The puppet master emerges…

The leader of Britain’s biggest union has pledged his full support to Labour, saying the party will not be allowed to fight the general election with “one hand tied behind its back” through lack of funds.  Len McCluskey, general secretary of Unite, said the union will make sure next May’s election was not “financially lopsided”. He told Unite’s national conference in Liverpool that the union stood “fully behind” Labour and leader Ed Miliband and his “increasingly radical” agenda.

Ed Miliband was elected Labour CARE of trade union votes. The links run deep.

Isn’t capitalism wonderful?

A little-known budget airline is set to revolutionise the way we travel, launching low-cost flights between London and the US for as little as £150 – just $255 – each way from this week.

Norwegian, the airline that is coming up behind Ryanair and easyJet to be the third most popular no-frills airline in Europe, will this week launch its first transatlantic service from the UK […]

The airline launches its first service between Gatwick and Los Angeles on Wednesday, followed by Gatwick to New York the following day and a final route to the Florida hub of Fort Lauderdale on Friday.

While prices during the summer are higher, Norwegian will be offering return journeys from as little as £150 off-peak, one way.

Think about it: most humans who ever lived never moved out of their immediate locale. Then for centuries a transatlantic trip took weeks and cost a fortune. Now, with yet another of those ordinary, everyday capitalist miracles no-one thinks about and everyone takes for granted, you can do it in a few hours for a not much more than a daily wage.

Well done Norwegian, they deserve every success.

(* Of course, that’s 150 quid before the mendacious State demands to be paid off via ‘taxes’)

Manchester is a major British city. Just don’t go there after midnight..

A senior police officer has admitted the centre of one of Britain’s biggest cities is “too dangerous” after midnight and warned the police are unable to guarantee the public’s safety. Inspector Ian Hanson said changes to licensing laws – brought in by the Labour government in 2003 – had led to significant increases in alcohol-fuelled violence at a time when police budgets and officer numbers are being cut.

The inspector, who represents frontline officers as chairman of the local Police Federation branch, said he would not go into central Manchester late at night when the weekend drinking culture is in full swing at the city’s 300 pubs, bars and nightclubs. “I still socialise in Manchester city centre but I would not be there past midnight now,” said Insp Hanson, 47, who has spent 26 years in the police.”

And so, the Police admit they cannot police after midnight.  We have a problem.

Tragic but predictable;

The three Israeli teenagers who went missing earlier this month in the West Bank have been found dead.

An Israeli military spokesman said their bodies were found in a pit near the town of Halhul, north of Hebron. Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Shaar, both aged 16, and 19-year-old Eyal Yifrach were last seen at a junction near Hebron as they hitchhiked home.

What sort of SAVAGES did this?  Young lives extinguished by evil terrorist scum. I hope Israel deals with the guilty. My thoughts lie with the families of these teenage boys. I am sure the UN will be issuing a condemnation anyway soon.

Seen this?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is distributing a document setting the standards for sexual education in Europe, which promotes masturbation, contraception, abortion and homosexuality to infants, young children and adolescents.  “A holistic approach based on an understanding of sexuality as an area of human potential helps children and young people to develop essential skills to enable them to self-determine their sexuality” says the document.

Promoting masturbation and “exploring gender identities”  “from cradle to 4 YEAR OLDS?”

Then from 4 to 6 the agenda is cranked up;

–       Children should “consolidate their gender identity”.

–       Being informed about “different concepts of a family”.

–       Accept  “diversity”.

Deprabed beyond words – corrupting childhood and removing innocence.

It’s interesting to know how those at the Palace of Westminster spend their time.

Users of the UK Parliament’s internal network, including MPs, Lords and their staff logged onto gaming websites four million times in the last year.

The most popular sites were the Premier League’s fantasy football league, the quiz site sporcle.com and the role playing site wizards.com. A freedom of information request reported by the Sun showed users of the network accessed trivia and chat website i-am-bored.com 19,345 times from Palace of Westminster computers. Other users wasted time on a website that enables visitors to grow virtual cabbages and fruit. It had a total of 25,779 hits from within the parliamentary estate. Between January 2013 and January 2014 there were 3,844,636 attempts to access gaming websites from Parliamentary IT servers. Sporacle had 457,368 hits and Fantasy Premier League had 86,157.

I am not sure what to make of this. If they are spending their time gambling then I suppose that gives them less time to gamble with out future?

Hail Juncker.

New EU president Jean-Claude Juncker is set to earn £1.8million in pay and perks over the next five years, following David Cameron’s failure to block his appointment last week.

The former Luxembourg Prime Minister will head up the powerful Commission until 2019 following his election by European leaders on Friday. Mr Juncker, 59, a veteran Brussels fixer who favours a United States of Europe, will earn £245,629.70 a year – almost double Mr Cameron’s £142,000 pay packet.

Here is an insight into Mr Juncker’s thinking…just so you KNOW the sort of chap the EU chooses to preside.

“When it becomes serious, you have to lie.”

And then this..

“Monetary policy is a serious issue. We should discuss this in secret, in the Eurogroup […] I’m ready to be insulted as being insufficiently democratic, but I want to be serious […] I am for secret, dark debates.”

And finally this…

“We all know what to do, we just don’t know how to get re-elected after we’ve done it.”

He was elected 26 votes to 2.

Nothing changes here in Northern Ireland. Everyday is groundhog day.

Talks aimed at finding a solution to the problems of flags, parading and the past are an opportunity for progress, according to the DUP and Sinn Féin. The talks, involving the five main Stormont parties, begin on Wednesday. Sinn Féin’s Gerry Kelly said his party was prepared to talk “right throughout the summer”. Gregory Campbell of the Democratic Unionist Party said despite difficulties they “shall try to make progress”.

Talk. Talk and more talk.

Meanwhile the actual government is mired in inactivity. No welfare reform. No change in corporate tax. No Nothing. Just talking.

Except it isn’t really even talking. It is all about stupid egotistical unionists getting themselves engaged in a process which has ONE clear aim – sanitising the wicked past of the IRA and ensuring their murdering heroes get off without any chance of any conviction for all the evil they committed. That is what “dealing with the past” entails and the DUP/UUP know it. Yet they can’t resist and so get themselves drawn in – playing the Provo game.
