One of the Things I do to Make Money
By The Troll On July 23rd, 2012I sell Guns, I have my own private company, and I work for a Store that is the number one Firearms Store in the United States. Last year we sold just under 36,500 guns. Friday of this week we sold 153 guns.
Every person that bought a gun had both a state and federal background check. Every Gun that was purchased was registered in a Federal Data Base. You can not buy a Gun in the U.S. from a store, a licensed Dealer, or at a Gun Show without getting a background check, and without the gun being registered. It has been that way since 1994 with the passage of the Brady Bill. There were 3 major Gun Acts passed by Congress before the Brady Bill. One in 1934, one in 1938 and one in 1968. The Bill passed in 1934 banned The National Firearms Act of 1934, after the handgun registration provisions were deleted, was a concentrated attack on civilian ownership of machine guns, sawed-off shotguns, silencers, and other relatively rare firearms that had acquired reputations as gangster weapons during the years preceding its passage. The 38 act Tightened those restrictions, and the 1968 act did away with all Mail order Gun Purchases. The Brady Bill made ALL gun sales subject to background check and registration.
So when you hear people call a Firearm an Assault Weapon. It only shows how ignorant they are. An Assault Weapon has a multi select firing system. It can be set to fire 1 shot, a burst which is either 3 or 5 shots or Fully Automatic. These guns have not been sold in the U.S, since 1938. The only way you can have one in your possesion is to be the carrier of a Class III firearms license. To get a class III License the individual goes through an examination that would make a prostate Doctor cry.
These Firearms may look scary, but they are the same as any other Rifle. They fire one round for each pull of the tri
gger,
Yet these weapons are called assault rifles in the eyes of the ignorant. You can do much more damage with a Shotgun than any of the guns above.
The Shooting Friday Night was not done by a member of the TEA Party, not by a member of the Occupy Wall Street crowd. It was not committed by a member of the NRA.
It was the Insane Act of a Crazy Person. A well educated man that for reasons yet to be explained went NUTS.
Guns are tools, the Assault “Style” Guns like the ones pictured above are bought by people that want the thrill of owning something that LOOKS like a Machine Gun, but in reality are just that NON Functioning Replicas.
The Politicians and the Press prey on YOUR IGNORANCE.

“It was the Insane Act of a Crazy Person. A well educated man that for reasons yet to be explained went NUTS.”
And who legally purchased all of his guns after submitting to a background check.
Troll,
do you support the (leaving aside the business bias) claim that more people should have guns to negate the nut jobs who open fire?
I’m not sure where the tag came from (though I think it arose when Clinton was prsident), but there’s no such such thing as an “assault weapon”. It’s a piece of propaganda, a scary phrase, which is technically meaningless.
Ban the sale of guns in the USA. See the murder rate plummet, and the incidence of lung cancer go through the roof..
PS
Open a tobacconist and candy store, Troll.
As far as I recall, an assault weapon is a portable automatic rifle type which is capable of firing multiple rounds. I think the original AK-47 was of this type, a sort of modern version of the Sten gun. Now that shows my age!!
When the ban on automatic weapons came into force in America, many were modified to fire only single rounds, and still labelled ‘AK-47′
The original AK-47 was a Russian product produced by Kalashnikov.
Did you know, (according to the freakenomics book) that more people drown in swimming pools than are shot in the US?
Not sure if it holds up, but an interesting angle…
Ernest, yes, indeed.
A very effective weapon and dependable without stoppages.
When Heston walked with Martin Luther King did he discus the type of gun that was used to kill King?

Together they probably kill many more than guns!
Agit8ed,
Why ban the sale of guns? a knife or a baseball bat are cheaper and not nearly so noisy.
A firearm is perhaps the only weapon that almost balances the inequality between the strongarm bully and the frail, who are more than likely to be their target. As most murders on a ‘one-to-one’ basis, this could be a good reason to have a gun ‘at home’. To ‘carry’ on an everyday basis, while out and about, does not sound too good an idea.
Personally I have never owned a firearm, – I have never really felt the need, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one should I feel the need. But then I am not a frail female or an invalid, and am less likely to be a victim.
Owning a gun would hardly have been much use in the scenario of a cinema. Too many people scared and firing at random would, as like, do more harm than good.
ernest,
where do you stand on the increase/decrease debate as above?
‘do you support the (leaving aside the business bias) claim that more people should have guns to negate the nut jobs who open fire?’

Could affect the sales of swimwear..
Ernest.
A la Edna Mode in The Incredibles,
“NO GUNS, Darling!!”

I doubt even that the Constitutional right to bear arms had the rider “ad infinitum” attached.
I think that was more to do with militias fighting off the young state’s enemies (the bloody British especially), rather than giving histrionic, immature and unstable modern Americans the opportunity to go out and “right wrongs”.
.. rather than giving histrionic, immature and unstable modern Americans the opportunity to go out and “right wrongs”.
You’re talking about presidents, yes?
Troll,
So you’re an arms dealer? My, my.
I do think you should have kept it to yourself
Troll – a couple of questions. Firstly, the deaths by gun in the US – as far as I was aware, the majority of victims are of criminals who tend not to procure their nweapons by the legal route: please confirm/refute.
Secondly, is there not a vote due on a UN proposal for control of small arms as typically owned by law-abiding citizens in the US? Is this measure being voted in Congress?
Pete,
The Presidents of the USA have all acted with varying degrees of restraint when it comes to using their military. I’d say that Bush with his endorsement of “Shock and Awe” tactics was the worst example.
And btw, that didn’t achieve very much in the long run did it?
It is the citizenry’s access to weapons which is the greatest cause for concern, and I think gun sales should be outlawed.
Wow, have to say I assumed, ignorantly, that those rifles were “assault rifles” i.e rapid fire weapons. Thanks for the education.
A) everywhere that has opened up ie: made it easier for law abiding citizens to carry a concealed weapon violent crimes go down. They are called “Shall Issue” States. States and large metro areas where the right of law abiding citizens can not get carry permits have the highest violent crime rates.
The majority of gun violence is committed criminal on criminal. So yes I do support every legal citizens right to carry.
The UN vote on the ATT which is the small arms treaty is being voted on in the UN, but being prevented from a vote in the US Senate. If it is signed by the Secretary of State and not Renounced by the President, or voted up or down by Senate it becomes the defacto law in the US until such time as it is rejected by the President or the Senate. (this provision was a present from President Woodrow Wilson)
A8 shock and awe was the beginning of the end of the Saddam regime and although Iraq is far from perfect they are no longer a State Supporter of terror, they no longer have 7 tons of refined Uranium and are no longer a threat to their neighboring nations,
I say that’s a good level of accomplishments
Yeah, up to a million have died but they don’t support ‘terror’ so that’s ok then.
Agit8ed -
“The Presidents of the USA have all acted with varying degrees of restraint when it comes to using their military.”
Erm … who?
James Holmes is an evil madman for killing 12 innocents. Just GWB and Obama have ordered and directed wars that have killed many thousands of innocents. The numbers are in and the verdict is clear: the last two presidents are incomparably more evil than James Holmes.
“It is the citizenry’s access to weapons which is the greatest cause for concern, and I think gun sales should be outlawed.”
Well as I posted here the other day:
yeah that’s about right Petr. If you support terror we’ll kill a million of you to pacify you if that’s what it takes.
Welcome to the real world
“A8 shock and awe was the beginning of the end of the Saddam regime and although Iraq is far from perfect they are no longer a State Supporter of terror, they no longer have 7 tons of refined Uranium and are no longer a threat to their neighboring nations,
Troll,
Every respect to your patriotism, but in the long run it has solved nothing and will solve nothing.

Any bets that Pakistan’s nukes won’t fall into the wrong hands?
Anyway, you are mixing foreign policy with civilian access to guns.
My guess is that had Northern Ireland used the same policy as the US there would have been a lot more dead people…
Troll, you are a moral disgrace.
Petr,
“If you support terror we’ll kill a million of you to pacify you if that’s what it takes.”
Who’s going to explain to Troll the meaning of “terror”? I rather think that there wouldn’t be enough hours in my day.
War and the casualties of it are not acts of terror. An act of terror is an act committed by an individual or group that purposefully targets non combatants.
War is organized violence committed by one state against another. In the course of these actions civilians are killed. They are not victims of terror. They are victims of their governments stupidity of staging war against a nation that when forced to defend itself follows a philosophy of complete destruction of the enemy state.
Trying to define what terror is to people who freely elect terrorists to office is the true definition of futility.
“Troll, you are a moral disgrace.”
That’s rich coming from one who supports all kinds of demos against society, and almost orgasms when riots occur….
No that’s perfectly moral. I want to help to get rid of an immoral, disgusting, and diseased system. I want the emancipation of all humanity, what could be more moral than that?!?
Demos against society? Oh, brother. I support action against the exploiters of society.
Aaah!
A difference by degrees.
So if you support MY cause violence is okay, because these people are exploiting us…
Oh yeah which system is that? and what system do you want to replace it with COMMUNISM? The system that systematically killed over 200 million people in the Soviet Union
I’m not against violence, never said I was. The point I was making was that Troll delights in the US killing Iraqi civilians even though Iraq posed no threat to the US.
Don’t dare twist my words again.
Troll — I opposed the Soviet Union.
“Don’t dare twist my words again.”
I’ll twist your words any way I want.
They could hardly come out more screwed up than you are.
“I’ll twist your words any way I want.”
That speaks volumes. You are a most dishonest interlocutor.
you are a self proclaimed communist. The USSR, and China are the nations that have followed this philosophy. Both nations have killed 100s of millions of their own people to try and make it work.
and I don’t celebrate the death of any civilians, I state the facts of war, while you ignore the facts of communism
//War is organized violence committed by one state against another. In the course of these actions civilians are killed. They are not victims of terror. They are victims of their governments stupidity of staging war against a nation that when forced to defend itself follows a philosophy of complete destruction of the enemy state.//
Troll, if during the Iraq war Iraq had managed to kill US civilians, would they – the American victims – have been “victims of their governments stupidity of staging war against a nation that when forced to defend itself follows a philosophy of complete destruction of the enemy state”.
And would Bush and Co, in an attempt to avoid this charge of stupidity, not have been justified in pointing at the stupidity of those who elected them to office?
= would they – the American CIVILIANS –
American civilians were killed during the Iraq war a group of them had their bodies hung from a bridge and burned…. you might have seen the pictures

for some reason your comment with the links went into moderation, I have released it.
In response the example you point out are direct condemnations of what happens when you give a marxist and Islamo Fascist sympathizer the reigns of power of the most powerful nation in the world.
I am Canadian
I have guns
I love guns
I plan on buying more
But the fetishists in the US that think they need to surround themselves with ever more and bigger guns make me wonder.
And Troll
There is no provable correlation between concealed carry and crime reduction.
No most gun violence is not criminal on criminal, except that upon using gun violence you become a criminal.
Interesting fact: In many ways it is easier and faster to get guns in Canada and yet we still have 1/100th of the gun crime
““I’ll twist your words any way I want.”
That speaks volumes. You are a most dishonest interlocutor.”
Gee! Thanks Darling..
That is the voice of stupidity the facts prove otherwise. Try reading John Lott
http://www.johnlott.org/
Lott believed like you except after studying the FACTS he wrote a book why he was wrong and how the truth is guns in the hands of LAW ABIDING citizens reduces crimes every time.
Paid mercenaries, not civilians.
Troll – if/when the US/Israel attack Iran, are American and Israeli civilians fair game?
They weren’t mercenaries they were good citizens doing a job to support our troops. They have to have American civilian contractors because Democrats keep cutting troops.
Haliburton and Blackwater are civilians doing a military job the democrats don’t think we need soldiers to do.
A mercenary is an ex soldier that Hires out to the highest bidder to do work that governments don’t want their fingerprints on, Those men were recognized contractors, you have no clue to what you speak, except a twisted hollywood fantasy world.
As for American and Israeli Civilians, well Israeli civilians are targeted everyday by The Poor Pallies in Gaza, I don’t hear you shedding a tear for them. When the real shooting starts you can fully expect car bombs and suicide bombers here in the states.
If you recall the suicide bomber the other day that killed the jewish tourists had a michigan driver license in his pocket. I do feel sorry for the Muslim community inside the US when cars start exploding. We are not a very friendly people when threatened, especially in our house.
Get a clue, Troll. Mercenaries were a convenient way to shield the oval office from criminal prosecution of war crimes. Try reading more than NR, round out your knowledge base by a few decibals.
Democrats have never tried to limit military recruitment, it’s one of few avenues lower and blue collar classes have to make a decent living, hopefully learn a practical skill and gain lifetime government welfare benefits.
It’s state work, in other words. Lifer public employees sucking private tit until they hit the grave after signing a four year military contract.
Pure liberal government gravy.
Daphne
Every Democrat President since FDR has cut the size of the Military, Obama just cut 160,000 bodies from the budget.
Blackwater and Haliburton aren’t the CIA. The CIAs job is to kill people, topple governments and do our dirty work with Plausible deniability, those that earned those black stars on the wall at Langley are heroes and patriots not mercenaries.
