THE DEMISE OF LABOUR APPROACHES….

By ATWadmin On May 30th, 2009 at 12:42 pm

In one week’s time, the scale of public dissatisfaction with Labour will be clear – and it will be historic.

“The expenses scandal has had a devastating impact on Labour and Gordon Brown, a Populus poll for The Times finds today.

Labour’s overall position has slid to 21 per cent, its lowest in polling history. When asked how they would vote in next week’s European election, those polled have put Labour in third place behind UKIP and the Tories, for the first time.

All the minority parties, including the Greens and the British National Party, have made striking advances in the past three weeks as the row over MPs’ allowances has engulfed all the main parties.”

Let us trust this poll is correct and that the party of Government will come THIRD in the Europoll!

The big questions are;

1. Will Labour move to remove Gordon Brown?

2. Just how much progress will the UKIP make and is it indicative of permanent change?

3. How will the pious but still guilty as hell LibDems do?

4. The Conservatives SHOULD emerge as clear winners but how deep is the disillusionment with them folllowing the Expenses scandal.

5. Will the BNP make any sort of breakthrough?

The answers will come soon enough —-  I think we need a political revolution but the people, as ever, will decide.

Now this ain’t gonna’ hurt….

Some short while back, I posted on the problems resulting from the lack of care associated with the lack of cleanliness and disinfection of colonoscopy equipment, and the resulting possible cross-infection of up to ten thousand Veterans Affairs hospital patients; with five testing positive so far for HIV, and a further forty-three testing positive for hepatitis. Another page of ‘tick’ marks on checklist pages, instead of the equipment being properly disinfected after every procedure!

However, the VA patients, together with their relatives can breathe easy, because the Government is on their case; but I just bet the Democratic Rep. Bart Gordon, whose Tennessee district includes the VA hospital at Murfreesboro, wishes that he had not uttered the following immortal phrase  when commenting how the House subcommittee can “get to the bottom of how this unfolded and make certain it doesn’t happen again.”

American capitalism gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

There’s None So Blind…..

By ATWadmin On May 30th, 2009 at 8:12 am

A biker hurtles down the A18 mountain road between Ramsey and Douglas on the Isle of Man during last year’s TT race. The biggest annual event on the island begins next week and it is estimated that, during the ‘TT fortnight’, the island’s population nearly doubles in size.

I returned from the island yesterday. For most of the week I was there I saw preparations being made for the TT – from the makeshift spectator stands that line the route, to the cushioning of garden walls with bales of hay in order to prevent participants splattering their heads and subsequently bleeding over clusters of prized petunias. The white house you see in the picture above stands on a particularly trecherous corner on the descent into Douglas from Snaefell. It was there on Wednesday I witnessed TT organisers busily marking the road without the aid of cones, traffic lights, contraflow systems or warning signs. A subtle reminder, perhaps, that the Isle of Man is not part of the UK and has its own way of doing things. As cars and motorbikes raced to the scene, one operative simply gestured for them to slow down past the spot where his workmate was attending to his tarmac painting duties. On an island where there is no maximum speed limit (outside urban areas) this is no mean feat. The TT is the world’s longest and most famous publicly-staged motorcycle race and you get the impression the Manx authorities are not as obsessively preoccupied with heath and safety as they are here.

Take this example. A Sheriff in Scotland has called for the banning of a certain type of window blind in homes because the looping blind cords are a risk to young children. Sheriff David Mackie was responding in a written judgement into the death of Muireann McLaughlin, a two-year old girl who died at her home in Clackmannanshire after being entangled in such a blind cord in February 2008.

I have no doubt the death of their little girl was, and is, a source of unimaginable grief for the parents.  However, are we going to take heed of the advice of those who wish to wrap us up in proverbial cotton wool in order to make life as risk-free as possible?  The home is full of potential and real dangers to inquisitive young children: cleaning chemicals, electrical points, unguarded staircases, small cupboards, ovens………..the list goes on.  Are we expected to live without the aid of one or more of the above in order to maximise the possibility of a safe upbringing for the average child?  One of my roles as a team leader is health and safety training for all new workers.  My first principle is that there is no such thing as a life without risk.  I only wish others in positions of much greater authority would recognise that very palpable truism.

GREY’S ANATOMY

By ATWadmin On May 29th, 2009 at 10:19 pm

In the Vance household, there is an endless amount of US medical programmes viewed. I hate all the blood and guts – but there IS the occasional upside…! This is the rather charming Katherine Heigl from Gray’s Anatomy who brings colour to this show. Bad news is that they have her dying in the series we are watching…!

THE SCANDAL OF LEGAL AID…

By ATWadmin On May 29th, 2009 at 7:39 pm

Wonder what you make of the news that a convicted paedophile has launched a taxpayer-funded legal action costing £30,000 against police who arrested him because they feared a woman was in danger.

Robin Frampton, 53, was staying with a woman he met through a television dating service after lying to her about who he was and keeping secret his sordid past, a court heard. Police arrested him after discovering the paedophile and rapist had not signed on the sex offenders’ register and gave false details about where he was staying, in a town 250 miles from his home. He was charged and spent 110 days on remand before the case was dropped shortly before his scheduled trial on a legal technicality.

Frampton was given Legal Aid to sue the North Yorkshire Police Chief Constable and yesterday his claim for wrongful arrest, false imprisonment and malicious prosecution was heard by a judge at Leeds County Court. The case has already cost the taxpayer more than £30,000 and that figure is expected to rise.

There is something VERY WRONG in this country when convicted paedos can get themselves access to £30,000 of taxpayer money.

You can be paranoid, AND have someone watching you!

I don’t agree with evrything this bloke talks about, but in this particular case, he might, just might, be seeing the bodies hidden behind the curtain!

….BECAUSE HE’S WORTH IT?

By ATWadmin On May 29th, 2009 at 7:21 pm

I did enjoy reading this…it concerns my radio-sparring pal, DUP MP and MLA Jeffrey Donaldson…(Did you know he served in the UDR during the Troubles?)

“MPs Jeffrey Donaldson and Mark Durkan are among the latest politicians to have their second home claims examined in the Daily Telegraph. The newspaper also discloses that DUP MP Donaldson claimed £410 for curtains which were purchased in Northern Ireland.

Mr Donaldson, who shares a flat in Greenwich with party colleague Sammy Wilson, said the East Antrim MP bought the curtains in Larne. “The Fees Office checked that even though they had been bought in Northern Ireland they were being used in London, which they were,” he said. “They would have been almost double the price if we had bought them in London.” On day 21 of the newspaper’s probe into MPs’ expenses, it said Mr Donaldson claimed £6,150 in stamp duty and £1,406 in solicitors’ fees.”

So typical of Jeffrey (Did you know that he served in the UDR during The Troubles?) – he’s always thinking of ways to SAVE us money by SPENDING it. I bet the curtains he chose were of the finest quality. And let’s face it – it’s only appropriate that we fund Jeffrey’s taste in curtains. Looking forward to drawing this issue open next time Jeffrey and I cross swords on the radio.
