Wonder what you make of the bizarre news that the Member of  Parliament who heads the parliamentary body scrutinising Britain’s counter-terrorism laws has addressed a rally at which a plea for support for suicide bombers was broadcast?

The truly wretched Keith Vaz, the chairman of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, addressed the annual Tamil rally in the ExCel centre in East London.  He spoke after participants watched a televised address by Velupillai Prabhakaran, the commander of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a terrorist organisation banned by the Home Office. Mr Vaz, the MP for Leicester East, was joined by a fellow Labour MP, Joan Ryan.

Their presence drew an angry response from the Sri Lankan High Commission, which released a statement claiming that the event was a “clear violation of the UK terrorism laws”.

The likes of Vaz will see nothing wrong in this. It is all part of the Orwellian reality which now confronts us. This explains why goons like Vaz – tasked with ensuring the effectiveness of British anti-terrorism laws – participates in a rally which both supports and glorifies terrorism. It is the natural thing for them to do. They are the enemy within.

Afghanistan This Weekend

By ATWadmin On December 8th, 2007 at 10:11 am

Let’s keep our boys in our prayers and thoughts. As of yesterday:

British and Afghan forces have begun a potentially bloody battle to take Musa Qala as Taliban commanders promise to fight to defend the town in North Helmand to the last man. Local people told The Telegraph that thousands of British and Afghan troops began advancing on the town at around 4pm local time today in three separate columns ….. "The British are three kilometres away, they have reached the outskirts of the town," said Haji Abdul Majid Khan, a tribal elder in the town. "There was fighting earlier but it is calm for now. The Taliban are telling the people they will wait until the foreign forces enter the city and then fight them street by street."

No doubt a battalion of activist lawyers will be moving in for mopping up operations, as usual:

Criminal proceedings could be launched over allegations that British soldiers committed acts of abuse after a gun battle with insurgents in south-east Iraq, the High Court was told. Because of the potential for prosecutions, two senior judges imposed "no names" reporting restrictions in a civil legal action already being brought over the incident by Iraqi families.

I’m sure he is pushing on an open door. I refer to Osama bin Laden who has apparently  released a recorded message warning European countries to stop following America and withdraw their forces from Afghanistan.

The Al Qqueda leader also stated once again that he was responsible for presiding over the September 11 attacks. He said the US had "insisted on invading" Afghanistan even though it knew that the Afghans were not behind the attacks, and that "Europe walked behind it".

"The American tide is ebbing," he said in a message addressed to the European public. "It is better for you to restrain your politicians who are thronging the steps of the White House." He said that by following the US into Afghanistan, Europe could only be a "subordinate" to Washington.

What does he MEAN by the expression "the American tide is ebbing"? It seems to me that this is reference to Bush abandoning his own Bush doctrine  – pressurised into doing so by a vicious biased media and Democrat opponents lining up to make sure that Al Queda are treated as if they are criminals – rather than Jihad-crazy terrorists. Only a sustained military and political onslaught on All Queda will reduce the threat they pose. That requires Europe working WITH the US. But whilst the likes of Sarkozy seems up for this – Britain under Brown isn’t, and we know how dhimmi the likes of Spain, Germany and many other EU nations already are, so OBL is appealing to their worst dhimmi instincts. Europe walking a separate path from the US is what Bin Laden wants, and so does the msm.  Maybe they will get what they wish for – but the consequences will be bad.

Wonder what you make of this interesting article from Rachel North – a survivor of the Jihad attacks on the London Underground on 7/7?

In essence she does NOT support the additional security measures that UK PM Gordon Brown is planning and I think she makes her argument fairly eloquently. However in one regard she is totally wrong – in my view we DO face a threat every bit as challenging to our lives and liberty as that faced in 140 and this time the enemy are within the UK as well as being outside. Islam threatens the civilised world in the same way as Nazism threatened it in 1940. I do believe that Government has a role to play in protecting it but it refuses to acknowledge that Islam is the problem and as I have asked before; how can we win a war when we deny we are at war?

I spotted that a Muslim airport worker at Heathrow who wrote poems about beheadings is the first woman to be found guilty under new terror laws. Samina Malik, who liked to call herself a "lyrical terrorist", called for attacks on the West and described "poisoned bullets" capable of killing an entire street in her poetry. The 23-year-old Muslim wrote of her desire to become a martyr and listed her favourite videos as the "beheading ones".

Sentence has not yet been passed but given the mindset of this Jihadist-in-waiting, I think nothing short of life in prison will suffice. We are not safe when Islamists like this are at large, harbouring their Jihad fantasies, and in this particular case, working at a major UK airport. I trust the Judge will show her no clemency – she needs to put away – deportation would be even better.

terrorcamp3.jpgIt’s a bit of a shocker to read about a group of men practising military-style techniques in a New Forest terror training camp. A British Army officer told Woolwich Crown Court that the drills were similar to those of al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan. Five men all deny charges of being involved in setting up training camps. Among them is Mohammed Hamid, 50, who prosecutors say set up camps attended by the 21 July bomb plotters. The other men are Mousa Brown, Kibley da Costa, Mohammed Al-Figari and Kader Ahmed. Mmmm..there’s that name again – Mohammad and the connection seems to be with terrorism. Still, it’s the Religion of Peace AND love, right?

Did you read that millions of dollars handed over to secure the release of South Korean hostages in Afghanistan have been used to buy weapons deployed against British and American forces in the country? Major Alexis Roberts, 32, Prince William’s former platoon commander at Sandhurst, was one of the victims of the Taliban offensive funded by the hostage money. According to Taliban fighters the money has also been used to train recruits to carry out terrorist attacks in Britain and America. South Korea, of course, has repeatedly denied claims. The South Koreans aren’t the only nation to have paid up to obtain the release of hostages but the problem is that once you pay the Danegeld you never get rid of the Dane.

Isn’t it shocking to read that Taliban terrorists hanged a teenager in southern Afghanistan because he had American money in his pocket, stuffing five U.S. $1 bills into his mouth as a warning to other villagers not to use dollars? The 15-year-old boy was hanged from a tree on Sunday in Helmand, the most violent province in the country and the world’s No. 1 poppy-growing region."The Taliban warned villagers that they would face the same punishment if they were caught with dollars," said Wali Mohammad, the district police chief in Sangin. Dollars are commonly used in Afghanistan alongside the afghani, the local currency, though dollars are more commonly seen in larger cities where international organizations are found. What evil monsters the Taliban are. Yet where is the media outcry against this depravity? Where is the UN outcry? Nothing – silence, and the body of a 15 year old swinging from a tree.

Did you read that a key suspect in the alleged plot to mount a Jihadi attack in Germany on the scale of 9/11 is on the run in Britain?

Scotland Yard counterterrorism detectives are hunting the man, who escaped from Germany after a plot to explode bombs at Frankfurt airport and a US airbase. The collective power of the bombs would have exceeded those in Madrid and London in 2004 and 2005.

It’s interesting to note that the detonators to be used in alleged German plot came from Syria, and that the instruction to “go” came from Pakistan whilst the UK became the perceived safe house. The Jihadi operate globally and Syria, just like Pakistan, is part of an axis of evil. The media mock this idea even as the evidence stares them in the face. However we really need to question why it is that on-the-run Jihadi flee to Britain…..are we the softest touch of all?

I note that Britain’s former spy chief has accused the BBC of "parroting" Al Qaeda propaganda to children as young as six.

Dame Pauline Neville Jones, who is also a former BBC governor, is infuriated at the stance the corporation’s Newsround programme took on the September 11 attacks. She accused the flagship children’s news bulletin of feeding an "ugly undercurrent" which suggests the terrorist outrage was somehow justifiable. Newsround is aimed at viewers aged between six and 12.

On its website it answered the question concerning 9/11, "Why did they do it" by saying: "The way America has got involved in conflicts in regions like the Middle East has made some people very angry, including a group called al Qaeda – who are widely thought to have been behind the attacks." After the public complained, the text was amended. It now reads: "Al Qaeda is unhappy with America and other countries getting involved in places like the Middle East. "People linked to al Qaeda have used violence to make this point in the U.S.A, and in other countries."

Dame Pauline, who headed the Government’s Joint Intelligence Committee and is described as the most formidable female diplomat Britain has produced, said the new version was even worse. "It still says it’s all America’s fault, and now for daring to be involved in the Middle East at all," she said. "It wasn’t ‘people linked to’ al Qaeda who killed 3,000 people that day, it was al Qaeda itself."

She’s right. The BBC, like certain others on the Left, cannot just accept the simple truth that Al Queda want to kill us just because they hate us, they despise our freedoms and liberty. They are the enemies of civilisation BUT to say that would be judgemental and that goes against the value system of the multicultis.
