Did you read that dhimmified waffle from one of Gordon Brown’s most trusted associates, Ed Balls?

Here is his plan (and one can therefore safely asssume Brown’s plan) for how we must deal with militant Islam.

"In the same way you can’t fight against Islamic extremism simply by security. We have got to win the battle of hearts and minds and persuade people in communities in Britain and around the world that values of fairness, stability and opportunity and turning away from extremism is the way to go."

BOOM! Next time the Jihadists detonate and more innocent lives are lost, just think; it must be OUR fault because we haven’t won enough Muslim Hearts and Minds!

Islam has figured out the sickening inability of our political elite to even ADMIT that a significant section  of unassimilated Islam is at war with us. They want to kill us, as the events of 7/7 in London demonstrated. We want to "understand" them.

Here we witness a close adviser to the next UK PM denying the obvious – namely the failure of ISLAM to exist peacefully in a democratic society – and instead attributing blame to our own values. Balls is living up to his name by talking it.

condemned and guilt.jpgI see that two of Saddam Hussein’s key aides in terror have been hanged in Baghdad, two weeks after the execution of the former Iraqi dictator. Officials stressed this time there had been "no violations", but Saddam Hussein’s half-brother, Barzan al-Tikriti, was decapitated as he hung. He lost the head, so to speak.

Barzan and Awad Hamad al-Bandar, a top judge under the regime, were convicted over the killing of 148 Shias in 1982.

Congratulations to the Iraqi authorities for ignoring the self righteous clamour of the Euro elite, the MSM, and all those who tremble at the notion of JUSTICE being done. Both these thugs got their due rewards.

Pleased to see that US attack helicopters have launched fresh air strikes on Tuesday in southern Somalia, targeting the suspected command centre of Al-Qaeda militants. This raid comes a day after an AC-130 gunship hit at least two villages believed to be hideouts, killing "many" people, officials said. The attack, by at least two helicopters, "was aimed at destroying the command and control facility of the terrorists," the Defence Ministry official told AFP. "Somali troops and Ethiopian forces will go to the area."

Naturally, the MSM rush to condemn this commendable action against these cowardly Jihadists. The US is RIGHT to go after these fleeing Islamists and facilitate their early entry to paradise, or to hell.

President Bush seems poised to announce that up to 20,000 additional US troops will go to Iraq, and focus on helping Iraqi forces wipe out Sunni insurgents and Al Qu’eda killers who operate mostly in the greater Baghdad area. Good. The focus here must be on wiping these vermin out. The focus here must be on all-out onslaught against this rabble, take no prisoners,  and assert  the primacy of the lawful Iraqi Government. Saddam lies in his grave, and the rest of his followers should follow him if they continue to rebel.

Now then, on cue, the Democrats have instantly reverted to type and are indicating that they will may try to deny the military the funds required to finance this enhancement of their in-field capability.  The risible Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Democrats would “look at everything” in their power to curb the war, short of cutting money for troops already in the field. (Gosh Harry, that’s big of you) He said he would only consider an increase in U.S. forces in Iraq if Bush agreed to start withdrawing troops within six months. I heard another Democrat say that “diplomacy” was the way forward? Really – send for the Al Queda ambassador?

The Democrat Party has NO answers to the war on terror but one – retreat. Now for the liberal intelligentsia which loathes its own country, such a policy may be warmly reassuring. But for those of us who would prefer to WIN the war against militant Islam, President Bush’s strategy seems much more sensible, and a good start to the New Year.

Victory against the Jihadists SHOULD be the Republican rallying cry – meanwhile Pelosi, Clinton, Reid and the rest of the Defeaticrats can whimper run away.

galloway-respect.jpgInteresting to read that the British and American governments have named a key Al-Qaeda suspect in Britain as one of the terror group’s alleged bankers.

Mohammed al-Ghabra’s bank accounts have been frozen by the Bank of England. Al-Ghabra admitted he had “radical views” and said he was an active supporter of Respect, the anti-war party led by George Galloway, the maverick former Labour MP.

Galloway’s Party denies any knowledge of Al-Ghabra, naturally. But it strikes me that the longer RESPECT is treated as a normal political party, rather than a Jihad-friendly anti-British insurrectionist rabble, the greater the danger it will represent. Galloway is a repulsive character but the fact that he is lionised by a section of the British MSM speaks more about it – self-loathing, dhimmified and morally bankrupt, no wonder Bin Laden’s alleged banker lives amongst us!

Shaddup You Face!

Oh my!  Having had to listen to days of bleeding-heart liberalism on how appallingly bad Saddam was treated in the moments before his ‘Gregory’ was stretched to the length of a vacuum cleaner extension, useless socialist-in-waiting, Gordon Brown, has now joined the fray.  In a thinly-veiled cynical exercise to try to distance himself from the foreign policy endeavours of his arch-rival Tone, Gordy called the manner of Saddam’s execution ‘deplorable.’

David is right.  Behind much of this pathetic hand-wringing from the traditional miscreants is not merely antipathy to a few people taunting Saddam, it is an aversion to the very concept of the death penalty itself.  So how was his coup de grace somehow deplorable, Mr Brown?  Saddam was well-dressed.  He clearly had not been tortured in any way.  He was not forced to don the hood traditionally worn as a matter of compulsion by individuals who have murdered far fewer than he.  So how was this relatively benign path to eternal damnation unacceptable?  Because some loon was taunting Saddam as he had the noose around his neck.  I tell you all this.  Had one of my loved ones been killed, I would not only have demanded a ringside seat to watch the hanging, my language would have been far more colourful than the simple airing of the name of a clerical icon.

Saddam brought no mercy and no honour to those he had killed.  So why the hell should anyone in Iraq extend him the common courtesies so beloved of our lunatic Left?  The same lunatic Left who would not be reticent in denying many in the silent, law-abiding majority the same panoply of rights they doth protest for the scum of this world.

The Bells of Saint Clemency

Don’t they make you sick to the pit of your stomach?  Whilst the US maintains consistency by welcoming the impending execution of Saddam Hussein, various European governments and individual politicians have reacted with a breathtaking degree of moral pusillanimity.  Take Marco Pannella, of Italy’s Radical Party, as a prime example. He is prepared to participate in a hunger strike over the decision to despatch the former Iraqi leader.

What is it with these people?  Where were types like Pannella when Saddam and the host of other dictators and juntas around the world were killing their own people en masse?  Former Provo lickspittle, John Hume used to say that ‘an eye for an eye left everyone blind’.  That’s all eyewash.  The truth in life is that if you turn the other cheek, your enemy will slap that one as well!!

Saddam is responsible for 2.5 million deaths in Iraq.  It is right, just and proper that he should serve his penance away from this world – a world where the international community would have to pay for his incarceration, and where every day would run the risk of him being sprung from his penitentiary.  Why should others have to shoulder that burden?

It would be best if Saddam were executed within the next few days. He, and his evil regime, need consigned to history. Let it rest in peace in 2006. The longer they keep him waiting, the more the chance of mischief from the residual dregs of his terror regime. I think Iraq has suffered enough because of this man and so I hope the authorities act now. Let him dangle, to borrow a phrase.

795151-536769-thumbnail.jpgSo, Saddam is to hang within a month following the rejection of an appeal against his death sentence.

I know it is a harsh thing to welcome the imminent death of any person, no matter how evil, but Saddam dead is a better proposition than Saddam alive. I imagine the MSM will have a international day of mourning when this monster swings – but for those hundreds of thousands of families whose next-of-kin he ordered slaughtered, justice will be done and seen to be done. And THAT is the point – in this morally relativist universe, justice DOES need to be seen to be done.

That is why, for example, I would like to see mass murderers like the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, hanged. Indeed it would also be good if the terrorist godfathers who have commanded the IRA for decades, and whose indentities are well known, were also hanged by the neck. As a society, we have become soft, unable to face up to the fact that those who deliberately take life, forfeit their life. In exchange for our squeamishness, we allow far too many killers to get away with their dark deeds. Saddam will not be quite so lucky.

Yes, we all know that Islam is the religion of peace. And love. So that must be why the fundamentalists in Mogadishu’s Union of Islamic Courts have issued a global call to arms to "foreign fighters" for their campaign against Ethiopia, whose troops are in Somalia to prop up the powerless interim government based at Baidoa, north-west of the capital.

"Our country is open to Muslims worldwide," Yusuf Mohammed Siad "Inda’ade", the Courts’ defence chief, said yesterday. "Let them fight in Somalia and wage jihad, and God willing, attack Addis Ababa."

It appears that this siren call from the Islamists is having a good pick up rate and I dare say some of our very own home grown British Islamists will answer the call and make their way to the region – to kill for Allah. Across the globe, Islam is on the offensive. It’s the new totalitarianism – but seemingly more effective since it is wrapped up in the comfort blanket of alleged religion.

At least the Somalis realise they are under attack by the Islamists – most of the West still lives in denial.
