Dems Hold Trump Rally in Miami

By Phantom On June 28th, 2019

Someone start an investigation. All the Dem contenders are colluding with Trump. They’re doing everything they can to ensure Trump’s reelection.

Last night, they all raised their hands in support of covering illegal aliens for health care.

Back in 2009, a Republican congressman yelled ” you lie ” when President Obama denied that the Democratic position was to cover illegals in Obamacare. Well, Obama probably did lie then, they all lied. The no longer stealth position of the Democrat Party is for open borders, to have no immigration controls at all, and to give the illegal all the rights of the citizen.

Some took the position the solution to our deep health care problems was ” medicare for all “, a plan that would abolish private health care in the US and replace it with universal medicare. That is a deeply stupid position for a couple of reasons at least. Medicare intentionally underpays doctors and hospitals for their services. Cheating doctors and hospitals for everything that they do as a matter of policy will cause more doctors to retire early, more rural and other hospitals to close. Second, private health care works very well for many people. There’s no need to force it to go away. The problem isn’t private health care or private insurance, the problem is that there is no mechanism to ensure coverage for everyone.

The disgusting Kamala Harris turned to Senator Biden and said ” I do not believe you are a racist “, and then attacked his record on forced busing. Well when someone starts by saying that they’re not calling you a racist, they’re calling you a racist. And Biden’s position then was not incorrect.

We have a criminal scatterbrain president. The Democratic candidates are worse. Like Dandy Don said, turn out the lights, the party’s over.

  1. The only person that can now beat Trump is Trump himself. Biden looked weak and tired, not up to the job, in fact.

How the Party of JFK has fallen!

  2. How they’ve fallen from the party of the working man in the forties – sixties.

How they’ve fallen from even eight years ago, when Democrats pretended not to be for open borders and health care for illegals.

This is the party of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Al Sharpton. It’s not anything else.

JFK would be expelled from the Democrat party of today. The free stuff party of today is diametrically opposed to everything that JFK stood for.

  3. We have a criminal scatterbrain president. The Democratic candidates are worse. Like Dandy Don said, turn out the lights, the party’s over.

So it’s not just us then ?

Phantom, with respect, they are not talking to the likes of you ! They are talking to themselves and those like them. You’re just voting fodder, like the rest of us.

  4. They are indeed….but the all important moderates, the swing voters, are listening too.

And as it stands now, I can see many of PA and MI swing voters voting for Trump again, thanks to the Democrats.

Just when they need to prove that they’re the sober party, the Dems tack way to the left, and to imbecility.

No one who was on that stage is remotely qualified to be the leader of anything.

  5. Early debates take place when there are too many candidates to take anything to seriously. The key is for a candidate to to self destruct. You are correct that no one distinguished themselves and if the eventual winner tacts too far left Trump could get elected again.

  6. By the way, nice hat tip to Dandy Don Meredith of the Dallas Cowboys and Monday Night Football host from the 1970ies. Whenever a team was playing so badly, or so far behind, he would break out in song “Turn out the lights…”

  7. If just one of them had taken a serious, practical, centrist approach to our national issues, he or she would have stood out.

I didn’t see any of that.

Do you agree that there were no potential good national leaders on that stage?

I see endless divisive train wreck if any of them got in, with the possible exception of the South Bend dog catcher, who at least acts like a sober person.

  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtGxusvUT3k

  9. Do you agree that there were no potential good national leaders on that stage?

Castro of the Obama administration was talking about government funded abortions for “female” tran-sexuals who can’t get pregnant in the first place! What’s a steel worker, or anyone with a brain, to think about such nonsense?

Harris was too quick to pull the race card IMO.

None were serious in talking about issues that people care about.

  10. Castro meant pregnant ” trans men “, as if there was such a thing.

This is what he sees as the country’s most pressing issue. That an imaginary class of people can get freebie abortions.

    https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/27/julian-castro-debate-abortion-1385950

  11. Disasters like Trump come and go, but a situation where good people are filtered out before they can come close to a leadership position – on both sides – is a much more serious matter for any country.

American politics won’t heal until this malaise is tackled and solved. We see the same thing (increasingly) in most European countries of course, but it’s particularly crass in the US.

The Irish political line-up looks like a congress of leading statesmen by comparision.

  12. The last Republican debate at least had some serious people in it – Jeb Bush, Rubio, Huntsmann.

There was no one on this Dem stage at all who you’d want running the night shift at your local McDonalds, much less the country.

The Dems have a spiritual nut job running who spoke. She was excellent.

    https://marianne.com/

  13. Could it be that the Democrat lineup from a Star Wars bar is an admission that Trump will not be beaten? Trump clearly has momentum amoungst his followers.

On these pages a few days ago, I had some kind words for Biden. But the Biden I am seeing now has no fire in the belly, and looks like a beaten man already.

  14. It’s nice to see Phantom come to his senses and do my righting for me…..

  15. Mahons for the average American they all self destructed last night…. the will still however garner o good 60 million of the vote, because people are either to stupid or to afraid of change.

Every candidate last night besides giving illegals free healthcare they all raised their hands to decriminalize entering the country illegally… I notice all the news are running the picture of everyone being invited in with the title about the healthcare, but the very first part of that was who would decriminalize breaking into the country…

So as LA suffers from over 60,000 drug addicts living on their streets and over 40,000 in San Fran the Dems just invited millions to get in line ahead of them for free goodies.

Not to mention the shrinking minority of blacks being displaced by the growing minority of hispanics pushing them out of line that won’t matter to the 60 million ill-educated of our inner cities will march in an pull that big D letter because it stands for them….

The other 60 some odd million that work may have a problem voting for open borders and freebies all around.

  16. Charles

That skank Kamala Harris kneed him in the balls with a monstrously unfair and untrue accusation.

She called him a ” white racist ” while pretending that she wasn’t doing it.

I think that he was genuinely shocked

  17. I’m betting Harris will be the nominee…..

  18. Biden did look crest fallen. I hope he wasn’t expecting the congeniality of the Senate.

PVR may be right in that the “skank” as you call her may be the nominee. She ticks all the boxes.

  19. It can be one thug against another.

  20. lol

  21. According to Gallop the number of people answering “Not at all” to the question ‘How much do you personally worry about illegal immigration?’ is at its highest level ever. Still only 21% but still the highest it ever has been. So part of me questions whether or not immigration will have the same negative impact on the Democrats that it had a decade ago (or even in 2016).

In terms of healthcare, from a purely political point of view, it doesn’t matter if their views on healthcare are stupid as long as they are talking about it. If voters go to the polling booth in November 2020 with healthcare on their mind then the Democratic nominee wins by a landslide. Now obviously from a governance position you would want their healthcare plan to be a good plan that actually works. But from a campaigning point of view all they need is plan, good or otherwise. Because automatically at step one they will be ahead of the Republicans who don’t have a plan at all.

On Harris vs Biden I would disagree with you. Ultimately Harris went for Biden but then the other candidates were always going to do that to the front runner.

And she called him out on something that he got wrong then. Overwhelming evidence would suggest that busing was one of the most effective desegregation policies. To oppose busing was to oppose desegregation. To play the even more local version of states rights to do it is to oppose desegregation.

Having a long track record can be a good thing and a bad thing. Biden can point to a lot of policy successes. He can point to getting stuff done. But his opponents can also point to stuff that looked alright in the light of 1970s that looks appalling now. He can’t have it both ways.

  22. Biden was not wrong then.

Forced busing of young children to other cities or to the other sides of big cities was exceptionally unpopular then and would not be at all popular now.

Harris played a dirty tactic, and I hope that it harms her.

  23. “Forced busing of young children to other cities or to the other sides of big cities was exceptionally unpopular then and would not be at all popular now.”

The right thing is often not popular. But it is still the right thing. And keeping segregation just because locals like it or don’t like the steps needed to get rid of it is not the right thing.

  24. The right thing according to you.

And it wasn’t necessarily addressing any ” segregation ” either. But I’m not debating this all day.

If your Democrats want dredge up the issue of forced busing in order to die on that hill for no reason yet again, then let them.

Again, an exceptionally great night for Trump. You’d think that they were all on his payroll, they were all that bad.

  25. “The right thing according to you.”

Sure. And if the opposite was the right thing then Biden can say that. He can make that argument. I fail to see how attacking someone for doing the right thing (which is what you are claiming Harris did) is a “dirty tactic”.

“Again, an exceptionally great night for Trump.”

I disagree. Trump featured but not as much as he wants to. If it is a policy election he loses. If it is about how terrible Donald Trump is then he wins. Very few of them on the first night mentioned him at all. On the second night he didn’t dominate the debate either.

  26. She called him a racist, in a sneaky way.

No one else missed that message.

  27. “She called him a racist, in a sneaky way.”

And if he is not then he can point out how he isn’t. Having a difference of opinion is a perfectly valid thing. Saying he did the wrong thing on key racial issues is a perfectly valid thing.

  28. No.

  29. no you can never deny being a racist…… sorry

  30. “no you can never deny being a racist…… sorry”

Sure you can. It won’t come off as sincere if you have followed through on policies that have hurt black people in the past while being chummy with Dixiecrats. But you can do it.

  31. They can play the race and segregation, busing, civil rights, etc etc etc……

We Elected Barack Obama a no nothing Marxist because he was Black spoke well and wasn’t a bush or Clinton….. Race is no longer a card that can be played and achieve a gain. You can use it to beat on someone, but it will never buy another Presidential vote.

  32. I remember the busing era. We were in Catholic school so not affected. But it was very unpopular. It gutted inner cities as white flight to the suburbs occurred.
You can be like Biden and not be a racist, but be against forced desegregation of children.

  33. “We Elected Barack Obama a no nothing Marxist because he was Black spoke well and wasn’t a bush or Clinton….. Race is no longer a card that can be played and achieve a gain. You can use it to beat on someone, but it will never buy another Presidential vote.”

You didn’t elect Barack Obama. I seem to remember you opposing him.

“You can be like Biden and not be a racist, but be against forced desegregation of children.”

So let him explain that. The problem with the Harris hit on him is that he didn’t have a good explanation for his position.

  34. She very openly played an identity politics card.

The daughter of two college professors, who was saved by busing. She never would have learned to read and write, were it not for the bus company.

  35. Half of Obama’s votes were white guilt Seamus……

  36. “Half of Obama’s votes were white guilt Seamus……”

The majority of white people voted for McCain. And the majority of white people who voted for Obama were probably not doing so due to “guilt”.

“She very openly played an identity politics card.”

    And?

  37. Far be it from me to defend a Democrat on race issues. I enjoyed the circular firing squad. Biden also has to backtrack, as he did today at the Rainbow PUSH Conference, that he was wrong in the 1990ies to vote for mandatory prison sentences, along with Clinton.

no you can never deny being a racist…… sorry

I agree with Pat. It’s hard for a white person in this country to deflect the smear. If you’re not a racist, it’ hard postulating a negative. Biden could have used Hitchen’s razor. (That which is postulated without evidence can be refuted without evidence.)

  38. What none of you outside the country understand is that there is no racism in america.

Sure there are the rare and occasional bigots, but the only racism that exists is in the black community.

  39. This was a self inflicted injury. Harris went for him over desegregation the same week he talked about having good relationships with a number of key racists. Why in the name of the little baby Jesus did he even mention it? There was nothing to be gained and quite a lot to be lost. And that is Biden’s problem. He wings it too much and inflicts self inflicted injuries to himself.

“It’s hard for a white person in this country to deflect the smear.”

Again if you have consistently followed policies that help black people then it can be deflected. If you have not then you are probably in trouble.

  40. “What none of you outside the country understand is that there is no racism in america.”

Ok I know this has a lot of competition but that is probably the dumbest thing you have ever said.

  41. Again if you have consistently followed policies that help black people then it can be deflected. If you have not then you are probably in trouble.

Has nothing to do with it…… you can be black and if you’re not a democrat your racists…

There is no defense for a non-black against the charge of racism and even blacks get called racist if they’re not Dems…..

  42. Seamus, on June 28th, 2019 at 8:14 PM Said:

I stand by that statement 150%…..

Name one thing the color of someones skin prevents them from in the US.

  43. It’s a ” when have you stopped beating your wife ” question.

    The question lingers.

Kamala Harris is a filthy animal for doing that.

  44. The only racism I ever witnessed in my 58yrs of life was black people being racist against white and orientals

  45. I assumed that PVR posted this, right down to the line “We have a criminal scatterbrain president.”

I don’t know who should be more concerned, PVR or Phantom.

  46. Racism is a thing of 2 generations ago.

There are attitudes that uneducated people occasionally exhibit that’s it.

There is no job, no school, no club, that ANYONE can’t join because of color. There is no person that anyone can’t marry.

The only disadvantage a person of color has in the US are the prejudices that they carry that their family passed on to them.

  47. scary isn’t it Pete

  48. “Name one thing the color of someones skin prevents them from in the US.”

Black people are far more likely to be incarcerated (nearly five times more likely than white people). In their formative years black people are twice as likely as white people to have a family member imprisoned at some point during their childhood. And it is a problem that is getting worse. As time goes on more and more black people are being incarcerated at even greater rates than previous.

In education studies have shown that education funding cuts are more likely to disproportionately cause harm to black students. Studies show that students of color are more likely to be suspended and/or expelled from school than similarly situated white students. Zero-tolerance is more likely to be more keenly enforced against black students than white students. Academic selection is also more likely to put black and latino children into lower academic tracks than similarly situated white children. Often the criteria for these things can be subjective (teacher opinion, parental involvement etc…).

Black Americans are sicker than white Americans, and they are dying at a significantly higher rate. Black men live on average six years less than white men. Black women live on average four years less than white women. Infant mortality rates are two times higher for blacks. Even when you control for socio-economic factors, blacks have poorer health. That is, middle-class blacks have lower health than middle-class whites. In fact it is even more stark in middle class people. Middle-class whites live ten years longer than middle-class blacks, while working-class whites live only three years longer than working-class blacks.

If you treat blacks differently but don’t call them a nigger then you are still a racist. If the system treats blacks differently but doesn’t call them niggers then they are still racist.

  49. –Black people are far more likely to be incarcerated (nearly five times more likely than white people). —

Yes, they also commit a lot more violent crimes. You never thought of that one did you?

I invite you to visit America some day if you doubt that this is true.

  50. Seamus –

Don’t look at the numbers of black children aborted. It’ll blow your socks off.

Those black statistics were much less stark, much closer to such stats for white Americans, before leftists decided to “help” blacks with Great Society and welfare programs.

Marriage, criminal conviction and employment rates for blacks were close to those for whites until the 1960s.

  51. The only people who treat people of color differently are Democrats.

  52. Nearly all of the democratic candidates on stage over the two nights would make a much better president than Trump. The election is sixteen months away. The democratic nominee will probably have a good healthcare position. Trump will have nearly four years of failures to defend.

If Biden is the nominee and Obama campaigns for him, he will do exceptionally well with the black vote. Harris was low-blow and it will haunt her. She lied about Biden’s position on busing and assailed someone quite popular in her party. Biden could have hit back with her deplorable record as a prosecutor, but that is not his way.

Most of the democratic candidates were substantial, a number were very weak. This so-called debate is a kind of ‘get to know who is running’ exercise. Sixteen months is a long time away. And, Trump and his gang keep blundering at home and abroad.

  53. “Yes, they also commit a lot more violent crimes. You never thought of that one did you?”

And I guess they are naturally unhealthy and stupid as well? That it is all their fault? That there is no impact that the system is having?

  54. when their family unit and culture was destroyed by the federal government then yeah they are naturally unhealthy and stupid as well…. because people who don’t grow up in a household with both a mother and father with a majority not finishing high school yeah they are naturally unhealthy and stupid as well.

  55. They’re in jail more because they commit way more crimes.

You forgot to mention that in your original screed.

Criminals belong in jail, regardless of race.

  56. up until the “new deal” the blacks had a solid community. It was oppressed by the democrats who were still suffering from the DIXIE mentality.

Their day had finally come through pacifism and righteousness when King was killed and the movement was hijacked and sold into a new slavery.

  57. no offence Charles with the “dixie” mentality cut

  58. https://nypost.com/2019/06/27/dad-allegedly-punched-killed-5-year-old-son-for-eating-fathers-day-cake/

A Wisconsin man allegedly punched and killed his 5-year-old son after he got angry the child had eaten his Father’s Day cake, according to prosecutors.

How is a government program supposed to fix this?

  59. Patrick, none taken.

  60. events like that occur everyday and it doesn’t make headlines…..

I say with all seriousness you do not know the horror that surrounds us. The inner cities have become hell holes of drugs and despair.

  61. appreciate charles.

  62. So NYr you have no problem with the US not having a Border?

  63. –Biden could have hit back with her deplorable record as a prosecutor–

    Yes.

He chose not to get into a wrestling match with a pig.

But I don’t know if that can continue.

  64. The problem isn’t private health care or private insurance, the problem is that there is no mechanism to ensure coverage for everyone.

Does this really mean EVERYONE? Look at what’s coming over the unprotected borders of the US……

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7184639/Hundreds-Haitian-African-migrants-riot-shelter-Mexico.html

Since late 2018, Mexico has seen an influx of migrants from Haiti, Cuba and Africa that have crossed its southern border with Guatemala in hopes of reaching the northern border crossing with the United States to seek asylum. Pictured above are migrants on a bus in Mexico

These creatures are going to pay whitey’s pensions, yeah?

The situation in the UK is that the British Medical Association wants to make the national Health Service the Everyone’s Health Service, and I pay for it!

    https://www.bma.org.uk/about-us

The British Medical Association (BMA) is the trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK.

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/06/26/think-tank-opening-nhs-migrants-will-result-huge-inflow-of-health-tourists/

On Tuesday, an overwhelming majority of delegates at the annual conference of the British Medical Association, a union which represents 155,000 doctors, called for the abolition of all charges by migrants to use the NHS, which would effectively turn the National Health Service into the International Health Service.

Health tourism is believed to cost British taxpayers between £200 million and £2 billion every year. However, Dr Jackie Appleby, who proposed the motion, calls the millions — and potentially billions — of annual lost healthcare funding “peanuts in the grand scheme of things”.

  65. “What Kamala said [ to Joe Biden ] was a fair shot,” said New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

    Of course she did.

If they think that such strategy will help, they’re in for a very rude awakening.

  66. How did a mother and two toddlers get from Haiti to Mexico in the first place???

  67. The more I see of Gillibrand, the less I like.

  68. PVR

“So NYr you have no problem with the US not having a Border?”. I did not say that. I think we need much improved immigration laws and procedures which Trump has failed to produce. Instead of fixing the problem he made it much worse.

  69. Gilibrand is utterly disloyal.

As we’ve said before, very many in the Democratic party, including big donors will never forgive her for what she did to Al Franken.

She was handed the job of US senator by then Governor Paterson, at a time when she was not well known, when Hillary resigned to take the Secretary of State gig She wrote a bio, and didn’t mention Paterson or the very great thing that he had done for her. Paterson noticed.

    NY

What’s your theory on how the border should be protected against illegals crossing it without permission

  70. Phantom

“He chose not to get into a wrestling match with a pig.

But I don’t know if that can continue.”

Biden may think she will not remain in the race much longer. She may have gotten a temporary boost from last night, but I doubt she has what it takes.

  71. I think we need much improved immigration laws and procedures which Trump has failed to produce

I think the onus for this lies at the feet of Congress, both Democrat and Republican. If Congress had been willing to deal with some form of wall or fence, Trump would have caved on many an item.

  72. NY

Her dirty blow may have been designed to garner black support.

I would love if that didn’t happen.

They know this guy, and they more than we I think would know just what she did.

  73. Phantom

“What’s your theory on how the border should be protected against illegals crossing it without permission.” First, the problem has to be addressed at the cause in Central America so many fewer people want to leave their home countries, that takes care of the supply side. Second, strict enforcement of identity by employers, that takes care of the demand side. Third, those who still want to come to the US apply in their home countries at in-country US offices. Then there would be multiple well staffed points of entry. You should keep in mind that this massive problem started when Trump became president and ask why that is.

  74. Charles

“I think the onus for this lies at the feet of Congress, both Democrat and Republican. If Congress had been willing to deal with some form of wall or fence, Trump would have caved on many an item.” I disagree. The president is responsible for getting legislation he wants passed by congress. LBJ is a good example of how it is done.

  75. NY

There was a very big problem before

The Republicans are poor but the Democrats are making this much worse by becoming more open borders by the day, by increasing the attractions to come here illegally every day, as they did last night when they promised a health care benefit to those who come here illegally.

Might as well put up a Las Vegas type neon sign saying come on over and a fleet of luxury buses to drive them the entire way.

  76. “There was a very big problem before.” Were there children in cages? Were troops used to help out border agents? Were tens of thousands kept in dingy compounds? Before Trump it was a minor problem if that, Trump turned it into a major problem for political reasons.

“health care benefit to those who come here illegally.” If there is a bad traffic accident, should EMS ask for citizenship papers before treating the injured? Savannah Gunthrie asked a ‘got-ya’ and disingenuous question.

  77. So Phantom, black people commit more crimes and so because of that they deserve to have lower healthcare and bad education?

  78. Were there children in cages?….. yes

Were troops used to help out border agents?….. yes

Were tens of thousands kept in dingy compounds?…. no they were set free to overwhelm our system.

Before Trump it was a minor problem if that, Trump turned it into a major problem for political reasons….. BULLSHIT during Obama he opened the flood gates or do you conveniently forget the 10s of thousands storming across riding on top of trains etc….

The only problem Trump caused was to try and stop it.

NYr sadly you have become severely impaired since Trump became president. You have TDS worse than Phantom.

  79. Seamus, on June 29th, 2019 at 11:26 AM Said:

    Seamus wake up please……

72% of Black Children are raised in single parent homes 88% of those kids are below the poverty line.

When you have a poor kid with no parental supervision that drops out of school and does drugs they are unhealthy criminals. Those conditions exist in the black community because of the Democrats and their policies.

  80. “When you have a poor kid with no parental supervision that drops out of school and does drugs they are unhealthy criminals. Those conditions exist in the black community because of the Democrats and their policies.”

    What policies?

  81. There is a list of multiple policies. First you have to understand multiple factors after the civil war the southern democrats did everything they could to negate the freedom the blacks gained from the war. They formed the military wing of the democrat party the KKK and they instituted segregation laws these were all democrat policies.

The blacks migrated to the major cities mostly in the north concentrating their population in the inner cities which over time became democrat controlled that along with high taxes and regulations forced all manufacturing out of these cities collapsing the job base. Which lead to the new deal and the final nail in the black community.

there is a lot more than that but that’s it in a nutshell

  82. So what ongoing policies are the Democrats doing that is causing problems in the black community?

  83. Welfare as a lifetime benefit

  84. Policies have been tried to correct the problem. The most significant being charter schools. One of the first thing Obama did as President was ban all charter schools in DC and aid Democrats fighting them in all major cities.

  85. “Welfare as a lifetime benefit”

So taking black people off welfare (and the subsequent negative impacts that would have – children going without clothes, heated homes, food etc…) would all help the black community?

“The most significant being charter schools.”

What benefits do charter schools have on education outcomes? Universal benefits I mean. There is some evidence that charter schools have been beneficial in some areas, but negative in others.

  86. When you lie to a person their whole life telling them that because of their skin color they don’t have a chance and because of that you need white democrats to even the field you might as well hammer the bolt that keeps the chains on them.

  87. “When you lie to a person their whole life telling them that because of their skin color they don’t have a chance “

    Where does anyone say that?

  88. What benefits do charter schools have on education outcomes? Universal benefits I mean. There is some evidence that charter schools have been beneficial in some areas, but negative in others.

In the inner cities the charter schools have a 98% graduation rate and a 70% higher education placement rate. The public schools have a 57% dropout rate and less than a 20% higher education placement rate.

Inner city families kill to get their children in these schools.

  89. Where does anyone say that?

It’s a main plank of the democrat platform.

  90. Seamus, on June 29th, 2019 at 1:21 PM Said:

You don’t just cut families off…. that’s dem spin. You train them for work, and you make welfare a limited benefit that you can’t live off your whole life.

There are other factors that must also take place…. like job restoration to the inner cities.

  91. “In the inner cities the charter schools have a 98% graduation rate and a 70% higher education placement rate. The public schools have a 57% dropout rate and less than a 20% higher education placement rate.”

The overall performance of charter school students relative to demographically similar district schools students is mixed, and the results vary considerably among and within states. The major reason for increased performance is that they exclude children who are less likely to succeed. Many charter schools use placement tests and require students to repeat grades to ensure that students meet grade-level expectations. Students who are placed back a grade or who are retained in grade often decide instead to return to public schools.

  92. “You train them for work, and you make welfare a limited benefit that you can’t live off your whole life.”

And what happens when a person doesn’t find work?

  93. “It’s a main plank of the democrat platform.”

Where? Show me where the Democratic platform says that.

  94. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/charters-not-outperforming-nations-traditional-public-schools-report-says/2013/06/24/23f19bb8-dd0c-11e2-bd83-e99e43c336ed_story.html?utm_term=.e796530abc30

Researchers at Stanford University’s Center for Research on Education Outcomes looked at test data from charter schools in 26 states and the District and found that 25 percent of charters outperformed traditional public schools in reading while 29 percent of charters delivered stronger results in math. That marked an improvement over a similar 2009 study by the same research team.

But 56 percent of the charters produced no significant difference in reading and 19 percent had worse results than traditional public schools. In math, 40 percent produced no significant difference and 31 percent were significantly worse than regular public schools.

  95. “One of the first thing Obama did as President was ban all charter schools in DC and aid Democrats fighting them in all major cities.”

Where did Obama ban charter schools? They seem to be going strong in DC.

  96. The major reason for increased performance is that they exclude children who are less likely to succeed. Many charter schools use placement tests and require students to repeat grades to ensure that students meet grade-level expectations.

That called culling out the degenerates….. It’s not your fault Seamus you don’t get it.

Charter schools are safe zones for inner city parents who don’t want their children to become convicts. The competition for these schools is intense among the inner city blacks. I have to change locations I’ll be back in about an hour and flesh this out for you, because the stuff you put up is spin.

  97. “That called culling out the degenerates….. It’s not your fault Seamus you don’t get it.”

No it is called getting rid of people who will lower your numbers.

  98. no if you have 30 kids in a class and 20 of them have no interest in learning. That curse the teachers out, attack and rape other students the ten who want to learn should be punished?

Or should an environment be provided for the ten to learn?

  99. One of the largest donors and organizers for the Democrat Party is the Teachers Union. Charter Schools interfere with their monopoly.

The welfare of the students to the Union and the Dem Party is not important.

  100. And if you have 30 kids in the class and 20 of them are going to fail the course then you have a 33% pass mark. But if you get rid of the 20 then you have a 100% pass mark. Then you can claim you are better than the public schools (who can’t so brazenly get rid of the 20).

  101. Ok so typical liberal don’t take care of the good kids lower the standards so the animals do well…..

  102. “Ok so typical liberal don’t take care of the good kids lower the standards so the animals do well…..”

Or maybe don’t call poor people animals. Or label kids bad just because they don’t meet academic standards. Or throw a huge number of people out without basic levels of education and then complain about crime and poverty in their communities.

  103. Charter Schools provide an environment that the kids of the parents that care to see their children excell get that opportunity.

You have to apply, their scores are counted, more importantly their discipline record is evaluated.

The BIGGEST sin of Charter Schools is the majority are NOT union shops.

  104. No the biggest sin of charter schools is they selectively take in children and then claim they provide a better standard of education. They don’t. The cook the books to make it appear as if they do.

  105. Bull you lack the truth.

Our inner city schools are centers for violence, drugs, and rape. They are the dumping grounds for the poor and criminal element to store their children for 8 hours a day. The teachers are not allowed to discipline the children or defend themselves and they are “encouraged” to pass the kids along even if they never opened a book.

  106. Yet you make it seem that if all those public schools were charter schools that it would be better. It won’t be. The reason charter schools do better is by excluding those who will bring their standards down. They don’t raise standards. They just cull those who will lower them.

  107. Seamus the public school system in every major city in the US no longer educate. The are daycare centers for the children of uneducated criminals and those trapped in poverty to house their children for half the day.

Not all people in the city are animals and there is a group who would like to see their children do better. The RAISE their children they don’t let them roam and prowell the streets like feral animals.

They want their children to escape the hell they live in and charter schools provide that path.

Now personally I believe in HomeSchooling even though when my children were of k-12 age my sister was head of the Largest Teachers Union in Pa and I could guarantee my children were well placed.

Instead one Homeschooled until the last year of High School who is now about to start work on her doctorate program and the other forced us to send her to public school starting in 7th grade. She’s an Ambulance EMT.

  108. So improve the public education system.

  109. They don’t EXCLUDE anyone…. not everyone can qualify.

There is a big difference, one you refuse to see.

  110. Seamus, on June 29th, 2019 at 3:35 PM Said:
So improve the public education system.

can’t be done…. the education system is run and controlled by Marxists and SJW. It is more important that Johnny accepts that even though he has a penis he can still believe he’s a girl rather than understanding that 2 + 2 = 4.

  111. “They don’t EXCLUDE anyone…. not everyone can qualify.”

Which means they exclude people. If you set a barrier to people accessing the school then you are excluding people. They do so so that they can cook the books. If you only allow in smarter children then you will have better results without doing anything.

  112. “can’t be done…. the education system is run and controlled by Marxists and SJW.”

    Sure it is.

You literally wouldn’t recognise a Marxist if they hit you up the head with Das Kapital.

  113. does Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge cook the books?

can just anyone say I’m going to that school and you have to accept me….. NO

  114. No you wouldn’t, you’ve been fed socialism your whole life and were never told it was Marxism.

  115. “does Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge cook the books?”

No. But then they don’t claim that they could run a public education system better than anyone else.

  116. “No you wouldn’t, you’ve been fed socialism your whole life and were never told it was Marxism.”

Nope. What Marxist aspects of public education are there?

  117. you WERE fed Socialism your whole life and were not told it was Marxism

  118. “you WERE fed Socialism your whole life and were not told it was Marxism”

Nope. What Marxist aspects of public education are there?

  119. Nope. What Marxist aspects of public education are there?

    roflmao…. god 90% of it.

  120. “roflmao…. god 90% of it.”

    Such as?

  121. here lets take it from another angle

Cultural Marxism in Education: The Gathering Revolt

For decades now, American schools corrupted by cultural Marxism have been eroding the moral fiber and judgment skills of schoolchildren. Unless sensible parents and teachers put a stop to the indoctrination, today’s free speech-crippling political correctness, tolerance of immorality, and lack of knowledge of our country’s birth will continue to grow until America is no more. To stop the indoctrination, parents and teachers must understand how cultural Marxism came to permeate school curricula.

In the 1920s and 1930s Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci, who argued that traditional values must be obliterated in order to free “oppressed” social groups, called for eliminating social decorum and glorifying perverse behavior in order to destroy the Western middle class and collapse society from within. Translated into today’s terminology, the plan prescribed the commandeering of news and entertainment media, religious and financial institutions, organized labor, health care, and education.

Gramsci’s cultural Marxism began to reach throughout society when Frankfurt University’s Institute for Marxism — renamed the Institute for Social Research and informally called the Frankfurt School — fled Nazi Germany, took up temporary residence at Columbia University in 1933, and then, during World War II, began using Gramsci-derived “critical theory” to “deconstruct” American society. German-born philosopher-writer Herbert Marcuse and other Marxists carried cultural Marxism beyond Columbia, and progressives adopted the disease as a weapon of “change” to be deployed within the education system.

Education system, indeed. The Frankfurt School’s specialty was political correctness. The goal was to control social discourse on culture, politics, and economics and hush debate over middle-class moral decay. A critical tactic dictated by political correctness — demonizing people who question progressive wisdom — is illustrated by today’s Democrats and media calling tea-partiers racists and extremists for wanting to shrink government. The same kind of one-sided thought control renders schoolchildren captive to left-wing agendas.

In the mid-1950s, Marcuse drove political correctness to new depths, proclaiming it unacceptable to criticize any manner of sexual behavior. Marcuse’s Eros and Civilization urged people to engage in “perversions” to soften the sting of capitalism’s alleged enslavement. The new and improved political correctness became a darling of progressive education schools, rounded out the arsenal aimed at mainstream America, and ushered in early-childhood sex education that facilitates premature and unhealthy sexual experimentation.

Since the 1960s, Gramsci’s ghost has been creeping throughout education schools on the backs of the rabid academic herd. A list of ideological progeny reads like a “Who’s Who” of collectivist ideologues: Pentagon bomber William Ayers, anti-homework and anti-competition preacher Alfie Kohn, America-hater Noam Chomsky, communist Van Jones, and progressive Bible-thumper George Lakoff, to name a few. Education, social studies, and literature curricula burst with gibberish on social, environmental, and climate justice as well as multiculturalism, diversity, moral relativism, and moral equivalence — all derived in some way from cultural Marxism.

Though cultural Marxism has gained momentum in education for forty years, the freedom-loving, self-reliant character of a reawakened America soul can stop the disease cold. So camouflaged has been the use of Gramsci’s brainchild that most education school indoctrinees — K-12 teachers — have never really weighed the consequences of conditioning students to reject a moral and prosperous America. While education is home to a disproportionate number of anti-capitalist and often anti-American progressives eager to “change the world,” the majority of teachers are traditionalists unconsciously following the herd. Loud and informed parents can sound the necessary wake-up call.

  122. https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Cultural_Marxism

This conspiracy theory hinges on the idea that the Frankfurt School wasn’t just an arcane strain of academic criticism. Instead, the Frankfurt School was behind an ongoing Marxist plot to destroy the capitalist West from within, spreading its tentacles throughout academia and indoctrinating students to hate patriotism & freedom. Thus, rock’n’roll, Sixties counterculture, the civil rights movement, the anti-war movement, homosexuality, modern feminism, and in general all the “decay” in the West since the 1950s are allegedly products of the Frankfurt school. It’s also the work of the Jews.

The conspiracist usage originated in Nazi Germany, where Kulturbolschewismus (“Cultural Bolshevism”) was used to abuse political opponents. In particular, Jews purportedly were secretly orchestrating the spread of Communism (Jewish Bolshevism) as well as promoting sexual & gender permissiveness (“sexual Bolshevism”).

If anyone rants about “Cultural Marxists taking over culture!”, feel free to remind them that they’re spouting literal Nazi propaganda updated for the modern era.

  123. Ok so it’s all an Alan theory are schools aren’t populated by commie socialist marxist teachers……

You see when you go there it tells me A) you really have no clue what goes on in the US, and B) you’re mind isn’t open to hear any other views than what you have preformulated in your head.

You see and this is a problem I run into all the time.

The Marxist/Socialist/Communist/Progressive belief system of how mankind should work has been a huge force in America from the Turn into the 20th century 1900… on.

I don’t look down on communists I look at them as a viable political belief system… mind you it doesn’t work but it has existed for over 100yrs. Progressives/Socialists just lack the balls to call themselves what they are, and they’ve changed the words so that today the majority of people that preach communism don’t even know they are.

The only one in these two debates who understands where his beliefs come from is Bernie.

  124. “Ok so it’s all an Alan theory are schools aren’t populated by commie socialist marxist teachers……”

    Pretty much.

“You see when you go there it tells me A) you really have no clue what goes on in the US, and B) you’re mind isn’t open to hear any other views than what you have preformulated in your head.”

Or I’m immune to your conspiracy theory bollocks. There is simply no evidence to suggest that Marxism has any role in the American education system.

  125. That’s a real shame Seamus…..

    A) you insult me twice…..

    B) You assume that I can’t make and prove my position.

    C) You prove you aren’t interested in knowledge just crap that backs up your point of view.

All of which destroys the chance for a debate that might enlighten one or both of us.

  126. “A) you insult me twice…..”

    Where?

“B) You assume that I can’t make and prove my position.”

You haven’t made or proved your position. You have posted conspiracy theory nonsense.

“C) You prove you aren’t interested in knowledge just crap that backs up your point of view.”

If you have any information or proof of your claims you would have posted it by now.

“All of which destroys the chance for a debate that might enlighten one or both of us.”

Which is another way of saying you have no information, you have no proof, you have nothing to back up your conspiracy theory nonsense, and so don’t want to discuss this any further as your lack of information or proof would be exposed.

  127. you called me a conspiracy kook twice……

How do you post proof of what the education has morphed into since the 60s… ?

I have posted numerous times on this site the origins of the American Progressive how they are american communists and the roots of it.

You say I’m crazy, I have no information and I don’t know what I’m talking about, yet I live here, I have experienced the American Academic System. I went to an Ivy League School and had to deal with the nonsense first hand.

I raised two daughters very actively and as a choice Home Schooled.

The American left has long ago adopted the Communist Manifesto as it’s core. In the US Socialism and Communism were dirty words so they called themselves Progressives.

Over the past 60yrs they have taken over the American Education System. They have removed the basic tenets of our society and culture and replaced them with Marx and Lenin instead of Locke and Montesquieu, Franklin, Jefferson, and Hamilton.

I have witnessed over my lifetime this attempt “to fundamentally transform” my country.

in Education they succeeded and the effects are starting to take it’s toll.

  128. “you called me a conspiracy kook twice……”

Because you posted conspiracy nonsense. That isn’t an insult. Just facts. If you don’t want to be accused of posting conspiracy theory bollocks then don’t post conspiracy theory bollocks.

“I have posted numerous times on this site the origins of the American Progressive how they are american communists and the roots of it.”

    Yes conspiracy theory bollocks.

“You say I’m crazy, I have no information and I don’t know what I’m talking about, yet I live here, I have experienced the American Academic System. I went to an Ivy League School and had to deal with the nonsense first hand.”

I said if you had any information or proof that you would have posted it. The fact that you have not posted that information or proof is a pretty good indicator that you have none.

“The American left has long ago adopted the Communist Manifesto as it’s core. In the US Socialism and Communism were dirty words so they called themselves Progressives.”

Any evidence of that? Other than you conspiracy theory nonsense?

“Over the past 60yrs they have taken over the American Education System. They have removed the basic tenets of our society and culture and replaced them with Marx and Lenin instead of Locke and Montesquieu, Franklin, Jefferson, and Hamilton.”

Any evidence of that? Other than you conspiracy theory nonsense?

  129. good day

  130. So that is a no. You have no evidence to back up your claims.

  131. no it means you are clueless as to which you speak.

There are multiple aspects about the US that you don’t grasp you’ll never get them from CNN international or goofy crap like this.

nor will you get an understanding of anything about the US from talking with Americans of only one view.

Call me crazy, a conspiracy kook, a barbarian, or anything else you want it doesn’t make me wrong and by acting they way you have you’ll never be able to show me in where in your view I am wrong and why.

  132. “INSIDE EVERY PROGRESSIVE IS A TOTALITARIAN SCREAMING TO GET OUT”

  133. so tell me Seamus to you what is a communist?

Have there ever been any “Real” communists?

Little pure by the numbers marx marianettes?

    That’s like a pure capitalist… such things don’t exist.

Look at me I’m a capitalist I believe every man should squeeze every drop of profit out of every transaction he makes. Yet I support the need for welfare, medicaid unemployment because people fail.

I am an unapologetic follower of Christ that was raised a catholic yet I support a woman’s right to chose an abortion and advocate for the death penalty.

So define for me your definition of a communist and I’ll define mine. I’ll bet yours is a non-existent faery tale creation where mine will be dark ugly and real.

But I’m just a conspiracy kook.

  134. You posted a conspiracy theory. I pointed out that it was a conspiracy theory. And now you are losing your shit because of it. The secret to not being accused of being a conspiracy theorist is to not post conspiracy theory bollocks.

“There are multiple aspects about the US that you don’t grasp you’ll never get them from CNN international or goofy crap like this.”

    I don’t watch CNN.

“Have there ever been any “Real” communists?”

    Sure.

“I’ll bet yours is a non-existent faery tale creation where mine will be dark ugly and real.”

No a communist is broadly speaking one who tries to put Marx and Engels’ works into practice.

“no it means you are clueless as to which you speak.”

So show the proof. You made a claim now show the proof. Show the role that Marxism has in the American education system. This seems to be your thing. You can’t admit you got something wrong. You made a claim that is incorrect. You were challenged on it. And now you can’t take it.

  135. to show the proof is a post that covers 90 years of manipulation of American Society which isn’t worth getting into because you already said it was kook conspiracy theory and me along with it. So why bother.

no I’m really pissed at you so it ain’t worth it….. you didn’t challenge me you called me a kook.

  136. You didn’t challenge me you called me a kook

I don’t think that was the case at all Pat.

  137. “no I’m really pissed at you so it ain’t worth it….. you didn’t challenge me you called me a kook.”

I think anyone who reads this thread knows that isn’t true.

You put up something that was false. I challenged you on it and you lost your shit because of that. If you are that insecure in your own beliefs then maybe that should tell you something.
