He could not get along.
By Mahons On June 17th, 2012Rodney King apparently drowned in his swimming pool. He was the victim of a police brutality incident that was seen on a videotape by virtually everyone in the United States. He had been a petty crook, and continued to be troubled by alcohol all his days. The riots that arose in Los Angeles in his name were a gross and criminal reaction that resulted in over 50 people killed, thousands injured. A white truck driver Reginald Denny was pulled from his truck in a black neighborhood and beaten almost to death which was also captured on video. Denny still has never really recovered. It was not the best of times.
King’s simple reaction “Can’t we all get along?” reminded me more of a prayer than a soundbite, and may have been the highpoint of his life, which had too many lows, most of which he himself was responsible for. In the end, he died at age 47, with a legacy based more on what happened to him than anything he did. I am sorry for him.

The times I saw him on televison he always seemed like man uncomfortable with the world and his place in it. His fame was for unpleasant reasons but it’s sad for anyone to go at 47 regardless of whether it was by accident or design.
sad.
High as a kite, speeding and evading police….yeah a real charmer.
He’s been renamed by several bloggers now that he was founf at the bottom of his pool and his girlfriend has admitted he was downing drugs and booze in quantity…..
But excuses are like anuses, everybody’s got at least one. He might have had several.
OH, I guess those gentle taps on the noggen he received 21 years ago gave him PTSD.
OR, maybe it was the 3.2 million bucks he got from the California taxpayers and allowed him to purchase the drugs and booze.
Then again I bettin on:
The devil made me do it, oh, oh, oh,oh
It was the act of a man possessed, now
The devil made me do it, oh, oh ,oh, oh
He shall evermore be known as: An “African Rockfish” (They’re bottom-feeders) I believe.
