THE Leftist seeks to crush fun and enjoyment wherever it’s found. This is a fact of life. Like a child squashing an insect, the Leftist finds a sick joy in killing happiness and levity. So when Danny Boyle was announced as the new James Bond director you knew that the gig was up.

We read that “Boyle will write Bond as a contemporary character with consideration to the Time’s Up campaign about sexual harassment in the workplace.” Give me strength. By the time it hits the screens, his Bond will be a weedy SJW in a pussy hat, riding a bicycle on his way to no-platforming the alt-Right. Do we require any further evidence for the decadence of commies? They are cultural cancer.

For the avoidance of doubt, Commander Bond (RN) is all man. He wears bespoke suits and Omega watches. He loves cars, food, booze and cigarettes, all in ample quantities. And he loves the chicks. There is only one Bond, and he’s no latte-sipping Guardianista moaning about Brexit and the struggle for intersectional feminism, whatever that is.

I wanted to explain my absence from these hallowed pages. You see, it is ALL Putin’s fault. Yes, I blame the Russians although in all fairness I have absolutely no evidence to back up my allegation. But let’s be clear, the likely reason for me not being here has to be my paymasters at Russia Today forcing me to do the bidding of the Russian dictator and making me stay absent.

Now then, I COULD suggest that my wife and I have been across in Iceland exploring the wonders of the land of lava and ice. I COULD claim that my wife has been unwell this past week so making my time very finite. But look, let’s be honest, I feel I must blame Moscow and I will be expelling any Russian commentators from ATW in a diplomatic shot across the bows. I think thermonuclear war may still be merely under consideration but it strikes me that by making unfounded accusations against Putin I am emulating the Iron Lady herself – Theresa May!

Retire with pension benefits at 50, they said.

Close Clinton ally gave $467,500 to wife of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe who was investigating Clinton

This Andrew McCabe was fired by AG Sessions last night, on the recommendation of the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility. Good job too. McCabe, like his erstwhile boss Comey, was corrupt.

They thought that they could run defence for Hillary. They thought that they could interfere with the election. They thought that they could lie under oath. And they thought that that it would all sink to the bottom of the swamp, away and out of sight. But Hillary Clinton lost.

While everyone else is playing politics, let’s also note the incredible benefits of being employed by the government. If Sessions had waited another two days McCabe would have been quids in with a fat pension. At fifty years of age. No wonder the country’s trillions of bucks in debt.

An American Hero

By Phantom On March 16th, 2018 at 9:48 pm

Exactly fifty years ago today, there was a particularly notable act of heroism during the Vietnam War. US Army helicopter pilot Hugh Thompson came upon the My Lai massacre as it was happening. He ordered his helicopter to land between the civilians and the US troops who were methodically killing them. He ordered the killings to stop, at risk of his own life. His men were prepared to fire on the bad US troops had they not backed down.

On the 30th anniversary of the massacre, Thompson went back to My Lai and met some of the people whose lives he had saved. “There were real good highs,” he told me, “and very low lows. One of the ladies that we had helped out that day came up to me and asked, ‘Why didn’t the people who committed these acts come back with you?’ And I was just devastated. And then she finished her sentence: she said, ‘So we could forgive them.’ I’m not man enough to do that. I’m sorry. I wish I was, but I won’t lie to anybody. I’m not that much of a man.

A Forgotten Hero Stopped the My Lai Massacre 50 years ago today

Americans perpetrated the My Lai massacre. An American stopped it. Hugh Thompson, who died too young in 2006, was a truly great American hero, in a terrible, entirely immoral war that should never have happened.

Because Friday night is the eve of The Big One

The final round of the Six Nations tomorrow sees Ireland visit Rugby HQ. All the pressure is on England, who have gone from being the next world champions to forgetting how to play and losing two on the spin. And all the pressure is on Ireland, who have a Grand Slam in their sights. I dunno, I might start drinking at lunchtime so the outcome either way is a blur.

What I do know is that if England wins then our blip is over and all is right in the world again, and if Ireland wins then I’m as Irish as my mother and one of my passports. Just so you know.

Have fun whatever you’re up to. As always, feel free to share your top sounds down below –

Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán issued a stark warning to the peoples of Europe on his country’s national day, telling them that “Europe is now under invasion”, and that “the empire of George Soros” is seeking to “break Hungary” for standing in its way.

“The situation, Dear Friends, is that there are those who want to take our country from us,” said the conservative heavyweight, whose Fidesz party is heading into national elections in April.[…]

“They want us to hand it over to foreigners coming from other continents, who do not speak our language, and who do not respect our culture, our laws or our way of life: people who want to replace what is ours with what is theirs.

“What they want is that henceforward it will increasingly not be we and our descendants who live here, but others. There is no exaggeration in what I have just said. Day by day we see the great European countries and nations losing their countries: little by little, from district to district and from city to city.

“The situation is that those who do not halt immigration at their borders are lost: slowly but surely they are consumed.

Who can doubt his words? Look around you. You don’t live in the country you were born in. You don’t live in the culture in which you were raised. We talk of revolutions elsewhere and in other times, but the people of the West are suffering a demographic and cultural revolution right now.

The tide must be reversed. It must be reversed to preserve our great civilisation and for the welfare of our peoples, those living and those to come. With great patriots like Viktor Orban we might yet do so.

Neocons can be totally insane.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is “overwhelmingly likely” to have ordered the nerve agent attack on an ex-spy and his daughter, Boris Johnson has said.

The foreign secretary said “our quarrel is with Putin’s Kremlin, and with his decision” over the Salisbury incident.

The Foreign Secretary has accused the President of Russia of committing attempted murder, in Britain, with a nerve agent. Publicly accused him. What a time to be alive. I know that Boris Johnson has more information than the rest of us, but I suspect he’s hoping he’s right and then thinking aloud.

Like the Trotskyists from which they derive, neocons are addicted to beating the world into their preferred shape. It’s why they’re forever leading us into stupid wars.

Never Again

By Phantom On March 15th, 2018 at 7:05 pm

From Dunblane Scotland, to Parkland Florida.

There was a mass shooting at a primary school in Scotland in 1996. The British people did something about it. There have been no similar incidents in the UK since.

Never Again.
