THAT MULTICULTURAL RICHNESS…

By David Vance On April 22nd, 2012

If one swallows the lie that all cultures are equal then surely there can be no protest from leftists about this?

As many as 100,000 women in Britain have undergone female genital mutilations with medics in the UK offering to carry out the illegal procedure on girls as young as 10, it has been reported. The practice, which involves the surgical removal of external genitalia and in some cases the stitching of the vaginal opening, is illegal in Britain and carries up to a 14 year prison sentence. It is also against the law to arrange FGM. Known as “cutting”, the procedure is traditionally carried out for cultural reasons and is widespread across Africa.

The primitivism is only exceeded by the savagery. There is another aspect of this which the Sunday Telegraph ignores. Can you guess what it is? Yes, that’s right – Islam.

  1. If you are as boringly moralistic, or naive; or out of touch; or as gratefully English as I am:
then of course you believe as I do,
that men and women are equal in value, different in role, and indispensable to each other as (the Christian concept of) God intended.
To mutilate a female, when Christianity teaches us that they should be respected, protected and cherished, is to say that Barbarism is preferable to Christianity.
And to say that is to make a mockery of our whole history as a people.

  2. David,

Glad you blogged this. I alluded to it on your Sentamu thread, having read about it in The Sunday Times.

It can’t be discussed enough. It’s barbarous in the extreme. Moreover, I don’t follow the reasoning, if any, behind it—it’s of no benefit to the sexual partner of the victim. (I speak from experience.)

It can carry a 14-year prison sentence for the perpetrator. So why hasn’t there been a single conviction?

I quote Warie Dirie, a former model who was mutilated as a child and is now a UN ambassador for the abolition of FGM:

If a white girl is abused, the police come and break down the door. If a black girl is mutilated, nobody takes care of her. This is what I call racism.

And here’s Kit Malthouse, London’s deputy mayor:

If hundreds of young girls were appearing in London with their little fingers snipped off, government, police and society would mobilize to catch, convict and imprison the perpetrators. We must now do the same for FGM even if that means paying less attention to so-called cultural sensitivities.

  3. “If a white girl is abused, the police come and break down the door. If a black girl is mutilated, nobody takes care of her. This is what I call racism.”

Which is garbage! Our politicians and sociologists are TERRIFIED of imposing white Christian values on other cultures, because they are AFRAID of appearing elitist or judgmental.
After all, if you have assumed the assumed position that ALL cultures are of equal value, you can hardly then judge or condemn the cultural practices of non British peoples.
    That’s not racism, that’s stupidity.

  4. Women are the cup of life that god pours the misery of the world into, but in subjects like this…. The cup done runeth over

  5. Troll,
women are the birthers and the givers of love, actually the civilizers.

  6. Oh I agree, the first part of my statement is the bastardization of a saying I can’t remember the exact wording to.

  7. Troll,
Yeah, it’s in there somewhere.. ;)

  8. I don’t look at the world through right-colored or left-colored glasses and don’t see why or how this issue should be premised on a right or left basis. It’s wrong, wrong, wrong. About 10 years ago, I participated in a community leadership program [oh-oh, that sounds a lot like community organizing ;-P] that was organized by self-identified socialists with the lofty goal of ending sexual abuse in five generations. There were several subgroups focused on various sexual abuse issues (from trafficking to cults to kiddie porn to the more (unfortunately) usual rapes and sexual assaults. One of the leaders was a woman from Kenya. I believe she was from the Kikuyu (sp?) tribe — non-Muslim — and despite a national ban, FGM was still practiced there and in other parts of the world. She spoke about girls who were being brought out of the country to have this done. So it seems…the practice is still widespread. Who are the medics performing this procedure? Are they doing it for money or are they members of the same ‘tribe’ and doing it at the behest of the ‘elders’? For the record, for those of us on the ground who are trying to end sexual abuse…we come from both sides of the divide but don’t see sexual abuse as a dividing issue. There’s more to be said and if I can, I’ll come back to this.

  9. IF a corrupt doctor performs the practice, does he lose he lose his license to practice medicine?

    Jail time?

  10. mairin2,
I agree with your basic premise
“don’t see why or how this issue should be premised on a right or left basis. It’s wrong, wrong, wrong. ”
but the fact is that there are those who might have more sympathy with with the Maquis De Sade’s view, (What is, is right.)
    http://www.cmf.org.uk/publications/content.asp?context=article&id=2014

Therefore as women are physically weaker, it is right to dominate/abuse them. Islam for instance believes that women are inferior to men. Even some Jews have a prayer
“I thank Thee that Thou hast not me a woman….”
    http://www.myjewishlearning.com/texts/Liturgy_and_Prayers/Siddur_Prayer_Book/Preliminary_Readings/Who_Has_Not_Made_Me_a_Woman.shtml

It’s not just that something is right or wrong, it’s on what basis do you decide something is right or wrong? It’s either completely arbitary, or it’s imposed by force.

  11. “It’s either completely arbitary, or it’s imposed by force.”
    …I left out ‘reason’!

  12. It is primitive and savage, and must not be allowed in any civilised society.

    Just like circumcision.

  13. Circumcision is fine. It has benefits.

Everything in life does not have to be a namby pamby moral equivalence

  14. A disfigured prick has no more or less benefits than a disfigured vagina.

There is no namby pambiness about it. You are either for genital mutilation or against it.

  15. Blogger of Indeterminate or Unmarried Parentage,
Male circumcision is part of God’s covenant with those pesky Jews, which Allan claims to have died out and been replaced by “pseudoJews” of European stock.
I have yet to meet (anywhere ;)) a circumcised male whose enjoyment of sexual intercourse (bonking to you) has been spoilt by the lack of a foreskin.
Indeed I am a circumcised male, and I can never recall having thought at the moment of climactic bliss,
“This would be sooooooo much be-ett-eeeeeer if I still had my foreskiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!”

  16. A8–Before my life in the wonderful world of finance I was a secial education teacher…my first teaching job was with a residential school for orthodox (many hasidic) Jewish (multipidisabled) children. My students were mostly autistic (a good number had been abused). The head of the school was a rabbi and well-known psychologist. He taught me lots about the Jewish tradition and there was lots to love. One of the things I balked at at refused to participate in was helping my male students (limited verbal skills) with their prayers. Guess what A8—they have the same morning prayer as Muslim men:
    ——————————————————————————–

This is a fact. I looked it up in my little Sedur (Jewish prayer book).

    The exact prayer is this:

“Blessed are you, Hashem, King of the Universe, for not having made me a Gentile.”

“Blessed are you, Hashem, King of the Universe, for not having made me a slave.”

Blessed are you, Hashem, King of the Universe, for not having made me a woman.”

This prayer is said every morning by millions of Jews around the world.

  17. The idea of female circumcision is to lessen/prevent a female’s enjoyment of the sexual act, so she is less likely to stray….
    That is abuse.

  18. sorry…didn’t mean to hit send…was in the process of editing…too busy to participate in ATW…best not to try right now.

  19. Agit8ted

““This would be sooooooo much be-ett-eeeeeer if I still had my foreskiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!””

I have no doubt it would. But as long as you’re content, I wouldn’t begrudge you your lack of natural lubrication.

Who knows, maybe these girls will feel the same as you when they reach maturity? Who needs those pesky labia, right?

Maybe we’re all jumping the gun on the whole genial mutilation issue. Right?

  20. “The idea of female circumcision is to lessen/prevent a female’s enjoyment of the sexual act, so she is less likely to stray….
    That is abuse.”

This is actually quite a good point. There is something to be said for the intent behind the act.

  21. Mairin2
    Oh my Goodness!
My wife and I met at a Jewish residential home for children and adults with learning difficulties. We loved it too.
But it was a secular home.
And the Jews weren’t the original Jews.
They were European copies of original Jews….

    Right, so; to your prayer.
I don’t know how many Jews around the world pray this, but as a non Jew I have often
(in fact monthly!) and at childbirth times, thanked God that I am not a woman.

This is where you go back (should you want to) and look at what the Old and New Testaments actually say. I have read the whole thing quite a few times now, and have never seen a verse where God has said He dislikes/despises women (which would be illogical anyway), or has told men to mistreat or abuse them.
    In fact,
    http://avirtuouswoman.org/10-virtues-of-the-proverbs-31-woman/
Proverbs chapter 31 is mainly about women. Eve was created especially as a helpmeet,
Deborah was a leader of Israel, and Miriam the sister of Moses and Aaron was a leader of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt..
Child abuse occurs everywhere, as you will know Mairin.

  22. “This is actually quite a good point. There is something to be said for the intent behind the act.”

    Sicko.

  23. Oh for god’s sake, I meant it was worth noting, not that it was a good thing you buffoon.

  24. Badly phrased then.It read like you thought it was a good idea that women be circumcised.
If I read it differently from your intention, I apologise.

  25. LOL I know it wasn’t phrased very well. I thought the context would be enough to clarify.

    No worries :)

  26. “But as long as you’re content, I wouldn’t begrudge you your lack of natural lubrication.”

I have never known anything else, and no woman has ever made an issue (geddit?) of it.
Besides I wasn’t circumcised in order to deny me anything.
Female circumcision/subjection/exploitation/forced marriage/honour killings are all barbaric. I don’t care who said otherwise.

  27. They are, truely barbaric.

I just disagree with such a thing done to a child, a child cannot consent.

I know some cut guys who think it’s fine, sing it’s praises even. But you must be aware that it’s not always smooth sailing, and terrible damage has been done. Think of those poor bastards … and they never had a choice.

  28. Yep,
As I recall though, I was about 7-8 when for some strange reason my willy swelled up like a balloon and my parents – afraid perhaps that their precious Agit8ed Junior might float off into the ether, took me to the hospital..
I do remember that the swelling experience was extremely painful, and the circumcision itself was botched.
I have had to wear y-fronts with an extra large pouch ever since… ;)

  29. “Circumcision is fine. It has benefits.”

Do you think that the sicko pervert in some desert who came up this this mutilation had any concept of it’s medical benefits?

By that reasoning, if female circumcision stops the bitches from straying then go for it!

  30. Yeeesh! Though something similar happened to me as a kid, re the swelling. Only in my case it was a bee sting :O .. of all places.

Okay I think we’ve shared quite enough now, lol

  31. “sicko male pervert” that is. I can’t see any woman coming up the the idea of circumcision.

  32. EB
(if you’re going to stick around please change your pseudonym. I refuse to call anyone a bastard..)
Well at least my swelling has resulted in me walking with somewhat of a swagger. You want to see shoppers jumping out of the way when I run….. :)

  33. From what I read in the “Sunday Times” Police have not prosecuted a single case.

    Shit scared Dhimmis all!

    Come on Asteroid!!!!!

  34. Agit8ed,

Sounds as if you had a painful experience. Thanks to my forward looking parents and a sympathetic doctor I had the “chop” when I was a few weeks old and I don’t remember a bloody (pun) thing!

Now I can access the “cheese factory” on a daily basis and remove the curd without a problem.

Circumcision is hygienic and the ladies in my life have all rated me and my joy stick Triple-A (AAA).

Heck that’s a lot higher rating than the financial market has given the Irish economy even if the country’s leaders, bankers and developers have “screwed” millions of ordinary people.

  35. LOL, Eddie. It was a bit of a cock-up, I must admit.

  36. Eddie

Surely when they are referring to your ‘joystick’ as a AAA they are simply comparing it in size to those little triple A batteries ;)

  37. Eddie,

Thanks for sharing that. No doubt those 1000,000 mutilated and suffering women will appreciate your empathy.

  38. Should have been 100,000 of course. But 1 million wouldn’t even come close to the number of victims worldwide :(

  39. Dear Richard, (are you related by any chance to the Slick-Willie Clinton whose circumcised penis penetrated Ms. Lewinski’s oral cavity?)

No offence meant to the 100,000. However, what happened to me happened 70 years ago and although I don’t remember a thing I am personally grateful to Mom and dad. What has happened since to women all over the Muslim world must be laid at the feet of ALL Muslim MALES. As a former Christian, now a devout Atheist I do not fall into the guilty category.

My real empathy is for the 1% of Americans who worked hard, saved their money and are now very well off. Obama and his fellow Socialists-anarchists are attacking them for no other reason but to ignite a culture war instead of encouraging entrepreneurship and individual responsibility for their destinies.

PS:Colm, very clever of you to observe my male member. Do you make those observations a habit?

  40. Eddie,

No one’s blaming you for FGM, you silly man. I’m simply drawing attention to your seeming insensitivity to the agonies endured by its victims. In other words: your schoolboy lavatory humour is misplaced in this thread.

You’re 70?! Clearly they generalized when they told me that with age cometh wisdom :(

  41. In fairness, Richard, the idea of female genital mutilisation is so remote and culturally foreign to us that there’s no harm in someone laughing at himself on the thread.

Obviously everyone here thinks the practice is sadistic and hopes it will soon die out.

  42. Noel,

    In fairness, you’re indulging Eddie.

How far are you prepared to go with this? The present topic concerns a barbarous abuse of women and their bodies. What if the topic were child sex-abuse, would you condone it if Eddie were to joke about, say, the size of a little boy’s willy compared to his?

  43. Slow down, Richard. Eddie – as far as I understood him, but I don’t read his comments carefull – wasn’t joking about any victims, only about himself.

  44. Richard,

EDDIE enjoys being rude and crude. You are encouraging him!

  45. Obviously everyone here thinks the practice is sadistic and hopes it will soon die out.

I think that this is unfortunately wrong on possibly two points.

One, I don’t think that everyone even here is opposed to it. Any ” whataboutry ” comparison of this with circumcision is essentially a pro-FGM comment. It puts mutilation on the same field as a benign and minor practice.

Second, there is little to reason to think that it will die out and much reason to think that it will increase. Unless you’re completely slamming the door to immigration from backwards places where mutilation of girls is the norm.

  46. Noel,

Whether Eddie jokes about himself or not, this is neither the time nor place.

If, as you said earlier, everybody on this thread disapproves of FGM then we can do something about it. Let me suggest you join this campaign for starters: http://www.endfgm.eu/en/get-involved/what-can-you-do

  47. Phantom,

Well said. Our comments crossed in the mail.

  48. “there is little to reason to think that it will die out and much reason to think that it will increase. Unless you’re completely slamming the door to immigration from backwards places”

Phantom, I don’t see how changing immigration management will alter whether it is carried out, but only where. In fact, I’d say people who do such things are probably will do it more in their home countries where tradition and social pressure is much stronger and policing much weaker.

I believe that – short of a total economic and political breakdown in the developed world – the situation in the undeveloped world in terms of education and social responsibility will gradually improve and this and other barbaric practices will die out.

I think it’s totally absurd to say that equating FGM with male circumcision is the same as a pro-FGM comment!! The idea is illogical and bizarre, and the only one who did make the comparision was EB, and he roundly condemned the practice. Could it be you’re a bit too touchy about anything that could be considered anti-Jewish?

I agree with you BTW that male circumcision, when performed on infants, almost always does no harm and very often does a lot of good.

  49. I’m not bringing Jewishness into this at all.

I just find it wildly OTT to compare the two.

It’s like comparing beheading with hair-cutting.

  50. “It’s like comparing beheading with hair-cutting.” – That’s good.

  51. “Any ” whataboutry ” comparison of this with circumcision is essentially a pro-FGM comment.”

I agree Noel, a bizarre comment.

“I just find it wildly OTT to compare the two.”

Both are unnecessary mutilations of the external genitalia (except circumcision in certain circumstances) and are therefore comparable in nature if not degree. What is OTT is your “whataboutry” comment!

  52. “I agree with you BTW that male circumcision, when performed on infants, almost always does no harm and very often does a lot of good.”

The absolute risk of urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases and penile cancer associated with the uncircumcised male is extremely low (<1%) and does not justify circumcision on medical grounds. Circumcision itself has it's associated risks.

    In Britain, (

  53. Contd:

In Britain, the docking (shortening) of puppy dog’s tails is illegal. I believe that there is greater evidence for this (in certain breeds anyway)than for circumcision.

If it wasn’t for religious sensitivities, unnecessary would also be banned.

  54. unnecessary circumcisions, that is!

  55. The Emperor of Japan advertises for a new bodygaurd. Three swordsmen apply: one is Japanese, one is Chinese, and one is Jewish.

To test him, the Emperor lets a fly loose in the room and tells the Chinese swordsman to kill it. The swordsman sweeps down his blade and chops the fly in two.

The Japanese swordsman is given the same test. He swings his sword twice and manages to cut the fly into quarters before it hits the ground.

The Jewish swordsman is then given a fly. He chases it around the room, swings his sword a few times, then sits down with the fly buzzing around his head.

“Why have you stopped?” ask the Emperor. “The fly is still alive.” “Yes,” replies the Jewish swordsman. “But now it’s circumcised.”

( stolen from some website )

  56. “The absolute risk of urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases and penile cancer associated with the uncircumcised male is extremely low ”

Oh, typical Irishman, never thinking of the woman! :)

There is an added risk for women partners of uncircumcised men getting cervical cancer, I believe. Sounds plausible, and empirical studies have borne this out.

  57. “I don’t think that everyone even here is opposed to it. Any ” whataboutry ” comparison of this with circumcision is essentially a pro-FGM comment.”

Wildly outrageous statement, that. Get a grip man.

If the procedure was so benign, would the Canadian Paediatric Society, British Medical Association, Royal Dutch Medical Association and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians all generally recommend avoiding it?

    It is wholly unnecessary.

Besides, I had already conceded to Agit8ed yesterday that the reasons for performing the two were certainly to be considered, and I do agree that the adverse effects on females does normally eclipse that of circumcision.

But to seriously suggest that my view makes me Pro-FGM… bad form.

When you claim someone is being “wildly OTT“, is it usual for you to jump right on that bandwagon?

  58. “There is an added risk for women partners of uncircumcised men getting cervical cancer, I believe. Sounds plausible, and empirical studies have borne this out.”

Sorry, to be clear, when I refer to sexually transmitted diseases above I am also referring to the cervical cancer risk. The absolute risk is very low and does not justify circumcision on medical grounds.

  60. Allan,
Agit8ed not only likes Jews, he feels they haven’t done anything to deserve the attention of people like YOU….

  61. Agit – one of the phrases which Victor Ostrovsky quoted in his book By Way of Deception (the book that Israel tried to have banned in an American court) was when the mossad boss said to his agents when they befriend a westerner is that “you will be sitting with your friend – but he won’t be sitting with his”.

  62. Ah, the old ” Protocols of the Elders of Zion ” type of thing, eh

  63. Allan,
What size boulder, dropped from the tallest building in Aberdeen would it take to put you out of your misery, do y’think?

  64. Agit8ed

No matter what size the boulder – Alan would only claim that such an attempt on his life would be proof that the ‘cabal of world dominating faux Jews’ were out to get him ;)

  65. Lol,
But at least he would be four foot shorter, and we could all look down on him.. :)

  66. PS
He might then start a new career as a “fitba” and end up in some Jewish football league..
