By David Vance On January 26th, 2013A Muslim who raped a 13-year-old girl he groomed on Facebook has been spared a prison sentence after a judge heard he went to an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless.
Adil Rashid, 18, claimed he was not aware that it was illegal for him to have sex with the girl because his education left him ignorant of British law. Yesterday Judge Michael Stokes handed Rashid a suspended sentence, saying: ‘Although chronologically 18, it is quite clear from the reports that you are very naive and immature when it comes to sexual matters.’
Stunning. Is this the ONLY “faith school” where it is taught that women have no value and that British law has no meaning? As for the decision by the Judge to allow this rapist to walk free — well, it is all too predictable.

This is what causes one to question the sanity of our pink and fluffy liberatii.
They squeal in outrage, eyelids fluttering, manicured fingers clutching at their heaving breasts because the Church of England turns down the demands for women Bishops.
Fair enough. They are committed to equality.
But ONLY in demanding equality amongst those of the host culture either abiding by or influenced by Christian teaching and cultural practices.
When it comes to a situation like this however, the Diversity and Inclusion programming kicks in, and the slightly patronising, championing of minority rights earnest smiles and nods appear.
“Well it’s their religion dear” says one rummaging in his man bag for his pristine copy of the Koran printed on paper from sustainably sourced forests. “We really can’t judge them by OUR standards, and after all who’s to say OUR standards are the right ones?”
So guess what? Not only are these “trust me, I’m a Liberal” folk condoning those schools and colleges teaching this rubbish; they are willing to sacrifice justice towards a young vulnerable girl and reinforce her self worthlessness for the sake of multiculturalism.
It displays arrogance, hypocrisy and amorality all in one move, and perhaps manages to provide other Muslim young men with the perfect excuse..
In the US, ignorance of the law is not a defense.
Apparently not the case in England any more.

I was thinking that it the detail woukd show that he was incapable of understanding that it was against the law but no.
He may be vulnerable and that should trigger extra measures re a custodial sentence and it s a mitigating factor if it is true that he was “seduced” but it only mitigates, it doesn’t wipe it out as a crime.
I despair of our judiciary. There should be a mechanism whereby they are required to account for judgements which seem so illogical.
I believe it is apparent now more than ever, those lunatics over-ran the asylum which was once affectionately known as Great Britain quite some time ago.
