DEVIL OF A NUMBER….

The tyranny of the EU continues with the news that Eurocrats are demandING an extra £900million from taxpayers next year, taking the annual cost of EU membership to £666 for every family in Britain.

 Brussels was accused of gross hypocrisy for planning what one critic branded a “disgusting” cash grab while demanding swingeing austerity measures across Europe. Yesterday the UK signalled it would press for restraint but no single country can veto the EU Commission’s annual budget, meaning the Government would have to build alliances with other like-minded governments to win a vote to block an eye-watering hike.

£666 – that sounds about right for the EU. In Brussels, they still want cake.

Because Friday night’s Music Night: some fine stuff that takes me back

Fair enough.

We all know how most newspapers, when they get it wrong, try turning somersaults in print before having to admit the failure.

Seems as though the Financial Times got half the story of the Titanic off the Emergency Morse Code messages; leapt into print, and spent the next one hundred years figuring out how to say “Oops!”

BEND OVER, HERE IT COMES AGAIN

By Pete Moore On April 20th, 2012 at 5:02 pm

Another £10bn of UK taxpayer money has been put at risk of a meltdown in the eurozone after George Osborne agreed to bolster Britain’s contribution to the global bail-out fund.

The extra commitment will take Britain’s total contributions to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to £40bn, putting every household on the line for £1,600.

Break’s over, back to work tax slaves.

The faces and thoughts of Formula One.

The fans are there for the chance of a crash.

We, the drivers and the teams, are there for the cash.

As for the blood; well, as it is easily washed off the cars and the tyres, it doesn’t really count!

and over to you, Maestro!

HEADLINES..

Anders Breivik, in my view, is a deranged madman who SHOULD be made to pay for his unspeakable crimes in Norway by forfeiting his life. Liberals know otherwise.

MASS murderer Anders Breivik yesterday described how he planned to behead Norway’s former prime minister during his gun rampage. His target was Gro Harlem Brundtland, who was at the Labour Party youth camp on Utoya island on the day of the massacre last July. Breivik wanted to kill all 600 people on the island and planned to capture the former prime minister, film her decapitation and post the video on the internet.

I wonder where he got the idea to cut off a persons head and post the video on the internet from? What sort of savagery could drive THAT sort of atrocity? Mm….

SUGAR ME

By David Vance On April 20th, 2012 at 9:34 am

Well, say what you will about him but Lord Sugar is spot on here;

Apprentice star and Labour peer Lord Sugar has urged people not to vote for his party’s candidate Ken Livingstone. The peer defied Labour leader Ed Miliband by telling his 1.8 million followers on Twitter not to back the former mayor’s bid for re-election. ”I seriously suggest NO ONE votes for Livingstone in the Mayoral elections,” he wrote.

Many will vote for Red Ken but I forecast now that he will lose to Boris Johnson and that will give him more time to spend with his newts.

SUBTITLED

By David Vance On April 20th, 2012 at 9:27 am

Had to laugh at this;

Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has once again hit the headlines because of her distinctive Londonderry accent. Currently appearing as a guest judge on reality US TV show America’s Next Top Model, her strong Derry dialect has led to her being subtitled for the American audience.

I have heard Nadine speak and I would need subtitles to understand her. She has an incredibly thick “Derry” accent. But I have to be honest and say that I suggest people aren’t really that bothered about what she is saying…..here she is trying out the NEW PSNI uniform.

Next move for Nadine Coyle after Thornhill College is Girls Aloud

PS Before I am accused of being anti-that accent, my wife was born and bred in the Maiden City!

THE WAGES OF HARD LABOUR

By David Vance On April 20th, 2012 at 9:23 am

Incredibly, the political party that presided over THIS are back in the lead in the opinion polls;

The immigration boom under Labour led to the face of Britain changing faster than any major nation except Italy, a study by an Oxford University think tank revealed. During the five-year peak of the influx, the UK’s migrant population soared by 22 per cent – double the average of G8 countries, figures from the Migration Observatory show. Over the past two decades, Britain’s foreign-born population has increased from 3.8million – or 7 per cent of the total population – in 1993 to almost 7million, or 12 per cent per cent in 2010.

Labour set out to change Britain forever, and it has partly succeeded. The demographic changes underway will have even more profound effects in twenty years time. Should Labour return to power, put there by those prepared to keep swallowing Labour lies, it may well finish this country.
