Yes; they have not gone away: Y’know!

By Mike Cunningham On May 1st, 2014

Listening to an interview with the son of Jean McConville, murdered by the IRA butchers some fifty-odd years ago.

When asked why he had never spoken the names of the murderous clowns who had dragged his mnother out of their home, he replied:-

“I have a young family, they would be targeted by the same men who killed my mother”

I tend to agree with David’s viewpoint that, all things considered; that’s a very strange ‘Peace’ you have over there!

  1. I also heard that interview with Michael McConville on Radio 4 this morning, and the woman after the interview (involved in some legal way I can’t remember how.) said it wasn’t her place to advise people like Michael whether to inform the police or not because “they have to live and have been living with the consequences every day.”
So there’s the legacy of fighting for a cause -a legitimate cause- using evil and violent methods.
It’s like meeting a member of a gang that bullied the life out of you in the playground and being told the rest of the gang live “just around the corner…”

  2. If I speak my mind on this topic and the reasons that this situation exists I get told that I am the bad guy.

The ring of truth in the reason that this man is silent is the heart of the communities disgrace.

You watch your mom get dragged out of your home never to be seen alive again, and you dare not identify those responsible, because you will get no support from not just the politicians and police. You will get no support from your neighbors.

When a situation exists likes this it’s because good people allow it to happen. You all should be ashamed.

Except of course that the family have already made public the alleged killer of their mother last year:

So I don’t understand what Mrs McConville’s son is afraid of.

As Henry said on another thread; the leading Republican leader in the country is arrested and there’s not a stone thrown much less a shot fired.
