There once was a Great Movie

By ATWadmin On July 31st, 2010 at 10:08 pm

It was called Good Bye Charlie. It starred Tony Curtis and Debbie Reynolds. Late 60s Genre of film, Debbie plays a man that was an avid womanizer and a lech in all ways in his life. When the Movie starts he falls over his balcony drunk onto the rocks of the ocean below, but instead of dying he washes back up as a blonde bombshell and his friend Tony has to deal with his friends mind in this womans body.

True reality I loved the film, good ole fashion comedy. The theme song has been playing through my mind all weekend, as one after another Democrats including the President have come out and ask Charlie Rangal to resign.

No relation between the two stories except that a Corrupt Charlie just had to go and everyone knows it except Charlie.

So Chelsea Clinton is getting married this weekend. How does the rhyme go? Oh yes:

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, plus a no-fly zone, sniffer dogs, the secret service all over town and more overtime than the police ever dreamed of.

Just the ticket for “America’s royal wedding”. If you’re thinking it’ll cost a few bob you’d be right.

ABC News estimates the total cost for the affair could reach $2 million, and other reports say that it could cost as much as $5 million. The flowers alone could cost $250,000.

Goodness, Bill is stuck with a bill, eh? How will a poor boy who grew up to become a humble public servant pay for it all? Give it a Greek theme? Oh that’s right, he’s staggeringly rich. Since the American people didn’t choose to shower him with cash we can wonder at the services rendered and for whom.

Anyway, it’s just as well the security’s as tight as a new boot. An awful lot of celebs and Tremendously Important People will be in town for the gig. I hope Americans remember it’s their patriotic duty to fork out the $millions instead of balking at paying for protection for some of the planet’s richest people. Well it is, isn’t it? They should sit back in gratitude, enjoy the show and have a weekend off from worrying about where the next paycheck’s coming from.

Today was the Belfast Gay Parade. You can listen to the BBC’s slavish review of it here. I wish all who participated it well but to be fair, it was a bit of a freak show. I wonder if more sober-minded gay people are not embarrassed by this overt and garish display? Wonder would the BBC be so supportive of a “Totally Heterosexual Pride Parade”? I also wonder how on earth this can be termed “family friendly”? Naturally the Gay Rights uber alles brigade will howl at even the raising of an eye-brow over their parade but it strikes me that it does show how Belfast and Northern Ireland has moved on…..deeper and deeper into the Pit. Dante never knew the half of it.

So British Petroleum seems to have plugged the leak and the Gulf Of Mexico is shaking off a little organic Earth juice.

Soon the federal government will prove its wisdom by telling the oilmen how to do their job with new laws and regulations. But should there be new laws, regulations and oversight and of what severity?

After the worst environmental disaster ever, a catastrophe to rank with 9/11, it’s inevitable that changes are afoot. Besides, Obamses said so.

Let’s just hope that someone, somewhere, understands economics (and, therefore, that you must look past the obvious to what is unseen also) and realises that maybe, just maybe, new laws and regulations might not be necessary afterall.

How long before we see Simon Cowell with a beard and Cheryl Cole in a Burqa? Malaysia’s television search for its next religious leader using an X Factor style format came to a conclusion on Friday night.

Young Imam” has taken the country by storm and the production company is now in talks with television channels in several other Islamic countries, including Egypt and Turkey.

In the show, 10 aspiring young imams aged 19 to 27 have been given various tasks each week, such as reciting the Koran, washing corpses, counselling couples who have applied for divorce and slaughtering chicken and sheep according to Muslim rules.

Junior Minister Robin Newton, Taoiseach Brian Cowen, Minister for Regional Development Conor Murphy, Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and Mayor of Newry Mick Murphy at the official opening of the 12km stretch of A1 which completes the Dublin to Belfast motorway yesterday.

Says it all. The guy on the left is DUP Junior Minister Robin Newton. There are two IRA terrorists in the picture, the Mayor of Newry is a member of IRA/Sinn Fein and of course we have the Irish Prime Minister Biffo. Note that are all applauding. I stand by what I wrote in the Newsletter the other day – the Belfast Agreement dissolves are Britishness and some, like Newton, are so dumb that they applaud.

Delighted to see that Israel has struck back at the Hamas rocketeers who have taken time out from enjoying the luxurious shopping facilities in the most oppressed part of the known Universe to try and kill some Jews.

Late Friday aircraft shot at least four missiles at buildings used by Hamas security forces in Gaza City, wounding eight, medics said. Warplanes also hit smuggling tunnels on the border with Egypt, without causing casualties, witnesses said.

Hamas do not seek peace. They seek the destruction of Israel. The Hamas enablers on the Hate Flotillas are in essence backing the Qassam rocketing of Israel and as such are, as I described them at the time, terror enablers.

Being a Prison Officer here in Northern Ireland is not an easy job. Consider this;

The Northern Ireland Prison Service has said it has issued staff with protective clothing after urine was “aimed at them” in a jail protest. About 30 dissident republicans are conducting a so-called “dirty protest” at Maghaberry jail.

The men are pouring their urine onto the cell block landings as part of the long-running protest. The NI Prison Service said the protest was limited to one area of the jail where republican prisoners are held.

In a statement, the service said the protest had involved prisoners “fouling areas of their living accommodation by pouring urine, sometimes mixed with excrement, onto the landings and some damage has been caused to cell fittings. “Staff working in that area of the prison have, on occasion, had discarded urine aimed at them,” the statment continued.

I am sure any civilised person reading this will be appalled at this behaviour and wonder why it is tolerated? Shouldn’t the savages concerned be put into solitary cells where they can be completely isolated and shouldn’t their sentences be increased in the light of this behaviour?

Dirty protests, to use the local euphemism for wallowing in their own filth, are a central part of Irish Republican strategy and soon, very soon, the NI Government will build a shrine to the Provo scum who also indulged in such degeneracy.

When we reflect on how anyone could foul their living quarters, mix their urine and faeces and throw it at prison officers, we should recall that Irish Republican heroes such as Bobby Sands and the rest ALSO engaged in this.  What sort of people salute the practitioners of this animalistic behaviour?

Why should we break our backs
Stupidly paying tax?
Better get some untaxed income
Better to pick-a-pocket or two.

You’ve got to pick-a-pocket or two, boys
You’ve got to pick-a-pocket or two.

Did you see that our open border system has been blamed for encouraging a Romanian gypsy gang to bring in almost 200 children to beg and steal up to £20million a year on our streets?

“The modern-day Fagins face charges of child trafficking, money laundering, membership of an organised crime group and possession of illegal firearms. The 26 crime barons were arrested in April when Romanian police aided by Scotland Yard officers raided 17 fortified “gypsy palaces” in the poverty-stricken town of Tanderai. They are believed to have trafficked at least 181 children aged between seven and 15 to Britain over the past three years, exposing how powerless border guards are to limit migrants.”

Britain’s population bulges because under Labour our borders were carefully dismantled. The massive inflow of unregulated immigration has transmogrified swathes of this country, and in this case facilitated gangs of child thieves, something which seems almost inconceivable in the 21st century. Of course Romania IS in the European Union and the open borders policy means we cannot stop many of those who pour into our Nation. That is all the more reason to leave the European Union. The longer we remain in it, the more disfigured the UK will become.

This is one of those issues which seems black and white but is in fact grey.

Ian Huntley, the Soham killer, has launched a legal bid against the Government for compensation after his throat was slashed in prison, the Government confirmed. Huntley, you will recall cruelly murdered murdered 10 year-old friends Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, in 2002.

Look at their innocent young faces and then ask yourself what SORT of man could kill them?

Huntley needed treatment after being slashed across the throat whilst in prison and is now suing the prison authorities.

My position is clear. Huntley IS a monster who should have been executed for his awful crimes.

However, our country has chosen to abandon capital punishment and so Huntley goes to prison. The Prison Authorities have a duty of care to all prisoners, regardless of the crime they have committed. And so it is that because they patently failed, Huntley has a case. Of course it is utterly immoral that this man should receive so much as one penny but the law is the law and we have, as a society, ensured that child-killers reap the financial benefits that follow their imprisonment.
