ATW FRIDAY NIGHT JUKEBOX

By Pete Moore On September 14th, 2018

Because Friday night is Music Night

Friday evening drives don’t come much better then this, being wafted home over the Wessex Downs with some classic Budgie melting the speakers. If I were directing a Hollywood blockbuster, the opening scene would have the lead man driving a Mustang with this playing. The Sun’s bright, the shades are on, a hot chick’s beside him, all that. I know – stunning. I don’t care what the story is, or whether it fits, I’d just put it in. You’d watch the rest of the film, guaranteed.

Have fun whatever you’re up to this weekend and, as always, feel free to share some top sounds downstairs –

  6. Jesus Dave, Sigue Sigue Sputnik. What on earth where they thinking?

Tony James’ guitar riff is unmistakeable in it:

  7. I posted the Sigue Sigue Sputnik. song because the song Pete posted remind me of it. I’m sure some of the rifts or whatever you call it are the same.

Excellent choice there Paul. I was listening to that while making my lunch, it’s one of my favorites. I even like the cover version by Billy Idol, if that’s not sacrilege.

  8. If that’s not sacrilege.

HE’S A WITCH! BURN HIM!! BURN HIM!!

The only glam rockers that could match Slade:

  9. Paul. I’ve got a soft spot for the old glam rock bands. My dad actually met sweet in a pub when he was working down south in his younger days. He said they were nice group of lads. Unlike The Beatles, who he met several times in the Cavern Club, (before they were famous.) He says they were a bunch of wankers. (I think he’s just jealous.)
Cilla Black, who used to work there as the cloakroom girl also told him to f*** off.
