“ONCE WERE SWEDES, INNIT BLUD?”

By Pete Moore On February 16th, 2019

It appears that the Swedish state broadcaster is about to broadcast “The First Swedes”, about the country’s original settlers (source). It’s what they mockingly describe as a “fact series”. This is the promo shot –

Yes, they really are re-writing history, not simply casting any actor. The intention is to propagate the idea, particularly among the young, that we were always immigrants, we have always been “diverse”, that white countries have never existed and that they belong to everyone.

  1. Evidence actually suggest that most prehistoric humans had dark skin, and would be, pigment wise, closer to modern day Africans than they would be to modern day Europeans. It is estimated that it wasn’t until about 8,000 years ago that prehistoric Europeans started to become much lighter.

The Cheddar Man, a human male fossil discovered in 1903 in Somerset, was subjected to tests that showed he would have been black.

So given that the first Swedes were the Bromme culture of 12,000 years ago it is simply the truth that they would have most likely had dark skin and blue eyes, something the actor in the picture seems to possess.

  2. Sure they did.

  3. Here’s the thing about science. You can believe it or not believe and it will still be true.

So if you don’t believe what the scientific studies say then more fool you.

  4. The Cheddar Man, a human male fossil discovered in 1903 in Somerset, was subjected to tests that showed he would have been black.

No he wasn’t. That was debunked. Please, he wasn’t black, and neither were the first Swedes.

  5. “No he wasn’t. That was debunked. “

    Where was it debunked?

  6. People of African descent (modern African descent) with blue eyes are quite rare. Not impossible but quite rare.

The actor in the picture has blue eyes. Now either he is one of those rare people of African descent with blue eyes … or he had his eyes altered (either digitally or by using coloured contacts).

Which means they most likely deliberately wanted someone with black skin and blue eyes. Which means they are not trying to make a political point about modern migration. They are accurately recreating what modern science tells us a man in 12,000 BC looked like.

  7. Here on Planet Earth, where the reality-based community lives, it was debunked.

    https://www.newscientist.com/article/2161867-ancient-dark-skinned-briton-cheddar-man-find-may-not-be-true/

  8. You linked to an article which is titled “Ancient ‘dark-skinned’ Briton Cheddar Man find may not be true”. Not “Ancient ‘dark-skinned’ Briton Cheddar Man find is not be true”. And it is also behind a paywall so in what manner was it debunked?

  9. Which means they most likely deliberately wanted someone with black skin and blue eyes. Which means they are not trying to make a political point about modern migration.

How do you know that? Just because they haven’t said so does not mean that they don’t have an agenda.

  10. I don’t (but then neither does Pete). The most obvious explanation is that they are trying to recreate what modern science tells us about prehistoric man.

Why else would they have a black man with blue eyes?

  11. Because they have a pro-immigration agenda?

  12. Why would casting a black man with blue eyes (a quite rare thing in the modern day but something that matches the scientific studies of what prehistoric man looked like) advance a pro-immigration agenda?

  13. Seamus –

If the evidence says that the first Swedes were black (it doesn’t), why the white man and woman too?

  14. Because I imagine it will trace a relatively long period of time. The blurb in the link you posted in the actual post states that they look at the first people who arrived at the end of the Ice Age, all the way through to the Bronze Age.

The Nordic Bronze Age wasn’t until about 1700 BC.

So it will likely start in about 12,000 BC and end closer to 0.

  15. //If the evidence says that the first Swedes were black (it doesn’t), why the white man and woman too?//

I don’t know why people are so concerned about ancient scandinavians being white-skinned.
We know that our ancestors had dark to black skin at some time in the past. The ancestors of modern Europeans came to the continent relatively recently – around 30 K yrs ago, and of course their skin was dark then.
It seems to have lightened in a few stages (which would answer Pete’s question; they most likely showed different coloured people to illustrate the different stages of pigmentation.) up to 10 K years ago.

But human beings have been around for hundreds of thousands of years; what difference does it make if whitening took place only 30,000 or 10,000 years ago.

Don’t worry, lads, we’re white now and nobody can take your white skin from you.

From SVT, the people who made the program:

“It is modern DNA technology that has given the researchers a new picture of how Sweden was colonized after the last ice age.

Genetics professor Mattias Jakobsson at Uppsala University works in the so-called Atlas project, which aims to map the genetic mass of the early humans.

He believes that a first group of pioneers came in from the south and settled in the present Skåne and Bohuslän already about 11,000 years ago, as the latest ice sheet retreated.”

“The hunters followed the reindeer herds grazing on tundra, which the melting ice left behind. Initially, it was about expeditions in the summer, but as the climate became warmer, some families began to linger all year round.

In Sweden, there are no skeletons preserved by the first immigrants, but in Europe, a handful of individuals have been analyzed. And everyone looks the same, judging by their DNA.”

“They were modern people, but they resembled none living in Europe today. They had dark skin and blue eyes – Professor of Genetics Mattias Jakobsson”

  17. Usually a bunch of guys talking about Swedish film are discussing porn.

  18. I don’t know why people are so concerned about ancient scandinavians being white-skinned.

That’s your Scandi leftists, Noel. Leftists all over the place seem to have a worry about people being white.

  19. Another interesting question is why Europeans went white, while people of the same or higher latitudes retained darker skin. Some theories are that Scandinavians needed more vitamin D after they switched from hunting to farming (which in N. Europe was around 8,000 years ago), as a mixed vegetable diet doesn’t contain as much of the stuff as meat does.
Also, people, or at least men, weren’t exposed to the sun so much after they concentrated on farming and stopped exclusively hunting, and the skin had to adapt to collect more vitamin D to compensate for the shorter exposure time.

This is supported by the fact that many E. Asians and Alaskan eskimos etc, more northern than Scandinavians, never developed the fair skin, perhaps because they stuck to hunting and did little or no farming and thus didn’t need that vitamin and thus white skin.

Another curious reason could be sexual selection. There are more fair-haired and lighter skinned women than men in Europe. It’s possible that bright colours attracted males more and led to the dominance of blondes and the fair-skinned.

  20. How insecure must you be as a person to feel threatened by what people may have looked like 10,000+ years ago?

  21. There is no possibility that Africans moved into Europe – it’s just too cold

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1064149/african-soldier-british-army-failing-to-protect-britain-cold

A FORMER soldier is suing the Ministry of Defence for £150,000 after claiming top brass exposed him to Britain’s winter chill despite knowing black Africans feel the cold more than whites.

He said the Ministry of Defence knew that people of black Caribbean and African origin are more susceptible to cold injuries.

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/01/west-african-soldier-sues-mod-over-severe-cold-during-military-e/

A soldier born in Ghana is suing the Ministry of Defence for £200,000 claiming he suffered severe cold during a military exercise in Wales.

Gershon Rawlings, 33, has brought the negligence claim arguing his West African ethnicity made him more likely to suffer than other troops.

At least 450 Commonwealth soldiers have suffered cold injuries in the past decade, according to figures released at the time of Mr Bojang’s claim earlier this year.

And they moved into Britain and Sweden 12,000 years ago – without mittens and boots?? yeah, right.

  22. Pete Moore,

That’s your Scandi leftists, Noel. Leftists all over the place seem to have a worry about people being white.

Says the man who’s more obsessed about skin colour on this site, the most of the so-called ‘leftists.’

  23. Skin colour a problem, Dave? Nope it’s the Culture Labowski! I live in a southern state and lily white trailer trash are on the same degenerate level as the Democrat controlled for decades Northern cities ghetto denizens.

  24. Dave – you’re a ‘science’ man. How is it possible for a skeleton, particulary the skull, to be examined and the race of that person determined from characteristics other than the skin colour?
