THEY’RE OUTRAGED AGAIN

By Pete Moore On November 5th, 2019

Jacob Rees-Mogg has been criticised for saying it would have been “common sense” to flee the Grenfell Tower fire, ignoring fire brigade advice.

No really. This is the main commie talking point of the day. There’s an election on, see, and they haven’t fully milked Grenfell.

I don’t know about you but if I’m in a burning building I’m GTFOD. That’s common sense to me. To the left it’s a resigning matter when a politician says the same.

But I can see a compromise here, a way to get past division. Normal people should evacuate a burning building by the nearest exit; leftists should stay put and await instructions.

Excellent proposal, why can’t the leftists get on board?

  2. There are times when fleeing will get you killed ( running down into a smoky stairway ) and when staying put will keep you alive

This was not one of those times for multiple reasons

The building wasn’t safe, and the regulators didn’t do their job well at all

  3. It’s very easy to armchair critique what other people should do after a horrific chaotic disastrous event that would have plunged these poor people into a situation unimaginable and unprepared for. They listened to the advice of professional rescuers who they felt they had to trust . They rightfully assumed that staying in their flats while the fire was put out elsewhere in the building is what would have helped save them. Peter sneers that the left are politicising the tragedy and Rees Moggs comments and yes of course that will occur but heaven forbid anyone could accuse Pete of doing the same thing too.

  4. Not Peter. Pete.

  5. Auto type error. I know it was our Pete. Peter is far too sensible and principled to write such opportunistic rubbish. 😉

  6. !!!

  7. Every time in the past that Pete has brought up Grenfell, I’ve wondered if he would be this callous had the victim’s been predominantly white?

  8. What a derisively meanspirited, odious comment.

  9. My Comment?

  10. I blame no victims here.

I blame the London and UK regulators big time.

  11. Some people are trying to make scapegoats of the firefighters. Disgusting.

  12. No, of course not. The initial JRM comment and the subsequent comments in the post.

  13. Pete

Do you think it is always good advice to flee a burning building

If you were on the 15th floor and there was a smoky fire below you , Do you think it’s a great idea to head downstairs

  14. “What a derisively meanspirited, odious comment.”

Looks like lefties are incapable of abstraction. Explains much.

  15. Yeah, try ‘abstracting’ the Rotherham victims and see how far you get.

  16. Peter sneers that the left are politicising the tragedy ..

I don’t sneer it. I say it straight because that’s what the left is doing. The left has ridden that horse from before the flames were out.

  17. Compared to your brilliantly incisive and thoughtful comments on this post apl ?

  18. Pete

Your riding an equally opportunistic horse in the other direction on this matter.

  19. It is not a left position to not criticize those who did what they could, nor is it a left position to condemn your UK regulators who did not regulate as well as Germany or NYC building departments did.

  20. “Leave a burning building” might be opportunistic in your favela. It’s common sense in England.

  21. No it is not.

If you are above the fire, it is sometimes best not to take the stairway and walk righ into smoke or fire.

    Ask a fireman, Pete.

You have 20/20 hindsight here, which is all very lah dee dah, but you do not speak common sense for all situations.

  22. The vast majorities of fires in Tower Blocks are out out long before they destroy the whole building. This is the first time this has happened on this scale to a residential tower block here in the U.K. it is perfectly understandable to imagine why residents accepted being continuing told by professional firefighters to stay in their flats and not to block the stairs or cause a crowd blockage on the lower levels while trusting those professionals to extinguish the fire. They had no expectation a once in a generation total destruction of their whole tower block building would occur . It is utter nonsense to claim they had no common sense and should have ignored the advice of the firefighters.

  23. The truth about Pete’s. Comments here are actually nothing to do with the actual events and advice relating to the fire . Pete is looking at this entirely through the prism of the ‘culture war’ between Right and Left and sadly the issue of the Grenfell fire has become like Climate Change one of the ‘war’s totems. Rees Mogg is a right wing Tory Brexiteer and Grenfell campaigners and supporters are all “leftie remoaner scum” and that is the entire reason Pete is on his side.

  24. Petem always sides with the elite like Tory boy Eton millionaire toff Rees Mogg. But tomorrow, with a straight face ,will do a post condeming elitists sticking it to proud Anglo Saxon stock white proud nationalist .
Always wants it both ways . Kinky eh !

  25. Those firemen ( and the ones who gave similar advice on 9/11 ) did not have perfect information.

    Fireman Pete knows everything.

    Today.

  26. Yeah he ran into the wrong guy phantom tonite .you . Esp with knowledge of 9/11. Oops own goal their petem. Rage posting always backfires. Tut tut

  27. Maybe Allan can give some expert fire safety advice.

  28. “Yeah, try ‘abstracting’ the Rotherham victims and see how far you get.”

Related to the Grenfell fire, not much?

  30. //Related to the Grenfell fire, not much?//

Rightworld are obviously only ‘capable of abstraction’ when it suits their narrative.

  31. “Rightworld are obviously only ‘capable of abstraction’ when it suits their narrative.”

But I am genuinely interested in how the Grenfell fire is related to Rotherham rapes?

  32. Looking at the logic of the post both sets of victims should have immediately extricated themselves from their situations.

    Is that’abstract’ enough for you?

  33. Rees- Mogg made comments that were insensitive and monstrously tone-deaf at best, Dismissive and cruel To the families of the dead at worst

Any decent person should be angry with him for what he said.

I don’t hear of any significant criticism there of UK building regulators who failed to regulate properly , The way that other named jurisdictions regulated properly by banning this cladding by its name, so that there was no gray area at all

Sure – fires don’t cause steel buildings to collapse, except in the US so if you’re in a fire in the US, get out before the building collapses.

    No collapses in Russia

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=11&v=izNDNHK3_N8

Flames have enveloped all floors of the highest building in the North Caucasus, southern Russia. All people have managed to leave the building.

    nor in Dubai

  35. Looking at the logic of the post both sets of victims should have immediately extricated themselves from their situations.

Ah yes – that would involve the ‘authorities’. Here’s a girl in a multi-cultural school describing what happens when pakis make threats (and these are for real) of rape……

  36. Fireman Allan

Did 767s Crash into the building you mention, at high Speed?

After all these years, you still need some basic education on Structures, and what keeps them up and what brings them down !

  37. Allan

Charles de Gaulle is a major airport in Paris. Some here would have been through it.

In 2004, a fairly new passenger terminal collapsed. There was no fire, and no airplanes hit it.

Was this a ” controlled demolition ” by the French surrender monkey deep state, or might it have been a design and/or construction flaw. Do architects or engineers ever make significant errors, or have we reached the era of human infallibility?

  38. Phantom – structures fail through the weakest path which for WTCs 1, 2 and 7 just happened to be themselves – vertically through themselves. Something very wrong with American constructions so stay out of them.

  39. Airplanes flew into WTC 1 and 2.

If this size airplane flies into any building, bad things will happen.

And we’ve spoken about WTC 7.

I was very familiar with all three buildings, wish that they stood still.

  40. In 2004, a fairly new passenger terminal collapsed.

I had a look at it and it looks identical to a steel-framed high-rise of the type which was engulfed in flames in Beijing, Grozny, Grenfell, Caracas. Yes – you have confirmed everyhting 🙂

  41. Oh?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Magnitogorsk_building_collapse

    https://www.hoax-slayer.net/true-collapse-of-13-story-building-in-china/

I can send a very long list of building collapses in China and Russia, which may help in your education.

Evidently all caused by Jewish deep state Chinese and Russian operatives.

  42. Allan

What was the cause of the CDG terminal collapse

I mean with you being a big experta and all, I am sure that you have studied this event a great deal

  43. And I am amazed that you’ve never commented on the Magnitogorsk building collapse.

How can such a collapse be caused by a mere gas explosion? They expect us to believe that? Aren’t we allowed to ask questions? To seek the Truth?

We all know that construction standards in Russia as so high.

Please do a full report for the benefit of the site.

    Thank you.

  44. Phantom – thanks for that, and the descriptions of causes of collapse are in the links which you provided but didn’t read. I couldn’t see ‘fire’ as the cause of any of these collapses so, as above, and given that fire only brings down steel-framed buildings in the US, my expert advice as you requested is to stay away from steel-framed buildings in the US.

  45. “Looking at the logic of the post both sets of victims should have immediately extricated themselves from their situations.”

Well, it takes a singular sort of personality who on the one hand watches people burning to death in their apartments, and thinks; ‘You know what I’d like now? A side serving of child rape and sexual exploitation’. But each to ‘is own, as they say tup North.

By the way, you are incorrect. Many of the victims of systematic child rape did go to the Police and were either disbelieved, defamed, arrested or called prostitutes by the Police.

What sort of a person is it who when faced with repeated and manifold shortcomings of the State Sector ( in both scenario’s ) still adheres to the idea that to address those shortcomings, we need more Statism?

  46. Well, it takes a singular sort of personality who on the one hand watches people burning to death in their apartments, and thinks; ‘You know what I’d like now? A side serving of child rape and sexual exploitation’

Hey, that’s your ‘abstraction’ for you.
