PUBLIC DEGENERACY LIBERAL AMBITION…

By ATWadmin On January 16th, 2008

Did you read that the uberliberal ACLU has filed a brief citing a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling 38 years ago that found that people who have sex in closed stalls in public restrooms "have a reasonable expectation of privacy." WHAT? Sorry, but this is nonsense. I believe that people can do whatever they want (so long as it doesn’t frighten the horses) behind the closed doors of their homes! But engaging in homosexual acts in public conveniences is..erm… not just inconvenient, in fact it’s a busted flush. The ACLU once again demonstrates the total immorality that lies behind moral relativism.

Why do you think the lawmakers were referring to homosexuals? Anyone can do it there.

  2. What doesn’t the court understand about the word PUBLIC?

    Idiots.

  3. Sorry David, but once again we have to disagree. You may think the worst of the ACLU, but I believe that the American Civil Liberties Union is the one bastion of American Democracy which works, and what’s more, works for every American.

Their brief is ‘to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States’; nothing more, nothing less!

The cases which they fight may jar many nerves, but the one thing they always uphold is the supremacy of the American Constitution, and the laws which have come to be made in the shadow of that famous document.

I wish that we in Britain had both a Constitution, and an organisation as muscular as the ACLU to protect us against such as New, or even Old Labour!

  4. >>What doesn’t the court understand about the word PUBLIC?<<

So you admit then that you often have a pee in public?

  5. Noel, do you pee in the woods?

  6. Yeah right, I cruise Hampstead Heath all the time looking for "up for it" birds, and they just love a quickie in the public toilets, it’s so romantic. Yeah, sure.
Of course they’re on about gays, what other group in society ever uses public toilets to copulate?

  7. Yeah right, I cruise Hampstead Heath all the time looking for "up for it" birds,

Careful there Tom or you could end up feeling a right tit 😉

  8. Well, I’d rather feel a Right one, than a Left one!

  9. >>Yeah, sure. Of course they’re on about gays<<

Tom, I think that remark says more about you than anyone else. I’ve "copulated" in public toilets twice.

Aaah, fond memories: once was in a bar late at night, and I was getting my way with a young lady I’d just met on the pool table, no less, when she suggested we repair to the Ladies.

The other was in a lonely country train station on a warm day in Italy. I was with a girlfriend and the bloody train was late and we had to wait, and wait…..
Well, where we chose was at least safer than on the tracks!

  10. Noel

You met the first one ON the Pool table ?. Some night that must have been 🙂

  11. Too much information Noel. 😀

  12. Mike,

It would be a dull place if we all agreed on everything all the time!

That said, defending the right to have sodomy in public places ain’t defending the US Constitution as I understand it.

  13. The ACLU couldn’t save rightwing Republican Senator Larry Craig who apparently believed the pursuit of happiness included public toilets.

I don’t like the positions the ACLU always takes, but they function as Mike mentions, to protect the rights of all so I cut them some slack when I disagree with them.

  14. The problem is that the ACLU seemed to like the position Craig took….

  15. Hey David, How about some music? I believe we’re due since it’s Wednesday.

  16. I agree Daphne, we need something to get our feet
tapping…. ooops isn’t that what started all this trouble for Craig in the first place 🙂

  17. >>The problem is that the ACLU seemed to like the position Craig took….<<

LOL, reminds me of what Frank Zappa is supposed to have said once:
If someone tells you they caught the clap sitting on a toilet seat, it probably means they like sex in that position.

  18. You men are funny!

  19. ‘I wish that we in Britain had both a Constitution’

Oooh yeah. Sounds like a really worthwhile idea. This case being a good example! (jeez)

  20. You’re a gent Tom

  21. Alison: I thought this was about avoiding the gents.

  22. Oh ha haa Mahons. Okay i’ll give you that one. I still think Tom is a gentleman in the true sense of the word – not the door sign..

  23. Alison: I agree.

  24. Mahons: shall i put up a music post. I was thinking maybe Elton John? I could find a really flaming gay one + good music.

  25. Elton John is gay?

  26. Thank you, Alison.
Now fetch me another beer from the fridge, bitch! (Only joking!)
Elton’s "Are you ready for love" would fit the bill nicely. Sublime tune, great voice, and suitably day-glo video.

  27. Tom’s bold too!

  28. Tom’s the man!. I’m falling in love with him myself.

Well this is a gay thread 🙂

  29. Colm, the bus-stop on Fleet Road, Hampstead…meet me there at midnight.

  30. The person who posted the above comment is definitely not me! It’s a case of identity theft!! I swear it!

  31. Tom

Shall I dress like an ‘up for it’ bird ?

  32. >>I’m falling in love with him myself.<<

I suppose you’ll be seen strolling Hampstead Heath in hope over the coming days and weeks!

    >>Tom’s bold too!<<
What does "bold" mean in the States, Daphne?
In Britain it means daring, it Ireland it means naughty.

Although it seems that when Tom’s out walking, he’s both at the same time!

  33. Noel

In Daphne’s imagination it could mean all sorts !

  34. You ARE an up for it bird Colm (i jest)

  35. As long as you don’t dress like George Michael, I can’t afford to be photographed with him again, these days!

  36. It means both naughty and daring in the states Noel.

The Tom comments are getting special good tonight!

  37. (Poor David, he writes these posts with the most serious of intentions, he must sometimes stand back and shake his head at what the comments thread turns into…!)

  38. Alison

I am reminded about a corny line in one of those carry on films. Hattie Jacques is trying to lure Kenneth Williams away from the charms of Barbara Windsor so she says to him – "remember there’s plenty more meat on an old bird" and Ken dismissiively replies "yes, and they take a lot more stuffing"…

  39. I think he smiles a lot Tom. (Else he’d kick us degenerates off)

  40. Tom

David knows EXACTLY what he’s doing when he sticks these posts up! Remember he know us well enough by now ..

  41. Speaking of Tom out on the Heath (I was wondering where I’d met that man before)

"Away! the foul fiend follows me!
Through the sharp hawthorn blows the cold wind.
Hum! go to thy cold bed, and warm thee.
    Tom’s a-cold,"

  42. Noel, you’re atw’s resident poet.

I’m a little surprised you didn’t give us a naughty limerick on this thread. 😉

  43. God they were all so gay those Carry Ons, Kenneth & Co.

  44. >>a little surprised you didn’t give us a naughty limerick on this thread. ;<<

Once walking out on Hampstead Heath
A wee bird Tom happened to meeth
When to the toilet she went
    He, being but a gent,
Could offer her only his seath

  45. Massive snickers Noel!

  46. This is all getting quite out of hand.
There are words here I don’t understand.
    I’ve not indulged the espousal
    Nor even self-arousal
On any public space in this land.

  47. ‘I wish that we in Britain had both a Constitution’

But you soon will — the EU Constitution. You know, the one Gordon Brown promised a referendum on when he wanted your vote, then reneged on after the votes were in?

  48. […] might remember, as I did, a post way back in early 2008 on a blogsite I visited; which was a scorching denunciation of homosexual activities in public […]
