Sorry, but No Deal!

By Mike Cunningham On January 29th, 2015

I should begin this post by stating my own personal view; which is that, no matter what, no matter how difficult or tragic the circumstances; there should be no deals with Terrorists!

Consider the present confusion in Syria/Iraq, that portion which is controlled and dominated by the murderous fanatics of Izzy (Islamic State). They hold a Jordanian fighter/bomber pilot, and a Japanese journalist; and they want to swap these two for a female suicide bomber who is in jail in Jordan for killing sixty people.

But just consider what is on offer. A Jordanian pilot, flying under orders. He must have know the risks, flying into a zone where sophisticated weaponry, courtesy of the Americans who left it there to be used by the Iraqis, is freely available. A Japanese journalist who went into IS controlled territory hoping for a ‘story’ and allegedly trying to free another Japanese bloke.

Against those two lives are balanced a third, a female suicide bomber who took part in an attack which cost the lives of sixty people in Jordan.

Is she worth it?

No bloody way!

  1. The proper way to deal with this behavior causes to many people to gasp in horror. It is however the proper response and the inevitable result in the long run.

When they capture civilians and demand ransom or they are going to behead them. Chopping the heads already off of a couple of people to prove their point. There is just but one response.

They do these things in the name of their Religion. That may make most of us feel uncomfortable, but it makes them feel proud. They praise god every time the remove someones head from their body, or crucify a child in the public square.

The response to such behavior is simple. In the middle of Friday Prayers you level ten Mosques in IZZY controlled Iraq and Syrian territory with Tomahawks or Drones. You kill everyone in those Mosques. You release a statement that each act of hostility from the Caliphate of IZZY will be answered with a military response.

Hitting the Mosques will cause outrage from friend and foe alike. The response to this is also simple. Where as Islam is a Religion of Peace these Mosques have been corrupted to lead their followers to Murder Innocents falsely in the name of Allah. Our response is against those that have corrupted this great religion. We expect those true followers of Islam to support us in the removal of this blight on their house of God.

When the caliphate retaliates you hit the same number of Mosques while also hitting any key personnel or targets that can be identified.

Each act of aggression from these people that is not responded to with overwhelming violence is viewed by them as a victory and in their minds convinces them that god is on their side.

The cost of attacking Western Civilians, Western Political or Military targets should be a death toll on the people of those doing the attacking of a factor of ten. Only by making the response to aggression so horrible can you have a proper deterrent against such abhorrent behavior.

Every time you pay or trade you tell them that god is blessing and condoning their actions. That is what you have to convince them is wrong, and the only way to do that is with pain.

  2. She should have been executed. That way = NO bargaining chips.

  3. The death penalty… even for terror? Oh my doesn’t that fall into blasphemy?

And you called those 10,000 protesters in Germany who were protesting against ‘Izzy’ ‘Nazis’?

How would you feel if they were taking over whole neighbourhoods where you live and threatening to ‘Behead all those that insult Islam’ every five minutes?

  5. I don’t have much sympathy for the Jap hostages anyway.
They were out there to organise ‘insurance’ policies, but I saw a picture of one (before he was captured), wearing army fatigues and brandishing an AK!?

As for the Jordanian pilot baling-out…his aircraft hadn’t been hit as alleged, but he probably panicked when it developed a minor fault like a red light coming on.
The Arabs have ‘form’ when it comes to anything more complicated than riding a camel.

  6. And you called those 10,000 protesters in Germany who were protesting against ‘Izzy’ ‘Nazis’?

He was, and you are right to call him on the absurd hypocrisy involved. If peacefully protesting against Islam makes someone a Nazi what does slaughtering a mosque full of civilians make someone?

  7. none of you are right, the fact that you can’t get past your own personal inner nazi sympathies speaks for itself…. sorry try again, better luck next time 🙂

  8. None of us are right?

If you could be bothered to think past Godwins Law, it would be a move in the right direction.

  9. Troll

The only one on ATW that appears to have a ‘Final solution’, is you.
