You accept Climate Change or we’ll Kill you…..

By Patrick Van Roy On December 7th, 2018

France is upset that their citizens refuse to accept the burden being imposed on them in the name of FAKE Science, so the French Government has called out the Army to force the DENIERS into line……

France to deploy 89,000 security personnel ahead of Saturday protests

PARIS (Reuters) – French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said 89,000 members of the security forces would be deployed nationwide on Saturday, including 8,000 in Paris, where armored vehicles will also be out on the streets.

“We are facing people who are not here to protest, but to smash and we want to have the means to not give them a free rein,” Philippe told TF1 television’s evening news program on Thursday, revising an earlier figure of 65,000 forces.

Philippe said about 10 armored vehicles belonging to the gendarmerie would also be used, the first time since 2005 when riots broke out in Paris’ suburbs.

    Who told you that Pat?

Listen to people who know about these things:

  2. lines from both your links…..

The yellow vest protests began a month ago as a rebellion against green taxes and a spike in petrol and diesel prices.

I see a bunch of crap on international media about the protests. It did start with the fuel prices hike

You can twist it anyway you want….. this was caused by Climate Change Cultist forcing everyone to pay to fight a problem man can not fight……

  3. These guys rather like violence when it suits them

  4. No Pat, if you read both links fully instead of quoting in isolation you’ll see that the fuel protests quickly escalated to violence as various other groups used them to vent their frustrations about their own particular agendas.

It’s THAT violence that the Army are being deployed against.

To think that these schoolkids are ‘climate change protestors’ is absurd:

  5. You accept Climate Change or we’ll Kill you…..

An emotive and untrue statement. Even by your standards Patrick.

  6. Mangling the facts to suit the prejudice.

Not for for the first time.

  7. I suspect Pat’s being deliberately mischievous Dave.

  8. Sorry gentleman you can try to spin this from now until kingdom come the middle class… the yellow vests, the fire and police all started this protest over Macaroon raising the price of fuel as part of fighting Fake Climate Change.

You will pay for their Religion weather you like it or not and the troops will keep you inline.

  9. in the name of FAKE Science

    LOL

  10. It is Fake Peter man can NOT effect the climate negatively or positively.

  11. Prime Minister Edouard Philippe in a televized address to the nation on Tuesday said the government for six months(now indefinitely) will suspend planned increases in gasoline and diesel taxes, hikes in gas and electricity tariffs and the phasing out of tax breaks for tractor diesel. A three-month national debate will start Dec. 15 on how to fight climate change without hurting French pocketbooks.

“Clearly the French don’t want new taxes or higher taxes, and we can’t leave new debts for our children,” Philippe said. “When you put French people of good intentions around a table they find solutions.”

Some Yellow Vests said the measures weren’t enough. “We didn’t want a suspension, we want the past increase in the tax on fuels to be canceled immediately,” Benjamin Cauchy, an early organizer of the grassroots group, said on BFM TV. “Suspending the tax to re-instate it in six months is taking the French people for a ride. French people aren’t sparrows waiting for crumbs from the government.”

    ‘Macron’s Disdain’
The president’s silence drew the wrath of some. “Macron has still not deigned to talk to the people,” said Laetitia Dewalle, a Yellow Vests spokeswoman, on BFM TV. “We feel his disdain. He maintains his international engagements but doesn’t speak to the people.”

  12. Paul McMahon,

I suspect Pat’s being deliberately mischievous Dave.

Oh I know he is Paul. He’s been posting quite a few things about climate change recently. I think he was trying get a reaction out of Peter.

    Peter

in the name of FAKE Science

LOL indeed Peter. The same scientific method, that has been used to explain, prove and achive advances in scientific understanding, such as evolution, germ theory, gravity, atomic theory, etc. Doesn’t work when it comes to studying climate change.

  13. French President Emmanuel Macron has given in to the initial demands of the Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) movement and permanently cancelled the proposed increase tax on fuel after a negative reaction to a six-month deferment.
The Elysée Palace confirmed that the fuel tax hike slated for January, which sparked the Yellow Vest movement, would be cancelled entirely on late Wednesday following a massively negative reaction to Prime Minister Édouard Philippe’s proposal to simply defer the tax for another six months, franceinfo reports.

Clarifying, the palace told franceinfo the increase is not “suspended or deferred,” but “cancelled.”

  14. Pat loves French antifa rioters now

  15. All rioters should be firehosed…….

And I’m not saying this to yank anyones chain. Climate Science is FAKE Science.

The riots started because of taxes directly connected to the fake science and the people revolted…..

  16. The fire and police all started this protest over Macaroon raising the price of fuel as part of fighting Fake Climate Change.

If it’s all the same I’ll take the analysis of those who live there, have their feet on the ground and know what they’re talking about Pat.

Pat loves French antifa rioters now

Why must you insist on hanging that moveable feast tag on anywhere that violence manifests itself Phantom?

At least 70 per cent, by my reckoning, were not urban guerrillas from the ultra-right or from the anarchist left. They were amateur provincial guerrillas. They came from the radical parts of the gilets jaunes movement in suffering areas of northern or western France or from the outer Paris suburbs. They were mostly men in their 20s and 30s but there were many older men and some women.

There were certainly Paris-based politically-driven thugs of extreme left and right at the heart of the violence. I overheard one group who were speaking in Italian.

  17. I am told that the antifa criminals joined in on the gang war.

    You say that they didn’t?

  18. Read the boxed quote above:

They were amateur provincial guerrillas. They came from the radical parts of the gilets jaunes movement in suffering areas of northern or western France or from the outer Paris suburbs

There were certainly Paris-based politically-driven thugs of extreme left and right at the heart of the violence

What you state is at best lazy and selective.

  19. Patrick you could tweak your post title which as you must know is inaccurate. The protests are not against climate change, but rather against be the government’s target for taxation . France needs to find an equitable solution and no impose the tax on ghost who Cann I’ll afford it.

  20. Of the ghosts can afford it

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

  21. Those that can afford it.

  22. Mahons from the NYT

Yellow Vest’ Protests Shake France. Here’s the Lesson for Climate Change.

France’s suspension of a fuel tax increase after violent protests signaled the perils that governments in wealthier countries may face in setting policies to fight climate change.

PARIS — Vincent Picard describes himself as a “militant ecologist.” But when protesters took to the streets to express their rage over a planned increase in France’s fuel tax, Mr. Picard joined their ranks.

He acknowledges that the tax might encourage the conservation considered critical for a healthy planet. But with the nearest train station 35 minutes away, he has to drive to work every day.

“I am conscious that we have reached the end of fossil fuels and that we have to modify our habits,” said Mr. Picard, a 32-year-old pastry maker from northern France. But, he added, “You have to continue to live.”

The gas tax is part of an effort started by France in 2014 to regularly raise the tax on fossil fuels to fight global climate change.

  23. We know

    Nobody likes tax

The French sure love their benefits package but they don’t like to pay for it

They think that money comes from the sky, just like the tea party frauds over here

  24. I think that Patrick is partially correct: The protests were started by people against the proposed fuel tax increases. However, places like Paris nowadays are crammed so full of people for whom rioting is second nature, that after a few days it became very difficult to tell exactly who was rioting, and for what if any reason.

  25. Ha ha, I laughed at this garbage:
“I am conscious that we have reached the end of fossil fuels and that we have to modify our habits,” said Mr. Picard (from Patrick’s quoted section above).
What is he talking about? Proven reserves are at an all-time high, in fact they seem to increase every year.

  26. Pat, from the link above:

The past years, we have seen all the public services funding being drastically cut, to the point that there’s no public hospitals, schools or transportation left in towns and rural areas. For some, having a car is the only way to survive. So when the people leading our country, who have chauffeurs, cars and fuel paid by our taxes, ask the people to “make an effort” it feels like a bitter joke […]

So no, it’s not about french people not wanting to make efforts for the environment, it’s about fighting a government that crushes the majority of its people and that doesn’t give a single fuck about the environment or social/fiscal justice.

The protests may have began over truckers’ protesting against fuel prices but those protests then expanded to wider grievances and that’s when the riots started.

If what’s written above is true and there’s no public hospitals, schools or transportation left in towns and rural areas it seems that those from rural France think that they’re not getting a fair return on their taxes in terms of infrastructure outside the cities.

  27. These riots are about blue collar/middle class versus elites and especially unelected elites who wish to subjugate others with their runaway rules and taxes. (looking at you, EU)

If gas taxes for climate change is seen as just another overreach by elites for central global power, then Patrick’s headline is correct.

  28. Or, maybe the most honest assessment is that these riots are many things for many people with the one unifying element being an overall hatred for Macron’s Administration.

  29. OMG Patty. Please stop.

  30. The whiny French always have “ grievances “

How romantic they are, sticking it to the man.

So as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share now of what’s mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they’ll fall, one and all
    Ooh the harder they come
The harder they’ll fall, one and all
Well the oppressors are trying to keep me down
    Trying to drive me underground
And they think that they have got the battle won
    I say forgive them Lord
They know not what they’ve done

I wish they still had the Concorde So that I might fly over there and riot with them

  31. Paul, I don’t see what’s so absurdly over the top about Patty’s last two comments? “many things for many people” sounds about right to me, and although Patrick’s headline is deliberately overblown, it’s essentially correct as Patty says, when reduced to simple terms.

  32. As for AGW, assuming it’s even happening, then why burden France (or any EU country) with tax rises when their contribution towards the problem represents only 0.001% when compared with say China? Shouldn’t massive trade tarrifs on China be the solution? They’re the ones building numerous new coal-fired power plants every week/month/year.

  33. The French have better health care than Americans have

And those evil taxes are what pays for it

I don’t see any of those perpetually rioting French wanting to give up their health care for all, and the many other good benefits.

No, money grows on trees, so best to riot and scream about the one percent or whatever

  34. I’ll tell you what’s absurd Brex, she first blames the actions on some faceless ‘elites’ and the EU and then two minutes later changes tack and says it’s about Macron’s government.

I’ve supplied two links above from people who were actually there stating that the protests started against an increase in fuel prices and then turned violent when others came in from rural parts of France frustrated at lack of infrastructure there:

At least 70 per cent, by my reckoning, were not urban guerrillas from the ultra-right or from the anarchist left. They were amateur provincial guerrillas. They came from the radical parts of the gilets jaunes movement in suffering areas of northern or western France or from the outer Paris suburbs. They were mostly men in their 20s and 30s but there were many older men and some women.

Judging from witnessing riots in Belfast I’d also state thet there’s a fair sprinkling of bored young people with no particular political greviance looking for a bit of exitement too.

Defending the treatment of the children, Interior Minister Christophe Castaner aid: “Over the past few days, the students have been joined by about 100 hooded youths armed with clubs and incendiary devices and determined to pick a fight with police.”

He said roadblocks had been set alight, missiles hurled at motorists and houses robbed in the area

I’d tend to believe this over three Americans variously blaming climate change, ‘antifa’ and ‘elites’.

  35. Phantom, on December 7th, 2018 at 11:49 PM Said: Edit Comment
The French have better health care than Americans have

    NO they don’t.

  36. You don’t know what continent France is on

I know French people that have lived in America and Americans who have migrated to France, Both groups have experienced both systems and everyone I spoke with said that the French system is superior

I also told you a long time ago about an American who developed a serious nerve disease and who was cut off from health insurance by his employer After getting sick – such things do not happen in France

  37. Paul you supplied two links a Facebook post and an article in a loony french underground paper…. oh but we should believe that over the actual stated facts by the police, fire, and ambulance drivers……

The loons joined the riot but this started over a tax initiated by a fake science.

  38. The French have better health care than Americans have

And those evil taxes are what pays for it

That is indeed true Phantom but when,

The past years, we have seen all the public services funding being drastically cut, to the point that there’s no public hospitals, schools or transportation left in towns and rural areas. For some, having a car is the only way to survive. So when the people leading our country, who have chauffeurs, cars and fuel paid by our taxes, ask the people to “make an effort” it feels like a bitter joke

You have no immediate access to healthcare and then government hikes taxes on your means of transport to travel to access that healthcare it may grate a bit?

  39. Paul, when you say “she first blames the actions on some faceless ‘elites’ and the EU and then two minutes later changes tack and says it’s about Macron’s government”
the thing is, they’re one and the same thing, the way I see it. Macron is an EU puppet, its approximately the same thing as the “Belgian government” when they were under Nazi occupation. And the same thing goes for Theresa May. Stop referring to her as “The British PM”! (I don’t mean you, Paul, I mean the media in general). She’s just put in there by the EU, as is Macron in France. They don’t work for their respective countries, they wortk for the EU.

  40. Phantom you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground….. you know nothing of your own country let alone anyone else bubble boy……

So did you have lunch with a Frenchman that told you what was what?????

  41. Pat, there’s no question that these protests started by largely truckers protesting over fuel price increases but the riots came later.

If you have any links which are more credible and contradict the sources of those on the ground that I’ve supplied above then I’m open to persuasion.

  42. Brexi, from one of the links:

The past years, we have seen all the public services funding being drastically cut, to the point that there’s no public hospitals, schools or transportation left in towns and rural areas

Macron has been in power eighteen months, that not ‘the past years’.

And, it’s hardly as if French protests have never turned violent in the past?

  43. Look at how they defend their religion…… Climate Change is a Cult built on Lies and Propaganda and these riots started over taxes imposed by that cults religion…….

  44. Macron is an EU puppet, its approximately the same thing as the “Belgian government” when they were under Nazi occupation […]

Theresa May. Stop referring to her as “The British PM”! (I don’t mean you, Paul, I mean the media in general). She’s just put in there by the EU, as is Macron in France

With the greatest of respect Brexi but both those claims are absolutely laughable.

  45. Paul, did I say that it only started 18 months ago? I can’t comment knowledgeably on France, but looking back on UK politics, I’d say that the EU putsch probably started in earnest with Mrs Thatcher’s forced removal and replacement by pro-EU puppet John Major back in 1990. I daresay France has probably been under the same thumb from around the same time.

  46. Climate cience is FAKE Science.

    LOL

  47. https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory/paris-riots-show-difficulty-fighting-warming-taxes-59644768

The “yellow vests” in France are worrying greens around the world.

The worst riots in Paris in decades were sparked by higher fuel taxes, and French President Emmanuel Macron responded by scrapping them Wednesday. But taxes on fossil fuels are just what international climate negotiators, meeting in Poland this week, say are desperately needed to help wean the world off of fossil fuels and slow climate change.

“The events of the last few days in Paris have made me regard the challenges as even greater than I thought earlier,” said Stanford University environmental economist Lawrence Goulder, author of the book “Confronting the Climate Challenge.”

  48. As for AGW, assuming it’s even happening

    LOL

  49. it is Fake Peter and you’ve been thoroughly brainwashed to think cow farts can change the Climate…. lmao

  50. Shouldn’t massive trade tarrifs on China be the solution? They’re the ones building numerous new coal-fired power plants every week/month/year.

    LOL, LOL

  51. it is Fake Peter

    LOL

“When President Taft created Glacier National Park in 1910, it was home to an estimated 150 glaciers. Since then the number has decreased to fewer than 30, and most of those remaining have shrunk in area by two-thirds. Fagre predicts that within 30 years most if not all of the park’s namesake glaciers will disappear.

“Things that normally happen in geologic time are happening during the span of a human lifetime,” says Fagre. “It’s like watching the Statue of Liberty melt.”

    https://www.nationalgeographic.com/environment/global-warming/big-thaw/

  52. you’ve been thoroughly brainwashed to think cow farts can change the Climate

You’ve been thoroughly brainwashed to think that CO2 and methane have no effect on our climate. Read some science and stop being an ignoramous.

  53. Paul, did I say that it only started 18 months ago?

No you didn’t. I was explaining that riots had happened because infrastructure had been being wound down for years in parts of France outside large cities and that Macron had been in power for eighteen months thus negating Patti’s claim.

I’d say that the EU putsch probably started in earnest with Mrs Thatcher’s forced removal and replacement by pro-EU puppet John Major back in 1990. I daresay France has probably been under the same thumb from around the same time

You believe that if you wish Brexi but, again with the greatest respect, it’s a laughable claim.

  54. I can’t comment knowledgeably on France

You can’t comment knowledgeably on anything.

  55. Paul, greatest respect to you also, as always, but all that you mean by stating that my claims are laughable, is that you don’t believe it, whereas I do. Now, seeing that neither of us can prove ourselves correct as I admit, so we’re into the philosophical territory of the nature of “belief”. To make an analogy: A scientist tells me that NaCl will dissolve in H20, and I can test and see this for myself, therefore I believe it. An engineer tells me that an aeroplane made of steel/iron etc weighing several hundred tons can take flight. At first this seems implausible to my unlearned mind, yet after flying myself, I accept it. Scientists tell me that man is causing Global Warming – now here is something that I cannot ever test for myself, so I have to make some sort of “faith-based” decision on what to believe. This is the kind of thing where I have to make a decision on what I think of the EU. I can only examine what I see around me, and make interpretations about it. OK, I might be wrong, but I interpret the EU in a roughly analogous way to various historical tyrannies. That’s the way I see it, and based upon my perception of UK politics, I think that our current “government” is roughly analogous to those of Nazi-occupied territories of the 1940’s. Roughly, not precisely, but close enough.
    I don’t find that laughable.

  56. Peter, yah boo raspberries to you too. Try a cohesive argument instead.

  57. …Or shall we line our mothers up and see whose is the fattest? Yep, that’ll settle it.

  58. Good God, look at the way the EU manhandled Greece a few years ago. If that ALONE doesn’t tell you everything you need to know, if that doesn’t scream “tyranny” at you then nothing will. But hey, my mum’s so fat and look at my ugly nose.

  59. You’ve been thoroughly brainwashed to think that CO2 and methane have no effect on our climate. Read some science and stop being an ignoramous.

I’ve read the “science” it doesn’t follow the Scientific Method and has never reached the same answers twice….. proving it is NOT science.

  60. Try a cohesive argument instead.

Brex, how can I argue with someone who denies basic science?

For the record, can you confirm your position on AGW:

    1. The climate is not warming, those glacier pictures are fakes or
    2. If it is, our emissions of CO2 and methane have ***k all to do with it, or
    3. Even if the warming is real and we are the main cause of it, there is ***k-all we should do about it, so wtf? Let’s keep burning the coal!

Just for the record. I could ask the same questions of Patrick, but I won’t bother.

  61. I’ve read the “science” it doesn’t follow the Scientific Method

    LOL

So those glacier pictures are fakes, thought so.

  62. …And on “Global Warming” – granted, nobody by themselves can test and either prove or falsify the claims, but just take a look at the absurd phrases that have been trotted out, such as “the science is settled”! A phrase which ought to make any scientist BALK, no matter what it is applied to. When you hear that phrase uttered, you must KNOW that political power-hungry forces are in play, seeking to subvert science to their dogma.

  63. Good God, look at the way the EU manhandled Greece a few years ago. If that ALONE doesn’t tell you everything you need to know, if that doesn’t scream “tyranny” at you then nothing will.

Well Brex, at least we agree on that.

  64. just take a look at the absurd phrases that have been trotted out, such as “the science is settled”

I assume you agree that the science is settled on evolution? Or are you a creationist?

  65. Peter, sorry, my comment crossed with you writing your last one, but I think I’ve given an answer nonetheless.

  66. Peter, the science is NEVER settled, period. Those who trot out such a claim are always agenda-driven and must be resisted.

  67. I mean that your claims that Thatcher being voted from office by her own party and John Major winning the Conservative leadership election, winning two general elections, Tony Blair winning two general elections, Cameron being invited by the Queen to form a Government after Gordon Brown resigned in 2010 and then winning the General Election in 2015, implementing the Brexit referendum then resigning and then May winning the Conservative Party leadership election until now. And then Macron beating Marine Le Pen to become President of France.

And that somehow all this was engineered by the EU is laughable.

I mean that your comparison of the EU with Nazi Germany is preposterous.

And again, I say that with the greatest respect.

  68. Peter, the science is NEVER settled, period.

So are you a creationist? yes or no will do.

  69. Funny where the glaciers have receded they have made wonderful archaeological discoveries

    https://listverse.com/2013/02/12/10-archaeological-discoveries-made-possible-by-global-warming/

Now they say these discoveries were revealed by Global Warming……. eww scary.

What it says was long before the use of fossil fuels the ice was much further back than it is now or was 20yrs ago….. the proof being all the artifacts under the ice….

So Peter what caused the warming that allowed people to live in areas now covered by ice?

    I know Dinosaur Farts……

The Earth revolves around the Sun, the Earths orbit wobbles over centuries and the Sun burns hotter or cooler for different centuries.

The finding of fossils and proof of civilizations occupying the land that is now being exposed is more proof that the fluctuations in the climate are natural and man can’t effect them in any way at all.

  70. Peter, re evolution/creationism,I am a devout follower of neither. The science is NOT settled, that’s all I say. No, that’s not all I say, the only other thing I say is that I will not simply blindly follow anyone who says that it IS settled. They have a political agenda, that much is clear.

Paul, I don’t claim that any election WINS were engineered by anyone (alhough we’re coming close to that point these days, see USA mid-term “ballot harvesting”) but that’s another issue…. I’m only speculating that the positioning of candidates has been engineered. After all, if both the Conservative and Labour leaders are both pro-EU then it hardly matters which one wins.

  71. Peter, no it won’t do. My personal view on that issue is “something in-between”, although I veer towards a pro-Christian outlook…but even Christian denominations argue amongst themselves about this. I don’t think anyone knows the full picture, and it’s one of those things that cannot be tested unless you have a time machine, so…. what’s the point?

  72. I’d say that the EU putsch probably started in earnest with Mrs Thatcher’s forced removal and replacement by pro-EU puppet John Major back in 1990. I daresay France has probably been under the same thumb from around the same time

Speculation is distinct from reality Brexi.

  73. Nonsense post, Paul. Your view is no more or less speculation/opinion than mine.

  74. Patrick

    Thanks for that, thought so.

  75. Brex

    Thanks for that, thought so.

  76. Troll,
No one is arguing that glaciers don’t advance and retreat. The point is that these advances and retreats naturally happen over millenia, not within a human lifetime, and the reason for that is the pollutants humans have pumped into the atmosphere, from the Industrial Revolution up to the present day. What is so difficult to understand about that? It’s not ‘cow farts,’ and joking about it like that really just shows how ignorant you are on the subject.

  77. Brexi, Major was voted into a leadership position by the Conservative Party. He won two General Elections. Blair won two GEs. Cameron, elected to a leadership position by the CP was invited by the Quen to form a Government after Brown resigned. He won the GE and then executed the Brexit referendum before resigning. May was voted into a leadership position by the CP and became PM. She won a GE last year.

Those are the facts and speculation doesn’t change them.

I could speculate that they are all aliens but it wouldn’t change reality.

  78. I don’t claim to have the Gospel Truth on the EU. I simply say it as I see it, and I see it as a tyranny.
The fact that it seeks to impose socialist state-strong values is evidence enough, IMO. Socialism or “big-State”ism always equals tyranny. For goodness’ sake, in how many nations has socialism been tried over the last 120 years? When has it ever worked out? Name five, no three, no ONE fully functioning socialist country where the citizens are free and have all they need. Name one where you get boatloads of refugees desperate to get INTO a socialist state, as opposed to desperate to get OUT of it. You’d think we’d learn by now?

  79. Peter, you’re very welcome. Ha ha, “Thought so”, yep and so what? You know better of course?

  80. Seimi

Well said, but of course you know that you are wasting your time. Which is why I keep my comments very short on this subject.

  81. You know better of course?

Brex, I have read a lot about this subject. Maybe more than you?

  82. Paul(01:36), yes yes I know all that and agree, it’s still… you’re still not quite seeing what I’m saying. It;s as if you’re thinking that I’m saying that ONLY John Major by himself was an EU vichy, the rest of the CP was still completely uninfiltrated. No, I’m thinking that the infiiltration came beforehand.

  83. Peter, depends on what/whom you read?

  84. I don’t claim to have the Gospel Truth on the EU. I simply say it as I see it

Then I would suggest that you are viewing the events stated above through an extremely jaundiced prism.

The fact that it seeks to impose socialist state-strong values is evidence enough,

If that were the case then those of us that live in the EU wouldn’t have private property nor private business interests? Or perhaps you’re referring to the ‘socialist’ model of the Nordic countries?

I’ve demonstrated facts above whereas you have speculated. I’ll leave it to others to decide which is the most compelling argument.

It’s late hear so I’m off to bed. It’s been a pleasurable discussion and I hope we can do it again sometime. Good night and take care.

    Troll,
No one is arguing that glaciers don’t advance and retreat.

According to a Danish study, the average cow produces enough methane per year to do the same greenhouse damage as four tons of carbon dioxide….. They take Cow Farts seriously I don’t.

The study of Climate is less than 150yrs old, the theory that it is caused by man is less than 50yrs old. The fossil record of our weather/climate earth changes comes from ice cores they only started drilling them in 1955.

The analysis of the planets climate history is based on dirt and water sentiment trapped in those cores the data from those cores do not backup this theory of “green House Gas causing change in the atmospheric or surface temperature in fact it is exactly opposite. The ice cores show that the rise in co2 occurred AFTER significant climate events NOT before.

All climate Change predictions are based on computer models. Not once have any of these models ever given the same answer twice. Science demands the same answer every time… not once.

Yes we have polluted water air and land. In the US we have reversed more areas of man made pollution than any other nation. However even in this area their science has proven wrong the Ozone Hole is proof of their arrogance and stupidity. It was believed man created the ozone hole with refrigerant and aerosol we banned them…. the hole got bigger even with next to zero of these gases measurable in the atmosphere… but then it shrunk for a few years only to once again expand to as large as it ever was even though these pollutants no longer existed….. What do you know now it’s considered a NATURAL PHENOMENON….. Imagine that…..

I can write the formula for splitting an atom the math works every time. I can write you the formula for Gravity, for energy conductivity of a material…. we can do these things because the math works every time…..

The math to predict both short term weather and long term climate has yet to be figured out. Man has not reached that level of understanding. Every time they use their math on both weather and climate EACH TIME they get a different answer because we don’t understand the variables…. those are the facts.

If you can’t get the math to add up the same way EVERY TIME it’s NOT science.

  87. Wrong

  88. why?

  89. Is the ozone hole natural?
There’s an assumption that people make that the famous Ozone holes are man made. While some pollutants can in fact destroy Ozone, the holes themselves are in fact natural.

  90. so Phantom what is it that I wrote is wrong…….?

  91. If only those dinosaurs had paid that little bit more tax.

  92. Some dinosaurs are still with us eh Harri ? 😉

  93. Let’s try keeping it simple for those who don’t understand global warming, either deliberately or through stupidity.

Mankind is producing large amount of greenhouse gases, especially CO2.

The balance of these gases in the atmosphere, has a measurable effect on the temperature of a planet.

The planet is warming at a faster rate than it has in recent recorded history.

All of the above points, are demonstrably true. It’s not rocket science and the evidence for this, which cannot be argued against, is out there anybody to read and understand.

  94. Harri,

If only those dinosaurs had paid that little bit more tax.

Harri. I know I should be used to your ridiculous inane comments by now but I have to ask, what does this nonsense even mean?

Like yourself, Patrick and I have my many discussions about this in the past.
The problem is, he’s not interested in the facts or the reality. As you pointed out, he’s made up his mind and he doesn’t care if what he believes is based on the facts.
Nobody who reads the scientific findings on climate change, can honestly deny mankind isn’t having an effect on the world’s climate.

except the thousands of scientists that think it’s a crock…… and there are thousands. Climate Science is not science, science is based on math not faith in what you want to believe or the con you’re running. If the math does not work neither does the theory.

I’ll bet dollars to donuts that I’ve read more on the topic than you. Instead of reading just the fudged numbers put out by the sky is falling crowd you should read the opposing literature.

The report that just came out this week that says in 100yrs we’re all going to die was commissioned by Bloomberg and the other Billionaire democrat both are running for President and daddy bloomberg wants to take away your gas and your guns while he rides in his armored limo with his armed body guards.

The planet is not warming at faster rate the earth has warmed and cooled many times in the past. We have no clue how fast it has cooled/warmed in the past we know the planet at one point was much hotter hot enough to dry the oceans that covered the majority of the land as testified to by the fossils of sea creatures in the deserts of arizona and utah. It has also frozen over and been covered in ice as testified by the glacier boulders in central park prove. We have theories on how long those periods were based on core samples and archeological evidence, but neither of those sciences are ardurrate enough to give anything other than estimates to the length of time so you have nothing to compare whether we are warming/cooling faster or slower.

All your points are demonstrably false.

    here this is even better,,,,,,

    https://rightwingnews.com/john-hawkins/10-global-warming-doomsday-predictions/

    1) At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calder warned, “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind.”

    2) The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years. If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age. — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

    3) A high-priority government report warns of climate change that will lead to floods and starvation. ‘Leading climatologists’ speak of a ‘detrimental global climatic change,’ threatening ‘the stability of most nations.’ The scenario is eerily familiar although the document – never made public before – dates from 1974. But here’s the difference: it was written to respond to the threat of global cooling, not warming. And yes, it even mentions a ‘consensus’ among scientists. — Maurizio Morabito

Whoops! Those were all about global cooling, not global warming. My mistake. You see, that was the fashionable doomsday story for alarmists to go on about back in the early seventies and it essentially worked the same way. Mankind is causing the earth to cool and scientists agree we’re all going to die! Now, it’s mankind is causing earth to warm and scientists agree we’re all going to die! See? It’s very easy to get those two confused. Now, back to your regularly scheduled doomsday prophecies:

    4) According to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, we only have 96 months left to save the planet.

I’m impressed. 96 months. Not 95. Not 97. July 2017. Put it in your diary. Usually the warm-mongers stick to the same old drone that we only have 10 years left to save the planet. Nice round number. Former Vice President Al Gore said we only have 10 years left 3 1/2 years ago, which makes him technically more of a pessimist than the Prince of Wales. Al’s betting Armageddon kicks in January 2016 — unless he’s just peddling glib generalities. — Mark Steyn

    5) ABC Science Show presenter Robyn Williams panics about global warming:

Andrew Bolt: I ask you, Robyn, 100 metres [of sea level rises] in the next century…do you really think that?

Robyn Williams: It is possible, yes.

    It is possible, no, actually.

Now Glaciologist Nikolai Osokin of the Russian Academy of Science reassures Williams about global warming:

If all ice on the earth melted, the level of the oceans would rise by 64 meters. Many coastal cities would be under water, and so would the Netherlands, a significant part of which lies below sea level. However, the Dutch and the rest of the planet may rest assured: this hypothetical catastrophe could not take place anytime within the next thousand years

    6) The UK faces a “catastrophe” of floods, droughts and killer heatwaves if world leaders fail to agree to a deal on climate change, the prime minister has warned.

Gordon Brown said negotiators had 50 days to save the world from global warming and break the “impasse.”

He told the Major Economies Forum in London, which brings together 17 of the world’s biggest greenhouse gas-emitting countries, there was “no plan B”. — October 19, 2009

    7) Meanwhile, the Director of the Goddard Institute, James Hansen, recently sent a letter to President Obama saying that Obama has “only four years left to save the earth” from “runaway warming.” He told the London Observer in February that “The trains carrying coal to power plants are death trains. Coal-fired power plants are factories of death.” Hansen maintains that recent warming has pushed the planet close to a “tipping point” for runaway warming. What recent warming? Three hundredths of a degree C over 30 years, with temperatures still declining, doesn’t seem worth ruining the world’s economies. — April 20, 2009

    8) While doing research 12 or 13 years ago, I met (James) Hansen, the scientist who in 1988 predicted the greenhouse effect before Congress. I went over to the window with him and looked out on Broadway in New York City and said, “If what you’re saying about the greenhouse effect is true, is anything going to look different down there in 20 years?” He looked for a while and was quiet and didn’t say anything for a couple seconds. Then he said, “Well, there will be more traffic.” I, of course, didn’t think he heard the question right. Then he explained, “The West Side Highway [which runs along the Hudson River] will be under water. And there will be tape across the windows across the street because of high winds. And the same birds won’t be there. The trees in the median strip will change.” Then he said, “There will be more police cars.” Why? “Well, you know what happens to crime when the heat goes up.”

And so far, over the last 10 years, we’ve had 10 of the hottest years on record.

Didn’t he also say that restaurants would have signs in their windows that read, “Water by request only.”

Under the greenhouse effect, extreme weather increases. Depending on where you are in terms of the hydrological cycle, you get more of whatever you’re prone to get. New York can get droughts, the droughts can get more severe and you’ll have signs in restaurants saying “Water by request only.”

When did he say this will happen?

Within 20 or 30 years. And remember we had this conversation in 1988 or 1989. — Author Rob Reiss talks with Salon’s Suzy Hansen

    9) A record loss of sea ice in the Arctic this summer has convinced scientists that the northern hemisphere may have crossed a critical threshold beyond which the climate may never recover. Scientists fear that the Arctic has now entered an irreversible phase of warming which will accelerate the loss of the polar sea ice that has helped to keep the climate stable for thousands of years.

They believe global warming is melting Arctic ice so rapidly that the region is beginning to absorb more heat from the sun, causing the ice to melt still further and so reinforcing a vicious cycle of melting and heating.

The greatest fear is that the Arctic has reached a “tipping point” beyond which nothing can reverse the continual loss of sea ice and with it the massive land glaciers of Greenland, which will raise sea levels dramatically. — Friday, 16 September 2005

    10) According to July 5, 1989, article in the Miami Herald, the then-director of the New York office of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Noel Brown, warned of a “10-year window of opportunity to solve” global warming. According to the 1989 article, “A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ‘eco-refugees,’ threatening political chaos.”

Yet The scientists disagree with you While worthless bums like trump and Haannity agree with you

  115. co2 is less than 2% of the atmosphere and it is only one of over 1000 variables in equation.

As has been explained to you many times before Patrick, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere isn’t the important Factor. CO2 is a highly potent greenhouse gas even a small amount makes a huge difference. the main factor for CO2 is the balance. How much the planet absorbs, against how much is produced. This just shows your complete lack of understanding of the greenhouse effect.

Man is also not the main producer of CO2 on the planet even with industry, volcanoes are.

Once again Patrick, you are wrong

    https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/earthtalks-volcanoes-or-humans/

The planet is not warming at faster rate the earth has warmed and cooled many times in the past.

You really need to go back and reread what I wrote Patrick. Here let me quote it for you again.

The planet is warming at a faster rate than it has in recent recorded history.

I never said the planet was warming faster than at any time in its past, I said it’s warming faster than it has in recent recorded history. That is demonstrably true.
And there is mountains of evidence scientists can use, such as ice core samples, to detect the amount of pollution, CO2 and warming the planet has gone through in the past few hundred years. The information is all readily available, if you can be bothered to read it.

All your points are demonstrably false.

So you’re claiming that mankind is not producing CO2, that CO2 isn’t a potent greenhouse gas, and that the temperature of planet hasn’t risen in the last 200 years,
Because those are the points I’m making.

To be honest Patrick I think there’s little point in having this debate with you, if you just going to ignore the facts.
