We might actually dump the thugs

By Patrick Van Roy On February 8th, 2012 at 3:05 pm

When the TSA was started 2 things were agreed upon by both the airlines and the government. That the TSA would never be Unionized and after 4 years Airlines, and Airports could opt out of the program.

Well of course the government spit on that agreement as they do with all government agreements, and the ThugsStandingAround were Unionized, and as the 4th year came up the Democrats in control of the House, The Senate, and the Presidency made it ILLEGAL for anyone to opt out.

Well a Bill this week will revers this fascist Brownshirt Bolshevik power grab, and the opt out is back in. Of course the Democrats are whining, but it has nothing of course due to them losing a huge Govt Union. No the Head of TSA has this to say:

Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole said his agency would prepare for a substantial number of U.S. airports converting to private screeners, even if he doesn’t think the move will save money.

Yeah they’re worried about saving the Taxpayer some money…LOL and Sheila Wackjob Lee said

according to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, handing off such duties to private companies could result in another 9/11 attack.

“My comment: we are looking forward to returning to 9/11,” Jackson Lee said at a House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing.

Mitt Romney is such an inspirational figure. He has inspired the GOP voters in Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado to vote for Rick Santorum, who has apparently won ALL three States! In Minnesota, Santorum won 45% of the vote, Paul came second and Romney a dismal third. Naturally the pundits who assured us that Romney would win all three have been confounded, which is quite nice. Despite the desire from the Beltway to ensure the coronation of Mitt — there seems to be a disturbance in the force.  You do have wonder about Romney – he seems to be destined to be a very pleasant loser. That is NOT what America needs.

Thus Spoke Santorum?

By Mahons On February 8th, 2012 at 2:02 am

There are three races tonight, Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota.  If Romney is going to be stopped, then it would have to be Santorum tonight.  Not that he would clean up on delegates, but he could point out that he can contest Romney or at least run with him if he sweeps.  Newt and Paul are finished, so the rightwingers, if they want a firewall, have to go with Santorum.  We shall see.

Just How Stupid are You?

By Patrick Van Roy On February 7th, 2012 at 3:13 pm

The fundamental drive and reason behind a space program has always been Nuclear Weapons Delivery.  Satellites, and Moon Landings have always just been a bi-product of the pursuit to be able to place a warhead anywhere on the planet shot from anywhere on the planet. We have benefited greatly from the bi-products of the space program, more than any other venture.

Yet the underlying venture and truth is the ability to deliver that War Head. So when people on here scoff that they are not vulnerable to an Iranian attack, I ask, Just how stupid are you?

Iran launches observation satellite
Posted: 03 February 2012 1437 hrs

TEHRAN: Iran on Friday launched an observation satellite into orbit above Earth, its third since 2009, the official IRNA news agency reported.

“The Navid satellite was launched successfully…. It will be placed into an orbit (at an altitude) between 250 and 370 kilometres,” IRNA quoted the head of Iran’s Space Organisation, Hamid Fazeli, as saying.

The 50-kilogram (110-pound) satellite is meant to stay in orbit for 18 months, sending back images to Iran as it completes a revolution of Earth every 90 minutes. It was unveiled two years ago and its launch had long been expected.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad led the launch ceremony, media said.

“It’s the beginning of an immense labour… which holds the promise of friendship for all mankind,” Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.

It was the third domestically made satellite Iran has put above the planet using its Safir rockets. The other two observation platforms, launched in February 2009 and July 2011, stayed in orbit for two to three months.

Iran’s space programme deeply unsettles Western nations, which fear it could be used to develop ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

The Navid satellite launch comes as Iran is marking the anniversary of its 1979 Islamic revolution — and as tensions are heating up over Iran’s nuclear programme.

There is increasing speculation that Israel is considering air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities — an action that could possibly spark a broader conflict drawing in the United States.

Great Athletes Are Made?

By Phantom On February 7th, 2012 at 2:20 am

What makes a great athlete? Not just a very good one, but one for the ages?

Ability, sure. It will always get you in the door. But loads of talented players don’t last too long.

Intelligence? Curiousity? Thinking ahead? Yes, yes, and yes.

Desire? Pride? Yes and yes.

And these all take you to the same place. The place of preparation and hard work. No matter what you’re working at.

I’ve always had the highest respect for the now retired football player Jerry Rice, who had a long period of sustained greatness with the San Francisco 49ers.

Ages ago, I heard of his sprints up a two and half mile ” hill ” in the San Francisco Bay area. A routine so brutal that other pro athletes often tried it, only to collapse in exhaustion, as Rice raced to the top.

Thanks to these workouts ( and equally tough routines in the gym ), Rice stayed at the top for a really long time in the most savage of sports, despite not being as fast as some of his teammates.

I was recently surprised, and delighted, to hear that, seven years after retirement, Jerry Rice is still charging up that hill.

Nobody here is gonna be a world class athlete. But you have your ” hill “, something that would bring you closer to your personal greatness, even if it was something only you and yours knew about it, if you’d only do it. Well?

Wonder what you make of this story?

Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond has been urged to apologise after using a term linked to officials in Nazi Germany to describe a BBC adviser.

The SNP leadercriticised the corporation after his planned appearance on a sport show ahead of yesterday’s Six Nations Scotland-England rugby clash was cancelled on political grounds. Mr Salmond suggested BBC journalists were “in thrall to Downing Street” and likened it to “tin-pot dictatorships”.

He also compared one of the corporation’s advisers to a Gauleiter, the term given to provincial governors in Germany under Hitler. It also means someone in authority who behaves in an overbearing manner.

I suggest there is a certain shall we say irony in Salmond using this term given the overbearing boorish and bully boy attitude of the SNP. As this instance illustrates, when the tin-pot SNP do not get what they want, out comes the venom. The BBC deserve an apology from Salmond.

I have to declare that I also use the term “Gauleiter” but only when describing Greek PM Papademos and Italian PM Mario – both imposed on these Nations through the will of Angela Merkel. In that context, I think it fits perfectly.

Dumbest Man In Command

By Patrick Van Roy On February 6th, 2012 at 12:38 am

President Barry is so out of his depth in every arena it’s ridiculous, as for the economy he believes it’s just one pie and he’s the only one that knows how it should be sliced, never mind an economy is a bakery and if done right the pies are limitless.

As for Syria the Chicoms and His Highness the Czar Putin are laughing their asses off. Why support sanctions when it’s not your problem. Not only is Syria going to hell in a hand basket not the Russian or the Chinese problem, it provides the U.S. a major one. The Middle East is strictly a U.S. and western nations nightmare, but primarily the U.S.’s.

So fuck Syria let it burn, they’re just the icing on the cake, that is Iran. You have a 19mile stretch of water with only a 2 mile wide  navigable corridor with a billion dollars worth of goods traveling through staring down Iranian artillery batteries that have those ships in point plank range for ten miles.

The mad little Persians are less than a year away from 12 warheads, and 3 years away from refining the delivery systems. That includes naval, planes, and missiles. They have moved 30% of their weapons grade uranium refining to underground fortified bunkers, several others are located in highly populated zones.

Their Navy is along with the ground base artillery capable of shutting down the straits for about two weeks worth of attacks, and depending on where and which ships got sunk how blocked they would be, and for how long.

The U.S. has 3 carrier groups in the area a campaign against Iranian assets, Naval, Air force, Fixed Batteries, Weapons development sites, Revolutionary guard command and control, and Oil production is a 6 month Air War no troops on the ground except the Special Forces targeting forces. We will lose a naval vessel or two.

By the Election it will be the U.N. and the Arab Leagues job to decide which direction it goes from there.

“I don’t think Israel has made a decision. I think they, like us, think Iran has to stand down their nuclear weapons program,” said Obama, speaking from the Blue Room of the White House. “Until they do, I think Israel is going to be very concerned, and we are as well.”

Israel is right to be concerned about Iran’s push to join the league of nations that possess nuclear weapons, but diplomacy – not military intervention – remains the “preferred solution” to averting a potential arms race in the Middle East, President Barack Obama said Sunday.

What a freaking moroon, the Iranians aren’t standing down shit, and the Jews aren’t going to wait for you to pull your head out of your ass.

“We’re not taking any options off the table,” Obama said. “Our preferred solution is diplomatic, we’re going to keep on pushing on that front … [but] I’ve been very clear that we’re going to do everything we can to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and creating an arms race, a nuclear arms race, in a volatile region.”

Sorry buddy you already screwed the pooch, you are weak, nobody trusts you, and were about to get caught in the middle of a shit storm.

2012 is a big year for the United Kingdom. We have the London Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. These will both gain global attention and so make us a great terrorist target! Guess which terror group has plans for the UK mainland this year?

“More than 100 Irish Republican terrorists are now in mainland Britain, planning to wreak havoc on the Olympics and Jubilee celebrations. A senior member of the Continuity IRA said last night:

“Nothing can be ruled out when it comes to big events like these.”

His warning comes as security sources confirmed that the threat of a Republican- led bombing campaign now exceeded that of terror acts by Islamic fundamentalists.

A senior member of the organisation last night said a cadre of activists was already well established in mainland Britain, with the capacity to cause chaos through a series of bombing campaigns. It is feared they may have learned from the tactics of Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan, and will increase the size of Improvised Explosive Devices. The Continuity IRA terrorist, who claims to have organised the UK mainland branch, said: “The British security services are perfectly right to protect against the threat of an attack because as long as they continue their policies in Ireland there will always be somebody willing to stand up and fight back.”

Time for Martin McGuinness to speak out and declare that violence does not pay, right?

The implications of Scotland voting to leave the UK has all sorts of interesting consequences. As I have stated before I do not believe that the Scots will commit national economic suicide BUT if they did, I wonder how they would feel about this?

Foreign Office experts raise fears that a fully-fledged international border would be necessary because Scotland could be required to join the ‘Schengen’ open-borders system used by 25 European states which Britain has opted out of. That would allow anyone to travel from continental Europe into  Scotland without any internal  border controls, meaning immigration and passport checks would  be needed along the English/ Scottish border. It would also mean Scotland would be ejected from the current ‘Common Travel Area’ comprising the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The report says: ‘Article 8 of the Schengen Protocol requires all new EU member states to accept the Schengen “acquis” in full.

Naturally, Salmond dismisses all this but then again his entire “Scottish Independence” agenda is anchored in the fundamental premise that you can have your Dundee Cake and eat it. You can’t.
