OLYMPIC QATADA?

By David Vance On July 31st, 2012

The farce continues as the UK fails to send the hate preacher and alleged Jihadist Abu Qatada packing. Instead we may be seeing him turning at the London 2012 Olympic Games!

Lawyers for radical cleric Abu Qatada will demand his immediate release from prison today. In his latest appeal, the extremist preacher will ask the High Court to let him out on the streets – during the Olympics. Qatada is in prison ahead of a court hearing in October which will decide whether he can be deported to Jordan to face terror charges.

Isn’t it remarkable that this goon can access the finest legal talent to fight his cause from the High Court to the European Court? It’s vital that our taxes go towards funding the enemies of our country, isn’t it? Anyone else who is has to actually PAY for legal representation will know just how depressingly expensive and dangerous that can be – but when it comes to this Jihad enthusiast, it’s just not even a problem.

  1. “Qatada is in prison ahead of a court hearing in October which will decide whether he can be deported to Jordan to face terror charges.”

How many times have we been here? If court appearances earned Nectar points Qatada would have enough to bankrupt Sainsburys.

  2. What this shows is the skewed values prevalent in our Government. For example, I can understand the Government making it possible for the Gurkhas and their families to settle here in Britain, because the Nepalese have been loyal soldiers for many years.
    But the Government didn’t!
They did it through gritted teeth and under public pressure from the delightful Joanna Lumley.
    But THIS guy…
What has he done for Britain?
    Cursed it.
Urged young Muslims to rise up and plot against it.
Told us he will bury our culture and impose strict Islamic values on us.
Government (full of self loathing and contempt for everything truly British)responds…
“Protect that man at all costs! Get him the finest legal protection taxpayer’s money can buy!”

    Skewed values?
    Skewed as a corkscrew.

  3. As I understand it he is being held in Custard. Though he can get out of jail at any time provided he leaves the country. Maybe he is just trifling with us? Let’s hope he gets his just desserts.

  4. This Qatada farce is deliberate policy by the government. If it were not so, he would have been gone long ago.

  5. It looks like islam is making headway in the US:

During a House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution, Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz) questioned Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez on whether the Justice Department would ever consider banning free speech critical of religion.

“Will you tell us here today simply that this Administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?” asked Franks.

Perez replied by asking for context before Franks repeated the question, adding, “That’s not a hard question.”

Perez then tried to add the context of “when you make threats against someone,” but Franks stuck to his original question and repeated it for a third time.

“Again sir, if you have a proposal that you are considering, we will actively review that proposal,” responded Perez.

“OK, here’s my proposal. I’m asking you to answer a question, that’s my proposal. I’m proposing you answer this question,” said Franks, before repeating the question for a fourth time.

Perez again refused to answer the question, asking for more context.

When a member of the subcommittee offered to “rephrase” the question for Franks, he responded, “I’m asking my own questions, I’ll certainly allow you to ask yours.”

“If the Department of Justice can’t even answer whether they will entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion, then it’s pretty late in the day,” concluded Franks.

Perez’ evasive response clearly indicates that the Department of Justice under the Obama administration would consider a law that would override the First Amendment and classify criticism of religion as racist hate speech. – H/T to the ‘nutters’ at Infowars
