Yes, I know. President Narcissus is often accused of not having much of a sense of humour so I am delighted to see that he looks to be proving his critics wrong….

President Barack Obama has chosen Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts to be the next secretary of state, a source has told Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed. His replacement as head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will be Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, the Sneed source said. This comes on the heels of Thursday’s announcement that U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice had removed herself from the list of candidates to take over from Hillary Clinton. Rice said that what was sure to be a contentious and lengthy approval process took attention away from more pressing problems facing the nation.

Jean Francois to become Sec of State? Excellent news … we need more such comedy appointments.   I think that if Obama is to succeed in making the US a global laughing stock then having…ahem…war hero Kerry as SoS is the way to go.

  1. I don’t like John Kerry. I find him pompous to the extreme. But he’s qualified and likely will make a decent Secretary of State – AND IT GETS HIM OUT OF THE SENATE!

  2. Obama has a sense of humour, and so do the MSM ..

OT, my apologies, but somethings are beyond resistable.

Hillary Clinton suffers concussion after fainting and recovers at home just days after insisting she’s not too old to run for president in 2016

Phew, It’s just lucky she hit her head, and not a part of her body which held any vital organs 😉

  3. It also gives the Republicans a chance of picking up his senate seat, if Scott Brown goes for it.

  4. H. Clinton, John Kerry – what’s the difference?

He’s just another puppet who’ll be paid a fortune to pretend he’s in charge of something. The reality is that the agenda is set and unchanging. The Sec. of State is just a mouthpiece.

  5. I’m glad Kerry’s got the job. Let’s wish him luck.

And we can also thank God that Susan Rice didn’t get it.

That Benghazi incident was perhaps a blessing for the world after all if it kept her out of the job.
