THE NEW BOSS, AS BAD AS THE OLD BOSS!

By David Vance On May 25th, 2011 at 8:36 am

Enda Kenny, the new Irish PM, is proving as useless as Brian Cowen, the former Irish PM. Get this;

Taoiseach Enda Kenny last night admitted he didn’t raise key economic issues with US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron. Mr Kenny was also embarrassed when it emerged he had lifted a passage of Mr Obama’s own celebrated election night speech without crediting the US president.

However more damagingly, despite Mr Obama’s offering to “do everything we can to help on the path to recovery”, Mr Kenny didn’t ask him if the US government had actually blocked an attempt by the previous Irish government to burn €30bn worth of bondholders. And when he met Mr Cameron last week, he didn’t discuss the interest rate on the British loans in the international aid package.

Mr Kenny did not ask President Obama about a claim that US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner vetoed the previous government’s attempt to force a €30bn haircut on unguaranteed bondholders. ”No I didn’t raise it with him. We discussed a whole range of issues,” he said. Mr Kenny said he was not aware of Mr Geithner’s view on the bondholders, even though he met with the treasury secretary in Washington in March.

Wonder what issues were more important than the Irish economy, Mr Kenny? Thus far, you have shown yourself to be every bit as incompetent as Cowen and it seems that you

Policing Board

The Northern Ireland Policing Board has been sold to the people as a veritable jewel in the crown of the “reform of Policing.” Remarkably, it contains two IRA convicted terrorists plus Caitriona Ruane of Education infamy. No one seems in the least concerned about the make up of this Institution, after all what could be more natural than to have convicted law-breakers guiding the forces of law and order? Once you are within Dante’s inferno, all seems well. However, all is not well in this Garden of Eden;

The Audit Office has said the Policing Board must move quickly to respond to a critical report on how it functions. An independent report last year said the board lacked strategic direction and did not offer value for money. The Audit Office has called for an action plan to respond to those criticisms and a review of how the board assesses PSNI performance.

The board commissioned the independent consultant’s report in February 2010. It spoke of strategic drift, insufficient focus on efficiency and a culture that was slow to seek out or embrace opportunities for organisational change. It also said that there was little evidence of teamwork among senior managers, and that the way in which it had operated had resulted in “a lack of corporate responsibility, common vision, ambition, and barriers to organisational progress”.

But apart from that…?

WELCOME TO THE FUTURE…

It’s really quite apt. Northern Ireland’s capital city, Belfast, has become a NATIONALIST city and the manifestation of this becomes clearer by the day;

A unionist bid to carve up power (Not even a HINT of journalistic bias there from the soaraway Belfast Telegraph, DV) in Belfast City Council has failed after members voted to change rules on how committee representatives are chosen.

At a special meeting last night, councillors agreed to allocate the mayoral positions and committee chairmanships to the largest political party — and not to the largest political grouping, as in previous years.

The emergency meeting was convened by Sinn Fein, the SDLP and Alliance Party after the DUP, UUP and Independent councillor Frank McCoubrey teamed up to form the Belfast City Unionist Group which, with 19 members, would have been entitled to first pick of the top posts under the old rules. A proposal from Sinn Fein’s Jim McVeigh to “consider the deletion of the current Standing Order 37 … and to replace the words ‘political groupings’, ‘political groups’ and ‘groups’ with the words ‘political parties’ or ‘parties’ as appropriate” was carried by 27 votes to 19.

There are a few points to be made;

1. Interesting to see the Alliance Party align with Irish Nationalism when shove comes to push. The NIO stool pigeons can always be relied upon to do what is required of them. Those foolish unionists in East Belfast who rush to support them get the payback forecast by some of us. Good.

2. Rules change when it suits Irish Nationalism.

3. The weak and gutless unionists that have sat in Belfast City Council deserve all that they get. They were happy to carve things up to suit themselves so they cannot complain when such pathetic self interest is deployed against them.

How long before the Irish Tricolour is draped over City Hall and every form of virulent paean to Republicanism indulged? Unionism cannot elect stooges and then complain whey they do not deliver.

Palin’s Secret Weapon: New Film to Premiere in June

The Appropriate background of JAWS should be playing

Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin’s governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign.

The response was more positive than Palin could have hoped for. He’d make a feature-length movie, Bannon told Mansour, and he insisted upon taking complete control and financing it himself — to the tune of $1 million.

The fruits of that initial conversation are now complete. The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska’s most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin’s prospective presidential campaign — an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won’t run.

IT’S ALWAYS 2008

Here is what Obama signed in the guestbook at Westminster Abbey earlier today, where he got a tour from the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall and laid a wreath on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior. You see what happens when there is no teleprompter!

President Obama Has No Idea What Year It Is

SIX LITTLE WORDS

By David Vance On May 24th, 2011 at 9:06 pm

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister told the US Congress on Tuesday that Israel will never give up its quest for peace and was ready to make

Wonderful speech from Netanyahu to Congress, you can read it all here. I thought this a fair summary.

“Bibi Netanyahu did several critical things: demonstrated that he and members of Congress from both parties are entirely in sync; refocused the world on Iran; publicly stated he would give up land considered by Jews to be part of their historic homeland; left no doubt that the Palestinians’ refusal to recognize a Jewish state is the sole reason there is no Palestinian state; and implicitly made a mockery of President Obama’s fixation on settlements.”

Remember the six little words that Abbas must say.  ”I will accept a Jewish State”

Well? What’s keeping him?

Obama Proves He Hates America By Visiting Oldest Foe

By Mahons On May 24th, 2011 at 8:55 pm

We lost over 20,ooo patriots in the American Revolution and now just a just over a couple of centuries later President Obama demonstrates his true hatred of America by his visit to England.

Why he is evening staying at Buckingham Palace!  I suspect tea will be offered.  What would the original Tea Party members say to that betrayal?

I always knew he was a red, I never thought he was a redcoat.  What a great insult to our troops at Bunker Hill, Lexington & Concord, Saratoga, White Plains, Brooklyn and Yorktown.

Clearly he is meeting with the Brits to see how he can make Obamacare more like the NHS, to apologize for our driving on the wrong side of the road, and to see if all of our celebrities can be given  titles of nobility like Lady Gaga, Queen Latifah and Prince.

Dolly Madison must be rolling over in her grave.  Doesn’t Obama know that the British burned the White House during the War of 1812?  Or don’t they teach American History at Harvard?  Why would he appease such terrorist acts?  It is an unspeakable outrage.  All true Americans should be white with anger, or should I say all white Americans should truly be angry.  Either way, you know what I mean damn it.  Didn’t Marx do his writing in London -no wonder he wants to go there.

Indeed, do you really think the Brits have gone away?  Ha!  Think of the assaults on New York City every time an Andrew Lloyd Weber production is visited upon Broadway.  Oh the humanity.  No talents like Russell Brand, a human chia pet with a drug history, all of a sudden being visited upon our popular movies.   I don’t think I have to even mention Fergie to this readership.  Who lets her in this country to go on Oprah?  Have we no Department of Homeland Security?

Obama will pay for this anti-American anglophilia come this next election.

When A Keystone Canary Sings

By The Troll On May 24th, 2011 at 6:57 pm

When A Keystone Canary Sings, you should listen. I come from the Keystone State, it’s the most beautiful and varied state in the U.S.

Pennsylvania is where everything started for this country, we are the Nations Keystone. My state offers everything you could want, we have Coal, Lumber, Agriculture, Dairy, Oil, A Large Port, Railroad and Steel, hell we even have a Diamond Mine. We have a long History of not only Industrial Diversity, but human diversity. From the Amish to the Industrialist, and every group in between. Pennsylvania was the End of the Line and the Goal of Freedom of the Underground Railroad.

All Freedom and the hard work to earn it began in Philadelphia. The State has produced every kind of industry and every type of person that is needed to do the hard work to lead a good Free Life. The hardest workers in my State delve deep into the Earth for that rich black rock Coal. It’s hard and dangerous work. In the early days of Mining in my state there were a lot of explosions and fires.  Gas would build in the mines and being that it was orderless and colorless you knew the danger was building but if you didn’t pay attention you would die. Many lives were lost. One mine that exploded and caught fire has been burning for over 60yrs and will burn for hundreds more.

To save the lives of our miners we gave them Keystone Canaries, strong song birds to hang in the mines. The birds would sing all day and night, if the birds stopped singing you were dead. Some miners liked the birds, and always listened to them, others would get annoyed at constantly hearing them, so they shut them out. Since they would ignore the birds they wouldn’t notice that the danger had reached an explosive level and because you didn’t listen when they sung you didn’t notice when they died, that’s when what killed them kills you.

Much like the Jews and the Arabs don’t you think? The Jews are the Canaries in the Coal Mine of the Middle East, and a lot of people get annoyed hearing them sing, constantly over and over about the holocaust and evil in the world. Just like the canary they are ignored and shut out, and just like in the mine once they are killed by the danger it to will be to late for the rest of us.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a Keystone Canary, who a person is is formed in their teenage years. The environment you are raised in influences you to be the person you are as an adult. Bibi spent those years in Philly, and the mark of those days shine in him today. He is steadfast, loyal, straight talking and hard as Pennsylvania Steel.

Truly one the greatest politicians of our day. Today he sung before a joint session of our government, both houses of Congress and the Administrative Branch. HERE is the speech he gave. What he said needs to heard, less we all wind up dead in an explosion.

The Price has gone up…..

By Mike Cunningham On May 24th, 2011 at 1:33 pm

In Biblical times, the going rate for betrayal was set at thirty pieces of silver.

I note that inflation has taken its toll on murderous intent as well as betrayal with the payment of £200 for a cold-blooded execution. The original agreement was for £2,000, but you know how these Black criminals are, they cannot even be trusted to pay the full price for a well done job; instead welshing on the deal and leaving the FIFTEEN-year-old killer with a measly £200, and of course a minimum sentence of Twenty years.
