THE TOXICITY OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS INDUSTRY…

By David Vance On June 1st, 2011

Wonder what you make of the news that a prisoner is being allowed to become a father from behind bars because of his “human rights.”

The inmate’s demand for artificial insemination with his partner was approved by our dripping wet liberal  Justice Secretary Kenneth Clarke earlier this year. It is thought the treatment, which can cost up to £2,000 a time, is being paid for by the NHS. The decision was based on the  prisoner’s ‘right to family life’ under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act. The case follows that of burglar Wayne Bishop who was let out of jail last week so he could look after his children, using the same article.

So, WE are paying through our taxes for this prisoner to propagate his family line!

I agree with Tory MP Douglas Carswellwho says: ‘What’s the point of having a criminal justice system that locks people up if they end up with the same rights as others? ‘It’s another step towards an insane world where criminals have more rights than the rest of us.’

That “insane world” Carswell talks about is the utopia that liberals advocate through their ludicrous Human Rights Act. The UK must remove itself from the creeping toxicity of that law before we find criminals DO have more rights than the rest of us.

  1. Didn’t a thug burglar just get out of chokey because of the HR act? Being locked up would impair his right to a family life. From that viewpoint this stupidity is just forward planning so this one has a future get out of jail free card. Truly the lunatics are running the asylum.

  2. So let’s get this straight: a criminal’s “human right” extends to plundering our wealth at the point of a gun and sequestrating other people’s time and knowledge. We must pay and serve, because a criminal can sequester what is ours. It is an inviolable “human right”.

Can we go back to governing ourselves again?

Cameron once promised to repeal the Human Rights Act. Can some Tory drones who fell for this piffle tell how that’s going? I recall a few in here stating at the time the Tories under Cameron would never repeal it, so we cannot say were all fell for it.

Can those Tory drones also tell us what they think of K. Clarke approving of this and how many times they will give the Tories “one last chance”?

Peter Hitchens stated recently “Wherever there’s trouble, you’ll find Human Rights”

    How right he was.

It would be easier and more sensible to listen to patriots and (genuine) conservatives in the first place, and agree that we governed ourselves quite well enough before polluting our customs and traditions with inferior foreign creeds and ideologies.

  3. Clarke is committing a crime by
    masquerading as a responsible politician…
    “Lock him up” says I.
If he’s in there long enough,
maybe some nice con will take a shine to him
    and try for a baby.
    ….or something.
    ;)

  4. TYPICAL.

Bleeding-heart Brits are so naive and believe that everyone in society are equally deserving of everything under he auspices of “human rights are deserved not earned”.

Come on Asteroid, do your duty!

  5. Pete Moore’s contention is right. For years and years we have governed ourselves quite well but since we became involved in the EU, European Law, Foreign Culture and what have you we seem to have been turned upside down and, inspite of promises to the contrary, our government has done nothing about it. Is this due to the Liberal Democratic segment of the Coalition or to the Conservative? I know what I think but also David C. is making a reputation for himself regarding saying one thing and then doing nothing. There are far more conservatives who hate the Human Rights debacle than there are Liberals who love it. David C. will soon find himself in real trouble if he is not careful. He is trampling on our hopes and beliefs.
