  1. no comments on an interview about Brexit…. ?

    surprising.

  2. Here’s a comment

    Bollocks to Brexit !

  3. Bollocks to Brexit !

Colm’s new catch phrase to rival Pat’s about the French.

I don’t know if the blog’s about Brexit Pat. I imagined the interview was a spurned party founder griping about having her authority usurped and wasn’t prepared to sit through a half hour interview for it. If it’s carried by AltNews it’s a pretty foregone conclusion what it’s going to contain anyhow.

Still, interesting to see the extreme right drop another great white hope. They really are a fuckle bunch.

  4. no comments on an interview about Brexit…. ?

Because some of us have been out all day.

The interview sheds no new light on Nigel Farage. The Brexit Party is a broad church, probably the broadest in terms of the political beliefs of its members and supporters. But it’s focused solely on British independence. That’s how ex-Marxists and free marketeers sit alongside each as MEPs in Brussels. They agree that the task is simply to get us out of the EU. What follows is for the future.

Farage knows that anything else is a distraction, particularly immigration. The media will leap on anything to paint the Brexit Party as extremist, so the party simply doesn’t go there. He tried to keep UKIP on that path and saw the press tear into it every time a member tweeted about immigration.

Yes, we want to halt mass immigration and keep our country for ourselves and our people, but that’s impossible in the EU so getting out of it is the first task. Everything is pointed at that initial goal.

Interesting. That at least answers a few of David’s questions.

But another question would be how many potential BP voters are turned on or turned off by this soft policy on immigration.

  6. The simple logic that the uber Breiteers refuse to grasp:

Jean-Claude Juncker says “the EU is in no way responsible for any kind of consequences entailed by the Brexit, that’s a British decision”

  7. They really are a fuckle bunch.

I’m guessing that was a typo, but somehow that word works perfectly 🙂

  8. no, it was very deliberate.

Yes, that’s my story and I’m going to stick to it.

  9. That could be a new word to describe Brexit supporters. Those who like to ‘fuckle’ Everything up 😉

  10. Any bets that Pete will have a post on Labour by tomorrow, presuming he’s recovered from the rugby of course.

  11. go Chelsea……

    I know wrong sport………
