eeewww should we be scared?
By The Troll On June 3rd, 2012(Reuters) – Iran has warned the United States not to resort to military action against it, saying U.S. bases in the region were vulnerable to the Islamic Republic’s missiles, state media reported on Saturday.
“The politicians and the military men of the United States are well aware of the fact that all of their bases (in the region) are within the range of Iran’s missiles and in any case … are highly vulnerable,” Press TV reported Brigadier-General Yahya Rahim Safavi as saying.
Safavi is a military adviser to Iran’s clerical Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and was until 2007 the commander in chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, the force that protects Iran’s Islamic system of governance.
He also warned that Iranian missiles could reach all parts of Israel but played down any possibility of military action against his country as “faint” because of the current economic condition of the United States.
History however shows that when our economy is bad we tend to like blowing things up…. but these people believe the Messiah is coming up out of a well so I guess reality is a little beyond their grasp.

There’s nothing like a good war to kick-start a bankrupt economy, as Troll acknowledges. The US has military bases surrounding Iran and which are there as a provocation. After all, the bases in the -stans are there for protecting the drug trade, but may also be useful in a contrived war against Iran. Clearly, the US is the warmonger.
“Clearly, the US is the warmonger.”
One of the few times I agree with you Allan. However, in a positive light.
** Gen. George Patton: “Americans love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle.”
** Gen. George Armstrong Custer: “I would be willing, yes glad, to see a battle every day during my life.”
America was forged by the fire of battle. America is a warrior nation.
Win or lose Americans see armed conflict as an intrinsic quality.
…..just as long as it’s someone else’s country being trashed.
First off any nation is more than welcome to try and invade the US, you’ll find several quick realities, our large cities would have to be taken house by house, block by block, and there are areas of LA, Detroit, Chicago, New York, and Philly where you wouldn’t wouldn’t make it half way down the street. As four our countryside regions good luck when you hit the woods there is a reason that the most common casual wear in these areas is camouflage.
The US has to be attacked by the Air and with long range weapons (missiles) we control the sky plains won’t make it period.
As for both of your comments they are stupid. Calling the US a War Monger nation is the call of an idiot.
Now if you expect us to behave as your nations have and allow ourselves to become defenseless and not stand up for ourselves in our defense then you are even dumber than your war monger comment makes you sound.
The rest of the west has hid under the Curtain of US Defense for decades, you have laid down your arms and revile those amongst you that still have any backbone left to defend themselves.
The world is at war, and the rest of you look like France in WWII, ripe for picking. We won’t be.

No-one wants to invade the US, or push it around or park their forces on your soil. The things is, alot of people wish you’d stop doing all of those things to their countries.
Still, at least you finally recognise that there are no threats to American national security.
bullshit!
There are countries that are actively trying to destroy the US on a daily basis, there are a whole group of a couple 100 million religious fanatics scattered through out a dozen countries actively planning attacks against us and Britain for that matter but your not viewed as a threat.
Iran is building a bomb, those that will control that bomb believe that they can bring about the second coming by bathing the world in blood. The have repeatedly named over and over the two nations blood they are going to spill to bring this about.
When a man pulls a gun and says he is going to shoot you, it’s shear stupidity not to believe him, and if you believe him you have one choice, let him kill you or kill him in self defense.
and just because your paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.
Got a good tale about what the czar is doing that I’m working on that I’m sure you’ll just love
//When a man pulls a gun //
Except in this case the man not only hasn’t pulled a gun but doesn’t have one in the first place. The gun exists only in the imagination of those looking forward to a shoot-out.
“There are countries that are actively trying to destroy the US on a daily basis”
Says the bloke who’ll vote for any neocon who promises megadeath and destruction.

There is not a country out there which can hold a candle against the Grand Old Looters when it comes to harming the US.
Noel denile is note a river in egypt
Pete what we do to ourselves we will sort out, and is acceptable, but no outsider ever threatens the family, and survives.
The ultimate neo-con wet dream of war with Iran looms closer. But their nightmare is that it might be a Democrat president who brings it about. After Iran, they will be pushing for an attack on Pakistan.
Peter -
Syria’s in there too, but after them, Iran and Pakistan it’ll be North Korea which is the “threat to national security”.
Economic Policy Journal is a daily read of mine. If these comments about Mongolia’s mineral wealth are true, then they’ll be on the list too. In fact I thought of Mongolia when I read of the US sending most of its fleet to that side of the Pacific.
beginning to get worried about the book of revelations…
