GLOBAL WARMING ONLY AFFECTS THE LITTLE PEOPLE

By Pete Moore On August 1st, 2019

Look, I’m not interested in so-called global warming. I’m interested in how the Bolsheviks use it as a Trojan Horse to steal my money and diminish my liberties, but not in so-called global warming itself.

When will I be interested? Probably never. But certainly I will not assent to doing one thing about it unless and until the rich, famous and powerful stop traveling, stop buying stuff and stop preaching to people who don’t have their platform.

When Bono and DiCaprio stay at home in their hair shirts they then have the right to open their gobs about so-called global warming.

  1. I recall that Al Gore lived/lives in the most enormous home with electricity use that is much higher than that of most people or families.

    where’s Peter….lol

It doesn’t get more hypocritical than A-listers jetting in on private planes to bemoan climate change at Google’s private party in Sicily this week.

  3. Peter’s no hypocrite.

Many celebrities and rich people and politicians are.

Look, either we can influence global warming or we cannot.

If we can, and most sane people believe we can, then none of the above comments is in any way relevant to the subject. It is so vitally important that it must be considered alone. Complaining about the hypocrisy of Gore or Bono is a subject for another day and is a completely differrnt topic.

  5. Bang on target –

    @Martin_Durkin

‘Climate’ is a stick to beat the masses. The elitist Greens are offended by cheap vulgar mass-tourism, mass-production, mass-consumption. ‘Things aren’t expensive enough’! They are alarmed, not by ‘Climate’, but by the rising power of the tawdry masses.

  6. Pete

Peter would be the most focused and informed on this subject over time.

Is he a high end snobby elitist?

  7. Ill-informed Phantom, ill-informed.

  8. Ixnay

  9. So is global warming a communist conspiracy to redistribute wealth or a elitist conspiracy to keep the working classes poor?

  10. I would never call Peter a hypocrite…a cult member yes… hypocrite no

  11. Look, I’m not interested in so-called global warming.

Yes Pete, we know that. But the glaciers and the sea ice are melting even more rapidly than predicted by “the alarmists” as recently as 2007. They predicted then that the Arctic Ocean could be ice-free in summer by 2070, but they are now saying that 2030 looks more likely because the rate of warming since 2007 has been much greater than predicted. The permafrost in Alaska and Siberia is melting so fast that settlements are being abandoned as houses collapse and vast quantities of methane gas are released into the atmosphere to accelerate the warming even more.

The fossil fuel denialists lik you have often sneered at the climate models as being unreliable, and it turns out they were right, but only because the models have been shown to be too conservative. England had its hottest ever temperature last week. No cold year record has been set since 1963 but ten warm year records have been set since 2002.

It’s easy to sneer at jet-setter eco-warriers like Prince Harry. But it doesn’t change the fact that we need to stop burning fossil fuels asap. Our grandchildren will inhert the wind and curse us for our stupidity and selfishness.

  12. PVR

Look up the meaning of cult. Here, let me help you out: Cults ignore all evidence that they are following a bullshit system of belief. This defines the global warming denialists who see more and more evidence of a warming planet but cling more and more to a cultish belief that the climate is cooling or that the scientific evidence is all faked. They switch from one “explanation” to another from month to month, despite the fact that all of those “explanations” have been repeatedly discredited:

    “It’s cooling, not warming!”
    “It’s summer weather, that’s all!”
    “The glacier photos are faked!”
    “The temperature records are faked!”
    “Mars is warming!”
    “Glaciers are growing on Antarctica!”
“We had a foot of snow in NYC today!”
“The climate has always changed over time!”
“We need CO2 so more of it must be good!”
“Scientists were predicting an ice-age in 1970!”

All of the above are lies. Check them out here:

  13. check at the site created by the cult…… lol

Sorry the only things that can effect climate are the sun and the earths rotation around it…. any other belief is not science it’s voodoo cultism.

  14. Peter.

Factual and accurate posts as usual mate.
But, as I’ve said before, you’re wasting your time on here.

  15. Sorry the only things that can effect climate are the sun and the earths rotation around it…. any other belief is not science it’s voodoo cultism.

LOL. Do you believe in the Tooth Fairy?

    Yeah, thought so.

  16. Thanks Dave, you’re right. But when I see bullshit posts like this I have to respond.

  17. Patrick Van Roy,

Sorry the only things that can effect climate are the sun and the earths rotation around it…. any other belief is not science it’s voodoo cultism.

The atmosphere has the largest effect on the climate.
That’s why Venus is hotter than Mercury, even though Mercury is a lot closer to the sun.
Your understanding of basic science is appalling Patrick.

  18. Dave

Patrick thinks that Darwin was a cultist. Nuff said.

  19. I understand Peter, and I commend you for it.
Your scientific knowledge on the subject of global warming is impressive mate. And that’s coming from somebody who actually good friends with a climate change scientist.
But people like Patrick and Pete Moore are not interested in the truth.

  20. Cheers Dave.

  21. Peter.

Patrick thinks that Darwin was a cultist. Nuff said.

Absolutely spot on mate. Patrick, like Allan, agrees with the science that doesn’t go against his worldview.

  22. atmosphere is created by the Sun reacting with the earths H2O because THE EARTHS ROTATION AROUND THE SUN is in what’s called the “goldilocks zone”.

If the Earth did not orbit the sun where it does it would have no atmosphere.

Darwin came up with a good “Theory” but it has not been proven. We have not advanced enough scientifically yet to find the physical evidence.

  23. Science is NOT arrived at by CONSENSUS…… cultists

  24. Yes, Adam and Eve were hunted by dinosaurs and the planet is only 10,000 years old at most and fossil fuels are a god-given gift for us to exploit as man subdues the planet to his wishes. We are eight billion strong now but we should aspire to 80 billion because it is our god-given destiny. It says so in the Bible so we don’t need all those godless commie scientists to tell us otherwise.

The above reflects mainstream opinion in the GOP which controls the USA and will probably continue to do so for the next five years at least. Patrick is pretty mainstream GOP in his beliefs, pro-gun, pro-war, anti-choice, anti-science.

  25. The planet is a minimum 4.2 Billion years old according to carbon dating. fossil fuels are a god-given gift for us to exploit as man subdues the planet to his wishes along with everything thing else of this world.

And I’ve never subscribed to Adam and Eve.

  26. Good God !

The earth’s climate has always changed and will continue to do so long after we have gone. The issue here is that has mankind made things better or worse ? But before that we first must ask what influence the Sun in the sky has ? Because to me that is more significant than us mere mortals, rich or not.

  27. “So is global warming a communist conspiracy to redistribute wealth or a elitist conspiracy to keep the working classes poor?”

    Hahaha

  28. Similarly we can listen to the lectures about borders and Christian morality once Pete has stopped crossing them, agreed that they should all be put back where they were, repented of all all his sins and given all he owns to the poor. After all who needs a second coat these days, it’s pretty warm out.

  29. So is global warming a communist conspiracy to redistribute wealth or a elitist conspiracy to keep the working classes poor?

It’s both, of course, and more.

Left wing politics has lost the arguments. No-one with a brain cell will deny that capitalism and free(-ish) markets are, by a million miles, the best ways that humanity has found to increase wealth, productivity and equity. In fact there are no other ways.

So the left has been pushing the scam in order to confiscate our money and liberties by these other means. “Give us your money or the planet will die” is all they have left.

Crony corporatists see which way the wind is blowing, so of course they’re willing to jump on board. Many fortunes will be made via the new eco-commie agenda.

  30. Pete Moore

You have a point about capitalism. But it doesn’t follow that ever-increasing CO2 emissions must be tolerated because the alternative is communist slavery. We need to recognise that we have an existential problem on our hands and that the solution means ending the use of fossil fuels asap. Let capitalism play its part in that by all means, but if it refuses it will be swept away as an ancienne regime just as surely as the French one in 1789 was swept away, because it had outlived its usefulness.

  31. And 95% of scientists are in on this secret communist cabal plan?

  32. That’s right Seamus.

  33. Seamus,

And 95% of scientists are in on this secret communist cabal plan?

That’s right Seamus. But remember, the exact same scientific method works for the parts of science that Patrick and Pete don’t disagree with.

  34. Nothing to see here, please move along:

“The frozen extremities of the northern hemisphere are melting at a near-record rate as heatwaves buffet the Arctic, forest fires tear through Siberia and glaciers retreat on Greenland fjords and Alpine peaks. Unusually high temperatures are eating into ice sheets that used to be solid throughout the year, according to glaciologists, who warn this is both an amplifying cause and effect of man-made climate disruption across the globe…

The Russian government has belatedly declared a state of emergency in four Siberian regions and reportedly sent troops to help extinguish forest fires that have ripped across an area the size of Belgium.

This follows record-high temperatures in several locations. Last weekend, Norway registered its joint hottest day ever. More than 20 areas in the north of the country have recently experienced “tropical nights”, with temperatures above 20C from dusk until dawn.

In the Canadian Arctic, which is warming two times faster than the global average, locals have suffered record wildfires, and permafrost is melting decades ahead of predictions. Last month, the far northern community of Alert, Nunavut, registered a record-high of 21C, which a local meteorologist said it had never been seen that close to the pole.

European mountains have been affected too. Authorities have warned that the slopes below the Matterhorn’s 4,480-metre peak are increasingly prone to avalanches and landslides because the ice-core is warming. High-altitude lakes of meltwater have also been reported in the Mont Blanc mountain range in France…”

  35. the sky is falling and we’re all gonna die…… but if we all turn the world control over to the gweenies ……..

    what a maroon

  36. So a heatwave is climate change…. a weather event ?

Once again these cultists can’t even keep to the rules of their own religion…. “Weather isn’t Climate” that’s what we’re told when the weather supports us, but when it supports your fake dream then you can use weather….. Hypocrite

  37. “We are on track for the period from 2015 to 2019 to be the five hottest years on record,” said the UN secretary-general, Antonio Guterres, calling the battle against climate change the “race of our lives, and for our lives”. He said: “This year alone, we have seen temperature records shattered from New Delhi to Anchorage, from Paris to Santiago, from Adelaide and to the Arctic Circle. If we do not take action on climate change now, these extreme weather events are just the tip of the iceberg.”

This year also brought the hottest June. All of the months of 2019 so far rank among the four warmest. But July in particular made climate history around the world. France saw its previous record highs smashed, when temperatures reached 42.6C in Paris – a temperature of a typical July day in Baghdad. The northern city of Lille saw 41.6C, which broke its previous record by 4C, while the rest of northern France also experienced devastating wildfires – normally a rarity in the region.

Temperatures broke a 75-year-old record in the Netherlands (Gilze Rijen, 40.7C) while Germany (Lingen, 42.6C) and Belgium (41.8C) also set new national records. Even in Helsinki, Finland, the mercury rose to a record 33.2C, while parts of the US also suffered record-breaking hot conditions.

The high temperatures stimulated ice melting in Greenland, which had already seen an extraordinary melting event between 11 and 20 July this year. Polar scientists believe that 2019 could set new records for ice loss in Greenland. In the Arctic and Greenland, the heat sparked massive wildfires, producing CO2 emissions equal to those of all of Colombia in 2017. Hundreds of wildfires, some of which could be clearly seen from space, ravaged Siberia, affecting over three million hectares of land.

Experts say the heatwaves are linked to human activity, which has more than doubled their probability in some locations.

  38. “Weather isn’t Climate” that’s what we’re told when the weather supports us, but when it supports your fake dream then you can use weather….. Hypocrite

“We are on track for the period from 2015 to 2019 to be the five hottest years on record,”

That’s not weather, that’s the climate changing. I could call you names but I can’t be bothered because you continually out yourserlf as a willing ignoramus.

  39. still citing weather….. this year we have had…… That’s weather my friend.

There is no empirical evidence of man-made global warming whatsoever. There has never been and there never will be. Yes, there is a theory and plenty of scientists have an ‘opinion’ on the matter. But opinion is not science. Other Scientists have other opinions. According to your “scientists” we have to stop using fossil fuels in 10yrs or it’s too late….

Well then we’re doomed sunny because they world can’t stop using fossil fuels in the next 100yrs let alone ten.

  40. “We are on track for the period from 2015 to 2019 to be the five hottest years on record,”

That’s not weather, that’s the climate changing. I could call you names but I can’t be bothered because you continually out yourserlf as a willing ignoramus.

a 4 year period is now “A Period of climate”…… can you show me where you got that time scale from?

Lets see every 4 years is a period of climate… ok what was the 4 year climate before that ? What caused that 4 year period to end, or this one to begin ? How long was the transitional period ? One, two, or three months ?

  41. There is no empirical evidence of man-made global warming whatsoever. There has never been and there never will be.

For you and your fellow-cultists that statement is 100% correct. No amount of evidence will ever convince a Creationist that Darwin is correct and no amount of melting ice will ever convince you and your fellow-cultists that man-made global warming is a fact. And you deserve to be labelled cultists because not only do you reject all evidence to date, you also rule out any possibility of future evidence changing your view.

And yet you have the nerve to accuse decent and honest scientists who base all of their work on EVIDENCE of being cultists. LOL. As the evidence piles up that you are wrong you just get more and more hysterical and ridiculous in your denialism. Look up cognitive dissonance syndrome and you will be looking at yourself in the mirror.

  42. Lets see every 4 years is a period of climate

So four years is now “just weather”? LOL.

If I was you I would stop digging.

  43. No amount of evidence will ever convince a Creationist that Darwin is correct and no amount of melting ice will ever convince you and your fellow-cultists that man-made global warming is a fact.

Darwin has nothing to do with global warming yet you you bring him up like there is some significance there…. why?

If you had half the brains that I give you credit for having Peter you’d have figured out from my answers over the years that I believe Darwin’s theory is sound it is only that we humans aren’t advanced enough to find and quantify the evidence. All life as we know it evolved from the waste dust of stars…. amino acids and proteins.

As someone who believes that one plus one equals two I’ve looked at the models I’ve read the papers fore and against and the man made global warming theory has holes in it big enough to drive a train through…. sorry it’s just shitty math.

  44. “Wildfires are ravaging parts of the Arctic, with areas of Siberia, Alaska, Greenland and Canada engulfed in flames and smoke. Satellite images show how the plumes of smoke from the fires, many caused by dry storms in hot weather, can be seen from space. While wildfires are common at this time of year, record-breaking summer temperatures and strong winds have made this year’s fires particularly bad.

They are now at “unprecedented levels”, says Mark Parrington, a wildfires expert at the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (Cams)….”But temperatures in the Arctic have been increasing at a much faster rate than the global average, and warmer conditions encourage fires to grow and persist once they have been ignited.”…

“Global satellites are now tracking a swathe of new and ongoing wildfires within the Arctic Circle. The conditions were laid in June, the hottest June for the planet yet observed in the instrumented era. The fires are releasing copious volumes of previously stored carbon dioxide and methane – carbon stocks that have in some cases been held in the ground for thousands of years.

Scientists say what we’re seeing is evidence of the kind of feedbacks we should expect in a warmer world, where increased concentrations of greenhouse gases drive more warming, which then begets the conditions that release yet more carbon into the atmosphere. A lot of the particulate matter from these fires will eventually come to settle on ice surfaces further north, darkening them and thus accelerating melting. It’s all part of a process of amplification.”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-49125391

  45. The last UK top ten cold year since 1884 was 56 years ago, but the hot year records have been broken ten times since 2002. Obviously it’s “just weather”:

“The top 10 warmest years on record in the UK have all occurred since 2002, a new analysis from the Met Office says. Its State of the UK Climate report shows that 2014 remains the warmest year in a temperature sequence now dating back to 1884.

Despite last summer’s blistering heat, 2018 only places it as the seventh warmest year on record – as the statistic is based on temperatures all year round. When it comes to the coldest years, the most recent in the top 10 was in 1963. The patterns of warm and cold years in Britain are a clear signal of climate change, say scientists…”
