I rest my case

By Patrick Van Roy On September 14th, 2019 at 3:05 pm

The man is a total idiot that has no prayer of being elected. That is not the point, the point of course is that Beto is not an outlier on this issue among his Presidential Hopeful Political Peers.  He’s the only one dumb enough to say it national TV.

Little Commie Liar

By Patrick Van Roy On February 10th, 2019 at 2:41 pm

On Feb. 5, the congressional office of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a new blog entry under “energy issues” detailing her “Green New Deal” proposal and answering “frequently asked questions.”

The page, announcing an 8:30 a.m. launch on Feb. 7, is now gone, and a top adviser suggested Friday it was actually authored and distributed by the GOP.

So the crazy commie puts out a manifesto that I think she plagiarized from a kook that used to live in a cabin and blow things up…..  AOCs manifesto was praised and lauded by Democrats and Environmentalists alike. A good portion of the rest of the country peed themselves laughing.

FAQ
Why 100% clean and renewable and not just 100% renewable? Are you
saying we won’t transition off fossil fuels?
Yes, we are calling for a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases.
Anyone who has read the resolution sees that we spell this out through a plan that
calls for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from every sector of the economy.
Simply banning fossil fuels immediately won’t build the new economy to replace it –
this is the plan to build that new economy and spells out how to do it technically. We
do this through a huge mobilization to create the renewable energy economy as fast
as possible. We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years
because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and
airplanes that fast, but we think we can ramp up renewable manufacturing and
power production, retrofit every building in America, build the smart grid, overhaul
transportation and agriculture, plant lots of trees and restore our ecosystem to get
to net-zero.

So now Sunday the 10th 3 days later this is the tale….  According to AOC and her people the version SHE put out on the 7th is a GOP conspiracy. The GOP put a fake proposal out from her office from her website to undermine her credibility….

You can’t make this stuff up. I don’t know what’s sadder that this woman is in office or that New Yorkers consistently vote commies and crazies into office…. well they are representatives of “the people”.

The proposal was ridiculed immediately. It’s main proposal was the complete elimination of fossil fuels within 12 years. That to her was the easy part as she says above it won’t be easy to eliminate all greenhouse gas emission that fast, as she states here:  We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast, I am sure politicians will still be able to fly but those farting cows well they’ve just got to go.

God save the Republic.

Her original proposal disappeared from her site, but I copied it first, it’s right here.

and this is how ‘not’ to communicate!

By Mike Cunningham On March 25th, 2013 at 9:38 am

Florida Atlantic University’s Intercultural Communications manual states:-

“This exercise is a bit sensitive, but really drives home the point that even though symbols are arbitrary, they take on very strong and emotional meanings. Have the students write the name JESUS in big letters on a piece of paper. Ask the students to stand up and put the paper on the floor in front of them with the name facing up. Ask the students to think about it for a moment. After a brief period of silence, instruct them to step on the paper. Most will hesitate. Ask why they can’t step on the paper. Discuss the importance of symbols in culture.”

So this teacher, otherwise known as ‘some useless piece of crap’ tells the class to stand on ‘JESUS’, but when Ryan Rotella, a Mormon who takes his faith seriously, objected, he was summarily suspended.

I normally wouldn’t comment upon the lack of sensitivity displayed by people from whatever political viewpoint, as it is just about ‘par for the course’; but just consider what would have happened if the material placed upon the ground had been, for example, the ‘Stars and Stripes’, or even more sensitively, a passage from the Koran?

smile, please.

ROSEANNE FOR PRESIDENT?

By ATWadmin On January 30th, 2009 at 8:56 am

I see that renowned political scientist and erstwhile comedienne Roseanne Bar has come up with a solution for the Middle East…

“I am going to move to israel and run for president there and win. When I am elected, I will make peace for my people and help to turn Israel into the socialist paradise that German and Russian Jews meant for it to be. I would first pay all the palestinians really well and give them self determination. I would beg America to broker a peace deal between we israelis and all our neighbors. I would ask the UN nations to send alot of it’s chinese soldiers to patrol the streets of all cities in the region as peacekeepers. I would invite the pope and all christian doctines as well as mormonism to invest in jerusalem to make it a center of peaceful technologies. I would make Jerusalem the INTERNATIONAL CITY OF BROTHERHOOD AND PEACE exactly as my people’s holy books instruct them to do. I would ask Hashem to be in control and not me..”

Anyone remember back when she was funny?

Game Over

By ATWadmin On October 13th, 2008 at 10:21 pm

Republicans, admit it – the game is up, resistance is futile, your words have been deflected, your ideology is in shreds, you have been found out and defeated by your foes.

All that remains is for the enemy to dispatch the wounded and claim your women.

Now It’s GI Barack

By ATWadmin On September 7th, 2008 at 10:11 pm

DESPITE failing to mention it in either of his two autobiographies, Barack Obama has remembered that he once considered enlisting in the US military.

You know, I actually did. I had to sign up for Selective Service when I graduated from high school. And I was growing up in Hawaii. And I have friends whose parents were in the military. There are a lot of Army, military bases there.

And I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honourable option. But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren’t engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it’s not an option that I ever decided to pursue.

Well fair play to you B. Hussein old son. It’s not your fault the US wasn’t engaged in any active military conflict at the time. If it were, no doubt you’d have been off to the recruiting office demanding to do your bit for Old Glory. Some scurrilous buggers will put it about that you’re making it up, but the rest of us believe you.

WHY JOHN McCAIN MUST WIN IN NOVEMBER…

By ATWadmin On May 30th, 2008 at 10:25 pm

As you know, I have little fondness for John McCain since I consider him a RINO and one that needs put out to pasture. However, I now see a good reason to support him. Susan Sarandon says that if John McCain gets elected, she will move to Italy or Canada. She adds, "It’s a critical time, but I have faith in the American people."  I agree and I hope they vote McCain in so that the US loss can be Canada or Italy’s gain. Bye Susan – missing ya already.

Hillary Sticks Her Beak In

I’ll pander to anyone!

Well, that didn’t take long.

Maybe Janet Reno and her crack team of super-sleuths are available.

Democrat Hillary Clinton called on Friday for an international probe of Benazir Bhutto’s killing and candidates in both parties sparred over foreign policy six days before Iowa kicks off a close presidential nominating race.

Clinton, battling rivals Barack Obama and John Edwards for the lead in Iowa, questioned the reliability of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf’s government after opposition leader Bhutto’s assassination.

"I don’t think the Pakistani government at this time under President Musharraf has any credibility at all," Clinton said in an interview with CNN as she campaigned across Iowa. "Therefore I am calling for a full independent international investigation."

Considering Obama threatened to invade Pakistan a couple of months ago, calling for an investigation may be a no-lose proposition.

But seriously, Pantsuit, everyone wants to know what happened.

It’s not as if you’re going out on a limb here.

And tell us, how exactly would this independent international investigation take place and under whose jurisdiction?

Bhutto’s killing on Thursday prompted candidates to flex their foreign policy muscles and, in the case of Clinton and Edwards, tout their experience. Several other Democrats leveled harsh criticism at Musharraf.

Muscles?

Huh?

I suffered through a couple of Democrat debates and cannot honestly recall Pervez Musharraf’s name ever coming up.

Now we’re supposed to take these Democrats seriously when it comes to foreign policy and the dire situation in Pakistan and the region?

Please.

At least one sober adult weighed in.

Republican Fred Thompson, a former Tennessee senator who is lagging in Iowa polls and trying to make up ground, warned against rushing to a conclusion on Musharraf and said candidates should be more "deliberate" on Pakistan.

"I don’t think it would be a good idea to call for him to step down now," Thompson told CNN. "I hope that we as candidates out here don’t start lobbing these ideas that get plenty of attention but are not very sound."

At this point when we have several different accounts of what happened Thursday in Pakistan, it’s wholly irresponsible for presidential candidates to start sticking their noses into an investigation.

It’s to be assumed the White House and State Department are fully informed of developments. Should they choose to brief top candidates, it’s their choice.

At this time, however, Mrs. Clinton and the rest of the shameless Democrats ought to step back and stop being so reckless with our foreign policy.

After all, she and her husband’s first and foremost priority is to "repair our image" with the rest of the world, no? How exactly will that be accomplished by making reckless statements and proposing absurd ideas as a full independent international investigation?

I’ll assume some reporter might flesh this out, but word is she’s not taking any questions.
