Irish Eyes are Smiling

By Patty On July 22nd, 2019

I tend to agree with the sentiment that golf is a good walk spoiled…except when it’s not. Yesterday, at the British Open at Royal Portrush, Irishman Shane Lowry won and his jubilation is contagious on this Golf Digest twitter feed.

Best quote yet, sent to me by a golf friend, this is Open Champion Shane Lowery talking about the crowds at Portrush when he travels to Memphis to play at the next Event (WGC event):

“The crowds were amazing at Portrush as next week I will be playin front of a man and his dog”

  1. Hmm, erm, cough .. The Open. The Open.

    Carry on.

  2. That was one joyous occasion yesterday.

The Irish / Northern Irish golfers are great pals. You’d think that Graeme McDowell had won the thing himself the way he was hugging Lowery’s dad at the end.

    Good show, everyone.

  3. Hello Patty…..

    you’re missed.

  4. Agreed. Patty’s OTT Trump worship is bloody ridiculous but yes I miss her presence here too 😉
