a picture…better than a thousand words?

A memento of the occasion when awarded the Nation’s highest honour, from a Commander-in-Chief to the recipient?

Or was it, as the photo shows, a memory of something very, very different?

E.B.T. glitch; or theft?

By Mike Cunningham On October 14th, 2013 at 2:08 pm

I am often reminded of the old quotation from Dickens’ David Copperfield, which reads: ‘Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pound ought and six, result misery’.

I would think that most of us, in our own lives and circumstances, have known hard times and maybe a small amount of the ‘misery’ which Charles Dickens wrote of so memorably in his novel. It is part of human nature that we strive to overcome obstacles, to ‘better’ ourselves, and in doing so to give our families a better chance themselves at grasping and achieving their own versions of the ‘Good Life’.

But what of those who, for whatever reason, don’t have that same ‘striving’ within their DNA. Should we, who have been through the tempering fire and emerged stronger, perhaps ‘understand’ their plight, and maybe even forgive their ‘understandable frustrations’ at not having everything which they desire immediately; or even at all? Should we ‘understand’ actions and events such as these? (play the video, to gain a full idea of the ‘activity’)

I think not, but there again I write as an individual.

Where is the outrage?

Just recently during the “shutdown” the Obama Regime erected barriers around all the monuments on the National Mall to prevent people from viewing the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, and the WWII Memorial. They have even threatened to arrest 85-95yr old WWII veterens for moving the barriers so that they could pay their respects to their fallen comrades before they themselves pass on.

So as Obama threatens to lock up men that went through hell to guarantee not only the safety of America, but that of the rest of the world as well fighting the Germans and the Japanese what do you think they are promoting today?

Today the Administration is sponsoring an Amnesty Rally on the National Mall. Yesterday stages were built, and today thousands of ILLEGAL ALIENS will fill the Mall demanding citizenship after breaking into our house.

A planned immigration reform rally will take place on the National Mall on Tuesday even though the site is closed due to the government shutdown.

Organizers for the “Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform” were spotted Monday setting up a stage and equipment on the National Mall for the rally which will take place on Tuesday.

A few scattered barriers around the park have signs informing visitors that the area is closed as a result of the government shutdown.

Susana Flores, a spokesperson for the rally, confirmed for the Washington Examiner that the Park Service will allow the event to take place under the group’s rights granted by the First Amendment.

About 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J.

The event is hosted by several immigration activist groups, together with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO.

Those that fought and bled for us we are going to lock up, but thieves, and trespassers are given the Red Carpet.

I hate the Press

When is someone going to frame an honest question or make an honest statement?

If you have been listening to the news out of the US (as if it could be avoided) you would think that the US is less than 10 days from defaulting on it’s debt.  What a load of crap.

The US Government takes in revenues of 3 times the amount to service our debt. That is to pay our creditors, pay our military, pay the current level of Social Security, and to fund the cost of daily operations payroll and utilities.  The problem is that our Politicians then spend 6 times that amount on “other things”.

By law the Government must pay our creditors first, so when is a Reporter going to ask a question that is not framed within this lie of default? Answer never.  There are no reporters, there are only “Journalists” people that fill the print and airways with as little fact as possible surrounded by spin and color.

The question they should be asking is “When is the Government going to cut spending, instead of just upping the Limit on it’s credit card” I am sure that when that question is asked by the press, that will be the day the planet is struck by a planet killer meteor.

Who said the Yanks don’t have a sense of humour?

Just some thoughts

My 12yr old e-machine died along with my daughters laptop, borrowing Mums at the moment.

murdererMr. President, if you had a son he could’ve looked just like this guy as well as Trayvon. In the honor of the man who could be the son you never had I dedicate this song. That’s all I have to say about that situation.

The President today also qualified himself as a viable target for a drone attack. It is not just policy, but United States Law that if you supply arms to known Terrorists in the eyes of our Military and Law you are to be viewed as a Terrorist yourself, and are subject to military action and prosecution. Now of course he granted himself a waiver to that law he announced it today. In doing so he admits the people he is now openly supplying arms to in Syria are known Terrorists that have declared the United States as their enemy. He’s going to supply them arms anyway. My only question is what do you call somebody who aids and abets the Enemy ?

Today however is a very important day. It is Constitution Day. On this day 226 years ago the Constitutional Conference ended and the document was sent to the Thirteen Colonies to be discussed, debated, and judged by the PEOPLE for ratification. To think it actually lasted 220yrs before we lost it.

Well as I said I am on a borrowed keyboard, and just wanted to share a couple of passing tidbits.

If you build it…..We can always knock it down!

When Obamses the First Black Pharoah sent the surge of about 20,000 Marines and 30,000-odd soldiers  into Helmand Province, the military planners took one look at the Marines’ Command Headquarters, and decided that the Leathernecks needed something a bit more like solid American construction, instead of the plywood walled offices occupied by Major-General Mills. The General stated that he was quite happy with his little encampment the way it was, but no-one back home took any notice of this Marine.

Amec, a British Company, got the contract, and built it solidly, and built it well.

So as the Marines count-down past 7,000, and the total American contingent withdrawal continues apace, the 400-odd Headquarters staff find they have a brand-new $34 million-dilemma, in that not only will there be no-one to sit and issue battle commands in this computerised palace, no-one wants it anyway.

It was not until this spring that U.S. generals in Kabul decided to call a halt to the project. The decision was made before additional millions were spent on computer gear for the building but not soon enough to cancel crates of furniture.

“It’s terribly embarrassing,” the two-star Army general said.

The Pentagon, Sopko wrote to Hagel, needs to determine “all of the facts on how we reached this $34 million dilemma and what can be done to prevent it from happening again.”

WalMart decided to expand into Washington D.C. with three stores actually building, and three more underway. This expansion had been negotiated by many Council operatives, as well as others, who wished to get a major employer into the D.C. zone, no doubt well aware that voters will remember the guys who pulled a reluctant giant into their neighbourhood.

But the same Council has now, by proposing and publishing a Super-Minimum-Wage-Proposal which would mandate any retailer who operates above a $1 billion-turnover from premises greater than 75,000 sq. feet to pay a minimum wage of $12.50-per-hour, an increase  of some 50% above the Washington DC legal minimum wage.

So the very much non-unionised WalMart has told the Council, politely but firmly, that if this legislation is passed, WalMart will immediately cease any further negotiations on the three proposed stores, and think very, very hard about actually operating the three major builds underway right now.

The question is, does any  operation have the moral right to state that, if the game’s rules are changed after play starts, they will pack up and leave, as it is, after all, their ball?

and the reply was….

In the area of possible and credible controls on guns, gun owners, sizes of magazines, etc.; along with all the other issues raised by this truly delicate subject, one man and his very well-funded organization has become a true stumbling block to any progress at all. The man is of course Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire mayor of New York, and his organization is ‘Mayors against illegal guns’.

I have my own view on ‘gun control’ as well as the Second Amendment, and I accept that there are probably as many views as there are Americans. But I have a small question for Mayor Bloomberg, and it is this:-

“If you wish to disarm all Americans, or even only just a few, will you start by confirming that none of your bodyguards and security men will be armed from the day that you succeed in passing any of your authoritarian ideas into law?”
