VOTE GREEN, VOTE UNEMPLOYMENT

By Pete Moore On June 6th, 2019

Down the workers!

Ford’s engine plant in Bridgend is set to close in autumn 2020, with the loss of 1,700 jobs […]

Ford blamed “changing customer demand and cost” for the closure plans and denied Brexit was a factor.

You don’t need engines for vehicles that won’t be built. Thanks to the cleanest diesel engines being demonised by middle class politicians and eco-commies, 1700 skilled workers will lose their jobs. This is the reality of the anti-industrial propaganda called climate change. No-one’s buying perfectly good vehicles based on sound, efficient technology. The activists feel great. The workers get an appointment down the job centre.

  1. It’s more than that. It is higher energy and labour costs due to government green legislation.

  2. How are labour costs due to government environmental legislation?

  3. The automobile industry is under pressure everywhere. A drop in demand from China has a lot to do with it.

  4. In the near future, most cars won’t have those type of engines.

    In all our countries.

  5. In the near future, most cars won’t be built in our countries. The de-industrialisation of our countries is insane yet entirely deliberate.

It may be that a significant number of people won’t want to own cars. They can ” rent ” their self driving electric vehicles via subscription, esp in urban and some suburban areas

There’s no need to buy music or movies anymore, cars may follow down the same road. A lot of young people do this now – they rent when they have the need from say zipcar, esp if they live in a city.

But they were nowhere near as “clean” as the manufacturers claimed. Remember Dieselgate?
