LABOUR NOTICES THE OXFAM SCANDAL

By Pete Moore On February 13th, 2018

It took them a while. Which is a surprise, since Oxfam is pretty much the Labour Party on safari. Ever ready to freak out when a tranny is wrongly gendered (whatevs), it’s been the Three Wise Monkeys from Labour where Oxfam is concerned. Until today:

@DPJHodges

“So Labour finally issue a statement on Oxfam. They attack the Charity Commission and the Government. But not the organisation that was actually responsible for the abuse and cover-up.”

To recap, Oxfam officials went to Haiti after the 2011 earthquake, whereupon they bonked all the tarts. Some of them were underage, apparently. In “Caligula-style orgies”. Then Oxfam covered it up and lied to the regulator, which is the Charities Commission.

They probably still think that they’re good people. I’m wondering of anyone on the Left isn’t a sexual predator. Let’s be honest, the evidence is mounting and it doesn’t impress. As Liddle puts it: “It does give you an insight, though, into the way these perpetually angry and concerned middle-class lefties actually think of the people they are supposed to be helping. So pristine and pious, so sanctimonious towards the rest of us. So aloof from our own national concerns: internationalist to a man and especially in favour of countries where, like Haiti, the whores can be bought for one dollar.”

Powered by Left Wing sanctimony, they probably think that they’re the victims. So Labour’s belated response is no surprise. They’re a;; part of the same strata. Let’s not forget the role of government funding here. Half of Oxfam’s income comes from the taxpayer – guaranteed. It’s allowed a bubble to form around the kind of people who think that they’re aloof from all that grubby fundraising. Why knock on doors and rattle tins when you can nob around with celebrities? So we end up with vastly paid NGO executives who come to think that they’re beyond examination and accountability.

This is a rot which I suspect runs right across the international aid sector. If these strings are tugged much more, we might just find another great industry scandal.

  1. Half of Oxfam’s income comes from the taxpayer – guaranteed.

I have long argued that any so called charity that receives more than 10% of its income from government and supranational bodies are no charities.

This is a rot which I suspect runs right across the international aid sector.

It is, and I believe I have said it on these very pages.

  2. Pete – within your link to Rod Liddle are comments, and one of the comments directs to this woman’s Twitter page:

    1) The #Oxfam prostitution scandal does not surprise me. I was raised all over the world by frontline aid workers and am used to the humanitarian industry being staffed by bizarre, narcissistic people.

    2) I think the sector attracts damaged people. It is not normal to run towards war and famine and the most degenerate aspects of human behaviour , yet this is precisely what they do. Run towards it, devote their lives to it and gorge themselves on the spectacle.

    5) See, what a good person I am? Helping all these poor people? See? See me? Me? Me Me Me?

It is the ultimate virtue signaller’s mask.

And this is where it leads……..

    16) They virtue signal on the need to rescue drowning people, but absolve themselves of all responsibility for the social and economic cost of this mass migration on the indigenous peoples and cultures of Europe.

And onto Sweden (those of a certain disposition may find references to Sweden “boring” – please look away……now) for the disastrous but also hilarious consequences of the VS network:

    https://www.spectator.co.uk/2018/02/violent-crime-in-sweden-is-soaring-when-will-politicians-act/

January was a particularly violent month in Sweden. A 63-year-old man was killed in Stockholm by a hand grenade lying in the street. A Dutch exchange student was hit by a stray bullet during an execution-style killing at a pizza restaurant in Uppsala. In Gothenburg, a hand grenade was thrown into a flat and exploded in the kitchen — the same predominantly immigrant-populated suburb where an eight-year-old British boy (A@A notes – the ‘British’ boy was Iraqi, visiting relatives in Sweden) was killed in a grenade attack less than two years ago. In Malmö, a grenade was tossed at a police station and exploded outside. So it has not, so far, been a very happy new year.

After the latest explosions and shootings, Isabella Lövin, Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Green party, turned her ire towards those who express alarm over violent crime in Sweden. How can anyone talk about chaos in Sweden, she asked. ‘The truth is that we are a country that gives the rest of the democratic world hope.’ She takes pride in running the ‘world’s first feminist government’ but she has made it a political priority to play down growing numbers of violent crime, rapes included. It’s a form of denial usually associated with non-democratic states or nations in decline.

I had to read the following a couple of times just to get my round it

The police’s language is often sympathetic rather than condemnatory. Linda Staaf, a police chief, has pointed out that grenade-throwing is dangerous because those who pull out the pin ‘expose themselves to a huge risk’.

On grounds of Elfin Safety, do not pull the pins from grenades – you will expose yourself to risk

    ABSOLUTELY……..FCUKNIG………HILARIOUS!!!!
