Here’s reality;
Fourteen headless bodies were found stuffed inside a van and nine more hanging from a bridge in a brutal day of gang violence in the Mexican border city of Nuevo Laredo. The heads from the decapitated bodies were found in ice boxes outside the city hall, according to local security forces, only a mile from the American border. Horrified motorists earlier encountered the blood-stained bodies of four women and five men hanging off a bridge, alongside an apparent message from a drug gang.
So, the logic goes that all we need to do is legalise illegal drugs and all this slaughter will stop. Right? Wrong. Mexico seems to be a real hell on Earth, with a breakdown of the rule of law, and in fact with an endemic corruption of the rule of law. I suspect the best thing the US can do is really enforce that border, deport as many illegals as possible, and stop Mexico acting as a de facto drug feed to the USA. The porous border and the insatiable demand for more drugs are two drivers of all this positioning within the Mexican drug cartels. Seal the border and prosecute the drug dealers within the US – the solutions are obvious but need a President that can see them.

“Out in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl…”
In El Paso, Texas, out-of-control violence from the Mexico bleeds across the Southern border into America.
Several stray gunshots fired from Juárez hit El Paso City Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, President Obama effectively ignores actual border enforcement and, pandering to potential Hispanic voters, chooses instead to give a lecture on amnesty.*
* Please note, the euphemistic catch-phrase for amnesty is “comprehensive immigration reform.”

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is disappointed with the Obama Administration’s lack of support controlling Arizona’s open Southern border. The Administration shows little interest in protecting the border and Governor Brewer was especially displeased with recent news that the White House would appropriate only $135 million for National Guard deployments in the US, while inexplicably giving $310 million directly to Mexico for their “anti-crime” efforts. The US might as well stick the $310 million into a shredder.
Mexican corruption and lawlessness bleed into the US through the open Southern border and lackadaisical efforts in Washington DC to control illegal immigration are a threat to America’s safety.
If you are not familiar with the crime wave in Mexico which is now careening out of control, here is a tidbit to inform you:
“The frontrunner for Governor in a Mexican border state was brutally assassinated by a ruthless drug cartel. In an attempt to control the election outcome, gunmen ambushed Rodolfo Torre’s branded vehicle en route to Ciudad Victoria airport and executed Rodolfo and four other members of his entourage.”
