I did smile when I read that Prime Minister Gordon Brown is expected to tell the Scottish Labour conference in Aviemore that the SNP is a threat to Scotland’s prosperity, He will claim that the Nationalist administration will inflict cuts in education which will damage Scotland’s capacity for economic growth. Wendy Alexander said she was "relishing" the prospect of her first conference as Scottish Labour leader. She told the BBC that she was "in it" for the long haul, not short-term popularity. I bet she is – I’m SURE those pesky off-shore election donations were just a blip! Ahem.

Brown is watching the UK economy sink in front of his eyes, and whilst of course the SNP has no economic competency (Unless you are a gypsy and you want free bin collections) it is a BIT rich Brown lecturing anyone on how to run a successful economy!
