DHIMMITUDE

By David Vance On February 21st, 2012

Pathetic;

The US commander of Nato troops in Afghanistan has apologised over reports that foreign troops had “improperly disposed” of copies of the Koran. In a statement General John R Allen ordered a full investigation. “When we learned of these actions, we immediately intervened and stopped them,” he said. Reports of the alleged Koran burning have led to a large protest outside the US air base at Bagram outside Kabul.

WHY are we still in this accursed country?

  1. Yup,

You morons keep kissin the Islamic asses.

That’s exactly what they want. They know they’re in control and they’re laughing all the way to the mosque.

Like little kids with spineless liberal parents all the unevolved, infantile brats have to do is throw a tantrum and mommy & daddy cringe and beg forgiveness.

The Muslims are playing the Political Correct mob like a well tuned piano and anyone who utters a word of disagreement is labelled……….RAAAAAAAAAAAAACIST!

  2. you know it’s sad, the islamists are paralleling the left and now have a set of stock stories that when things get slow they roll out.

    Islamist
    They’ve offended the Koran/Mohamed

    leftist
They’re going to starve the Old/children

  3. David,

Presumably you wouldn’t be at all insulted if Afghans invaded Norn Iron, killed thousands of people, and burned copies of the Bible?

  4. Isn’t this fuss over paper bizarre. Suppose I wrote verses from the Koran over a copy of Hustler magazine. Does the Hustler Magazine suddenly become Holy? Will they kill to make sure the nude shots are fully displayed to all?

Said it before we need to figure a way to get strippers , bacon butties, hookers and booze and these clods all in the same room at the same time, and get them properly blitzed…probably with 500 lb GP bombs.

    Religious Retards…the lot of them.

PS If I was to invade ‘Northern Iron’ in my land going Missouri Class Battleship …would anyone notice?

  5. Petr
The islamist agenda that has been waging the war against the west and all non Islamists, has done so with the proclaimed goal of either killing or subjugating all who do not bow down to Allah/Mohamed. So your what if is their actual goal.

    you dhimmi

  6. It’s a simple question, Troll. It was directed to David but feel free to answer it yourself. I’m sure your answer will be instructive!

  7. “Why are we still in this accursed country?”

It’s not accursed at all: it is blessed, blessed with huge and increasing opium crops which were a mere 165 tons in 2001 but, thanks to US/Britsh intervention and protection, have increased to 5,400 tons and they provide British junkies with 90% of their consumption. That’s why we’re there.

  8. It sounds like General John R Allen is aware that the locals might go nuts at this kind of thing and is trying to calm tempers. Yes, if the alternative is a suicide bombing or another Afghan soldier shooting up our soldiers then it might be a sensible thing to do.

I know it’s a tough job out there, and I understand that shouting “semper fi” makes dicks feel bigger when some morons in uniform piss on corpses or born a koran, but as we saw a few weeks ago actions have consequences.

However tough the job is, it doesn’t require ill-disciplined idiots to risk the lives of their comrades by pissing on anyone or burning anything. No, that’s not being a dhimmi, it’s being a sensible, trained, disciplined soldier.

Anyone caught burning a koran ought to be beasted severely.

  9. ‘beasted’ ?

Is that a Flashmanism Pete ?

  10. Colm -

Only if Flashy was in charge of the beasting.

  11. Allan – I was poised to make that exact point. Well said.

  12. Interesting responses and non-responses.

  13. I did answer you Petr, but obviously you didn’t understand the answer

  14. Troll,

Would you be at all insulted if Afghans invaded the US, killed thousands of people, and burned copies of the Bible?

    Yes or no?

  15. no

    Why would I be insulted?

You are being a little narrow by saying Afghans, we aren’t fighting the Afghans we are fighting the Islamic extremists, and I do believe they killed 3000 people on 9/11. So they’ve already done worse than burn some books

  16. lol No? Really?

Tell the Afghans and indeed Pakistani civilians who’ve had family members blown to bits that you’re fighting the Taliban, I’m sure it’ll be of great comfort.

  17. “we aren’t fighting the Afghans we are fighting the Islamic extremists, and I do believe they killed 3000 people on 9/11″

Well, that’s a big improvement over the Troll who just a few weeks ago was saying everyone in the country except US miliary are evil .

Why, next thing we’ll know is that you’ve started going to church again.

  18. And Noel, he also wouldn’t object to an Afghan invasion of the US with mass killing and Bible burning thrown in. Who’d have thunk it?!

  19. So if these religious retards are so very observant, I await the introduction of the new Osprey Mk5000 body armour for our troops. It has verses from the Koran embroidered all over it.

May I suggest we dip all our munitions in bacon fat before use? Purely for lubrication you understand.

  20. “So if these religious retards…”

Ah, that’s very uncharitable towards Troll! :)

  21. Noel find the statement where I declared ALL afghans as evil, and cut and paste it here. or admit above other things that you just lied.

    Petr

Tell the Afghans and indeed Pakistani civilians who’ve had family members blown to bits that you’re fighting the Taliban, I’m sure it’ll be of great comfort.

LOL… you see that’s why you people can’t be depended on to defend yourselves let alone anyone else.

If so innocent afghani or an innocent paki gets killed… oh boo hoo.

Let me reiterate the Philosophy of and the consequences of war with the United States. The US does not like war, the citizens don’t want to fight wars, we want to barbeque, drink, and make money. The best way to prevent war is to make the consequences of war so horrible that the other side is afraid to start it.

If someone uses there hands against you you use a nightstick, if they pull a gun or a knife, you punch their ticket, right then and there. (that’s an old cop metaphor) but it applies.

If the enemy kills one of yours you kill 1000 of his, if you throw a grenade we mortar a whole village, The opposing reaction to every action taken against us shall be answered a thousand fold in return.

Most civilized people find the idea that if one of them killing one of us could result in all of them being killed in response as an unacceptable situation. It is the american defense policy always has been.

Do I care that a few Afghanis and Pakis died that shouldn’t have NO! They should have kept their countrymen in line and prevented them from causing us a reason to have to come there and sort out the way they think. And yes, I said the way they think.

The reason being one thought better be kept in the forefront of everyone’s mind. When we show up a lot of you are going to die, so don’t cause us to show up.

  22. Troll

Please don’t pretend to speak for the American people.

    I’m beggin’ you

  23. Glad to see you’re staying true to your country’s genocidal roots. Good for you, Troll.

  24. ;)

  25. remember the best war campaign ever was Shermans march to the sea

  26. Troll….send in the B52′s Operation Arclight it’s the only language these retards understand. Give them the chance to meet allah in person.

  27. we had a saying in the air force, “Nuke em till they glow”….

just kidding, I know some of you will now say I called for nuclear war……

  28. Most civilized people find the idea that if one of them killing one of us could result in all of them being killed in response as an unacceptable situation. It is the american defense policy always has been.

Can I suggest you read FM 3-24 Counterinsurgency, published Dec 2006. Or visit http://usacac.army.mil/cac2/coin/KC.asp which will explain how the US army fights a counterinsurgency.

So for example: Unsuccessful COIN Practices: “Overemphasize killing and capturing the enemy rather than securing and engaging the populace.” “Conduct large-scale operations as the norm.”

Successful COIN Practices: “Focus on population, its needs and security”, “Isolate insurgents from the population”, “Provide amnesty and rehabilitation for those willing to support the new government.”

  29. Troll -

“remember the best war campaign ever was Shermans march to the sea”

Well, it wasn’t the best campaign by a long way, though a Wehrmacht or Red Army General would have been proud of it.

Since there’s a good chance you don’t know, it was a scorched earth campaign in which his army pillaged, plundered, raped, and murdered civilians as it marched through Georgia in the face of little military opposition.

If the Confederates had won, they would have been wholly justified in hanging Lincoln and Sherman for the outrageous war crimes they committed against non-combatants.

  30. Geoff

your looking at the the long term and quoting the rules for the long term. Initial phase operations or one up operations don’t use those rules.

The rules you quote were working quite well in Iraq until Obama changed them, same goes with Afghanistan. Like I said though, Obama changed those long term rules which is why things in one theater have been walked away from, and we have lost ground in the second theater.

Initial phases however have always been done just the opposite.

    PM
I know exactly what Shermans March was, and what it achieved. It ripped the heart out of the confederacy, and without doing it the war would have lasted longer and more would have died.

A modern day equivalent should be used in egypt. Right now they are holding American hostages. Bomb the largest Pyramid at Giza, tell them the Sphinx is next. If they still don’t comply blow up their fresh water pumping stations, when a few thousand have been reclaimed by the desert we’ll see if they want hostages then.

You see things like Shock and Awe, D-Day, the Fire bombing of Tokyo or Berlin, even the dropping of the atom bomb that’s how you get people to stop fighting.

Just use the a bomb example, we dropped one, told them to surrender they said NO, we dropped the next one, they surrendered.

The punishment must always be great enough that the thought of attacking you is considered insane.

  31. Troll -

Sherman’s was an act of total war and demented aggression against civilians. He is a war criminal who ought to have been hanged. It’s to America’s shame it mythologises a man who would have been judged at Nuremburg in other circumstances.

The American detainees in Egypt are foreign agigators and political saboteurs. Clearly they are a threat to Egyptian national security and ought to be dealt with harshly.

Breaking News: Shock and Awe, D-day, The Bombing of Tokyo and the first atomic bomb did not stop any fighting.

Yes, I can imagine the average GOP moron cheering if the USAF destroyed the pyramids and the Sphinx.

  32. “You see things like Shock and Awe, that’s how you get people to stop fighting.”

Troll, the fighting in Iraq only really started after “Shock and Awe” was finished.

Maybe they didn’t shock or awe enough?

  33. really the dropping of the bomb on the Japanese didn’t bring them to the surrender table?

Well there ya go, that explains everything with your view of reality….lol

Noel please pay attention I know it’s hard for you to keep up, but you have to try. ask the other drunk on the floor next to you to explain things. We have faith honey, some day you’ll get it.

  34. Troll -

Hitch your skirts and come back.

Shock and Awe, D-day, The Bombing of Tokyo (and you namechecked Berlin, but may have been thinking of Hamburg and Dresden) did not bring an end to fighting, did they?

  35. T get back to the original point – Why is it that when it is revealed that when Americans or other foreigners have burned or ‘disrespectfully’ handled a copy of the Koran, there are mass demonstrations and fury from many Muslims , but the more frequesnt instances of terrorists carrying out the far more sacrilegous bombings of crowded Mosques in whuch scores of worshippers will be killed and maimed and indeed undoubtesly many copies of the Koran will be destroyed barely registers a murmur of protest.

  36. because Colm The Islamic terrorists are the GOOD guys, it’s the Americans that are the BAD guys. my god you know that

  37. ahh but pete they were operations to break the will, and they worked

(actually I was thinking Dresden, thanks)

  38. Colm, it’s a common political phenomenon:
when someone close to you, or you yourself, does something to you or your kin or your property – that’s not so bad,
but when it’s someone from outside – especially someone quite foreign and who you suspect looks down on your anyway – does the same thing, you are up in arms.

    There are countless examples:
in NI, the IRA could get away will killing scores in Nationalist areas, and pretty soon everything would be forgotten, but when Loyalists, or even worse the BA, did the same or less, the streets would be enflamed with rage and calls for revenge.

A Yank can criticise his country, but they go all funny if some outsider does the same, and they are like other people in this. A Brit can call a Brit “a Brit”, a black a black “a nigger”, (if you get my syntax).

Only we Irish can sustain all kinds of unmerciful slights and slurs from folks from America, England to Yorkshire, while still retaining our serenity and composure.

  39. Noel, you were doing great and were actually making sense and being honest until you threw this turd of a lie at the end

Only we Irish can sustain all kinds of unmerciful slights and slurs from folks from America, England to Yorkshire, while still retaining our serenity and composure.

    lol

  40. Noel

Surely it’s the wonderfull tributes from the likes of EDDIE and TROLL that keep your Irish eyes smiling ;)

  41. rules for the long term
The US has been in Afghanistan since 2001 — how much longer term do you want?

You see things like Shock and Awe, D-Day, the Fire bombing of Tokyo or Berlin, even the dropping of the atom bomb that’s how you get people to stop fighting.

If you are fighting total war, then yes.

If you are fighting counter-insurgency operations, no.

    DId your read the references?

  42. Troll only believes in total war. For him there is no other kind.

  43. “you were doing great and were actually making sense and being honest until you threw this turd of a lie at the end”

Troll, I thought everone would be able to see that that was strictly tongue in cheek.

    Oh well.

Tell me, who do you normally get to explain jokes to you?

  44. Hey, Noel. :)

  45. Geoff the rules you quoted were being followed in Afghanistan and Iraq until Obama stopped following them. Did you understand that? I guess not.

We are in a total war, at least according to the islamists

  46. We are in a total war, at least according to the islamists

No you are not. It is a counter insurgency. You do understand the difference, don’t you? I only ask because your responses suggest you don’t understand what a counter insurgency is. You don’t carpet bomb in COIN ops. It is about winning hearts and minds. Hard to do that from 20,000 ft

  47. PS Patty

I would be interested to see your repsonse to Mahons list of left wing achievements on your Phonesis 2.0 thread.

  48. Colm: I dont have the time – there is so much in his comment – so many premises to dispute – and I don’t have the time – I’m running out right now. Again. Sorry I can’t entertain you. :)

but here’s a thought — why don’t YOU think really carefully and thoroughly about Centralized Bureaucratic government structures and come up with some rationale as to why they are superior to Constitutional Decentralized Individual Empowering government structures.

I will give YOU an assignment – if you dare – and I’ll come back tonight to see how you did:

exam question: imagine you are the CEO of a large widget company. You have 1400 employees of varying skill sets, ambition and experience. You need to somehow manage this company. Do you:

    1. write a thousand page manual for each job description detailing as much as possible what the job entails and how best to do it.

    2. set broad goals and let the employees figure out for themselves how best to do their jobs in order to reach the goals you set.

    ???

  49. Patty

I have a very simple answer. Why does it need to be all 1 or all 2. It can be 1 for some, 2 for others and as many variants in between depending on the individual aptitudes job requirements and judgement on what will work best for each employee. It doesn’t have to be Black or White only.

  50. oh god I don’t want to play semantics Geoff. I do know the differences probably better than you.

The only one talking about a coin operation is you. The destruction of the Nation of Iran is NOT a coin mission. It will not even be a battlefront like Iraq or Afghanistan. If anything if I wanted to make comparisons to a theater of operation the closest would be Pakistan.

Irans destruction will take place along these lines. Something will trigger an initial event. Either the Jews, the Persians, or the Yanks will do something that causes the first shots.

After the first shots, the bombing campaign will begin in earnest, there are 5 air wings in striking and sorti distance. There will be one week where the US eliminates Irans offensive and defensive capabilities, and hitting the nuke sites.

After the first week it will pause. What happens from that point it will go one of two ways Iranians move to change their regime or 5 more weeks of bombing and then the broken pieces are handed off to the UN and the Arab League.

This will not be a heart and minds operation, this will be an I’m gonna burn down your damn huts operation. The only American forces on ground in country will be spec ops spotters.

    Whole thing over 2 months.

  51. oh and the US has spent the last six months mass producing cruise missiles for that initial barrage

  52. This thread is about Afghanistan, not Iran.

  53. You do live in a fantasy world Troll

  54. Patty ?

  55. Yeah but the woman in this fantasy is great… I’ll keep having it

  56. You have fantasies about Patty ? I thought that was Mahons perogative on this site :)

  57. Just waiting for Patty

  58. you know there is only one woman in my life

  59. Pinky ? ;)

  60. aaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhh
