Well then, this sort of sabre rattling didn’t take long, did it?

Gibraltar has accused Spain of manipulating the European Council for its own political interests. A draft document on the EU’s Brexit strategy said no agreement on the EU’s future relationship with the UK would apply to Gibraltar without the consent of Spain, giving it a potential veto.

But Gibraltar’s chief minister Fabian Picardo said this was “unacceptable”. Conservative MPs in the UK have warned that the sovereignty of the UK overseas territory is non-negotiable. (Labour MPs much more relaxed about giving away British territory, of course)

Perhaps we SHOULD discuss the status of Gibraltar with Spain. Just as soon as we discuss the status of the Canary Islands, Catalonia, Galacia, Ceuta and of course Mellila.

The salons of the Left, such as the execrable Huffington Post, seem more and more like an amplification from Arkham Asylum. Just consider this headline…

And then this…

If we want to be respected as women and taken seriously in all our endeavors we should look to a new source; Muslim women. Muslim women, as well as Muslim men, see every body as a sacred temple, especially the female body. Opposed to exposing themselves, it is through modesty. When we think of modern feminists we should stray away from the new American trends and start looking to what we have always thought as a contradiction; Muslim feminists.

Ladies, embrace your Burqa, embrace being treated like a dog, embrace female genital mutilation – embrace new age mentally unhinged feminism.

Because Friday night is Music Night

Article 50 was triggered at lunchtime on Wednesday, and the Sun has been shining ever since. That’s no coincidence. So let’s have a tune then, one which … erm, I’ve just realised is quite downbeat. Never mind, I like it, so it passes the test of quality.

As always, feel free to share your fav sounds down below –

SO the EU’s opening gambit is that the UK must agree to stumping up a 60 billion quid exit fee before any further Brexit negotiations can take place – pffffffff.

Hey chumps, a majority of Britons say that no deal is better than a bad deal.

But let’s go with it for the sake of argument. Let’s put aside that they’ve come up with an inflated bill as a basis for negotiation. Let’s put aside this silly idea that when you leave a club you still have to pay for clubhouse maintenance. Let’s assume that it’s a fair and reasonable sum.

Great, so pay it. It’s only the NHS budget for six months. It’s nothing in the long term. It’s less than a grand per head. Do they think we value our sovereignty and independence so little? Of course, but they don’t know of love for one’s own culture and nation.

The Jocks might leave one day. Gibraltarians voted to remain in the EU. We haven’t seen the last of that question. We know this. We purposely pulled the pin on a grenade when we chose independence. We rejected the same old elitism. We rejected the idea that things can just carry on as before. We were given the mic for once and screamed into it. We let the dice fly high. It might cost us a few quid, and the ructions will be deep and profound for a continent, for many years.

Good, we know this, that’s what we chose.

28 Days……

By Patrick Van Roy On March 30th, 2017 at 1:59 pm

Not a horror movie or the amount of time for a stay in rehab, 28 days is what it took for the “news” to float to the surface after it was spoken on MSNBC…… Shows you how many people are watching that channel.

Dr Evelyn Farkas who worked in the Obama administration as a Mid-Level Political Appointee in the Defense Department admitted that she committed Felonies regarding the handling of Classified Information, and that a network to continue to commit Felonies was put in place so that Classified Information could be continued to leak.

Ladies and Gentleman these are High Crimes, this woman admitted to committing Felonies. Now if she had done so on a Network that had more than 4 viewers it wouldn’t have taken 28days for this admission to have been noticed.

People of the left… koolaid drinkers and commies convinced by the spin believe they can damage the Trump Presidency…. Only Trump can damage Trump, but that’s beside the point. The point that will eventually be stuck in their eye is that the ONLY CRIMES that have been committed have been committed by the Clinton’s and the Obama Administration.

The exposure and then leaking of Classified Information is a Felony. That’s classified as a High Crime. All this screeching about Trump has done nothing except expose Obama and his Administration Appointees to Criminal Prosecution.

UPDATE: Someone spoke to a Lawyer…..

Appearing on MSNBC on March 2, Farkas spoke as a former Obama administration insider with personal knowledge of the game that was afoot: “I was urging my former colleagues, and, and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration. Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left.” And so on.

Appearing on CNBC yesterday, however, in the wake of the attention drawn to her comments, Farkas denied knowledge of anything. She only knew what she read in the newspapers. Who doesn’t remember Hogan’s Heroes? She went full Sergeant Schultz.

DT Phone Home

By Mahons On March 30th, 2017 at 11:50 am

President Trump is making America wait again.  We wait for his fantastic health care law, we wait for the defeat of ISIS, we wait for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, we wait for him to stop going to golf courses, we wait for Mexico to pay for a wall that has not yet been started, we wait for his son-in-law to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, we wait for revelations as to his team’s relations with a hostile Russian, we wait for the release of his tax returns, etc.

He did have a nice moment in his address to Congress where he read from a teleprompter and acted in an adult-like manner.  But the vain insecure man child who road limousines through the streets of New York is hardly changing his true colors at age 70.  Many Trump supporters are starting to feel that sickly gut feeling that students of Trump University experienced – that they are the victims on a Con man.

Governing ain’t easy.  The brass political slogans and thin-skinned tweets are no substitute for hard work and attention to details.  If he wishes to leave a legacy of something besides laughter and chaos, the President needs to check himself. But that means abandoning the habit of a lifetime.  It is ironic that a man so obsessed with himself has such little capacity for self-reflection.

It is time for our Extraterrestrial-in-Chief to phone home.  Get a grip on the nature and seriousness of the Office of the Presidency.  And we need him to do it because a drowning man is dangerous to others.

The 11th Commandment: Never Trust the Tories

THIS is it. The deed is done. Article 50 was actually, finally triggered today, at around 1230. That wasn’t all that was triggered, judging by the callers on BBC and LBC. The rump of Remainers are taking it bad. That cheers me even more.

Article 50 was invoked at the moment the UK’s Ambassador to the EU handed the Prime Minister’s letter to Donald Tusk, President of the EU Council. I’ll always remember that I was sat in a traffic jam on the M3 at the time, for once with a huge grin on my mug.

But I don’t trust the Tories. They have some sterling patriots in their ranks. David Davis is the Brexit Secretary and he’ll be supported by some decent MPs. However I don’t trust the Prime Minister, no patriot can trust the Chancellor, and I expect Tory Remain MPs to continue the guerilla warfare.

Reports Laurence Vance:

I was at a museum recently where some replicas of Indian bones were on display from a nearby archeological site. I noticed an exhibit of pelvises that explained how someone’s gender can be determined by the shape of his or her pelvis. I already knew this, but was very interested in the exhibit because just that day I had read about a mother and son “transitioning” into a father and daughter. I hate to break it to you transgender folks, but if for some reason your skeleton is examined a hundred years after you are dead you will be identified as a male or a female even if you pretended to be a female or a male while you walked this earth.

You can pretend to be something you’re not. You can even demand that others collude in your fairy tales and fictions. But in the end you are what you are.

WE were warned that the Tories were out to destroy the NHS. Oh why didn’t we listen? Reports the BBC:

NHS targets suncream prescriptions for cuts

Suncream, cold remedies and gluten-free food may no longer be available on the NHS in England under a crackdown on “low value” medicines […]

It also includes some types of pain relief and travel vaccines.

People in sane parts of the world will be forgiven for wondering if the NHS (“the taxpayer”) actually pays for suncream, gluten-free food and travel vaccines. Yes it does. And there’s more. Also lined up for he chop are omega 3 and fish oils, plasters and alternatives to Viagra.

Most people, even Britons, still think that the NHS is a health service. This is wrong. It’s a vast, full-spectrum lifestyle management bureaucracy that gallops through 300 million quid a day. Actual healthcare is an incidental activity, the same way that a modern airport is really a vast shopping centre with a runway out the back.

This is what the Remain case reduces down to…yes, THAT bad.
