Adams admitted the IRA’s kangaroo courts for sex offenders meant they were ‘ill-equipped’ to deal with the issue.

He wrote on his blog: ‘This included very sensitive areas such as responding to demands to take action against rapists and child abusers. The IRA on occasion shot alleged sex offenders or expelled them,’ he said.

‘While this may have been expedient at the time it was not appropriate.

‘Victims were left without the necessary social service support and abusers without supervision. It ultimately failed victims and the community alike. That is a matter of profound regret for me, and many other republicans’.

Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are!

Compromise? They don’t know how to spell it, never mind what it means.

By Mike Cunningham On May 16th, 2014 at 9:59 am

Listening on the Beeb’s Today Programme to what must be considered a true favourite of the BBC’s way of group-think. The woman being interviewed had a son who had been kidnapped by the Nigerian Boko Haram bunch of criminal terrorists, and he had been killed during a rescue attempt. The woman was being interviewed as she had personal knowledge of these muslim killers, but she was saying that the Nigerian government should ‘open a dialogue’ with these fanatics, they should explore ‘areas of compromise’; and if necessary her son’s killers should be released as part of a deal with the Boko Haram bunch, who hold nearly three hundred girls from a school in Northern Nigeria.

When I state ‘true favourite of the BBC’s way of group-think’, I believe that this is what has been a total ‘belief’ tenet of the Corporation for decades. We must, in the eyes of the BBC, always compromise, always defer to others, never ever stand on principle, never ever argue or stand up for what we, as a nation, used to believe in or argue from a moral standpoint.

The woman whose son was murdered by these muslim killers is, of course, tragically mistaken in hoping for dialogue or compromise with any group who operates under the shadow of terror, or the bullet. The Nigerian government must, in my own view, organise and operate a policy of ‘search and destroy’ against the shadowy terrorists who seem to operate with impunity in the north of that burdened and corrupt country. They must operate as we, in Great Britain, singularly failed to during our own terrorist struggle; they should operate on a ‘shoot to kill’ policy, they should operate on the fact that ‘the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist’ with no bargains, no cushy prisons, no cosy deals, and they should never, ever, offer a place in Government if the terrorists would only promise to ‘disarm and place their weaponry beyond use’; mainly because we all know how weasel promises like that end up!

the best-laid plans……gang aft a-gley!

It all started with the best possible motives, which was to set in hard memory the vaunted deeds and so-called ‘sacrifices’ of the sacred volunteers of the Irish Republican Army. Other people, with a more settled view of events, would call these ‘sacred volunteers’ by another set of names and adjectives, with ‘murderous psychopaths’ being one of the more printable versions, but perhaps back to the news.

The John J. Burns Library of Rare Books and Special Collections at Boston College was to be the repository for the murderous memories of this bunch of killers, the preliminary meetings, between an American librarian, a journalist and an ex-IRA killer who had served seventeen years for the killing of a Protestant ‘volunteer’ was arranged, and this meeting was to serve as the start point for an ambitious project to record, for ‘history’, for future researchers who foraged after their version of the ‘Truth about the Troubles’. These three starry-eyed idiots, full of beer, patriotism and promises, forgot one teensy-weeny tiny detail. When they promised the killers anonymity, when they promised that no-one would see or hear the recordings until after the death of the person whose words were recorded; when they told the likes of the stone-cold killer Dolours Price that she would be remembered as a heroine of the ‘Freedom fighters’; they hadn’t put any of their ‘contracts’, their silly, stupid legally-binding promises before a trained American lawyer!

And that is why we are hearing of the arrests in Northern Ireland, of the detention of the leader of the gang of killers who snatched a widowed mother of ten from her living room, tortured her and then shot her in the back of the head before burial in an unmarked grave. He may well escape true justice, but there are many voices to be listened to, and the PSNI, in an attempt to maybe get ahead of the ridicule, have even bought new headphones!

Yes; they have not gone away: Y’know!

Listening to an interview with the son of Jean McConville, murdered by the IRA butchers some fifty-odd years ago.

When asked why he had never spoken the names of the murderous clowns who had dragged his mnother out of their home, he replied:-

“I have a young family, they would be targeted by the same men who killed my mother”

I tend to agree with David’s viewpoint that, all things considered; that’s a very strange ‘Peace’ you have over there!

Shurely shome mistake; I was never even in the country, never mind in charge!

and the ‘Process’ rolls merrily onwards!

By Mike Cunningham On April 13th, 2014 at 7:57 pm

Not too many journalists’ work makes me pause, and recognise that amongst the millions of words pumped out about the so-called ‘Peace Process’, with all the blind eyes and deaf ears turned away from the truth which just plain refuses to just shut up and go away, there sometimes appears an article, a commentary which rings true; and so from Jenny McCartney:-

A 43-year-old man called Seamus Daly was charged last week in connection with the 1998 Omagh bomb, the worst single republican terrorist atrocity in Northern Ireland’s history. A massive car bomb exploded in the central shopping area of the town on a busy Saturday afternoon: bungled, inaccurate warnings from those responsible meant that civilians were placed at maximum risk. In the explosion, 29 people died, including children, teenagers and one woman who was heavily pregnant with twins.
The attack was carried out by the “Real” IRA, a dissident group in opposition to the strategy pursued at the time by the Provisional IRA. For years, the prosecution went nowhere. Finally, the families of the victims succeeded in 2009 with a landmark civil prosecution against four men linked to the Real IRA, who were ordered to pay compensation of £1.6 million. One of them was Daly, who still denies involvement. Read the rest of this entry »

No, she should not have gone!

By Mike Cunningham On April 9th, 2014 at 9:39 am

Strangely enough, I do not believe that Maria Miller should have resigned. Most of the hue and cry which has pursued this lying, thieving and mendacious woman is based upon two inaccuracies.

The first is the simple fact that her thieving and lying behaviour was based upon rules of behaviour which have been replaced by much sterner equivalents. What she did was no more and no less than some 400 other MPs did before the eruption following the Telegraph’s expenses campaign. Where this thieving bitch went wrong was attempting to browbeat the Parliamentary Commissioner into either dropping or altering the terms of her investigation; and also attempting to place a block on the Telegraph reporter’s legitimate investigation by getting her advisor to quote Miller’s position as a Minister responsible for Press Regulation, to harass or bully the newspaper into dropping the investigation.

The second inaccuracy is of course that Miller was just doing her job by piloting through Parliament the disgusting and disgraceful Cameron-inspired Homosexual Marriage Act’s debasement of Marriage, and also controlling and pushing for the Leveson Royal Charter against Press Freedom; which pales into insignificance beside the fact that this Government, and the Labour bunch before it has given into Terrorism’s demands so that our own Queen Elizabeth was forced to accept into her presence one of the main leaders of SinnFeinIRA when Martin McGuiness sat down as a guest at Windsor Castle. A man who undoubtedly knew of the planned terror murder of her own dear Uncle, and the murder of well over two thousand other British subjects. So if he and his ilk can sit at Stormont and eat their fill at Windsor with Her Majesty, why should Miller have been eventually forced to fall on her sword to protect the Prime Minister, who was about to receive an almighty shellacking during Questions to the Prime Minister early this afternoon.

Update………..

Just noticed this photo in the Mail, and ATW readers are invited to provise the caption for Martin’s Moment!

….and the murdering bastard simply walked free from the court!

so how’s that reconciliation goin’ then; fella?

From a DVATW tweet:-

As he arrived the crowd hurled abuse and threw missiles at him before he was bundled in through a back door.

A heavy police presence held the crowd back before more reinforcements arrived on the scene.

The windows of two police vehicles were smashed during the violence and four officers sustained minor injuries.

At one stage a recycling bin was set alight by the mob and pushed into the middle of the Newtownards Road, blocking traffic.

The ultimate insult! The ritual burning of a recycling bin!

As Joseph Conrad wrote many years ago; ‘The horror; the horror!’

Forgive? You must be joking!

By Mike Cunningham On January 4th, 2014 at 10:11 am

I listened yesterday to the widow of Alan Greaves, murdered in a truly random act of savagery just a year ago, as she told how she had forgiven the killers of her husband, as it was the Christian thing to do.

This morning, I heard two more confessions surrounding the idea of ‘forgiveness’, one woman was the mother of a daughter murdered in the July bombings in London, ands the other was the daughter of one of the Brighton bomb atrocity’s victims. One stated that she could forgive her daughter’s killer, the other stated that whilst she had not forgiven the bomber, she had actually become friends with the man who had casually slaughtered her father. This was all told, and of course received by the presenter, as just the way things should be; lions lying down with lambs etc., and all the rest of the total tosh spewed by the fraternity which populates the BBC studios, and certain parts of our political structure.

If I was ever placed in a situation where someone close to me had been the victim of a murderous attack, politically inspired or not, I would be striving to have the privilege of tearing the very heart out of the killer’s body. I would also attempt to cremate his sorry remains and scatter them to the wind, burn his home and possessions; and obliterate his very memory.

But hey, thats just me! Christian values? There wasn’t much Christianity around when Patrick Magee planted his long-delay bomb, nor when those murderous ‘British’ killers got on the train heading towards London; nor when those two men chose Alan Greaves as a target a year ago. Hang them all, and then burn their remains; and leave nothing for the followers to admire or remember!
