STILL THEY MARCH

By Pete Moore On May 4th, 2019

Acte XXV

For the twenty fifth consecutive week, vast crowds of anti-Macron protestors gathered across France.

Along the way the police have meted out brutality, resulting in deaths, mutilations and uncountable injuries. Just as astonishing as the persistence of the protestors is the silence of the media. We would know nothing about this if it wasn’t for citizen journalists.

The silence betrays the lie of a free and independent media.

  1. Just as astonishing as the persistence of the protestors is the silence of the media. We would know nothing about this if it wasn’t for citizen journalists.

What an absolute, unadulterated lie as the most cursory of Google searches shows.

Speaking of ‘citizen journalists’ it hasn’t been going great for millionaire Tom Thumb on the election trail:

  2. It is an interesting thing. Writers like Pete Moore not only don’t believe the lies they write, they know their readers don’t believe them either.

  3. Pete

So presumably you support or condone the violence which has invariably accompanied these protests in the centre of Paris? You know, the burning of expensive cars, trashing of news-stands, looting from shops on the Champs Elysee?

  7. Why are you in sympathy with this lot when you didn’t support the Occupy Wall Street phonies?

You like these thugs because they cause problems for the French and not problems for you?

  8. Why are you in sympathy with this lot when you didn’t support the Occupy Wall Street phonies?

Because they are not at all the same. The yellow tank tops are authentically working class, patriotic and reactionary (no wonder Paul McMahon is opposed). Occupy Wall Street were silly upper middle class trust fund babies. Completely different things.

You like these thugs because they cause problems for the French and not problems for you?

Erm, they are the French. And they cause problems for Macron and his globalist chums. So yes, I support them. I hope they bring down Macron.

  9. Sorry but I have no idea what this is all about, What are the Gilet Jaune protests ? Like everyone else outside of France I know nothing about these marches because as Pete so rightly points out the international globalist media has imposed an absolute news blackout on this issue.

  10. They are some French, they are not the French.

They cause problems for the owners of the cars and other property that they burn, too.

I don’t think you’d be as understanding of the “ patriots “ if your property was destroyed

  11. What we are witnessing with this movement is the enduring strength of the human spirit to overcome all forms of oppression.

I can only conclude that this tweet accompanying Pete’s post is meant to be a mocking piece of satire.

  12. Mahons,
// It is an interesting thing. Writers like Pete Moore not only don’t believe the lies they write, they know their readers don’t believe them either. //

    Indeed Mahons.
What’s laughable is when Pete is asked to provide evidence, he actually provides a link to a story on the Guardian. A mainstream newspaper he regularly criticises for ignoring stories he deems important, which is reporting the very violence he claims in his article they are ignoring.

Also if we examine his second link about the violence against the protesters, we see that almost as many policemen have actually been injured as protesters have.

// According to government figures, 1,700 people have been injured and 1,000 policemen or gendarmes have been hurt in the 11 weeks of conflict. //

Also, despite Pete’s claim that police brutality has resulted in deaths, his own linked article claims that most of these deaths have resulted from road accidents and heart attacks. and that no one has died as a result of police brutality.

// Out of those injured, 100 have been seriously hurt and 11 people have now died. Most of those casualties resulted from road accidents at blockades in the early days of the protest. The government stress that no protester has dies as a result of police brutality //

But as you point out, Pete continues to make stuff up, or massively exaggerate. Even though I’m pretty sure he doesn’t believe this stuff himself, let alone the people who read it on ATW.

  13. These protesters live in one of the most high spending welfare and state protectionist nations on earth and they are marching to demand greater protections and welfare largesse. Of course it makes sense for ‘free market Capitalist champion’ Pete Moore to be supporting them.

  14. Most of those casualties resulted from road accidents at blockades in the early days of the protest.

Good catch Dave. Would that not suggest that les Gilets Jaunes are responsible for those deaths as a resilt of the blockades they created?

I’m also authentically working class Pete. So?

  15. Paul McMahon,

// Good catch Dave. Would that not suggest that les Gilets Jaunes are responsible for those deaths as a resilt of the blockades they created? //

    Cheers Paul and good point.
What I’ve found with Pete, is he’s either full on in support of something, or full on against it. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground with him. He also lies and exaggerates supposedly prove his point. Authough all it actually proves is that Pete lies and exaggerates.

  16. Some of the things Pete supports nowadays are so fake and contradictory that it is embarrassingly easy to demolish his arguments. Of course he is just ‘Trolling’ most of the time now, probably out of political boredom.

  17. Colm – perhaps that too. But it is mostly a manifestation of the right wing phenomenon of using lies to push an sgenda. True conservatives, and Moore is not one, would abhor that practice.

  18. I think a lot of that crowd have by now spun so far off the orbit of reality that they no longer recognise what is objective truth and what objective lies.

Something is “true” if it helps their cause. That’s all.

It’s at least a reminder for the rest of us of how dictatorships work: one of them gets into power and the rest are spread throughout society that they can keep the entire population blinded with lies or intimidated into silence.

  19. I don’t think it’s a matter of not recognising Noel I think it’s a matter of just not caring about nuance, facts and accuracy. Pete’s claim of alleged media silence on the LGJ injuries whilst five minutes later using an MSM centre left source to try to prove a point demonstrates this.

No doubt they think that this chaos of lies and missinformation is some kind of propaganda stroke. Pete used to be one of the more entertaining members of Rightworld, fact based impishly barbed comments on his opinions. However, for the last few years he’s went for the Rightworld lowest common denominator of any old shite to push the agenda and sold his credibility in exchange for any crappy trolling opportunity.

  20. They follow Trump, who has followed Alex Jones, who followed Goebbels

Lie big and lie often is the strategy.

  21. But it is mostly a manifestation of the right wing phenomenon of using lies to push an sgenda.

Where are the Russians? Where was the collusion which the left bet everything on? Nowhere, that’s where the Russians have always been. I said so at the beginning of that fiasco and was right all along, while the headbangers in here assured us that Russian collusion would bring down President Trump.

The left put everything on “Russian collusion”, and they have for it is the realisation that the greatest lies were told in support of an agenda to overthrow the the rightful president.

    Shush.

  22. By the way, Paul McMahon, Colm, Phantom, Mahons, Dave Alton and Noel, if all you’re going to do is come in to call people liars for not agreeing with you then you can find someone else to put up posts.

I have other things to do with my time. You can please yourself with the occasional PVR post. Maybe Phantom’s bi-annual effort. But I’m not going to bother simply for others to think they can insult me. Fuck that.

  23. Pete, it’s a blog FFS. Don’t take it so personally, we’re commenting on how your blogging has changed.

You can’t really expect to criticise the MSM for being silent on something and then contrdict it by using an MSM centre left source to prove your original point and not be questioned on it can you?

BTW, in terms of blogging, were I handed the keys of the Kingdom I’d be more than happy to blog regularly.

  24. I didn’t accuse you of lying Pete. I said you were choosing to support things such as these protests that go against everything you have traditionally believed in. If you can’t face criticism of your posts it probably is best that you don’t bother posting.

  25. wait wait I almost forgot…..

    F**K the French.

  26. Pete maybe you should slow down on how much you post and spend some more time interacting with group.

I do want to say your style and posts are both just fine and appreciated. Unlike anyone else here you put stuff up everyday. That is a chore most don’t understand, I do and on behalf of myself and on this rare occasion I do not speak for David, but I’m sure he would say in agreement with me.

Thank you for all the work you put into this site. It is greatly Appreciated.

  27. Here’s a related matter showing policing in Britain. A couple of days back, a paki was in discussion with ‘far-right thug’ Tommy Robinson, and the paki then poured his milkshake over TR and attempted to bolt.

Anyway, the footage of the ‘shaking’ is on the twitter account of a twattish barrister called Rupert Myers below……

    https://twitter.com/RupertMyers/status/1123995859111284736

Of greater interest is why South Wales Police (Swansea) would ‘like’ the assault on TR

This is Britain’s police – a shower of virtue-signalling wankers

  28. Pete Moore,
//By the way, Paul McMahon, Colm, Phantom, Mahons, Dave Alton and Noel, if all you’re going to do is come in to call people liars for not agreeing with you then you can find someone else to put up posts.//

Oh bless you, you little snowflake.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Pete, you can give it but you can’t take it. This is a forum where people are supposed to disagree as well as agree.
it’s a shame you’ve gone down this route as other posters have said, because you and I used to have some really good conversations in the past.
Tell you what Posts, from my point of view I’m not bothered if I don’t comment on your posts. So let me know if you’d rather me not comment on your posts and I won’t in future.

  29. The police response to the to the anti-Establishment Gilets Jaunes has been brutal:

    https://www.rt.com/news/457786-injured-yellow-vests-association/

According to statistics gathered by the activist group Desarmons-les (“Disarm Them”), at least 154 people have been seriously injured by police use of non-lethal weapons during protests. Of that number, 22 people have lost the use of an eye due to Flash Balls. A further five have had their hands torn off by gas canisters.

The growing list of casualties has done little to prevent police use of non-lethal weapons, who fired gas at hundreds of protesters in order to prevent them from gathering at the EU Parliament building in Strasbourg on Saturday.

  30. Patrick Van Roy,

    //F**K the French.//

I might be wrong here Patrick, but I’m getting the feeling that you don’t like the French that much. 😀

  31. There is a big anti-capitalist element in these French protests

A lot of these protesters want lower taxes yes but they also want free stuff from the government

Are you guys even aware of this?

Are you quite sure that this is a movement that you wish to endorse?

  32. By the way, Paul McMahon, Colm, Phantom, Mahons, Dave Alton and Noel, if all you’re going to do is come in to call people liars for not agreeing with you then you can find someone else to put up posts

Pete – I’ll take up any vacancy that you may have. The idiots that you named are free to call me a liar anytime, but I’ll just keep providing the truth. Here’s an example of fact that Paul tells me is a ‘conspiracy theory’ 🙂

This is from 2003, and the situation is as bad now as predicted then

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2000/sep/03/race.world

As recently as 1970, eight out of 10 Californians were white. Fuelled by immigration at its highest rate since the start of the last century, and higher fertility rates, the Asian and Latino populations of California have risen by almost a third since 1990. At the same time, with limited immigration and low birth rates, the population of non-hispanic whites has fallen by 3 per cent. By 2040, hispanics are expected to be the overall majority in the state.

Where California goes, the rest of America is predicted to follow. At present 72 per cent of the US population is non-hispanic whites; the US Census Bureau predicts they will become a minority between 2055 and 2060.

Well, California is now a shithole, and that is a real shithole, with shit all over San Francisco becoming a health hazard.

The global centre of gravity is changing. In 1900 Europe had a quarter of the world’s population, and three times that of Africa; by 2050 Europe is predicted to have just 7 per cent of the world population, and a third that of Africa. The ageing and declining populations of predominantly white nations have prompted forecasts of – and calls for – more immigration from the young and growing populations of developing nations to make up the shortfall.

Replacement theory – naw, that just a conspiracy theory. Replacement of 100-IQ whites in white countries with 70-IQ Nwords from Africa – like that would really work?

  33. Phantom, on May 5th, 2019 at 11:59 PM Said:

There is a big anti-capitalist element in these French protests

yeah – but they’re not getting support from leftists. Why is that?

  34. Phantom.

No surprise here, but I’m sort of on the fence about whether I agree with these protests in France or not. There’s a lot of stuff they’re protesting that I agree with but also a lot of stuff I don’t agree with. Things are never simple.

  35. Pete complains about the comments generated by his posts. The same Pete who when Patrick hosted a guest post by Paul McMahon accused him of facilitating “pro-terrorist propaganda”. Pot, Kettle and Black.

  38. From the post at 11.39pm, ‘Tommy Robinson’ has now put up particularly damning footage of police desertion. TR’s campaign for MEP was in Warrington and the usual vermin were present. Two women claimed to have been assaulted by the paki who was attempting (and later succeeded) to assault TR, and the police left the scene in order to facilitate the assault and what was intended to be even more. I say that because the attack on Robinson was ‘liked’ by the police:

Leftist scumbags, it amazes me that these vermin are treated completely different to Tommy, double standards and the media, police are obviously complicit in this depraved behaviour.

But, Patrick, I’m afraid the Donald is going to disappoint you again, just like he did so often before. Your last hope was Venezuela, and you were relishing US military intervention there on these pages. But then Putin called Trump, they had a wee chat, and the hopes of the war-mongers were dashed yet again.

Trump is in fact an old soft hippy Peacenik. War is Not Healthy for Children, man. He prefers to be liked by everyone. So Kim Jong-un simply gave Donald a bit of love-bombing and the Don departed smug and very pleased with himself, leaving Kim to get on with the serious business of testing missles https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-48158880.

I trust the same will happen here; unless the Izzies do the hawks a favour by staging some kind of Tonkin incident.

  45. But, Patrick, I’m afraid the Donald is going to disappoint you again, just like he did so often before. Your last hope was Venezuela, and you were relishing US military intervention there on these pages.

  46. well he didn’t complain to me and I didn’t see the remark.

Besides I did not think Pauls piece was pro-terrorist or I wouldn’t have printed it. He’s added a couple of good pieces that have generated good discussions.

  47. and yes we have ice cream trucks in Pa also……

and that’s a very apt description….. goody goody we’re gonna bomb the Persians nah nah ni nah nah.

I don;t know I keep waiting for someone to take this bull by the horns, but you’re right I get robbed at the last minute.

  48. When Pete posted his comment about Patrick posting “Pro terrorist propaganda” he was simply expressing his opinion however wrong. He was entitled to do so. By the same token he shouldn’t whinge at other regulars comments about his posts that’s the point I was making.

  49. and I agree. I just missed that comment from him or I would have gotten huffy….

Opinion Colm are like buttholes we all have them and they all stink….

  50. Ice cream truck jingles

They are unchanged over the decades.

The first jingle of spring brings a smile. Made it through another winter, here comes the summertime.

  51. Back to Gilets Jaunes, and the latest fake atrocity that the French government and controlled media fabricated has collapsed as the lie that it was – they must regret ordinary people having their own media outlets…….

    https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2019/05/04/pari-m04.html

Check how the corporate media cropped an image of a ‘black bloc’ police agitator being resisted outside the hospital by Gilets Jaunes to present the ‘black bloc’ scumbag as being OF the Gilets Jaunes and threatening the hospital.

The affair underscores an essential political reality. The Macron government, like its counterparts and bourgeois parties internationally, led by the Democratic Party in the United States, utilizes the banner of fighting “fake news” to censor the internet and social media and prevent workers from accessing alternative news sources which the government and corporations do not control. The real purveyors of fake news, however, are the government and its mouthpieces in the corporate media.

The Macron government’s lies about a non-existent hospital attack serve a definite purpose: to slander all left-wing opposition to the government as criminal and morally reprehensible and justify the ongoing unleashing of police state violence against the working class.

In February, a murky verbal confrontation between a “yellow vest” and right-wing Jewish commentator and Zionist Alain Finkielkraut was similarly used to slander the entire “yellow vest” movement as anti-Semitic.

Police were filmed looting stores during violent clashes on the Champs-Élysées in March, to which Macron reacted by blaming all the looting on the “yellow vests” and banning protests on the avenue. The government then ordered soldiers of the Operation Sentinel anti-terrorism mission deployed against the “yellow vests,” with authorization to shoot.

The collapse of this brazenly fabricated story about an “attack” on the Pitié-Salpêtrière discredits not only the corporate media that peddled this story, but all the unproven allegations the Macron government has used to justify intensifying repression against the “yellow vests.”

But what is the book Tragedy And Hope? It’s by the academic, Carroll Quigley, well-connected in the US Establishment, and it explained very much…….

    http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Banks/Tragedy_Hope_excerpt.html

Pg. 324: the powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank, in the hands of men like Montagu Norman of the Bank of England, Benjamin Strong of the New York Federal Reserve Bank, Charles Rist of the Bank of France, and Hjalmar Schacht of the Reichsbank, sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world.

A Great Man who led a great nation opposed this: he was defeated by the combined powers of demonic capitalism, and now we are at a position where we live in a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system is controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences – such as Bilderberg…….

  73. There are no coincidences in Allan’s world. Everything is nefariously planned and linked. In fact Allan probably believes the word coincidence was invented by Jews to hoodwink the clueless gentiles 😉

  74. But Brexit and the election of Donald Trump are of course based on the true will of the people, not because some nefarious ((individuals)) somehow impersonated 17 million voters etc.

  75. Paul – you linked to an article and endorsed……..

Later in the same interview, from June 2010, Farage argues Bilderberg members, along with other supposed plotters, could soon start “censoring and maybe ultimately even imprisoning those who challenge them and fight them”.

Alex Jones was one of the main reporters of Bilderberg events, and he is corporately censored – and what is ‘Bilderberg’? That needs some background, which is duly provided by an insider, Prof. Carroll Quigley, who wrote………

There’s the background, and there’s one of the conferences. So, was Farage wrong?

  76. Paul – you linked to an article and endorsed……..

Yes, Farage states something and nine years later Alex Jones (and Louis Farrakhan) is banned from social media for violating community standards.

    Spooky!

  77. Colm,
//There are no coincidences in Allan’s world. Everything is nefariously planned and linked. In fact Allan probably believes the word coincidence was invented by Jews to hoodwink the clueless gentiles 😉//

Yep. In Allen’s world fires don’t start in dry, dusty timber roofed churches arabian work done by dozens of builders by accident. No. Fires like that are started deliberately by Muslim terrorists who strangely don’t mention that they started the fire like normal terrorists would.

  78. Dave, did you watch the game at Anfield Road last night?

They’ll be talking about that match in 30 years time. Liverpool pulled off a total miracle.
    Football at its finest.

  79. Noel

I didn’t actually watch it mate because despite being scouser, I’m one of the very few non football fans who hails from Liverpool.

However, I know it was a great game, because in an incredibly rare event, my brother and his partner phoned me up to tell me what an amazing game it was.

  80. Liverpool pulled off a total miracle.

They absolutely did Noel. However, such extraordinary things don’t happen in (((isolation)))

  81. That’s right Paul (((somebody))) wants Liverpool to win the premier League. And they’ll stop at nothing to make sure that happens.

  82. Unless of course (((Spurs))) beat Ajax tonight Dave 😉

  83. It was a controlled demolition of Barcelona

A raven in the tree told me this

  84. Whichever (((team))) wins the semis tonight will of course go on to win the Champions League.

    Join the dots.

  85. Will they be presented with the Bilderberg Cup ? 🙂

  86. There are no coincidences – everything is linked. As evidence:

JFK’s head went BACK and to the LEFT.

    And…wait for it…Liverpool have a LEFT BACK!

  87. I was not in that grassy knoll it was some poor bastard who looked like me

  88. and Meghan Markle had a changeling

  89. “And…wait for it…Liverpool have a LEFT BACK!”

Ironically Liverpool’s left back getting hurt was the catalyst for them winning.

  90. Exactly, Seamus! Exactly!

I’m over in London for work and completely forgot about the match. I dislike Liverpool but would have liked to see it.

  91. It was a decent game. Liverpool were good (and ruthless when they needed to be). Barca were awful. Pretty much thought they had it won already.

  92. 🙂 🙂 :-)MourneReg at 5:49!

  93. Pete’ll be sick now.

  94. More comebacks in the Champion’s League now than when Jesus was into bringing back the dead.

  95. Two English Premiership teams in the Champions League final?

    Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Here’s an interesting read. See if you recognise anything here:

  96. Don’t you go around saying bad things about this Knight of the Round Table

  97. The conspiracy yarns about banks are weird.

For starters, while banks are powerful, they’re very far from the all powerful forces that the conspiracy guys think they are.

Apple has a market cap that is about three times that of JP Morgan, the strongest US bank. Google is almost as big as Apple.

  98. here ya go Phantom this fits

  99. I found this interesting. The flat earth cult of climate change is now pushing us into Asimov’s caves of steel.
