EXCITING TIMES IN BRUSSELS

By Pete Moore On July 16th, 2019

The EU Parliament votes today on who should be the EU Grand Poobah. The candidates are:

A) Ursula von der Leyen, or;

B) Ursula von der Leyen.

The good news for fans of wacko identity politics, EU armies, eco-communism and centralised command economies on a Soviet scale is that this might be your day. For anyone with a brain and an ounce of self-respect, the great dissident Lord Farage says what we all know, deep down, is the truth –

  1. Nigel Farage makes Wimston Churchill seem like a pygmie in comparison. He is our saviour. We are so blessed and fortunate to be sharing the air that he breaths. ❣️🇪🇺

  2. The results are in! How has this example of mass democracy played out? Gosh it’s so exciting …

Ursula von der Leyen has been elected by the European Union Parliament to replace Jean-Claude Juncker as EU Commission President.

Wow, what an upset. But well played to her. It’s a mark of how formidable she is that she won despite not even being on the ballot in the first place.

  3. The irrelevant rantings of a failed politician and a ragtag bunch of silver spoon elitists, far left loonies and professional politicos.

  4. We’re leaving your EU because of him. Some failed politician.

  5. Don’t count your Brexit chickens yet Pete. It was an absolute certainty we were leaving back in March wasn’t it as you kept saying ?

  6. How many votes did the failed politician get to become Brexit Party leader Pete?

    Democracy in action.

  7. No, I wasn’t saying. What I say is never trust the Tories. Yet again I was proven right.

Now away with your anti-democratic extremism, Colm.

  8. Pete, was it a simple majority or a two thirds majority that voted the Nige as leader of the Brexit Party?

  9. Paul is suddenly keen to discuss “a failed politician”.

Let’s stick to his EU instead.

  10. Pete’s predictions are always so accurate too Colm:

Pete Moore, on June 30th, 2016 at 7:18 PM Said:

Trade negotiations can and will be negotiated with fair or unfair outcomes although to leave the club and still expect to get membership discount is folly.

What’s this membership discount nonsense? They benefit from our trade. They become more wealthy by it. That’s the point of trade. Your local Carrefour doesn’t charge you to enter. They want you in there.

German industry has repeatedly said, since last week, that the single UK market is to stay open for business. Berlin will comply, therefore the EU will comply. The UK is the single largest market for EU exports. It will remain that way. It is non-negotiable while everything else is on the table.

    Our position is very strong.

We know that the two-year clock starts ticking when Article 50 is triggered. We do that and wait for them to agree to our terms. As the clock counts down they will become more panicky. German industry will get heavy on Berlin. In the end we get our way.

If President Trump backs us up, by the time we finish Brussels will be paying for the wall

  11. Paul is suddenly keen to discuss “a failed politician

Actually I’m keen to discuss the democratic credentials of the failed politician’s new ego viechle.

Sauce for the goose and all that old boy.

  12. The EU Parliament votes today on who should be the EU Grand Poobah. The candidates are:

    B) Ursula von der Leyen.

The trouble is, I do not know who to vote for, their so much alike.

    Oh, wait, I’ve spotted the flaw – I don’t get a vote !

  13. Mark, did you get to vote for the Nige as leader of the Brexit Party? How many people did?

Who are you voting for to replace Theresa May as next Brit PM?
