THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE

By Patrick Van Roy On February 22nd, 2019

Chicago just in February

February to Date
Shot & Killed: 17
Shot & Wounded: 83
Total Shot: 100
Total Homicides: 20

Including a one month old child shot in the head in a drive by. A person is Shot in Chicago once every 5 min 19 sec, a person is killed once every 28 min 38 sec.  Yet 24 Detectives had to waste time and resources on the Smollett Hoax.

The Police Superintendent sums it up well.

  1. Smullett was back shooting that TV show yesterday.

It will be very interesting to see if he will be quickly re-accepted into normal society, or at least trendy-airhead-emoting actor society.

  2. I’d imagine that if (or more likely when) he is convicted then he will be done (short of a come-to-Jesus moment). The comments of Superintendent Eddie Johnson, who is black, and the comments Judge John Lyke Jr, who is also black, show that there are many in the African-American community who are beyond outraged at this incident. Not only did he make it harder for legitimate victims of racism to get a fair hearing in the future – he also invoked the noose and Klan lynchings to do so.

The Superintendent, the Judge (and the prosecutor Chief of the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau Risa Lanier) being black creates an interesting (and ultimately useful) aspect to the story, as it makes it harder for anyone to claim that this is a racist Police and Judiciary keeping the brother down.

Apparently a large number of his co-stars (due to the nature of the show – overwhelmingly African-American co-stars) want him fired. If it is proven that not only that he did this (which looks certain at the moment) but also that he did it as a salary ploy then I can’t see his colleagues wanting to touch him with a ten foot barge pole.

    Yes, but.

A number of politicians ( Kamala Harris, Corey the guy who didn’t save Newark Booker, Nancy Nancy…and a large number of actors and other airheads have taken back some of their earlier, public Entirely uninformed statements

Please look at the emoting Ellen Page on the link above.

I guarantee you that many of these still think that Smollett told the truth or that even if he didn’t that he was speaking to a larger truth.

Keep in mind that Sharpton never paid a price for his involvement in the Tawana Brawley hoax, and Spike Lee still believes that Tawana Brawley told the truth.

  4. Almost all of those statements were made before the facts were known. Now don’t get me wrong – they shouldn’t have made those statements without knowing the full facts. But that is simply the modern world. People fly off the handle first without knowing the facts. And when it turns out they were mistaken then it doesn’t matter. They almost never seem to retract it.

And it likely does speak to a larger truth. The FBI’s own statistics suggest that in 2017 (data is published almost a year later so we don’t have 2018 numbers and won’t until towards the end of 2019) there were 7,175 hate crimes reported to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting program. That’s a 17% increase on the year before.

    https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2017-hate-crime-statistics-released-111318

  5. There were a number, including Ellen Page, who freaked out at people who called it an ” alleged attack ” when it was first reported.

They didn’t want to know the truth, they refused to consider the possibility that it wasn’t as reported.

And it likely does speak to a larger truth.

Did they brainwash you at uni?

This might not be the time to say things like that. In the aftermath of a dangerous fraud, when multiple other racial hoaxes over the years have been discussed.

I don’t doubt that ” hate crimes ” exist, but they exist in all directions ( blacks commit them on a regular basis )

And enhanced reporting can play a role, as does fake incidents. Like Smollett, whose story is in all the papers now.

  6. “This might not be the time to say things like that.”

I don’t care about timing. I care about the truth. In the same way that when a false rape claim occurs it doesn’t mean that rape is uncommon.

So yes Smollett lied about this. He should go to prison for it. That doesn’t the facts.

And the FBI’s own statistics show that in the first year of the Trump Presidency reports of hate crimes increased by 17%. That is a fact. Smollett’s actions do not change that.

7,000 in one year (and likely a good number unreported). And to counter they were able to find what 25 fake ones over a three year period?

  7. You assume that there were only 25 fake reports.

That is an exceptionally unwise assumption.

  8. I don’t assume that there are 25 fake reports. I’d imagine they are probably in line with the proportion of other fake reports … probably in the 2-8% range. And that was also true of the hate crimes in 2016. There would have been a certain proportion of them that were fake.

  9. Smollett has been suspended from his tv show:

  10. He is now a national figure of scorn and mockery.

But this isn’t really an isolated incident.

He was just especially stupid for paying the others by check, etc.

Tawana Brawley never went to jail, Al Sharpton never did either.

  11. Nor did anyone from Wall Street after 2008.

  12. Reprehensible as Sharpton’s actions in the Brawley case were I’m not sure they ever reached the point of illegality. And aren’t too dissimilar to the actions of The Donald in the Central Park Five case.

  13. Stupidity and greed aren’t crimes.

The trading in default swaps ( a huge part of the crisis ) wasn’t regulated much at all in the US or UK

    What laws were broken?

BTW – AFAIK there still is ineffective regulation of those things

Smollett relied on the stupidity of liberals.

For that, you can’t knock him.

  15. No

He relied on his own deep the bone stupidity

He can blame no one else, ever

Strawman alert – nobody is claiming that this is a racist Police and Judiciary keeping the brother down, but make the case against it anyway 🙂

What Smollet has done is to have broken one of the jew’s most useful tools – the fake ‘hate-crime’ and yet, even after this, their media is doubling-down on ‘racism’ and ‘hate-crime’ with whitey to blame……

Oh yes – CNN is pursuing the greater truth…….

Chris Cuomo on Smollet – “he’s not helping the cause”

  17. I’m just looking at Seamus’s ‘hate crime’ report from the FBI

    https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2017/tables/table-1.xls

One sees that anti-white ‘hate-crime’ is 741 incidents and 844 offences, whilst anti-black are 2,013 and 2,358 respectively – the implication being that whites are hating on blacks.

As we know, in the real world where the knockout game was invented, blacks commit enormously more crimes against whites than the other way round – and in spite of efforts to muddy the waters, the figures are available:

    https://www.amren.com/archives/reports/the-color-of-crime-2016-revised-edition/

And here are the %ages of blacks arrested for crime…..

    https://i2.wp.com/www.amren.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Fig-4.jpg?w=800&ssl=1

One can only conclude that the term ‘hate crime’ is a cudgel to beat whitey over the head with – and it is. I wonder who came up with that idea?

  18. Those many who blindly follow “ the larger truth “ Whenever it pops up are at the root of many of the worlds problems

They believe in “ trust, no need to verify “

  19. It makes me glad we have such strict gun laws here in the UK.

  20. Here’s the actor James Woods on the Jussie affair and, like John Wayne, Woods will never work in Hollywood again……and the comments are superb

Watching this sniveling bitch would ordinarily be a hoot. What makes it tragic, however, is that this worthless lump of dogshit would have been just fine with any two innocent white people being arrested and imprisoned for his hoax. #JussieSmollett

  21. Let’s look at ‘hate crime’……

    https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article170340652.html

The 22-year-old man suspected of shooting five middle-aged white men since last year — including four on south Kansas City walking trails — threatened in 2014 to shoot up a school and “kill all white people,” according to court records.

Fredrick Demond Scott, who was charged Tuesday in two killings and named as a suspect in three more, made those statements in January 2014 at Center Alternative School, as documented in a municipal citation for harassment.

Scott, who is black, has been charged with murder in the deaths of Steven Gibbons, 57, and John Palmer, 54. On Tuesday, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced those charges, also naming Scott as a suspect in the killings of David Lenox, 67; Timothy S. Rice, 57, of Excelsior Springs; and Mike Darby, 61, co-owner of Coach’s Bar & Grill at 103rd Street and Wornall Road.

Police said they did not know if the shootings were racially motivated.
