“TOO WHITE”…

By ATWadmin On August 28th, 2010

There was a little discussion the other day concerning my suggestion that White British people are increasingly strangers in their own land. I then read this story in the news today…

Cradling her daughter on her knee, Francesca Polini is every inch the loving, caring mother. She and her banker husband have good incomes, a spacious home and a close network of family and friends. But their hopes of parenthood were dashed when town hall bureaucrats said they were ‘too white’ to adopt a child.

How can this be?

“Their rejection meant a child in care was denied the chance of a happy, comfortable home and a stable future.

And it casts a spotlight on a politically correct adoption system which routinely blocks white couples from giving a home to a child in need.

Mrs Polini, 40, and her husband Rick offered to adopt a black or Asian child, who wait longer for adoption because of a national shortage of ethnic minority couples looking to adopt.

But the couple claim officials in Ealing, West London, told them there was a cap on white parents adopting black or Asian children.”

Discriminating against well-intentioned WHITE families in this way is obscene but that is what life in like in modern Britain and the liberal intelligentsia made it that way.

  1. I imagine certain people's heads will explode trying to figure out whether to oppose the political correctness here or support the racism.

So watch your step. It may get messy.

  2. Do these ethnic minority (temporarily) children wait longer for adoption because there are too few ethnic minority families looking to adopt OR because the breeding rates of non-Britons are so high that there is no possibility of surplus being absorbed in the 'community' of origin? From what I am now seeing up here, non-whites breed indiscriminately and whitey picks up the tab. The situation in England must be critical by now.

  3. A black kid with white parents…ask the kids themselves when grown up. It causes lots of problems down the line when they try to sort out their identity. It's a bit difficult for the average middle-class white colour to have any understanding of being Black and British. Yes, there is an overlap, but there are differences. That's the reason for the reluctance.

  4. It is a vast minefield of State and Council bureaucracy and political correctness in comparison to what it was when my mum was adopted. There were and remain bigger more pressing amendments to make to adoption as a whole than closing down Catholic adoption agencies. Equally there were and remain bigger issues to address for children's welfare than the Church focusing on abortion. Poor kids. They are using the same policy in Hackney. We looked into adoption this year. All too briefly for these exact reasons I'm sad to say.

  5. I'm sure I read some time ago that the government had banned the policy of apartheid in the adoption process. Why is this still allowed to happen ?

  6. Not to worry,

Madonna and Angelina Jolie are good examples that "too white" is a fallacy when it comes to the adoption of "children of colour"!

  7. A black kid with white parents…ask the kids themselves when grown up. It causes lots of problems down the line when they try to sort out their identity.

Same with kids with mixed parentage. Typically they embrace black 'culture', with all it's associated problems.

  8. Mixed race kids are inclined to be more influenced by their peer group. If they are from middleclass backgrounds they tend to remain more in the white community. One advantage they generally have is feeling comfortable in both communities. Coming myself from an anglo indian heritage (love those curries) married to someone from a eurasian background Britian is more mixed than it appears!

  9. The only thing that should matter is whether a child can be brought up by loving parents and develop into a rounded human being. The colour of the child or the parents should be completely irrelevant.

Just got back from Bradford. The best day out I've had there in years.

I guess you were at the UAF rally :)

  11. Colm

    Try again (LOL!).

  12. OK , how about the multi-faith multi-cultural let's all join hands in melting pot peace and Luuurve Rally ?

  13. Colm

You're a tease. That was yesterday. Was too busy clipping my toenails to attend that one!!

  14. Andrew

I heard some missiles were thrown at the rally. I'm sure the reporter mentioned something about very large toenail clippings being amongst them ;)

  15. Indeed they were and, contrary to what the media tells you, the first missiles were thrown by the UAF. As for my toenail clippings, they're too good to waste on that rabble.

Back to the point, though. Why shouldn't black parents adopt a white baby and vice-versa? This form of apartheid has no place in today's society. Suitable parents is what matters.

  16. Andrew

I agree with you, which is why I am baffled and annoyed that this adoption authority is allowed to practise such apartheid.
