You have to wonder at the sanity of Israel’s governors, as well as if they’ve left nursery school:

Jerusalem Post: Israel okays building of 3,000 units in Jerusalem, West Bank

Israel approved the construction of 3,000 new housing units in Jerusalem and in the West Bank on Friday in response to the UN approving the Palestinian UN bid for  non-member observer state status, government officials stated.

The inner cabinet also decided to give the go ahead for the planning of thousands of housing units in area E1 that connects Jerusalem and Ma’aleh Adumim.

“In the West Bank”, meaning “not Israel”.

A map shows the idea is to join up Jerusalem with a large and existing settlement to the east. Life’s about to become alot more inconvenient for many Palestinians who currently travel through the gap between the two even if they don’t occupy it.

The White House response could hardly be more insipid, describing it as “counterproductive”. It would be counterproductive if Obama were to tell Netanyahu that this isn’t the act of a regime intent on peace, that the move must be reversed, that all settlement building must be halted – or the cash and military hardware stops. Not only would it be a justified response, it would be the right one.

Lets have some fun

no rhyme or reason just feel like ranting, time to shake off the funk.

In his last movie John Wayne gave a little speech regarding killing someone. Now I’m not calling for that kind of extreme, but the sentiment has always wrung true with me. It went something like this.

“I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, and I won’t be laid a hand upon. I don’t do these things to others and expect the same in return.” The response he got back from young Gillam Rogers (Ron Howard) was “well that doesn’t explain how you always came out on top” The Shootist “I found out long ago, most men ain’t willin. They’ll take a breath or blink an eye. I won’t”

Now I’m not for killing anyone except the enemy, certainly no one internal. I’m also not bothered by being insulted. Hell if I was I would have left here years ago. The jist of the sentiment however is something I understand.

The Commie won the election, socialism is his decree and his belief is he has a mandate. He will win a lot over the next few years as far as policy goes, but there is a problem. I maybe part of a minority, but we are a minority that will not go away, we will not be quiet, and we will not be swept away. Time and events are on our side. Communism doesn’t work. Unemployment and economic disaster will continue to grow, and as it does my minority will get louder and more obstinate.

This video is a reminder symbolically of what they and you  have to deal with over the next 4 years.

This is my sentiment of the current siciation of how things stand in my country, explained by a long gone friend…

Have a Nice Day

Damned if you do, Damned if you don’t

Ah the fiscal cliff, is not a cliff. In the grand scheme it is nothing but a minor dip in the road. The 86-111 Trillion Dollars of unfunded benefits promised by our government that’s a cliff, one that we see not ANY elected official willing to even speak of let alone address.

Tax Cheat Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, met with Republican members of Congress (I don’t call them leaders because they lead no one) to once again lay out the Presidents proposal to “avoid” the cliff.

His proposal 1.6 Trillion in tax increases, a 50 Billion Dollar NEW Stimulus Package, and the Authority for the President to raise the Debt Limit without going to Congress. Even idiot Mitch McConnell laughed out loud.

No matter what deal is reached the Republicans in Congress will be the ones blamed when it fails. Now mind you they deserve part of the blame. Our government was designed with checks and balances, something that has been ignored in part for decades but ridiculously over the past 4 years.

The House controls the money, it is the law that a budget must be passed every year, taxes originate in the House. None of these basics has been followed over the past 4 years.

If there were men and woman of Principal in the Peoples House they would just walk away and go home for Christmas. Let the so called Fiscal Cliff happen.

That of course will NEVER happen.

So, am I offered Thirty-One?

One of the best definitions of Government is a body or group which dedicates itself to the defence of the Nation-State. In these troubled times, we hold a small standing Army, a very-much reduced Navy and a Royal Air Force which must be checked under a microscope to find its component parts. These three arms of the Services have been treated savagely by Labour, and much the same by the Conservatives; both in terms of funding of manpower and equipment, as well as in direction. We are an Island Nation. We depend upon free passage for our imports, as well as the ever-diminishing flow of exports from our harbours and ports. We have surrendered much of our Sovereignty to foreigners, and we, or rather the various bunches of lying thieves and vagabonds masquerading as politicians have not only decimated our capability to defend ourselves, they have arranged things so that those decimations are permanent.

One of the driving forces behind a good defence structure is the ability to provide fuel for your aircraft, for your ships; and of course for the various methods of transporting large numbers of soldiers into harms way, if that is what is deemed necessary. To depend upon others, to allow your very power and motive infrastructure to be controlled by someone other than a sworn officer, is to accept that your very core is capable of being compromised. If you cannot refuel your aircraft, if you cannot run your trucks, tanks or mobile artillery, if you cannot be certain that your warships can be refuelled ahead of all others in a queue; you have arranged for surrender without the purchase of a white flag.

So one can understand why the bunch of lying thieves who masquerade under the title of the Coalition Government have slipped out, well-hidden in the fairly small print of the Energy Bill, itself further evidence of that  sheer lunacy known as the Climate Change Act, the most expensive piece of legislation probably introduced in this country since the Welfare State; the proposed sale of the only hardware specifically designed to keep safe the means of refuelling all our Armed Forces , safe as in protected by both guns as well as Statute. The ConDoms are proposing to sell off the Ministry of Defence (MOD) held asset that supplies aviation fuel to military airbases in the UK, as well as a number of civilian airports.

This asset, known as the the Government Pipeline and Storage System (GPSS) was established to provide a secure oil distribution network for the United Kingdom at the beginning of World War Two in 1939. Over many years the pipeline route has been extended and amended until it now covers approximately 2,500 km of pipe and associated storage depots, pumping stations and other sites. The GPSS distributes about 40 per cent of the aviation fuel within the UK and is used to supply important commercial airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick, along with Royal Air Force (RAF) and United States Air Force bases in England and Scotland.

One presumes the price will be slightly in excess of the statutory Thirty Pieces of Silver, but not by much!

You would need a heart of stone not to laugh at this news. In 2012, the year heralded by the political class here as THE year for tourism for Northern Ireland, guess what happened?

Official figures suggest a big fall in the number of tourists coming to Northern Ireland. The statistics from the Department for Enterprise show the number of overseas visitors staying at least one night has fallen by 12% compared to 2011. Visitors from Great Britain are down 15% and there is a 20% fall for the rest of Europe. However, visitors from North America are up 18% while hotel room occupancy rates are up 11%. The figures cover the period January-September 2012, which coincided with a major marketing push.

Amusingly, the Minister for Tourism the blessed Arlene Fosters disputes the figures. The figures from her OWN Department!!!!!

There has been a huge sum of money spent on advertising all year and I am sure the ad agency concerned has had a GREAT year but once again we can all see that the clowns at Stormont preside over failure!

Do have a read of this story. I read and it reinforced my long standing view that our Judiciary are the enemies of justice on far too many occasions!

Two men who were locked up after they were found guilty of involvement in one of the defining moments of the London riots today had their convictions quashed. Millions of people around the world watched in horror CCTV footage of 21-year-old Ashraf Rossli being robbed by men purporting to be Good Samaritans. Mr Rossli, a Malaysian accountancy student, had only moments earlier had his jaw shattered by another rioter as he cycled in Barking, east London, in August 2011.

Now, either the police are guilty of GROSS incompetence or the Judge needs locking up. Either way, justice is in the dock and stands indicted!

Is democracy a good thing? Does that seem an odd question? Possibly but it is one people have wrestled with for eons and I do wonder if we really can trust the electorate, ever mind the thieving politicians.

Labour has won three by-elections, holding Croydon North, Middlesbrough and Rotherham parliamentary seats. The UK Independence Party came second in Middlesbrough and Rotherham, and finished third behind the Conservatives in Croydon North. Labour significantly increased its share of the vote in Croydon North and Middlesbrough to over 60%.

So, Labour – the party that has presided over the abysmal multicultural open borders agenda, the party which all but bankrupted the economy giving us massive levels of debt, and the Party that has had MP’s JAILED because they fiddled their expenses to rob us all, get a hefty majority to get back into power in these constituencies. Oh, I know the turn out was LOW, but all the same the sheeple did as their masters required. What hope for a Nation where the minority who vote choose to vote for national destruction?

Planet Of The Apes

By Daphne On November 30th, 2012 at 2:15 am

Granted, I’m easily amused by the absurd nature of most political matters these days but this Time interview with Mohamed Morsi scales obscene new heights of amusement.

According to the Times, “Protocol required President Morsi to answer questions from TIME editors and reporters in his native Arabic, the official language of Egypt.  Instead, as a courtesy to his guests, he spoke for most of the hour in English, which he last spoke regularly three decades ago.”

I expect interesting times ahead for Egypt and the West who have to deal with North Africa’s newest dictator.

On the lessons of Planet of the Apes: I remember a movie. Which one? Planet of the Apes. The old version, not the new one. There is a new one. Which is different. Not so good. It [does] not [express] the reality as it was the first one. But at the end, I still remember, this is the conclusion: When the big monkey, he was head of the Supreme Court I think — in the movie! — and there was a big scientist working for him,  cleaning things, [who] has been chained there. And it was the planet of the apes after the destructive act of a big war and atomic bombs and whatever in the movie. And the scientist was asking him to do something … “Don’t forget you are a monkey,” [the man] tells [the ape]. “Don’t ask me about this dirty work.” What did the big ape, the monkey, say? He said, “You’re human. You did it [to] yourself.” That’s the conclusion. Can we do something better for ourselves?

Religious freedom was also fair game for Morsi’s grotty language skills.

On freedoms in the new Egypt: I’m very keen on having true freedom of expression. True freedom of faith. And free practice of religious faith. I am keen and I will always be keen on [transfer] of power. I’m an elected President. My chief responsibility is to maintain the national ship to go through this transitional period. This is not easy. Egyptians are determined to [move] forward within the path of freedom and democracy, and this is what I see. Justice and social justice. Development with its comprehensive overall meaning. Human development. Industrial productive development. Scholarly research. Political development. International relations balanced with all different parties, east and west. We are keen in Egypt, and I am personally keen right now, on maintaining freedom, democracy, justice and social justice. The Muslim Brotherhood do not say anything different from that.

I would have much preferred to hear Morsi hold forth on his countrymen’s peculiar obsession with female genital mutilation or their widespread cultural acceptance of rape and misogynistic brutality. He could have explained why he tolerates an abysmal lack of basic equal rights, core educational opportunities or representational voices for women in Egypt.

I’d like to hear how the Muslim Brotherhood plans to act less like apes and more like enlightened men.

As a side note, I wouldn’t mind listening to Morsi’s thoughts on how his third world shithole of a country plans on building a sustainable, durable, peaceful economy without reliance on billions of US aid.

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein was back in the White House yesterday, giving Obama more fiscal cliff instructions. That’ll always be bad news for Americans. Tagging along were a bunch of other crony corporate fascists looking to stitch up everyone else.

Ominously, CNBC reports that Blankfein left the White House pleased at Obama’s “credible” plan. That’s really bad news for Americans. A deal’s been done, taxes will rise, borrowing will rise, Goldmans will be quids in, Americans are going to lose again.
