Wonder what you make of the news concerning the US school which has banned…hugging?

"Last year we would see maybe as many as 10 students on one side (of the hallway), 10 on the other and then, going in opposite directions, would sort of have a hug line going on and you could see where that would be a problem," said Victoria Sharts, principal of Oak Park’s Percy Julian Middle School. So this year Sharts decided to draw the line on hug lines by banning all hugging among students within the building. Sharts said, "Hugging is really more appropriate for airports or for family reunions than passing and seeing each other every few minutes in the halls."

I have to say that hugging is probably one of the more innocent activities that take place in school so I just cannot embrace this decision!

  1. I’d have loved the chance of hugging ‘Big’ Bev before going into class every day! (*)(*)

  3. It’s now tagged as sexual harrassment or abuse in many schools CL. The Left is insane. First they say sex is good for everyone, no holds barred pretty much. Then they say it’s "sexual abuse" if someone gets a hug. Or is told they look pretty or handsome.

This principal, in particular, doesn’t like the fact that she isn’t in full control of the student body every minute of the day. The Left is big on control – of everything. They make things up to be in control of just to keep themselves busy.

(Their brains are like hamsters on a wheel – aimlessly running in meaningless circles – makes them believe they’re actually cogitating)

  4. Teens like hugging, it’s what they do (especially girls, in fact it’s mostly girls rather than the chaps). There’s nothing sinister or sexual in it, it’s just a nice way for young people to feel closeness with each other. Why deny them that?

  5. i think they should, in defience, hug behind the bikesheds
