The Underlying Anger

By Patrick Van Roy On March 3rd, 2019

Fellow Philadelphian Michelle Malkin displays and explains the anger that even though she is speaking at CPAC both parties are facing. It’s 20 min long, but worth the time if you want an understanding of the underlying political atmosphere.

  1. I listened to six minutes of her speech. She is a very disturbed woman. Her anger is without foundation and either feigned to sell books or self-hatred. Maybe CPAC people agree with her but most Americans do not. Most Americans are pro immigrant, not anti immigrant as this harpy is. The irony is that she would not be in the US if her foreign born father was not given a study visa. It seems CPAC has degenerated into nothing more than a Trump cheering bench.

Whenever you put up these posts of hardline right wing ranters you alway they are the voice of America, the unheard real heartlands of the USA. No they are not, They are the voice of a well heard well vocalised minority. If they were what you claim, the Republicans would have a sweeping control of the house today and Trump would have had a real popular vote majority.

  3. Colm of course anyone who speaks at cpac is a hardliner of some sort but if you listened to her what she is talking about is the majority of american positions. We are sick and tired of ILLEGAL immigration.

You see how brexit has had average people wound up over there…. well that’s the ILLEGAL issue is here and it’s been going on and building since 1986 the last time we were told we would get a Wall,

    NYr

Michelle Malkin is 1st generation immigrant you ass…. her parents are Filipino who IMMIGRATED HERE LEGALLY so this harpy is someone who has earned the right to bitch after her parents had to jump through the thousand hoops to do it legally….

It is the arrogance of the left that is and always will be their undoing.

  4. Pat I think it is safe to say it’s you who are out of touch with the majority. Most here I assume are like me and consume media from a wide variety of sources and form opinions based on that, you seem to only read those who tell you what you want to hear

  5. We have an abundance of things in the US. It is a land of plenty. We have plenty of dumb people who think the likes of Malkin are thoughtful conservatives.

  6. I read 2 or 3 newspapers a day from end to end, I peruze a minimum of over 40 papers from around the world a day. I spend about 6 hours a day consuming news from everything from NYT, WSJ, CNN, FOX, Politico, The Hill, etc etc I read almost every story that Drudge links to and the same with real clear politics.

It’s not the variety EP that makes my perspective, it’s my up bringing. Here are 3 Links for you to start your day with.

The first site is not for Amateurs, the second is the most balanced, and the third is America’s number one frontpage.

  7. Mahones you wouldn’t know a conservative if they bit ya….. your a Democrat Drone who lives in the bubble.

  8. Patrick, it’s all a question of definitions, but I would consider mahons, or indeed myself, more a conservative than you are.

  9. … at least in several ways.

  10. Trump has tweeted that Malkin was a dummy and born stupid. Malkin has called Trump a fraud and a coward. They are both right.

  11. You on that side of the pond don’t understand the american definition of conservatism Noel. They aren’t the same. Calling Mahons a conservative proves that.

Mahons is an old school democrat and there is nothing wrong with that. My complaint about Mahons has always been that he does not discuss, defend, or post his views at the level of his ability. He has never given this site any honest debate.

But he is a Liberal over here.

  12. //You on that side of the pond don’t understand the american definition of conservatism Noel. They aren’t the same. Calling Mahons a conservative proves that.//

Patrick, what separates the two of you seems to be that you support Trump and open gun laws, and mahons doesn’t.

First of all, Trump is probably the least conserviative president the US has had in my lifetime, by any – even the American – definition. And supporting relaxed gun laws is hardly conservative – even Billy The Kid would have supported that.

  13. once again you miss so much.

Trump has GOVERNED so far as conservative as Reagan. He’s cut taxes, increased military spending, and is appointing constitutional judges. He is confronting our enemies overseas economically and militarily.

As for the Gun issue it just like Abortion is a fake issue. You’ll never stop abortion and you’ll never take our guns. Both of these issues are nothing but distractions.

  14. I should probably take my time and do this in a post form, but short def of The American Conservative someone who believes that a person is judged by their works and their behaviors and NOTHING else.

  15. once again you miss so much.

    Its Noel

He does tend to do that rather often.

    😀

  16. //short def of The American Conservative someone who believes that a person is judged by their works and their behaviors and NOTHING else.//

Patrick, as I said, you are far from being even an American Conservative 🙂

//He is confronting our enemies overseas economically and militarily.//

Well, he made a complete fool of himself dealing with his “great leader” Kim, along with those idiots Bolton and Pompeo. Honestly, did you ever see a more perfect Three Stooges

As for “reducing taxes and increasing spending”, is that not getting conservative economics arse-ways?

  17. Reagan – A RINO.

  18. Really he was made the fool? Are you truly and I am not saying this to start a fight, but you can’t be that stupid can you Noel?

Your link doesn’t work so I can’t laugh at whatever it is you are reading, so let me explain things…..

In Hanoi last week Kim wanted Sanctions removed and Trump wanted denuclearization,

Kim said here I’ll shut down and give you complete access to this one nuclear site if you lift ALL the sanctions.

Trump laid on the table a list of over 30 other NUCLEAR sites and said we want access to these.

Kim said no they don’t exist.

Trump said Ok meeting over, call me when you want to be serious.

Summit ends Trump goes home 3 Naval groups still sit within attack position around NK, EVERY dime of Sanctions are still in place.

Kim goes home on his 3 day train trip with ALL sanctions still in place and the knowledge that we know where ALL their weapons research and development sites are.

and you call that a loss….. Oh Ok

  20. Question.

    As an outsider looking in.

How far did Obama get on with North Korea?

  21. North Korea walked all over Obama, but the President who truly got snookered by North Korea was Bill Clinton. He gave them the ability to build nuclear bombs.

  22. Did Barry O’Blimey or Bill Clinton get as far as President Trump?

  23. No Harri

  24. Thanks Patrick

    I suspected as much.

  25. How far has turnip got? No where except maybe for the first time in history earning North Korea some empathy

One thing turnip has in common with Reagan is they turnip is driving the national debt upwards with no good economic reasoning

Malkin’s father received a study visa. She rants about people getting green cards. She wants to deny the benefit her family received to others.

You should do a post on your definition of American conservatism. It sounds like you consider Trump a conservative when actions like greatly expanding the national debt are usually not held to be conservative in the US.

Trump’s meeting with the North Korean murderer was a waste of time and showed US weakness. All US intelligence advised Kim would never give up his nuclear arms. The President should only meet such a leader after there is agreement between assigned diplomats to negotiate agreement. Trump apparently thought his magnificence would so overwhelm the North Koreans that they would fold and give away what keeps them in power. To meet with Kim and come away with nothing is to lend credibility to a murderous dictator who the rest of the world shuns. It showed US weakness, the weakness is having an incompetent president who falls for the lies whispered to him by a duplicitous murderer.
