Everbody Plays The Fool

By Mahons On October 11th, 2019

Rudy Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York and personal attorney to the President, had lunch yesterday with two fellows who happened to have one way tickets out of the country and who were later arrested and each held on $1 million bail each. The arrests were the result on an investigation by the US Attorney for the Southern District, a Trump appointee. Ironically, Giuliani used to hold that very title.

It is reported that both men were involved in a conspiracy to funnel foreign money into US elections, both helped him on Ukraine and both have been charged with campaign finance violations. Both gentlemen are US Citizens born in former Soviet republics. President Trump said he didnt know them, although both allegedly had dinner with him at the White House last year.
I’m sure it is nothing.

  1. Good show for the FBI in pursuing this. Trump and bad news Barr must be in a blind rage.

They must be ” dirty cops ” who did the work here!!

Maybe the swamp is starting to be drained after all, despite the catastrophic top leadership.

  2. It’s not impossible that Rudy Giuliani could be arrested and imprisoned himself.

    Rule nothing out.

  3. Ahem

  4. I enjoyed this…..

Message to the Swamp: American voters still are supposed to be in charge.

That means they get to decide who gets elected. For example, in 2016, they elected a man named Donald Trump. He is still the president. Go suck an egg if you don’t like it.

It also means that American voters get to choose where our soldiers, sailors and airmen get deployed around the world. They choose that by electing “representatives” to Congress, who vote to declare wars. They also get to choose the commander in chief of America’s mighty military. (Again, see previous paragraph about a man named Donald Trump, who is still president. And feel free to go suck another egg.)

In addition, American voters get to choose — again, through the “representatives” they have elected — how much money we spend on bombs and ammunition and where we deploy them. Most important, American voters choose where all that firepower gets launched and who, exactly, gets killed by American bombs and bullets.

That is the way this is supposed to work.

  5. Patrick, you are muddling up the thread of this post with Off Topic opinion pieces. If they are important to you feel free to create your own posts. Thanks.

  6. sorry……

  7. No worries.

  8. President Trump said he didnt know them, although both allegedly had dinner with him at the White House last year.
    I’m sure it is nothing.

I’m sure you’re right Mahons, nothing to see here, please move along, fake news media, yada yada yada.

  9. So lets talk about this perfectly timed and coordinated arrest shall we…. Rudy has quietly at least to the public been working this case with these guys since January the Day before the Ukranian Ambassodor is supposed to testify they arrest these two on Election Interference from Ukraine….. nah there is nothing coordinated in that.

  10. It’s a conspiracy.

    They’re all Alex Jones now.

  11. The two gents had one way tickets and scheduled to depart the US that day. The Lead prosecutor was appointed by President Trump. Are you suggesting anything untoward?

  12. There’s nothing in the Constitution that says you can’t buy one way tickets.

    So they must be innocent.

  13. Here’s an interesting photo, Trump and Rudy (scroll down and you’ll see Pence) and the two perps suspects:

    https://twitter.com/RealRBHJr/status/1182702767334481920?s=20

  14. Round trip tickets will very often cost nearly the same as one way tickets.

These Giuliani Trumpsters are either complete idiots, or they really, really had no intentions of returning home.

  15. I ask who is being played the fool ?

Giuliani has been working in the back issue of Ukraine for almost a year. While the AG and IGs were working from inside the US Rudy has been working on Ukraine.

Ukraine was heavily involved in the Clinton/Obama shenanigans from the year leading up to the Election. Ukraine was involved in the frame. The were also involved in the email cover up of the DNC when they were “Hacked” So as they call Ukrainians to testify behind closed doors in a secret hearing whose testimony we don’t get to see or hear….. we only get what Schiff says. A known and proven Liar about facts regarding Trump.

They arrest these two the day before testimony begins for effect. Lets see if the charges actually stick

  16. Rudy, once one of the most admired political leaders in the world, has been in the service of a common thief for the past couple of years.

This is so hard to understand.

  17. At this point I would say any Trump supporter.

  18. Do you know how ridiculous you two sound……

  19. Your friends were arrested yesterday because they were about to flee the country.

  20. How long have they been investigating Trump 3yrs…. they’ve found NOTHING.

You are both surrounded by like minded people who still believes him, who still follows him, the smelly braindead wallmart shoppers…..

So anyone who isn’t convinced by the total lack of evidence that has been produced well they’re all just dumb because in spite of the lack of evidence he’s guilty and only an idiot can believe different…..

Arrogance of the like even you two rarely show.

In the meantime while you kvetch over how guilty Trump is…. as soon as you find a crime 4 investigations are about to drop.

When they drop if actual evidence is produced by Barr of wrongdoing in the FISA process tell me what are the two of you going to say ?

If no one gets indicted I’ll say I was wrong if Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, or Yates gets indicted what will you say then ?

  21. Why did these guys buy one way tickets out of the country?

People don’t usually do things like that.

  22. Ukraine was heavily involved in the Clinton/Obama shenanigans from the year leading up to the Election.

What shenanigans and what evidence do you have?

    Asking for a friend.

  23. Who knows what does the evidence say ? Can you provide a link ?

I’d say IF they had one way tickets did they know they were about to be arrested ? When did they purchase them…. you have to provide source information to even consider whether or not it’s credible.

If you’re citing NYTs or WaPo it’s not credible. Please provide the source of the one way ticket claim.

  24. I’d say it don’t look too good to buy one way tickets to paradise.

  25. How long have they been investigating Trump 3yrs…. they’ve found NOTHING.

Just like Trump’s bitch Rudy has found NOTHING against Biden in Ukraine after two years of digging for dirt. That’s why they decided to lean on Ukrine for help by cancelling the US aid in May and dangling its reinstatement in July. This stinks.

  26. What shenanigans and what evidence do you have?

    Asking for a friend.

The framing of Trump, the cover up of the Clinton and DNC emails on the DNC servers.

Evidence to be presented shortly by AG Barr.

  27. A little Ukranian bird told me about the one way tickets.

  28. So Peter you know what has or has not been found by Giuliani and the AG ?

How do you know ? Has the hearings started ? Have the investigations leaked ? If so please provide a link I’d like to read it.

    So you made it up……

  30. Major media including your Hannity News service on Sixth Avenue NYC are reporting the one way tickets

I’m sure it’s all fake news.

They had round trip tickets and were returning next Tuesday.

  31. So Peter you know what has or has not been found by Giuliani and the AG ?

But you know? Is it public news or just Fox-Limbaa talking points?

  32. Provide me a link to the source please…..

  33. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/prosecutors-giuliani-associates-arrested-while-trying-to-board-international-flight-with-one-way-tickets

  34. Aw Phantom, say it ain’t so!

  35. Not sure why this is being disputed.

Prove to me that the sea is wet, Peter.

No I don’t know which is why I have said if I am wrong I will post it.

Publicly exposed information of texts from the FBI say they knew the Steele report was bullshit. Ohr’s testimony before congress was that he warned Comey and Lynch that the info could not be verified.

The Report was used to get 4 FISA warrants. This is all info already testified to under oath.

The 4 People above all signed affidavits that the info they Presented to the FISA court was verified. All 4 are guilty of multiple felonies as the evidence that is out in public already shows……

They are all about to have to testify why they submitted hearsay as evidence to spy on a political opponent. That’s just one part of what is about to hit Peter.

Now you Mahons and Phantom can nay say all you want but that and much more is coming….

The reason it was being disputed was you say things without a source often. Usually I can check for myself, but where I’m at right now I can’t.

  38. Patrick you’ve been promising arrests of many non-Trump affiliated people to no avail. And here we have two arrests of Trump affiliated people. What are your on topic thoughts of their arrests?

  39. They keep promising arrests, but only guys on their side keep getting arrested.

All those FBI guys are deep staters.

  40. Two associates of Rudy Giuliani made their initial appearance before a federal judge on Thursday, less than 24 hours after they were arrested on campaign finance violations while trying to board an international flight with one-way tickets at Dulles International Airport outside of Washington D.C.

    Why and How…..

Why were they leaving with one way tickets…. ?

They weren’t arrested until they were boarding….. How did they know they were going to be arrested so they should flee the country ?

Mahons I think their arrest is a stunt coordinated with the DNC and the Southern District of NY just like the Ten other cases out of that office are.

As for my incisrance of the upcoming arrests I’ll ask you.

Has the AG and the 2 IGs finished they’re investigations yet…… ?

  42. incisrance… insistence

  43. They heard footsteps of the G men

    It happens

  44. lol…. or Rudy tipped them off.

I don’t want to believe that……. it is one possibility though.

  45. So Trump’s handpicked US Attorney is part of the vast conspiracy against Trump?
I don’t know why they had 1 way tickets, but it sure doesn’t sound good.
Do you not see anything possibly amiss with them (and Giuliani’s problem now).

  46. Who needs imaginary ‘external meddling’ when the internal meddling is sufficient to ensure results……

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=9&v=dPcGFjyGxI4

I want to thank you all very much for your support. I need to share something with you. It is very important.

There are so many of you who I’ve met in Iowa and New Hampshire who have expressed to me how frustrated you are that the DNC and corporate media are essentially trying to usurp your role as voters in choosing who our Democratic nominee will be.

I share your concerns, and I’m sure that all our supporters throughout the country do as well.

The 2016 Democratic Primary election was rigged by the DNC and their partners in the corporate media against Bernie Sanders.

In this 2020 election, the DNC and corporate media are rigging the election again, but this time against the American people in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.

They are attempting to replace the roles of voters in the early states, using polling and other arbitrary methods which are not transparent or democratic, and holding so-called debates which are not debates at all but rather commercialized reality television meant to entertain, not inform or enlighten.

In short, the DNC and corporate media are trying to hijack the entire election process.

  47. I don’t think Rudy tipped them off unless he is totally crazy. I do suspect that lunch might have been under surveillance though.

  48. If Rudy tipped them off, he’s totally going to jail.

But there would be others too who could have given them a warning.

Yeah I hear that a lot about that appointment, but I’m watching the cases they’ve been bringing. Actions say that office has a vendetta and has been carrying the backup water for the DNC even Mueller was farming things to that office and every case they’ve brought has been a nothing burger.

They are doing everything they can to root through his tax records hoping they can find something… that’s not how this is supposed to work.

If the two clowns were funneling illegal money through Rudy I say lock them all up right up to Trump and Rudy should get the worst sentence of them all if he’s gone bad….

  50. Let’s look further……

    https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/10/10/is-america-in-her-final-days-will-america-be-here-next-year-next-decade/

Many people regard Matt Taibbi as a leftist as he writes for the sometimes foolish Rolling Stone magazine. I regard Taibbi as a vicious truth-teller, who, leftwing or not, has integrity and intelligence far above the Identity Politics American left who are not even worth wiping your ass with.

Taibbi’s truthful account below tells you that the Democrats are incapable of speaking any truth, and so is the whore American media that services the Democrats and the Deep State. The Democrats are serial liars. They are destroying the fragile political stability of the United States. A country–whose unity has been destroyed by Identity Politics, whose middle class jobs have been offshored to Asia by corrupt American corporations kowtowing to corrupt Wall Street, a country whose media on which the Founding Fathers relied to protect American liberty from a rapacious State is the complete and total whore of the oligarchs who control the explanations and the agendas–is no longer a country, no longer a people. Overrun by immigration, America is a Tower of Babel.

So the economic advisor to the Reagan government says that leftist Taibbi has it correct…..

It’s fair to wonder if this is a one-person effort. Even former CIA official Robert Baer, no friend of Trump, said as much in an early confab on CNN with Brooke Baldwin:

BALDWIN: You’ve seen your fair share of whistleblower complaints. Right, Bob?

BAER: I have. And I have never seen them this well put together where the law is cited, the classifications are right. The argument is impeccable.

To me, Brooke, it looks like a bill of indictment aired by several people, but that’s speculation……
    ………

BAER: That’s what I find remarkable, is that this whistleblower knew about that, this attempt to cover up. This is a couple of people. It isn’t just one.

BALDWIN: And on the people point, if the allegation is true, Bob, what does it say that White House officials, lawyers, wanted to cover it up?

BAER: You know, my guess, it’s a palace coup against Trump. And who knows what else they know at this point.

But, you know, this is not an ordinary whistleblower complaint. It is, like I said, well put together, well thought out, and handled exactly right within the limits of the law. And this is what has the president scared. These people know what they’re doing.

I have a lot of qualms about impeachment/“Ukrainegate,” beginning with this headline premise of the lone, conscience-stricken defender of democracy arrayed against the mighty Trump. I don’t see it. Donald Trump is a jackass who got elected basically by accident, campaigning against a political establishment too blind to its own unpopularity to see what was coming.

In 2016 we saw a pair of electoral revolts, one on the right and one on the left, against the cratering popularity of our political elite. The rightist populist revolt succeeded, the Sanders movement did not. Ukrainegate to me looks like a continuation of Russiagate, which was a reaction of that defeated political elite to the rightists. I don’t feel solidarity with either group.

    That’s a useful phrase by Taibbi –

“…..a political establishment too blind to its own unpopularity to see what was coming”

    Brexit explained

  51. Giuliani is like Frank Rizzo in my family…… if he went dirty charge him with treason and hang him that’s how angry and disappointed I’d be.

  52. Those two guy’s owned a business named Fraud Guarantee and their bar was named Mafia Rave.

    Seriously.

  53. There are so many Trump associates with Ukrainian ties (Manafort, Gates, Giuliani, Cohen, Pence, Pompeo, Sondland, Igor & Lev, etc) that it’s easy to forget that Semion Mogilevich, head of the Russian mob & one of Trump’s most powerful whoremasters, was born and raised in Kiev.

Google “Semion Mogilevich and Trump” – the results are amazing.

  54. Those one way Vienna tickets? They where probably going to pop in on their employer, Dmytro Firtash. Another Ukrainian oligarch/mafia guy who happens to live in Vienna!

Indicted Giuliani associate worked on behalf of Ukrainian oligarch Firtash

  55. Drain that swamp, they said

  56. It’s like Watergate but everyone is an idiot and they spend their time eating lead paint chips and hitting themselves in the head with hammers.

  57. I wonder will all this ever be published as a comic.

  58. Rudy meet the Trump bus…

Asked if Rudy Giuliani is still his personal attorney, Trump at WH departure said, ‘I dont know. I haven’t spoken to Rudy… he has been my attorney’

  59. I have a perfect title for the comic/book/movie about TrumpGiuliani etc

As recycled from a book by the late Jimmy Breslin, famous NYC columnist and author

It was about laughably incompetent Mafia guys so it fits completely

    https://www.amazon.com/Gang-That-Couldnt-Shoot-Straight/dp/0316111740

  60. The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight is the story of Papa Baccala, a Brooklyn Mafia boss, and Kid Sally Palumbo, a would-be capo who “couldn’t run a gas station at a profit even if he stole the customers’ cars”. There’s also Kid Sally’s grandmother, who will go to extravagant lengths to see her boy make his mark. A love interest? Sure. Kid Sally’s sister tumbles for an artistic type who rides a bicycle and has recently arrived from Calabria…

The high adventure begins with a six-day bike race that is only partly responsible for a rash of obituary notices reading: “Died. Suddenly”. Eventually it all gets worked out in fine Sicilian fashion — and, in the end, everybody gets his, in a manner of speaking.

Tell me that this doesn’t make you think of Trump. I dare you.

  61. Oops missed the full Trump quote. It’s even worse.

Trump: “Well, I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to Rudy. I spoke to him yesterday briefly. He’s a very good attorney, and he has been my attorney.”

  62. Judas Iscariot Trump

Loyal to no man and no woman.

  63. good book

  64. This line from All The President’s Men seem apt – The truth is these aren’t very bright guys and things got out of hand.

  65. lol Daphne
I love seeing people caught who have clearly been very busy :
“There are so many Trump associates with Ukrainian ties
(Manafort, Gates, Giuliani, Cohen, Pence, Pompeo, Sondland, Igor & Lev, etc)”

Its a shitstorm , but hey what’s new?
The Barr just gets lower every day is all.
    popcorn time 🙂

  66. I liked Breslin, most of the time.

He had a big mouth, but he did some good writing.

Assigned to cover the JFK funeral, he instead went to Arlington, before, and wrote a column about the man who dug JFK’s grave, that has been remembered.

James Winners, another gravedigger, nodded. He said he would fill a couple of carts with this extra-good soil and take it back to the garage and grow good turf on it. “He was a good man,” Pollard said. “Yes, he was,” Metzler said. “Now they’re going to come and put him right here in this grave I’m making up,” Pollard said. “You know, it’s an honor just for me to do this.”

Pollard is 42. He is a slim man with a mustache who was born in Pittsburgh and served as a private in the 352nd Engineers battalion in Burma in World War II. He is an equipment operator, grade 10, which means he gets $3.01 an hour. One of the last to serve John Fitzgerald Kennedy, who was the 35th president of this country, was a working man who earns $3.01 an hour and said it was an honor to dig the grave.

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/jimmy-breslin-on-jfks-assassination-two-classic-columns

  67. we need writers like that today

  68. I wonder if Rudy has a one-way ticket and to where.

  69. Breslin was a great mob reporter and he had a sense of humor….

In 1969, Breslin ran for president of the New York City Council in tandem with Norman Mailer, who was seeking election as mayor, on the unsuccessful independent 51st State ticket advocating secession of the city from the rest of the state. A memorable quote of his from the experience: “I am mortified to have taken part in a process that required bars to be closed.”[9] The ticket was referred to as “Vote the Rascals In”.[10][11]

  70. Look at the simplicity of the words, and the detail.

    Every comma doing it’s job.

  71. If Rudy is crooked he deserves a one way ticket to the chair for betraying the 1000s of Law Enforcement officers that have stood by him his entire career.

  72. We Eat our Own.

  73. sorry mahons last one I promise

I can’t believe we can’t get away from these people….

    https://thehornnews.com/chelsea-clinton-is-running-for-congress/

  74. Chelsea is not running for congress. That’s a rumor.

And if she did, so what? We have plenty of Bush”s, Cheney’s, Kennedy’s, Hunter’s, Romney’s, etc. who follow in their parent’s political footsteps. Just like your family is full of cops, other families are full of politicians.

  75. Political crime families are really bad things.

    They should be strongly discouraged.

  76. Via ABC.

On deployment of thousands of additional U.S. troops to Saudi Arabia, Pres. Trump says, “Are you ready: Saudi Arabia, at my request, has agreed to pay us for everything we’re doing. That’s a first!”

Great, now US forces are paid mercenaries.

Trump has committed thousands of US military personnel to SA. So much for getting troops out of the middle east.

  77. I agree Phantom. But it’s a thing some families do.

  78. So he doesn’t want to Get out of so called endless war

He wants to position our troops as tripwires for new endless war, One much worse than the Iraq war was.

    Hooray for the double cross!

    Death to the Kurds !

  79. When you think of all the people Trump has betrayed in his presidency and his life including all of his wives, it’s all the more impressive that he has never betrayed Putin.

It is the only part of this presidency that is completely consistent at every level.

  80. And if she did, so what? We have plenty of Bush”s, Cheney’s, Kennedy’s, Hunter’s, Romney’s, etc. who follow in their parent’s political footsteps. Just like your family is full of cops, other families are full of politicians.

Cops provide a service to society Politicians don’t. The job was NEVER supposed to be a career let alone a family tradition. A politician is supposed to be a temporary legislature who after making their riches or name in Private Society was to the give 4 or 6 yrs back in service as a thanks.

Not this pack of elitists who believe they are above the Law that we have serving now on all sides.

  81. He should abandon the Saudi’s.

Let the oil fields burn. See if the EU sends their army after a winter of no oil.

    Come on EU step up.

  82. //Asked if Rudy Giuliani is still his personal attorney, Trump at WH departure said,
“Well, I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to Rudy. I spoke to him yesterday briefly. He’s a very good attorney, and he has been my attorney.” //

That’s just too good. Straight out of a comedy script. Good catch, Daphne.

Looks like Giuliani has a one-way ticket to nowhere.

  83. Trump is the sort of man who could say with a straight face “ I don’t know this Rudy guy. I have never heard of him or met him in my life “ . When confronted with footage of them meeting many times he would shrug and say “ I meet many people I don’t know who they all are “

  84. Looks like Giuliani has a one-way ticket to nowhere

Maybe, but he probably knows enough about Trump’s dirty dealings to take the schmuck down with him. The schmuck has gotta be worried.

  85. Colm

Trumps strongest influence in life by a mile Was the horrific Roy Cohn

When Cohn was dying of AIDS in hospital , Trump never once visited

    Zero loyalty

  86. I saw a documentary about Roy Cohn once. I could only conclude that he was a very self loathing embittered individual. Interesting that Trump was so closely associated with him.

  87. Let the oil fields burn. See if the EU sends their army after a winter of no oil

Pat, the EU has no army and imports less Saudi oil than the US does. What kind of ridiculous comment is that?
