ATW COMEDY CORNER

By Pete Moore On September 7th, 2019

To Gloucester, where it was all calm and peaceful, until a mad Frenchwoman enters, stage left –

To be honest I was enjoying that. It was both amusing and a reminder that we’re not like these emotional Continentals. They’re always mad at something, always screaming about something. That’s why they never get anything done.

And then she said that she’s a teacher. That explains a lot, frankly.

  1. Have you read most of your posts in the last week Pete? You’ve been far more emotional that that French girl.

  2. She’s excellent

  3. A Leave voter complaining about emotion? Oh the irony.

Here’s a point by point demolition of Leave’s emotive rubbish:

  4. Why is it not in the least bit surprising that Pete Moore would get enjoyment out of the sight of a woman crying?

  5. This is the ideal thread for Patrick to post his famous three word phrase about the French 😉

  6. Pete’s point is that the woman has her facts completely wrong.

  7. Seimi –

If women have equality then they get treated equally. Now, do you mean that foreigner demanding that my vote be annulled?

  8. How do you know what Pete’s point is Phantom and what facts has this woman got wrong!

  9. Pete’s point is that she’s French and she’s female and her hormones are all over the place so she obviously needs the calm and wise guidance of God’s greatest creation, an Englishman to put her right 😉

  10. She says that Brexit will wreck the lives of her children.

She clearly seems to believe that she, or both she and her presumably British born children, Will not be allowed to continue to live in the UK.When Brexit takes place.

Brexit may be the worst idea ever, But you can’t go around just making stuff up. Which is exactly what she is doing in the most emotional way.

Her position and that of the kids post Brexit would be pretty much the same as it would have been If the UK had never joined the EU.

Which would be a pretty normal state of affairs. She having residence rights, the children presumably having both British and French citizenship.

I know British / American married couples resident in the UK and in the US. The position of those bi national families is pretty much the same as the position that this this woman’s family will have post Brexit.

    What’s the big deal

  11. Phantom’s getting a taste of what it’s like to debate with Remainers.

Stone cold facts vs “but she’s crying!”

  12. I don’t think that that was Pete’s point at all but while we’re on the point,

of course it’s a fact that the uncertainty over Brexit and her residency and employment status is having a detrimental effect on her life. If you were so uncertain about control of your life in such situations being taken away from you I’m sure that it would have an effect on you too. I know it would on me.

no, I think Pete’s point was ‘look at the stupid foreigner getting annoyed over Brexit’

But you can’t go around just making stuff up. Which is exactly what she is doing in the most emotional way.

Then why have Brexiteers and particularly Pete Moore been doing it forever?

The position of those bi national families is pretty much the same as the position that this this woman’s family will have post Brexit.

    What’s the big deal

You don’t know that and this is the big deal, as we spoke about recently:

  13. BoJo is actually going to visit Ireland on Monday, the day the UK parliament is prorogued.

I trust he’ll get to see this

  14. Pete did make a strong and correct argument on a post about a week ago regarding how post Brexit UK should treat its EU residents but the point is up until now EU citizens have been able to work here on the understanding that they enjoyed freedom of movement and exactly the same rights as all other UK and other EU citizens here. Now and without them having any say in the matter that status has changed and they are told they must apply for residency.

Its all fine and well telling them it will be fine. The govt. will allow them to stay. They now have to rely on Bureacratic efficiency and correctness being applied 100% which as we know from the Windrush scandal here in the UK is a big ask. They will inevitably be worried and concerned however much they are reassured. That is human nature. However mucn Brexit is presented as being benign to European residents here, they are bound to see it and the uncertainties around it as being a hostile envonronment.

  15. Pro Boris / Brexit supporter arrested today in London

Go back to your own fucking country

The girl above probably has grounds to be concerned.

  16. Oh I don’t know Paul, I’m sure it was only said in a jocular “Brexiteer Humour” we love ya really sort of way !

  17. Anoth female continentalist foreigner getting emotional over Brexit:

    https://twitter.com/AlexTaylorNews/status/1166810390552023041

    Hilarious, eh?

  18. Hilarious, eh?

Yep. She could have gone online and spent 20 minutes filling out a form to guarantee her residency. Instead she did nothing for three years and ended up on Sky News crying.

Are there any EU jihadists who aren’t completely dumb?

  19. Like Anna Amato you mean Pete?

Did you even listen to the interview? She said the government have to start the whole process over again

  20. I love the fact that we have a new Pete Moore “ Just trust the government and follow their rules and all will be well “

So different from the old Pete Moore “ Anything run by government is doomed to fail “

  21. Excuse me Colm?

I love the fact that we have a new Pete Moore “ Just trust the government and follow their rules and all will be well “

When did I say that? Your quotation marks suggest I said it. I know how sensitive you are about such things, so if you could show me where I said anything like that it would appreciated.

Of course I believe that anything run by government is doomed to fail. Like leaving a simple trade block.
