR HOME and protect your own family. That is your duty.

The Justice Department on Monday identified New York City, Portland and Seattle as jurisdictions that have allowed violence and destruction of property to persist without taking “reasonable measures” to stop criminal activity.

In early September, President Trump issued a memorandum calling into question the continued funding of state and local governments that are permitting “anarchy, violence, and destruction in American cities.”

Following the May 25 death of George Floyd while in the custody of Minneapolis police, the nation saw a summer of intense and widespread protests primarily centering on racial justice and police brutality in America. In some large American cities, those peaceful protests quickly devolved into nights of violent clashes with police officers, and rampant looting of popular shopping centers as well as smaller independently owned businesses. In some cities, the clashes and crime sprees have led to fatal shootings and arson.

In its statement, the Justice Department identified New York City’s shooting rate, which increased 166% from August of 2019 to the same month this year, in addition to the city council’s decision to slash $1 billion from the NYPD’s 2021 budget, and Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s continued rejection of support from federal law enforcement.

Portland, Oregon, according to DOJ, has had 100 consecutive nights of violent and destructive protests, a 140% jump in its shooting rate from summer 2019 to 2020, and is under the control of Mayor Ted Wheeler who has refused the administration’s continued offers to send in federal law enforcement to quell the violence.

Finally, earlier this summer, officials in Seattle “permitted anarchists and activists to seize six square blocks of the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, naming their new enclave the ‘Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone’ (CHAZ) and then the ‘Capitol Hill Occupied Protest’ (CHOP).”

Law enforcement and fire fighters were not allowed inside the autonomous zone and the Seattle Police Department was told to evacuate its precinct that was located inside the CHOP.

These Democrat cities have played Politics with the peoples lives and welfare and deserve to lose ALL their Federal Funding .

1960: In 1960, Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter rejected Ginsburg for a clerkship position due to her gender.
2002: In 2002, Ginsburg was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
2015: In 2015, Ginsburg and Scalia, known for their shared love of opera, were fictionalized in Scalia/Ginsburg, an opera by Derrick Wang.
2016: During three separate interviews that were conducted in July 2016, Ginsburg criticized presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, telling The New York Times and the Associated Press that she did not want to think about the possibility of a Trump presidency.
2018: Another film, On the Basis of Sex, focusing on Ginsburg’s career struggles fighting for equal rights, was released later in 2018; its screenplay was named to the Black List of best unproduced screenplays of 2014.
2020: By January 2020, Ginsburg was cancer-free.

Except she wasn’t.

I disagreed with the majority of Justice Ginsberg rulings. She was not a Constitutionalist she was Political. Her decisions were based on her feelings about the issue not on whether or not the case she was ruling on met Constitutional Standards.

The job of every Supreme Court Justice is to REVIEW Laws and Case Rulings against the Constitution, nothing else. Ginsberg did not do this, she was going to “Fix Things” as she once said.

As a Woman and as a Person she is an example that everyone should follow. She broke barriers and excelled at everything she set her mind to letting nothing deter her even decades of fighting Cancer. She is and should be an icon of Pride and Commitment.

Now the battle to replace her begins. She will not be replaced before the Election, but her death will greatly influence it. Trump has a List of who would replace her, so far Biden has refused to provide a list of Judges of who he would choose.

Who this argument will benefit when it comes to the election is a toss up. Will it inspire Democrats to come out or will it cause Republicans to come out ?

Either way 45 days before a Presidential election the passing of THE Liberal Anchor on the Court adds gas for the fire on both sides.

R.I.P. Ruth, and thank you for your service. Godspeed.

My Road to Damascus

Guest Post by Charles

It was a soft Irish day that morning in Dublin. The day held promise as we made our way to Connolly Station where the Missus and I would board the train north to Belfast by way of Drogheda. I expected a meetup with new friends, a few pints, a bit o’craic, and a tour of the city.  I got all that, but also got an entirely new way of thinking about the situation in Northern Ireland. I entered Belfast an American Republican and left the next day an ”Irish” Republican.

What does Irish Republicanism mean to me?  First and foremost, it means a United Ireland.  The form that this takes is up to the Irish people.  (However, after speaking to people all over Dublin, I have my doubts as to interest in the south over unification. Dubliners seem to be quite ignorant about the North.)  Secondly, my republicanism requires that ALL Irishmen are allowed to live in freedom, dignity, and equality.  Thirdly, my republicanism does not automatically enroll me in any proscribed organization, but recognizes the right of self defense. Let me be clear. I am non-sectarian.

Let me stop here and ask my Irish Republican friends if I’m on the right track, or am I talking through my arse?

I think my road to Damascus was the Falls Road. Our own Seimi is quite the tour guide!  Sitting in the car looking at the Bobby Sands Mural, thinking that this man starved himself to death for his cause and country. Or listening to Seimi’s own family’s story, which I will leave between us two, which inspired me so deeply.  After two days in Belfast, my political transformation was complete. I am so proud that my great grand father Patrick Murray was a Catholic from Northern Ireland and that I was there to represent to the family.

A newly declassified ruling from a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court in June demonstrates that the government lied about its legal basis for spying on former Trump campaign official Carter Page.

The ruling states that the information produced by the FBI’s unlawful investigation into Page was illegally obtained and that it “found violations of the government’s duty of candor in all four applications.” The ruling also orders the government that “it must temporarily retain, and potentially use and disclose, the information collected, largely in the context of ongoing or anticipated litigation.”

Cozying up to the Russians

KYIV – Ukraine and the United States launched joint military exercises on Thursday, two days after Russia began joint military drills with forces in neighbouring Belarus.

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv said the U.S. Army-led Rapid Trident exercises, taking place near Yavoriv in western Ukraine, would involve about 4,000 servicemen from 10 countries.

It said the exercises show the strength of the U.S.-Ukraine strategic partnership and “commitment to enhance readiness in a challenging operational environment, which increases the strong relationships that are necessary for peace and stability.”
