Just for once, here’s one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands.

It appears we have extremism amongst those tasked with….erm…tackling extremism. Nothing to worry about…?

“A former counterterrorism sergeant has attacked the Metropolitan police for failing to tackle extremist views among some of its Muslim officers for fear of being labelled “Islamophobic”. Javaria Saeed, a practising Muslim who worked in Scotland Yard’s counterterrorism division, complained to her bosses after she witnessed a fellow Muslim officer saying female genital mutilation (FGM) — illegal in the UK since 1985 — was a “clean and honourable practice ” and “shouldn’t be criminalised”.

Here we have a Muslim police officer blowing the whistle on those muslim colleagues holding extreme views. She is to be congratulated for her bravery.

Mike Cunningham wrote this excellent article earlier and I wanted to share;

“To the women of Northern Ireland”

You should now rejoice, for, because of the weasel manoeuvres of Labour’s Stella Creasy, aided by some 100 similar blood-thirsty lickspitltle Members of Parliament; you will now be able to kill your unborn and unwanted baby efficiently, quickly and at no monetary cost, apart that is from paying for travel to England or Scotland.

I came across these stats earlier.

London work related welfare benefits was £36 billion in 2012. That figure will have soared since then, btw

UK National defence budget is £35bn in 2016

London has the highest immigrant population in the UK.

See how it works?

We spend more on welfare in London than the defence of our Nation.

Because Friday night is Music Night

IT’S the weekend already. Have fun whatever you’re up to. I won’t be watching the Lions thrash New Zealand (“cough”) in the morning. It’s the Chalke Valley History Festival for me, in bucolic Wiltshire, and a jolly good walk in deepest Wessex. So the commentary will have to do while I look at the back end of a tractor on the A303.

And I’ve had some of this on. It makes a surprisingly relaxing driving track. Feel free to share your fav sounds, whatever you like. But no Pink Floyd eh?

Here’s another view from C.N.N.

This time, Jimmy Carr, associate producer.

‘American voters are stupid as shit and Kellyanne Conway looks like she got her by a shovel”

Here comes Merkel!

WHAT a fun week it’s been. A generation of new voters thought they’d got Jihad Jeremy Corbyn into Downing Street, there to stop Brexit and keep the UK in the EU. What a disappointment for them. It’s slowly dawned that Labour lost the election. Then Corbyn sacks three Shadow Cabinet ministers who defied the party whip by voting to keep the UK in the so-called Single Market. The little darlings never noticed that he’s always been staunchly anti-EU. They actually thought he’s a Remainiac.

The Macron only goes and invites (accepted!) President Trump to France. I thought it was Bonfire Night, but no. It was the sound of tiny Liberal minds popping at their new French beau getting snuggly with Captain Evil.

And now Angela Merkel has voted against same-sex marriage in Germany. She believes that marriage “is between a man and a woman”. Well said that disaster of a Chancellor. Merkel is widely admired in Left Wing circles of course. She’s pro-EU and well on course to ethnically and culturally destroy her country. So they love her. And then she does a DUP, thinking it’s 1953 and that homosexuality hasn’t been invented yet. It’s either that or she’s getting on board with her “new Germans”.

Either way, the DUP has been roasted by the smug class for its conservative opinions, and now Merkel goes and gives them cover What laughs.

The political arrangement between the DUP and Conservatives carries consequences and even at this early point in the new Parliament, we see them emerge. The Belfast Telegraph phoned me for a few short quotes on the topic which you can read here but I wanted to spell them out in more detail.

Yesterday, the DUP backed Conservatives government decided it would provide funding for women living in N.Ireland to travel to England to have an abortion. This was done to see off a Labour motion on the same issue, so purely pragmatic. Then the DUP backed Conservatives voted to maintain the pay cap on the public sector. This was done to see off a Labour motion demanding it be lifted.

I make no comment on the morality of either proposal but my point is THIS; A socially conservative DUP is being dragged into a socially liberal Conservative agenda, like it or not. If I had suggested a month ago that the DUP would bloster liberalising abortion procedures and would keep the public sector in wage restraint, I suggest I would have been mocked. They go against the religious base on Abortion and against a big chuck of their public sector voters and it barely raises a whimper. Why? They have no opposition. The UUP is already quite socially liberal and the TUV does not have scale. So the reality IS the DUP can do what it wants and it will have to. This is a Faustian pact of sorts – I don’t really think the May regime will last, and in the meantime, we will see more of this odd political dance!

Something Lite

I saw this and had to share. A Hollywood Actor with Class. A rare find in these times. Hope you appreciate it as much as I did.

Bridges takes chilled approach in heated political rhetoric

Jeff Bridges played a president in “The Contender,” a political flick released nearly two decades ago in the wake of President Bill Clinton’s White House scandals.

But when it comes to critiquing the role of today’s real-life president, Bridges is a lot more laid back than some of his fellow celebrities. How would The Dude, the character he played in “The Big Lebowski,” handle things?

He likely wouldn’t be dangling a severed head in the likeness of President Donald Trump, as comedian Kathy Griffin came under fire for. Neither would The Dude joke about killing the president as Johnny Depp recently did. Griffin and Depp later apologized.

“Everybody has something different and unique to contribute to society and with different ways of doing it,” Bridges said in an interview Wednesday with The Associated Press, after taking part on a panel focused on child hunger at a meeting of the Western Governors Association in Whitefish, Montana.

“Some people will be blatantly out there talking about their disappointments and ridiculing the way President Trump is acting,” said Bridges, who supported Hillary Clinton in last year’s election.

“I’m rooting for him to do well by our country,” he said. “I’m rooting for him as a human being to do the cool thing,” Bridges said, as he pivoted back to his work against childhood hunger.

Bridges said he is especially concerned about proposed cuts to federal food assistance programs, which he said could harm the well-being of more children.

The actor has been an ambassador for “No Kid Hungry ” campaign, a national effort to address food insecurity among struggling families.

He founded the End Hunger Network in 1983 and became the national spokesman for No Kid Hungry in 2010.

Bridges splits his time between homes in Southern California and Montana. He has helped Montana Gov. Steve Bullock and the state’s first lady, Lisa Bullock, on expanding school breakfast programs.

“The health of our children is a wonderful compass that can tell us if our country is going the right direction,” he said. “That means we’re off course, so I’m rooting for the president to get on course.”

Just telling it like it is…

Swedish National Police Commissioner Dan Eliasson has begged the government for help as the number of no-go zones has risen from 55 to 61 in only one year.

Say what?

“Help us, help us,” Eliasson said at a press conference on the subject of the rising levels of crime and criminal networks in Sweden. Eliasson said there were at least 5,000 criminals divided into around 200 networks in Sweden operating in the now 61 no-go zones, many of which are heavily (COUGHS) migrant-populated, Göteborgs-Posten reports.

Police have said that they are monitoring 61 “no-go zones” but say that 23 of them are particularly vulnerable. Tynnered, a suburb in Gothenburg, is a new addition to the list after cases of car burnings and shootings, the most recent of which occurred earlier this month.

These ‘No Go’ zones are where Sweden has imported a hostile and alien culture. Islam is ascendent, it is unassimilated, and it is winning. Sweden is doomed. The maths are against it.
