A MESSAGE TO KOFI….

By ATWadmin On December 11th, 2006

Did you read Kofi Annan’s final rebuke to the United States before he leaves his job as Chief terror-apologist at the UN? I’m sure the liberal MSM will be in tears at Kofi’s departure. I noticed that Annan chose the library of President Truman to make his final lousy speech. Well,  here are a few words from Harry Trueman that pretty much should sum up the CORRECT approach for the US on the war on Islamic terror, and indeed with its dealings with the creatures from the UN…

"Carry the battle to them. Don’t let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive. And don’t ever apologize for anything"

Bye Bye Kofi – you’ll not be missed!

  1. A quick read of his comments didn’t bother me in general (ie – call for the US to maintain its values), but it bothered me that he doesn’t seem to have any particular specific thought as to any other nation. Where is his speech on what others should do?
I read a quote this weekend by someone who stated that the UN is merely a stage with no actors. By that he meant that the international diplomatic community is willing to decry certain things, but will not ACT upon them.
Let him ride off into the sunset. Sadly, we will see his like again.

  2. >>>but it bothered me that he doesn’t seem to have any particular specific thought as to any other nation.<<<

i think its because he holds the US to a higher standard. iran or north korea dont claim to be the standard bearers of freedom or human rights. if your going to let your people go off and fight, and die, for these values then the very least you can do is uphold them. at home and abroad.

    >>>By that he meant that the international diplomatic community is willing to decry certain things, but will not ACT upon them.<<<

diplomats of member states. who are merely another arm of foriegn policy.

there are lots of people out there in the UN doing the best they can, and some excellent work. but most of it amounts to nothing when their work impinges on national interests.

  3. Daytripper: I mean I don’t see his comments on China, Russia, France, Spain, Germany, South Africa, Ghana, etc. Never mind the rogue states of North Korea and Iran. I think he is less interested in actual effective promotion of the values he claims to cherish and more in favor of maintaining the diplomatic bureaucracy that he and his family have feed off of for so long.

  4. Mahons

OT but are we going to see your post soon? :o)

  5. Mr.Annan seems to think that the jihad declared on the West is like a seventh century duel – a formalized fight between gentlemen with rules to follow etc. The problem is that jihadists don’t share this same script. Jihadists unapologetically kidnap and decapitate with blunt knives while the US apologizes because prisoners perform a naked pyramid. Jihadists unapologetically strap on explosives and blow up innocents in a marketplace while the US is prostrate over a mythical Koran being flushed down a mythical super toilet.

Despite his words about "human rights" I think Kofi Annan is inhumane. and has blood on his hands. Kofi Annan and the UN has made the situation in the Middle East much worse, virtually ensuring that more people will die.

  6. Aileen: I had actually attempted to post the Mahons Manifesto but I seem to have deleted it when I went to send it. It is lost to us now, a loss to the world of letters that I compared with the burning of the Library of Alexandria and the death of William Shakespeare in my apology to Mr. Vance. I am recreating it and hope to have it posted this week. Thank you for asking and I will be suggesting to Mr. Vance that autographed copies be made available to the ATW readership for a small fee to support the site.

    mahons,
on the whole i agree with you. but again, none of these countries constantly proclaim to be the moral arbiters of planet earth. all he is saying is practise what you preach to those who insist on preaching the loudest.

thats not to say he couldnt have told the rest of them to pull their weight. which i agree, he should have.

    motme,

only because they got caught. and even then reluctantly.

    >>>Despite his words about "human rights" I think Kofi Annan is inhumane. and has blood on his hands. Kofi Annan and the UN has made the situation in the Middle East much worse, virtually ensuring that more people will die.<<<

    eh?

  8. Daytripper – don’t agree with me, it is too confusing.

  9. What does (or should) it matter what a country proclaims itself to be? American presidents do not, in fact, proclaim America to be "the world’s policeman" or whatever; that is just a media catchphrase dreamt up by the BBC et al, for use in such unbiased, balanced headlines as "US ‘seen as’ world’s cop". ie, ‘seen as’ by the ones who are saying it.
Conversely, Iran, whose leaders regularly denounce the USA as "the great satan", thereby ‘sees itself’ as morally superior.
Personally I have always thought that one of the best tests of which countries are "better" than others, is to look at the tides of people "voting with their feet" and note which direction they are fleeing from, and which direction they are fleeing to.
You don’t see boatloads of Americans escaping the US to claim asylum in Iran. Neither was it the old West Germany that built the Berlin Wall and manned it with snipers in towers, to keep the West Germans from fleeing to the East. The truth speaks for itself.

  10. Daytripper: Kofi Annan was in charge throughout the UN Oil-for-Food scandal. His UN "observers" sat idly by while tunnels and weapons were accumulated by Hizb’Allah on on the border of Israel and Lebanon, culminating in the recent war. In my opinion, Kofi Annan has blood on his hands and should be held accountable.

And no, I don’t think the naked pyramid was "torture." And don’t really care if the prisoners in Gitmo have dirty Korans.

  11. To Annan I say: Good riddance to bad rubbish.

It isn’t going to make any difference, though. The chicken-stealers are still there. Bastards.

  12. where was his challenge to any other nation in this united nations???
